Izzy we have already reserved you a beanbag honey bunch :) cannot wait for you to hop over xxx

lovemysleep · 05/02/2011 22:18

wombat33 hope you can get a scan asap, and that it's good news - fingers and toes crossed for you.

hairy sounds reassuring, so hope that turns out ok for you too.

Am eating soooooo much for dinner these days - hard to work out if it's the steroids or the pg. Just seem to eat until I almost burst! Maybe just need to get moving a bit more to work it off a bit.....

Can now add olives to the list of things I now can't stomach - aswell as my usual fave, brown sauce. Was as if someone had added a cupful of cinnamon to the sauce and it was WRONG......

But am positively skipping at having symptoms, but am not loving the knicker-checking.

Brilliant to have you lot to rant to, and maybe be able to give some advice that helps - maybe that's a good thing to come out of all the shite you go through with recurrent mc - that you can pass some info on that helps others to get their babies eventually. That actually feels quite nice and fuzzy......

PinkFondantFancy · 05/02/2011 22:50

Hello love nice to meet you-hope the 'roids continue to do a good job.

((( womby ))) so sorry you're having such a stressful time-roll on Monday and hopefully some reassuring news.

Big waves to izz!!!

Experienced ladies I need some advice-I have basically turned into a snail today-loads of White or clear stickiness when I wipe like my fanjo has sneezed snot everywhere (although nothing much in my pants)-should I be worried??

lovemysleep · 05/02/2011 22:56

pink would love to help on that one, but am currently leaving a trail of progesterone, as have to stick one up my fanjo every night (either that, or my bumhole, so no contest really!).

Can't remember from DD - she's 5, and have rubbish memory...hope someone can help though.

PinkFondantFancy · 05/02/2011 23:29

love I too am on progesterone but tried it once in my fanjo and it burned like hell and gave me cystitis... So sadly I have to shove it up my arse each night-gruesome but if I end up with a baby, worth it!! Pretty sure the snail trail is coming from the fanjo tho.

OrangeGloss · 06/02/2011 00:07

Wombat I hope time passes as quickly as it can, I was told that lots of women bleed and are fine but it didn't help much, we'll try and keep you company and listen in the meantime tho. My out of hours GP referred me for a scan on Sunday as I had bled, don't know if there's a service like that where you are? It was at the EPAU which was officially closed but they were seeing a few

Hairy the bloods sound great, and good evidence things are moving in the right direction and it was just too early

lovemysleep · 06/02/2011 09:41

pink hehehehe..... and ouch! yes, think we'll all do anything to get a baby! Sure the snail trail is completely normal though...still must get discharge (god, I hate that word) from your fanjo, even though being pg, as surely it still needs to keep itself healthy, and I thought that part of the secretions are cleansing your bits?

PinkFondantFancy · 06/02/2011 10:08

Dr google was helpful for once this morning-it's called leukorrhea (spelling!?!?!) and as long as it's White or clear and doesn't smell it's normal apparently.

digitalgirl · 06/02/2011 10:09

wombat hope bleeding has slowed and scan tomorrow is reassuring. Thinking of you.

So I still have that empty feeling overnight. It doesn't even feel like I'm due af. In all my previous PGs I've had a definite feeling of heaviness in my womb, feeling it growing and thickening from the moment of implantation. But not getting that at all, the only thing I can think might be affecting it is the aspirin. Wondered if having thinner blood meant I can't feel as much pressure down there?

Anyway, my hpt was looking noticeably darker this morning - so hcg is definitely rising even if nothing else is happening. And temp is still high at 15dpo which is my traditional temp drop day. So these things reassure me for now.

Wombat33 · 06/02/2011 10:10

thank for the hugs. I phoned our out of hours service and the local epu and neither could arrange anything til monday anyway. Part of me is trying to pretend it.s not happening and everything will be okay. I'm holding on to two things: it started on the day my period would have been due, and apparently that's not unusual, and it hasn't got worse, maybe even a bit better since friday and is now only brown - "brown blood is old blood" is my hourly mantra! I'm totally terrifed about tomorrow's scan and to make matters worse I'm under huge pressure at work and short of needing to attend my own funeral, really can't get out of it all until friday. Argh.

banana87 · 06/02/2011 11:22

Hi ladies, can I join?

I am not upduffed yet, but working on it :) Currently waiting for AF to make her arrival.

Quick background,I have had a MMC-8 weeks but died at 6, DD (now 2), MMC-6 weeks, incomplete mc 7 weeks. I have had basic blood tests and have just emailed Dr. Shehata in the hopes he agrees to my proposal which is to just test me for NK cells since I have already had clotting, etc done (recently). My consultant has agreed to give me baby aspirin and progesterone from BFP...does anyone have any experience of progesterone? Side effects? Effectiveness?

HongKongBaby · 06/02/2011 11:37

Digi Good news HPT darker this morning. For what its worth I 'felt' pregnant with miscarriage but with DD did not even notice til 5 or 6 weeks, so that feeling may not always be a guide to success. I hope so as I do not feel pregnant this time.

Wombat sorry you are going through this all this anxiety again and with work pressure as well, you must be exhausted from it all. Fingers x'd for tomorrow's scan.

Banana welcome. Sorry for your losses. There are some other threads here that you might like too, 'recurrent buns' and 'ttc after miscarriage' I can't link but if you browse the board you should find them. I have taken progesterone for all 3 pregnancies, side effect = tiredness for me, not sure what others find. The effectiveness would really depend on the reasons behind the miscarriage I guess, if its a hormonal thing then presumably it will help?

Scan for me tomorrow, I really hope they can just see SOMETHING, I will settle for not a lot!!

lovemysleep · 06/02/2011 11:45

Hi banana - nice to see you here too...

Have only been taking progesterone for a week, and haven't noticed any side effects as yet. As for effectiveness, I remember reading Lesley Regans views on it and I'm pretty sure that she thinks that it isn't that effective in stopping mc, maybe just delays it......but it does seem to be pretty widely prescribed as standard for most recurrent mc sufferers.

From all the research that I have done, it still does seem that some treatments for mc are still inconclusive, but they struggle to get definitive answers as pg women don't really want to be tested on for obvious reasons. They then can't do big, standardised trials....

That's what I've digested from the research that I've done - hope I've remembered it correctly, as my brain can be sieve-like.

By the way, Dr S should just test you for the ones you want - he told us that he wouldn't bother testing for some of the others, as we had already had them. He's good like that - considerate of the expense of private treatment, and keen to save you money.

owlbooty · 06/02/2011 12:08

Womble v.glad it seems to be tailing off. Brown blood is definitely a good thing. What time is your scan on Monday? Will be crossing fingers furiously.

banana hello lovely :) Our door is always open and there is no bouncer guarding it - in fact, we have all these beanbags ready and waiting for all the ladies we're hoping will be joining us very soon but I feel I should warn you that we do witter on constantly about symptoms, scans, random bleeding and morning sickness (we were worried that we were taking over the mc-and-trying-again thread as a bunch of us got bfps around the same time).

Tis very lovely indeed that we're seeing folk from the recurrent buns thread too though - we need more beanbags ordering :)

digi big, big hurrah for the stick getting darker! I love it when that happens. In fact, I've still got all the sticks with the DPO written on them (there are about 15 of them I think).

Pink and lovemysleep - ew. Just, ew. Grin Tis not dignified, this pregnancy lark, is it? Men have such an easy life.

DachshundsWantPuppies · 06/02/2011 13:05

owl 15?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?! And after everything you've said to me on the subject!

OP posts:
owlbooty · 06/02/2011 13:49

I've just got them out to check and there are actually 12. Anyone who wants to see the full crap line to marginally less crap line, I've stuck them on my profile page :)

Huzzah for the sore Biscuit Biscuit dachs .

However, don't think I'm gonna let you off that lightly. What did we all say about the evil CB digis?

Hungry all the time is definitely a symptom btw, as is knackered.

hairylights · 06/02/2011 13:51

Iin future I've decided there will be no more early scans. What is most worrying is that my nipples
were very sore yesterday but are not today.

Have been very wobbly today but feel better after a walk.am half thinking about having bloods repeated privately.

Mamapower · 06/02/2011 14:59

pmsl at owls pee stick collection, you and dachs both need therapy for poas ocd Grin Grin or perhaps I need therapy because I only did 2!!!!!

Hairy I spoke to my cousin yesterday who has been there and got the t-shirt, for pg after mc. I told her they saw bugger all on my scan and she was not shocked at all, what she was shocked about was that they even bothered, they barely found anything when they scanned her at 8 weeks. I think it causes us all more unnecessary panic. Glad you feel a bit better for a nice walk Smile

pink love well I have an outbreak of thrush (apparently v common in pg because the acidity down there changes when you're diffed) so am alternating between cannestan and live yoghurt! Nice! Grin

wombat and hk good luck with the scans tomorrow Smile

Hi banana sorry for your loss this is one of the threads referred to above, the girls there are AMAZING, I have been there since my first mc and it's so supportive Smile

ALovelyBunchOfCoconuts · 06/02/2011 15:34

owl I did 17 test and the shame that came over me when I told my GP was immense! Dh said to me after "Don't you think you should have perhaps changed it to 5 or 6?!"

owlbooty · 06/02/2011 16:29

17??? I think you are the winner so far although dachs may catch you up very shortly Grin

Wombat33 · 06/02/2011 16:55

Blush Blush Blush after reading your posts I went and checked my pee-stick drawer and counted Blush Blush I think I ought to take that information with me to the grave Blush Blush Blush

ALovelyBunchOfCoconuts · 06/02/2011 17:12

Spill wombat Grin

Mamapower · 06/02/2011 17:16

c'mon wombat out with it Grin

Mamapower · 06/02/2011 17:18

Serious question... why are you all poas'ing so much?? Have I missed something???

owlbooty · 06/02/2011 17:25

You have only missed quite literally throwing money down the toilet, MamaP - now spill, Wombat , the truth must out Grin
