Haven't caught up.. As went to bed early last night.. But just to say orange stop torturing yourself and step away from the mmc stories !

Enjoy lactolose owls! Did you know that apple juice does the sane thing? Have to give it to Ds for that very same reason :)

Velvetcu · 22/02/2011 11:49

Yay dachs I'm grinning for you too :)

Wombat33 · 22/02/2011 11:51

Dachs! Fab news on the scan Grin Grin Don't fret about the difference in their hbs. They are both well within the normal range and the rate will fluctuate all the time. Apparently it depends a lot on how active they're being at any given moment and as two little individuals they are bound to be dififerent! Grin

digitalgirl · 22/02/2011 11:51

Brilliant news dachs brilliant. And so glad you're one of the no symptoms types too, makes me feel a bit better about my 'slightly heavy' boobs and v occasional womb twinges being my ONLY symptoms.

nickstermum · 22/02/2011 11:57

Cross posts d, that's awesome news xxx

DoubleDiffedDachs · 22/02/2011 12:03

Thanks guys :)

Do any of you know how to date a pregnancy from IVF? Everything on the internet says it's dated from 14 days before the egg collection date (which is the fertilisation date) but the clinic today said it was from 14 days before the embryo transfer date, which is 3 days later. I know it doesn't make a lot of difference, but it seems implausible that it's dated from 3 days after fertilisation to me, so I've been calculating from egg collection. Any thoughts?

DoubleDiffedDachs · 22/02/2011 12:07

dig I fully expect that now I'm feeling happy to have zero symptoms and am more convinced that I might actually have a baby after all that the symptoms will kick in with a vengeance and I'll get really bad ms. Until that happens though I'm going to try to relax and stay zen :)

nickstermum · 22/02/2011 12:12

Velvet, some bleeding usually does happen around implantation, ESP it seems after mc,sadly! Keep an eye on it, is it just a bit or being followed by any more? Hopefully it's just a bit of old blood!

I am told that after mc your lining can be quite thick so it's quite normal as baby burrows to dislodge some lining xx ((hugs)) though as it's not reassuring ! Nothing is xx

DoubleDiffedDachs · 22/02/2011 12:18

velvet I had loads of implantation bleeding, FX it's just that for you as well

KnitterNotTwitter · 22/02/2011 12:23

Hey

Back from my scan and all is well :-) Saw little bean and very little heartbeat. I'd calculated us as being 6+1 but it's only measuring 5+4 but that's ok :) Revised due date of 21/10/2011.... Which would be very handy as it's probably half term week and my sister who is a teacher could look after DS - but maybe I'm thinking too far ahead.... Hmm

Obviously I cried with the relief of it not being ectopic. I also told them that I'd be back at 9 weeks to see how it was doing.... the MMC started struggling at 8 weeks and I will need to know how this one is doing....

Thrilled for your pups Dachs

KnitterNotTwitter · 22/02/2011 12:24

And hugs to velvet too - bleeding is just the scariest thing to see :(

DoubleDiffedDachs · 22/02/2011 12:28

thanks knitter you too :) And I'm sure bean will show up exactly on its due date too Wink

I think the next 5 weeks are going to go really slowly - I just want to reach that magical 12 weeks and start to relax a little

nickstermum · 22/02/2011 12:30

Sorry orange, that did sound a bit harsh! I also meant to say you have had your scan, the chances of something going wrong as per your stat is very slim, but sadly we do all know of peeps who have suffered the agony of a late mc...if the mc association says 99+% then there must be something in it. You have no reason to think it's hone wrong. Xx Grin

Yey for miniknitter xxxx whoop :)

Dachs, it doesn't get that much easier even after 12 weeks, only when you can hear the heartbeat or feel movement really does it get just a little reassuring!!

KnitterNotTwitter · 22/02/2011 12:46

I know - was very excited to see heartbeat. The first thing she said apart from 'the fanjocam will be a bit cold' was 'well it's not ectopic' then 'i can see the nice sac' then 'and the baby' then 'i'm estimating 5+4'. At that point I thought that we wouldn't see the heartbeat but then she said she could see it :) Clever little bean :)

DH was a dream and infact is on best behaviour generally at the moment :) :) :)

digitalgirl · 22/02/2011 12:59

hooray knitter that's really great news.

(although little bit scared as could only see sac and yolk at 5+2 at my last scan)

mamapower · 22/02/2011 12:59

awwww teaccake big squeeze hon... my painful cramps lasted until about week6/7 and I still get them every now and then.

knitter whooooooop for your bean GrinGrin my dates were significantly different too

Dachs great news on beans too Grin having seen that both me and knitter have very diff gestational age to our calculated age I would wait until your dating scan from a precise answer... dating whther from LMP or IVF is a very inexact science... be patient my love, you know roughly when they are due and soon enough you'll have a date Smile

Orange like everyone has said... stop reading mc boards. It'll fook up your head and needlessly freak you out... you and bean are doing well, stay positive Smile

PinkFondantFancy · 22/02/2011 13:17

Wow fab news on the scans so far!! dacha did you hear the heartbeats?? That is so cool.

digi don't be scared, things change so fast and a couple of days either way make a big difference.

velvet big hugs for you try and hamg in there-lots of the others have been through the same thing but I know it's scary.

mamap mwah Creme eggs and donuts on nom nom. If it helps I am using exactly the same thing-I normally wouldn't eat this stuff but it's all i fancy and the thought of anything else makes me want to puke. I've gone up to size 14 (have been size 12 forever) and even that's starting to get tight..... On the upside I didn't have this last time so I'm counting it as a Good Thing. Also, I think things should hopefully settle down by week 15 ish and then we can try and feed our little beans something more healthy then! nix plastic diet ended around then I think?

owly thanks for the tip-I'm a bit scared to go in Mothercare Confused but worth it if they've got some nice bras. mamap you recommended somewhere too-where was it again?

I am on a train to Birmingham and don't usually get travel sick but this is making me feel dire!!!

mamapower · 22/02/2011 13:45

pinkety pink I'd be sick if I was on the way to Brom too WinkGrin Do you have a translator available for the yam yam talk??? No offense brommies out there, I love you all Smileand yes I can say that I live 30 min's away, so it's my home too!
Thanks chiccadee that's of some comfort, I just ordered two bump bands in the hope that'll extend the fit and life of my usual jeans/work trousers by a couple of weeks. Also, Hot milk on figleaves for sexy maternity/nursing bra's madame Wink Incidentally, I think I metioned this already but anyway, bra extenders £3 from Jojo M B for 4, got one on today and it does help, might give me an extra couple of weeks.

Wombat33 · 22/02/2011 13:46

Whoop for knitterbean!!! And to see a hb too - fantastic news!!

pink yeah - i heard them! They put the cursor on the little flickery heartbeat we could see and then turned the volume up - we heard them! And they've given us loads of pictures, including the little trace fo the heartbeats :)

They've labelled the pups 'Twin One' and 'Twin Two' on the pictures, in case we couldn't work it out for ourselves Hmm

DoubleDiffedDachs · 22/02/2011 14:07

tunnocks nice! Hope you're feeling a bit better now :)
