hi cep just seen your chart, I retract my statement about having ov'd! Your explanation seems more reasonable, I guess you will just have to watch and wait.

OrangeGloss · 27/01/2011 13:35

Just nipping in to do a whoop for Wombat Bean!!! My hospital don't measure heart rate before 12 weeks, only tell you if it looks 'normal' or not Hmm

Will you now wait until 12 week scan?

cep · 27/01/2011 13:35

Hooooorrrrraaaayyyyy Wombat - excellent news!

Thanks for the info on temps, I had in my head that 37 was normal for some reason. Only tracked it for 3 days. Don't ov every cycle and I'm currently on day 37 (UCL 29) so guess that could all tie up. Have signed up to FF and been reading and inputting data. If I've done it right it should be here.

MummyA I think we're all guilty of that, so don't beat yourself up. x

Thanks, Chloe, I can't understand why we aren't being monitored yet others have 3 scans a month plus bloods. Postcodes I guess Confused

LILI80 · 27/01/2011 14:02

Hi Ladies

You all seem very friendly on here and I was wondering if I could join you?

I found out I'd lost my baby on 23 Dec. I had an Erpoc on 30 Dec and now feel ready to start TTC.

There's something comforting about talking to others who are TTC after miscarriage.

I'm actually hoping I'll be one of the lucky ones and get pg straight away, although it took 3 months to conceive DD and my last pg.

As I've only recently had Erpoc I don't know what cycle I'm on and so don't know when to do a test. My UCL before miscarriage was 34 days!

hi lili Welcome to the thread, sorry you have to be here. What a horrible thing just before xmas. If you haven't yet had your af (period) your on what we call the what the fuck cycle as it's all unknown. If you have had your af and are now on cycle 1 you're like me and learning as i go along. You'll find the ladies on here very helpful and full of knowledge.

Collie2 · 27/01/2011 14:27

Fantastic news WombatBean you must be thrilled and relieved!!

MummyA thanks for the explanation of WTF, that makes perfect sense and completley summs up how i'm feeling right now!
I also cannot slap you, as i would also have to slap myself. I've been peeing on an ov stick every day for a week!! Blush And nothing!!!! Sad

Did anyone else have a long cycle b4 mc? mine was 40/41 days. Technically i still have a week until AF is due, but all the signs are all over the place. What was other peoples experiences??

Hi Lili, welcome. Sorry for your loss. I only joined last night but everyone's really lovely and welcoming. I mc in Dec also. Found out on Dec 20 and mc Dec 28 [SAD]. Glad you are feeling ready to ttc again. fingers crossed for you. xx

cep · 27/01/2011 14:34

collie my ucl was anything between 24 -28, and i have never had a positive ov stick, maybe i have a short surge or something. My last af was very similar to what i had before ds so thought it had gone back to how it was 2-3 yrs ago. but seem to be getting ready for af now so is a really short one again.

MummyAbroad · 27/01/2011 14:37

Hi lili8 very sorry for your loss. Hope you are not here too long, meant in the best possible way! Have you done a HPT to make sure the pregnancy hormones have left your body (ie. got a negative?)

collie I used a record amount of HPT's in my WTF cycle! Getting to 9DPO is a bit of an achievement! (have you discovered the cheap ones on Amazon?) My cycle pre mc was normal.

Collie2 · 27/01/2011 14:49

mummya you made be lol. Glad i'm not on my own in my ocd use of them!! Smile Thanks for the link, i've got mine off ebay - similar price, but a still could be a small fortune the way i go through them!!

cep i'm sorry yours are all over the place too. Its so frustating. I know the HTPs work for me as we used them when ttc the first time. Having said that we were lucky after 1 month, hence i know absolutely nothing about ttc!!

I'm on a mission now though!! Grin

cep · 27/01/2011 15:15

i was lucky after 2 months with ds. took about 6 - 8 months with last pg. When i bought my sticks aug and oct i paid 2.99 for 25 with a choice of either pg or ov tests. just had a look and couldn't see the shop i used to buy it off and now so long ago ebay won't show me my bought list from then. Have to admit though as i haven't had a positive yet i'm giving up with them when i've finished my last lot.

It does become a bit obsessive, i do ff and end up going on several times a day to look, no idea why it's not going to change while i'm off it.

nickstermum · 27/01/2011 15:31

YEY Wombo Bean....whoop!!! Right mrs.... pep talk time!!!!

Feet up, try and relax.... and seconding owlmummytobe stress free day Grin

Yes owl you are a mummy to be...

Emoo · 27/01/2011 15:32

Collie - don't worry - ask whatever questions you like! I had a very long cycle pre-DD, and once I started temping I realised that stress always significantly delayed my ovulation. Since then I have chilled out, obviously! The temping sometimes helps with working out what you are doing with your cycle, but as cep will tell you, it takes a while to get into the swing of things and work out what your body normally does. From your chart, cep, I think your temps might be too erratic this month to be interpreted sensibly - if you're confident you saw EWCM, I'd use CD14 as a guesstimate of ovulation. I did stop temping for years after DD, and the disappearance of EW was always a good predictor of when to expect my period.

Lily, cep - I'd recommend nosying round the FF chart gallery, to get an idea of the sorts of patterns different people get in different circumstances, and how varied people's "normal" temp is.

Knitter - that sounds like a really positive outcome of your complaint. I got the impression (from when Emoochick was in the neonatal unit) that the doctors/nurses appreciate complaints/feedback about the system not working, because it gives them ammunition to use to improve funding/services that they have wanted for ages anyway.

YRMOTB - thanks for the kind comment on my chart, and good luck with the SMEP! I remember being very proud of DD when the stabilisers came off... didn't last long though... ended up mopping up scraped knee shortly after! Our age gap will now be at least 8 years, so I know how you're feeling a bit.

HK - glad you're hanging in there - when is your next significant date? Scan?

MummyA - tiny wee haddock for you - 9dpo is only a squidgim too early... hope you get your BFP in a few days!

Wombat - huge congrats on Wombat Bean!!! [bgrin] [bgrin] [bgrin]

Lili - ooh it's going to get confusing with a whole bunch of lilies around here... So sorry for your loss, but glad you feel ready to start again. I'd also recommend doing a pregnancy test now to make sure it has turned negative so you save yourself stress and confusion later on if you do get pg again quickly.

BackOnceAgain · 27/01/2011 15:34

Hey guys, just popping on to mark the thread. Feeling a bit low but won't go into it.
So happy for you wombat
And so pleased for you mummya that you are scar tissue free...
mouse so very sorry for your loss
fx for you dachs

to everyone a big wave Smile

cep · 27/01/2011 16:18

emoo thanks, i'm having a look now.

boa sorry you're feeling so low today.

hadrian · 27/01/2011 17:28

OK ladies get your kippers ready. I am doing some grade A mentalling.

Here is my story so far:
MC started on Christmas Eve.
I got a negative pg test on 12th Jan.
Randomly on the 13th Jan I decided to pee on a Clear Blue ov stick and got a smiley face.
Also on the 13th Jan I had my final MC follow-up appointment at the hospital. The doctor told me I was all clear but not ovulating, although she could see some 'healthy activity' in my ovaries.
13th-21st Jan some cautious SWI
Nothing since then...except the odd moment of nausea and a funny metallic taste in my mouth from time to time. Which could well be the product of an over-obsessive mind.

So shall I POAS?

A BFP would be amazing but feels so unlikely...and if I'm honest I'm pretty anxious about the thought of being pg and potentially going through all the horror of MC again. A BFN would make me sad but then I'm going to Thailand next weekend and it would be good to go knowing I can relax and have a good time and make a fresh start when I get back.

What should I do? Should I wait for a few more days? I feel as though TTC is dominating my life already and I've only just recovered from the MC...why is this all so hard?!

hadrian · 27/01/2011 17:30

ps hello to lili, congrats to wombat and your lovely big bean and a big hug to boa. Sorry, am a bit self-obssessed today Blush

cep · 27/01/2011 17:34

hadrian what test was the 12th jan with?? Maybe test just to settle your mind.

Speaking of Thailand reminds me wine is v expensive over there, sometimes is more expensive than the whole meal. If you want to drink local drinks are a lot cheaper. I once asked for a glass of whiskey and coke they brought me a bottle it was a thai rice whiskey and was cheaper buying the bottle than having a brand whiskey and coke.

DachshundsWantPuppies · 27/01/2011 17:37

hadrian from the sound of it you'reentalling anyway so you might feel a bit better if you POAS rather than just speculating and worrying

Collie2 · 27/01/2011 17:44

Thailand.... Samsung Whiskey and coke served in a bucket!! That reminds me of being 21! Smile

I think test! but then i do have a slight obession with peeing on sticks. If its a no you can try out one of those buckets!!! Grin

PS i know you'll already know, but its not that unlikley you are pg. A friend of mine gave birth last week after getting pg without AF after her mc.

xxx

Chloe55 · 27/01/2011 18:04

I would test Hadrian, and if it's -ve then test again on Monday. We are at our most fertile straight after pregnacy apparantly so you very easily could be.
