Same as what wiseowl says I'm afraid dacha!!! how many of the bloody things did you buy??? Surely you've run out now? Grin Plus, you've seen the range of Hcg that's normal at each week-how is it supposed to know where is normal for you in that range?

Tbh I'm a bit Angry the clinic isn't holding your hand more.

((( lady ))) and I hope you're doing ok HK

I just made DH do an emergency service station stop-needed half a burger urgently to keep the retching at bay.... Acupuncture's doing naff all for the nausea but as I explained to the lady today, I think if it worked and the urge to attempt to vom vanished I'd be panicing. So not sure my minds on board with wanting rid!! I don't think she really understood :)

I'm off to meet family for some fish and chips am a bit worried about getting busted but we'll have to see how it goes!!

Ps bought a book today "how to stop worrying and start living"!!! Will let you know how it goes!!!!

owlbooty · 05/02/2011 12:14

My GP actually has "anxious ++" written on my electronic record so every locum I see immediately knows, I'm not sure if that's a good thing or a bad thing. Pink if it works please do tell me Grin

You could try cod's roe - I found that easier to stomach than fish for some freakish reason.

Also - toasted potato cakes with a microwaved tomato on are the best breakfast in the world ever. Fact.

OrangeGloss · 05/02/2011 12:26

Nix the only time the teeth brushing happened to me was when the electric battery died and I used an old manual one

Thanks Owl for reassurance :)

Pink good work on the burger, and good luck with lunch. I know what you mean, I almost don't want to feel well as while I feel like this it gives me hope

ALovelyBunchOfCoconuts · 05/02/2011 12:30

Hi all, have been away from this thread too long to catch up!!

owlbooty I'm with you on doing too many tests. I used the dip sticks from amazon and I think I got through 17 before I did a proper one from the pharmacy!

digi I took me all those 17 test and to about 18dpo before my line was really dark so don't worry. I had over a week of having to squint to see my faint line :)

hairyfairy just want to say hi and everyone over on the buns thread is wondering how your scan went. I think you defitnely need to stay positive, your levels are rising and there was a sac there. I think the sonographer has to be very vague on the forms until they can 100% guarantee what they are seeing. This conception malarkey is a minefield. On one hand I would love to go for a scan but on the other I know it would be petrifying and I would just be covering my eyes. Really feel for you xx

I too am living in leggings. I look pregnant, my jeans won't do up! Just leggings, long cardigans and flat leather boots for me. Wash and wear!

nickstermum · 05/02/2011 13:01

Hi coconuts i am familiar with you as am a stalker lurker on recurrent buns.

pink you burger monster...Grin hmmm fish and chipsGrin

Grin @ anxious on your notes - i had a nosey and saw '??Pregnant?? Patient' and i think thats from the first time i went to see the gp at 5 weeks and said 'im pg but i use that term lightly, not certain if i am, or whether its gonna stick but i have a pos pg test' Grin I suspect he followed that with "is also a bit mad" Grin

Cannot get enough of Ham and crispy salad baps..mmmm might have to change ham for chicken in a bid to be a bit more healthier... but yum!!

lovemysleep · 05/02/2011 13:21

hello everyone - just wanted to join in as am also on recurrent buns thread too.

Found out I was pg last weekend, so am currently 4 weeks. Have had 4 mc's previously, and have been seeing Dr Shehata as have very high NK cells.

Have been VERY lucky in getting pg in the 1st month of trying - about time for some good luck, I reckon! Had symptoms very early, from about day 23 of my cycle - nausea, implantation pain and spotting (only for about 3 days though). Am currently feeling dog-rough, wobbly and sick - hurrah! - but really bloody nervous......

Am on prednisolone, progesterone and aspirin daily.

Had an intraplipid infusion on wed, which is supposed to coat my NK cells to stop them from attacking my pg.

My mind is all over the place - it's gone form being convinced I'm having twins as I had symptoms so early (!!!!!!), worrying about a rubbish egg and all sorts of other things. My dd knows too, as I accidentally blabbed it - she's only 5, but knows the history of my mc's, as she's an inquisitive little monkey who doesn't miss a trick.

Due to have a scan when I'm almost 8 weeks with Dr.S - should be seeing him at 6 weeks, but don't think we can fit in an appointment. Am gonna phone the local EPAU, as they did say that I could get an early scan - am just worried that they may refuse me as I am going through private treatment. Just want to see what's happening in there as soon as I can really.

ALovelyBunchOfCoconuts · 05/02/2011 13:22

nickstermum - you're always welcome to post on there if you need to :) Do you have a history of mcs?

I can't stop drinking juice and eating cheese paninis!

lovemysleep · 05/02/2011 13:27

also meant to ask - when should I go to the doctors? Am tempted to just bloody leave it for as long as possible....

ALovelyBunchOfCoconuts · 05/02/2011 13:28

waves to lovemysleep :)

ALovelyBunchOfCoconuts · 05/02/2011 13:29

lovemysleep I have been to the GP. I went Wednesday when I turned 5 weeks. That was the advice of the MW. To go asap as they need to do the referral to the hospital of your choice.

lovemysleep · 05/02/2011 14:19

thanks coconuts.....and a big wave to you too.

Mamapower · 05/02/2011 14:52

pink I also am eating utter shite, my diet is currently made up of pickled onion monster much and cadbury cream eggs... mmmmmm! oh and owl you are so right about the ribena thing Grin

just had a lovely little afternoon nap after flying kites with dh!

Hi love wow, you do have a lot put up with, no wonder you are all over the place. I would def call the epau nurse to see if they'll scan you early, if that's what would put your mind at rest.

I went to my GP at 5 weeks to coco poor dear must have thought to herself 'here we go again* and that's when she referred me for an early scan before officially registering; assume the paperwork to refer was less than that to register Grin

lady they do say some handle the increase in hormones better than others so it would make sense that as your body starts to accept the increase your reaction of throwing up would be diminished.

hariy how you doing today sweets?

Waves to nix pretty* hk lemon lady digi bouncer silver choccie wombat emoo and special visitors I spied yesterday jolls and clare I hope I haven't missed anyone, tried really hard but brain is fuzzy!!!

nickstermum · 05/02/2011 15:22

coconuts i had one mc aug last year, and i lurked on recurrent buns for ages, picking up little tit bits of information! Now i have just followed the births which is inspiring to see :) Juice and thirst is good :)

love Congrats on the bfp, sorry its been such a journey for you. We have another lovely lady on here with high NKs although am sure she will be along soon! (hope you dont mind me saying that Pretty!)

mama utter shite is good!!!!! believe me i cannot believe the crap i shovelled into my mush to stem the nausea, and really i was soooo choosy about textures. We went out on christmas eve for food and all i could eat was tomatoes and onion. Still have a real thing for tomatoes! I dont remember my last 2 pgs being like this at all.

ALovelyBunchOfCoconuts · 05/02/2011 15:54

It's funny you should mention textures of foods. We had jacket potatoes with our dinner last night and the texture made me feel very green and I just couldn't eat it.

When I was pregnant with DD all I could eat was cheese, things with cheese or things cheese flavoured! Clearly needed the calcium!

hairyfairylights · 05/02/2011 16:33

Big wave to you all. Have just caught up with everyone, and wanted to update you.

Had a call at about 1pm (grrr) from the hospital after a bit of a sleepless night and meltdown morning (during which I'd vowed to stop trying and never put myself through this ever again for fear of being locked up mad - and then vowing to do ivf with donor eggs - and then visiting Dr Google, my not so helpful friend).

Anyhow. The doctor has booked me in for another scan next Friday and she says they are hoping it was too early to see anything properly yesterday.

When I asked about another HCG test, they said they didn't feel they need to as it has quadrupled since 26th Jan.

I asked ' is that normal' and she said it's very difficult to say, because there is no such thing as normal, but that quadrupling since 26th Jan means it's definately going in the right direction.

And that if I get any pain or bleeding to go straight to EPU/emergency gynae.

Thank you all for holding my hand, it's made such a difference.

It's just a matter of waiting and seeing now.

(Dachs: Im tempted to get a CB digi but my sister says they are the work of the Devil! - and she looked up her hcg - at about my stage hers was 6,300 so actually not too far off what mine is).

Wombat33 · 05/02/2011 16:52

yes bee we're at the same stage. I'm 9wks today by lmp but actually 8+5 I think. Symptoms have disappeared and I'm having a total freak out because I've been bleeding since last night Sad Can't get a scan or anything til monday and as it happens I'm due to have a private one monday anyway. Just going to be freaking til then!

nickstermum · 05/02/2011 18:05

Yikes wombat, can you get yourself down to a&e before monday? To give you a bit of reassurance so you arent mentalling for another 2 days? FX its like Oranges bleed xxx

hairs good stuff xxxxx step away from cbdigi!!!!

Mamapower · 05/02/2011 18:11

wombat ditto what nix said, a&e is always an option, if you don't want to wait, Big hugs hon x

hairylights · 05/02/2011 19:13

wombat agree with Nicks and Mamap.

owlbooty · 05/02/2011 20:07

Aw, Womble you poor thing - good you've got a scan booked in for Monday, bad that it's only Saturday today. Am giving you a very big virtual squeeze & hoping everything is okay. x

sleepy welcome - and blinking nora, missus, you've really been through the mill, v.glad you're in good hands and also feeling barfy. Fingers crossed this one sticks like a sticky thing and if you feel a pressing need to wail about anything, this is the place to do it :)

Nix and Mamap I am quite into tomatoes but my most recent food crush (it's not really strong enough to be a craving) is gammon. Every time I go out I order it. Massive slab of salty ham . This afternoon I decided I had to have some more so went out and bought a lump of uncooked gammon which I have just boiled - and now I don't bloody want it any more.

Bugger.

Hairy excellent news on the scan - a week can make such an enormous difference at this stage.

tonythetyger · 05/02/2011 20:53

Hairy - glad you've received some reassurance. I hope it goes better at the next one. I don't know why they tried to scan you abdominally at such an early stage. I thought it was taken as read that the only way you can see anything is internally until about 9 weeks?

nickstermum · 05/02/2011 21:00

Hey Tony! Good to see you here, hope the bouncing beans are making you sickly and shattered in the nice way of course!

Owl :) at the gammon!!! :) my belly is so huge tonight I am resting my arms on it:) :) :) chunky monkey :)

IzzyWizzyletsgetbusy · 05/02/2011 21:16

Just de-lurking to give some big (((hugs))) to hairy and wombat and to say I'm hoping you both get some good news next week and I'm thinking of all of you on this thread and willing you on to a boring uneventful pg x

Oh and also to pinch some of emoo's Wine - thanks!!

Mamapower · 05/02/2011 21:54
hairylights · 05/02/2011 21:56

tony they should be able to see egg sac and yolk sac by six weeks sometimes even a heart beat. They were checking it was in the womb as I've had an ectopic before .
