A safe place for everyone on the TTC after MC rollercoaster. Welcome and come in - virtual wine and chocolate for all, and lots of support and hand-holding until you get your BFP!

The thread moves fast but don't let that put you off - feel free to come along and stay to chat; or dip in and out with any questions.

If you want to join the stats, just add yourself to the list:

WTTC = waiting to TTC
UCL = usual cycle length

Good luck to all - here's hoping for lots of healthy, sticky BFPs by the end of the thread

Mousebacon Im really sorry to hear about your mc.
HUG to my fellow Geordiegirl. xx

OrangeGloss · 28/01/2011 06:44

Mowning, again I've missed so much
Welcome to the newbies, I am sorry for your losses and hope your time here is short

Wombat that's good service with the scan, I'm tempted to have another as my birthday is in between now and 12 week scan
Hadrian sorry about the -POAS it might be too early?
Mummya I think you can be forgiven this time for early POAS, and like Hadrian might just be too early, but then you know that cos you're the Oracle Wink :)
Mouse I'm glad you are now back home, and hope you are being well looked after, and have that sicknote to to shove up your bosses ass if he doesn't play nice
Ladybee I know exactly what you mean, I've needed to stay away from the Internet in general for my own sanity

We've hopefully booked a night away at a hotel/spa for tonight. Some kind of dinner, B+B and treatment last minute deal. I've spent so much time in the house feeling sad, I'm thinking a night away will wipe someone the slate clean and I'll come back to a fresh start. Don't know if that makes sense Blush Grin

Sorry for the lame catchup, I normally make notes, but I'm thinking of everyone and sending the appropriate sticky/positive vibes

OrangeGloss · 28/01/2011 06:45

Oh yeah, I won't be going in the sauna, etc I'm planning to lie by the pool and nap read

nickstermum · 28/01/2011 07:18

orange oooh spa, have a lovely relaxing time.

hello to everyone else hope you're all ok.

Chloe55 · 28/01/2011 09:40

Morning ladies,

Cep - sorry you think she is rearing her evil head Sad

Welcome Pooch & LILY Smile

Bee - totally understandable but I bet you lurk even if you don't post, then someone will want to POAS/not POAS quick enough and you will have to chip in Wink

Choccybik - Good luck with the TTLW. I too will be joining you as it appears I don't fit into 2 pairs of jeans that I did before Christmas Shock

Mouse - I am glad that you are home and as ok as you can be. I spoke about you to my dh last night and we were both in tears. I know that awful feeling of wanting the baby gone as it is a real mindf*ck when they have died but also that longing to cling on to them and not want to let them go. It's so so Sad I found the nurses at the hospital brilliant too.

Emoo - bet you were well impressed at the nail varnish episode - does the colour suit your room? Grin

Orange - a break away sounds like a fab idea. You deserve some time to relax.

Collie - Your BFN is a really positive sign as it means that your body is returning to a position that allows you to try again. I understand why you were Sad about it though.

Ok, so I was a bit naughty last night. Am in the TWW period but decided to have some sparkling wine with dh last night as he has had a really bad week at work. I ended up polishing off the bottle as managed to convince myself I am not pg again and have just had such a shitty time on the Clomid and it was the first tie I actually felt like I wanted a drink Blush So, I am feeling rather guilty today on the whole but what if scenario. Oh and I had a couple of cigs Hmm I am so crap with willpower when I have a drink. I feel sick as a pig today but only have myself to blame. (I guess it's an improvement on the usual 2 bottles of wine and 20 cigs that I would have happily had in the past though)

Well, guess I had better get back to painting my kitchen mural. Not sure I have the concentration Confused

owlbooty · 28/01/2011 09:51

Morning ladies :)

Pink my pie charts are ones based on percentage. For example, percentage chance of success after 1 mc or even 2 mc - still looks bloody good if you draw it as a pie chart. Percentage chance of bean sticking if bfp is achieved - high. Percentage chance once HB seen - and so on. As we know to our cost when we fell foul of the 1/4 statistic the first time round this doesn't always pan out but I found it helpful to draw the pie chart for whatever stage I was at, and look at the relatively tiny wedge that was the risk.

Chloe twill be fine my lovely. Beans apparently don't take anything from you until about week 6 so theoretically a nice 'relaxing' Wink evening was probably good for the soul, if not for the innards the morning after Grin

Bee see you when you're feeling less jittery, I also know exactly what you mean about needing time out. x

Hugs to everyone else - it's nearly the weekend :)

BrownB · 28/01/2011 10:38

Hello all - it's such a fast moving thread I can't keep up! Wombat - that's great news on the scan, and Cep - just think what your mother (and her generation) did with the cigs etc when she (they) was pregnant with you (etc)!

So - my mc finished it's thing last Thursday, and last Friday had a scan. The doc said that my ovaries looked "sleepy" and my uterus was quite thin. And on Wednesday this week I got EWCM and am now showing positive on the OPK internet cheapies. (-'ve on Wed, +'ve Thurs and faintly +'ve today). Is this possible? Have attached my FF chart here, in case anyone is interested enough to take a quick look and give me their opinion... It's a definite WTF cycle, and I don't know what to think.

BrownB · 28/01/2011 10:40

I don't know what the hell happened there! FF has posted about a million charts. The one I wanted to post is the second one. Oh dear. I always embarrass myself with technology fails on this thread! x

Chloe55 · 28/01/2011 10:51

I am afraid I am useless when it comes to charts and ff Confused

Forgot to add - have decided to do the Special K diet for a couple fo weeks (only I am using fruit and fibre as it fills me longer) - 2 reasons for this, firstly to try and shed some weight before my birthday in a few weeks and secondly for the folic acid that is in cereal. I am absolutely crap at remembering to take vitamins so if I eat 2 bowls a day will this be enough folic acid intake do you know?

youremindmeofthebabe · 28/01/2011 11:01

brownb have you had a negative HPT? Pregnancy hormone can cause a positive Ov test, but not the other way round. If that makes sense. Just an idea. If that's negative, then I guess you can go for it?

chloe sounds ok for Folic acid to me, I guess you just have to make sure that the other meal has a lot of colour and variation for all your other vits!

owl am liking the pie-chart idea!

Welcome pooch and LILI

bee I can understand that feeling. See you soon?

orange that sounds just lovely. I am off to London next weekend to visit friends, and it won't even be in my 2ww, so I can get sloshed! Yey!

cep · 28/01/2011 11:16

Hi all, well didn't last at work long.

i need some help with a decision, i want to get something for my friend who had the baby. i got something for the bub and her dd. but want to get something for my friend. As i'm posting it, it can't be too heavy.
sorry if this is in bad taste, but dh wouldn't have a clue and as i'm at home i didn't know who else to ask.

cep · 28/01/2011 12:43

have i killed the thread??? Confused [bgrin]

Emoo · 28/01/2011 12:52

Happy Friday everyone!

I'm doing my nut today!! Confused Got a proper high temp today (14 dpo) at the normal waking time. AF not turned up yet after 3 days of cramping, very unusual for me, normally comes the day after cramping starts. Still had a BFN this morning... starting to wonder if I'm feeling nauseous or whether it's just nerves/excitement. Don't understand my body. We've had a few over-long LPs recently with negative tests (thinking of velvet and yrmotb ) and I don't know whether to get my hopes up or not.

collie - glad DH is on the way back, and I hope he gets to you safely and in time to ttc Grin

choccy - sorry about AF, but well done with the TTLW. I have no idea what zumba is!

orange - ooooh Envy - enjoy your spa, and I hope it cheers you up and starts you feeling more positive again.

cep - Sad poor you with AF and your sore back. Glad you got home from work. Now put your feet up and have a cuppa . Not sure about your friend - chocolates? photo frame? home delivery of nice unpasteurised cheese selection (that's what I'd want)?

chloe - I wouldn't worry about the booze - I don't think any can get through to any embie until it's well implanted. Kitchen mural sounds very intriguing - what are you painting?

Owl - like the pie chart idea. But I'd probably eat them. Grin

BrownB - looking at your chart, I'd say you're about to ov. Looks like it took a long time to get the pg hormones out of your system, what with the ongoing bleeding and the slowly falling temps. (You have had a negative pregnancy test after MC, haven't you?) Fingers crossed for a temp rise in the next few days.

YRMOTB - hoorahhh for being able to get sloshed. I have a nice bottle of red waiting for me for if/when AF turns up.

Hello to everyone else!

Chloe55 · 28/01/2011 12:54

Cep - when I had ds a friend bought me some lavender things, essential oil, pillow spray and candles - was my best present I received after giving birth and she was the only one who actually bought me something which I thought was lovely.

Chloe55 · 28/01/2011 13:00

Emoo - I am painting and open shuttered window with a beach and ocean scene in the background to try and open up the room a bit. I have really gotten into painting murals since I did an under the sea full bedroom mural for ds a couple of years ago - I will be painting over this to do Spongebob next week which I am actually a bit Sad about Grin I can post some pics on here of some stuff I have done if anyone is interested in having a nosey? Nobody gets to see it coz other than a few bits and pieces I have done for friends and family it is hidden in bedrooms!

Chloe55 · 28/01/2011 13:41

Have uploaded some photos if you click on my name - realised I hadn't updated it for 4 years Shock

Emoo - is it worth seeing if you can get a blood test done, if this is a very unusual cycle for you?

cep · 28/01/2011 13:43

chloe and emoo thanks for the ideas. That's wha i was thinking chloe would be nice for her to have something rather than just the baby.

cep · 28/01/2011 14:50

I swear i am going insane. i am forgetting everything that happened on all my other periods, seriously. i currently seem to be having brown sludge (sorry tmi), and i keep thinking ooh it's not normally like this and then i think or is it???? i'm sure last af was 2 -3 days spotting then fresh red blood.

the amount of times i've been on here today i could keep it going by myself. [bgrin]

cep · 28/01/2011 14:55

Wow chloe you did those????? they are fantastic well done you. i have the artistic talent of a stick insect. (i'm assuming which is none.)

Chloe55 · 28/01/2011 15:33

Ha ha, it appears most people other than you and me have a life away from MN Cep! Grin Thank you for your compliments, I have met one or two stick insects who have amazing artistic qualities in my time Wink

cep · 28/01/2011 15:47

chloe i know, am starting to wonder where everyone is, i've never known it this quiet. Feel like i'm stood at a tunnel saying "hellloooo" and getting "hellloooo" "hellloooo" back. (ok so i can't do echoes very well. Grin

youremindmeofthebabe · 28/01/2011 16:14

(I'm at work-Grin)

cep · 28/01/2011 16:15

another human being.

jigglebum · 28/01/2011 16:22

Im here too - sat on the floor pretending to play cars with DS. Only seems to be important to sit on the floor rather than really playing so using the chance to catch up on MN( and make car parks occasionally with the other hand!)

Not much to report here though. Still not had first Af since mc so not sure what is happening here. After a very hormonal week I am feeling more positive today and managed not to shout at DS at all so far today! He has borne the brunt of it all as I am with him so much.

Feeling rather jealous of nice holiday plans (Thailand sounds lovely - some sun would be fab) and a spa sounds great too. We vaguely thought of going skiing now I am not pregnant but with all the DIY on the house we can't really afford it.

Anyone got any nice weekend plans?
