A safe place for everyone on the TTC after MC rollercoaster. Welcome and come in - virtual wine and chocolate for all, and lots of support and hand-holding until you get your BFP!

The thread moves fast but don't let that put you off - feel free to come along and stay to chat; or dip in and out with any questions.

If you want to join the stats, just add yourself to the list:

WTTC = waiting to TTC
UCL = usual cycle length

Good luck to all - here's hoping for lots of healthy, sticky BFPs by the end of the thread

For reference here's a link back to the previous thread

chloe You've got to remember that you've gone through a lot in the last several months. Especially with your first course of clomid.(never done but from other comments read on here sends emotions all over the place.) You're bound to be emotional.

Hi all, still BFN at 13DPO, but about 10 mins after testing I cheated and looked again and there is a SHADOW. Not a line, a shadow, and can I just leave it alone and stop looking at it and thinking about it? Can I buggery! bloody stupid shadow!! begone! (or be replaced with a big fat line!Grin )

anyway, temps dropped though, so its 50-50, place you bets!!

MummyAbroad · 31/01/2011 15:44

Chloe so sorry you are feeling low. Those days before the due date really are the worst and to be on drugs at the same time must be awful. I hope the break from the drugs gives you a chance to get your emotional strength back a bit. In the meantime, a big because it sounds like you need one. xxx

ochaye · 31/01/2011 15:48

Hey there everyone! I'm really bad at keeping up with this thread so please could somebody take me off the list? I hate cluttering it up for you! I'd post it myself but am scared to mess it up.

I'm back to CD1 today after a horrible, boring WTF cycle.

Warm hugs to everyone who's having a hard time. Fingers crossed for all the bfp's too for happy, healthy pregnances.

Wombat33 · 31/01/2011 15:52

Mummya Smile for the shadow! I'm keeping everything crossed for a darker shadow tomorrow! Wink

Sorry I'm not keeping up at the moment. Trying to keep my head in the sand this week a bit and totally manic at work! Hugs to you all xxx

MummyAbroad · 31/01/2011 16:12

No no no no! Its not a BFP. Dont anyone get exited please! Not yet anywayWink

MummyAbroad · 31/01/2011 16:13

ocheye you are not cluttering up the list! Are you sure you want off? Theres no rule that you have to post all the time to stay on.

MummyAbroad · 31/01/2011 16:15

did a silly link to my temps (which prove shadow is not to be trusted) here is the real one

IzzyWizzyletsgetbusy · 31/01/2011 16:28

mummya hmm I see what you mean about temps, but...oooh, a shadow!! Will keeP my fx for you just in case - I would love to see it turn into something more Smile x

Anyway am updating list as needed to change my dc. Have also put ochaye back to cd1 if you really want to come off then we can do that, but you don't have to and don't have to post all the time either.

youremindmeofthebabe · 31/01/2011 17:14

Ooh, temp drop and shadow, that's quite interesting, mummya. Was it a cheapy internet or a ov test, or a first response? (bad for shadows-the lying little shits) Guess we'll just have to wait and see!

Ds is watching willo-the-wisp. My head is killing from the side effects of paint fumes, and the gloss that we did yesterday is still drying. Over 27 hours agoHmm

I keep having mini-upsets about ttc, mainly when DP is passed out on an evening from too hard a days work. Like will I ever get pg again, what if my eggs are knackered, rah rah rah and so on and so forth. I'm not even that bloody old.

chloe am sorry that the result wasn't what you wanted. It doesn't really get any easier does it. Sorry about the mood swings with the Clomid and everything, at least having Feb off is something to look forward too. It's my bday in Feb as well.

*velvet how are you?

Waves to all. Hope you're all well.

IzzyWizzyletsgetbusy · 31/01/2011 17:20

. I'm with you on the up-and-down upsets this month...it's turning into a bit of a cycle 5 for me. I keep looking at ds and dd and thinking, well of course I can have another baby and I shouldn't fret, and then I think, but we've been not being careful/trying for dc3 for over three years now with nothing to show for it except a memory box full of scan photos and an order of service for the funeral. What if this is it? How do we know?

I guess all we can do is try and stay positive, keep believing it will happen, one day. Big (((hugs))) coming your way xx

Velvetcu · 31/01/2011 17:21

Hi yrmotb I'm the same as you I would imagine! Trying to accept that it's now cycle 6 and that it could be another 6, 12, 1000 or whatever :(

Thanks for advice re bil girls. Problem is we dont want anyone to know we are ttc, bil is not too good with hints so would bring up noisy sex rather than move out and ov time always seems to be midweek so we cant go anywhere.

Am ill atm so my temps are up which means FF wont be able to give me an ov date either. Not that is matters anyway - I'm sure I had some positivity the other day!!

BOA how are you today?

IzzyWizzyletsgetbusy · 31/01/2011 17:26

((( velvet ))) if we get to cycle 1000 I'm definitely jacking it in Grin

youremindmeofthebabe · 31/01/2011 17:34

Me tooGrin
Am vaguely optimistic about SMEP though. Note vaguely.

Got plently I should be doing to take my mind off it, however, as uni started again yesterday. Joy of Joys.

cep · 31/01/2011 17:38

velvet sorry you're feeing low again. midweek?? not a problem.. book a hotel room for the night. (doesn't have to be an expensive one) Arrange to meet at a restaurant, pretend you've just met/blind date and ooh aren't you the saucy minx who takes him home (hotel obviously) on first date. Has to play by rules of an actual date in other words getting dressed up nice, talking about interests etc, not home life. (don't know if you're like us we don't dress up smart/nice anymore.)

yrmotb and izzy sorry you're getting worried and upset. i'm not sure what i can say that isn't going to sound patronising as i've only been here for a few weeks. to you both.

cep · 31/01/2011 17:39

hmmm 83 yrs i haven't that much patience.

MummyAbroad · 31/01/2011 17:40

forget about the shadow girls, just re-tested on two different brands and nada. Yes, I have three diff types of internet cheapie HPT's in my stash. Not even embarrassed to admit it. Grin

So, at least now I can stop wondering about it and get on with my day.

velvet YRMOTB Izzy we are the oldies on the thread now, that means we are actually MORE likely to be next, everyone gets there in the end! Keep the faith!

cep · 31/01/2011 17:41

mummya when are you due again? Sorry they showed nothing.

Velvetcu · 31/01/2011 17:43

yrmotb we were meant to be SMEP but bil went out Fri and Sat night so we had a shagfest so now all the days are wrong. Dont know whether to do tonight or leave it til tomorrow.

Izz I dont wanna be the only one here that long lol

cep you are quite right, after 10rs of marriage we never dress up to go for dinner either. Problem is, I'm a teacher so have too much work to do midweek too.

Always problems. I just want a baby, why is it so difficult?

Velvetcu · 31/01/2011 17:45

x posts mummya sorry they were -ve, I hope we do get there soon!

youremindmeofthebabe · 31/01/2011 17:49

You got married young, hey velvet? Good for you. Smileguess SMEP is every other day, roughly. I'm not starting till day 10 or 12, seeing as I won't ov til earliest day 20 and possibly day 30!

Aw, mummya Never mind. easier to stop thinking about it, I guess. How long's your LP normally? Have you been on the evening primrose? If so how much do you take?

IzzyWizzyletsgetbusy · 31/01/2011 17:52

velvet surely a shagfest is good whether or not it fits the plan?

yrmotb SMEP started here Saturday. Now just have to remember to pace ourselves to ov and not go mad/run out of steam as usual.

I second the date idea velvet - if you can do it, great idea. I do think you could seriously do with some privacy though - could dh not just tell bil that it's a tricky time and you need some space, so could he please leave (or at least stay with friends sometimes so you get some time alone)?

let's hope you're right! Got to be our turn soon....

IzzyWizzyletsgetbusy · 31/01/2011 17:55

X-posts velvet we've also been married for ages (11 years!) and romance is something of a rarity! It does make a huge difference when we try the "date" thing though. Often we don't have a babysitter so have to cook a posh meal here, but still try to dress up, get the candles out etc Blush. Sad but true!

MummyAbroad · 31/01/2011 18:05

cep My rule is test everyday until BFP or AF! So I am not that gutted about the -ve as there is still tomorrow! I am not sure when I am officially supposed to test, partly because I had a fever at ov time, so my guestimate isnt accurate and also because I started charting when I had AS and didnt bleed so I cant accurately know how long my luteal phase is - this is my first real non medicated post AS cycle. I think LP is on the longish side though, if its 14 days then I am close (13PDOish today)

My plan for avoiding disapointment (if AF comes) is:

  • remember that follicles got zapped with x rays this month (HSG), so I wont have to worry all through pregnancy that they were "damaged"
  • lining could grow even thicker and therefore reduced risk of placental attachment problems
  • I still havent tried ALL possible TTC aids, I will find some grapefruit juice even if I had to squeeze the things myself, there is also acupuncture, quitting drinking and caffine, preseed and probably a few more things left to try
  • if i get pregnant this cycle my due date will be almost exactly the same as dd for mc baby. That would be wierd.

-we didnt have nearly as much SWI as we could have this month, there is room for improvement!

  • I have organised a babysitter for Friday night, so we can either celebrate or commiserate in style Grin

and if none of that works, I can always just come on here and moan my way through the month Grin

velvet Re: ill around ov. I convinced myself that sods law would help me out. The one time you cant pinpoint ov will be when you get pregnant and really need to know so you can predict due dateGrin
