A safe place for everyone on the TTC after MC rollercoaster. Welcome and come in - virtual wine and chocolate for all, and lots of support and hand-holding until you get your BFP!

The thread moves fast but don't let that put you off - feel free to come along and stay to chat; or dip in and out with any questions.

If you want to join the stats, just add yourself to the list:

WTTC = waiting to TTC
UCL = usual cycle length

Good luck to all - here's hoping for lots of healthy, sticky BFPs by the end of the thread

For reference here's a link back to the previous thread

Dachs, gosh you must have been devastated to mc after 7 years of agonising trying. So please for you that you?ve got another BFP now though, wishing you lots and lots of luck.

Emoo BIG congratulations on your BFP. After just one cycle too. I am hoping for more BFPs are to follow from others and that this thread is as lucky for us all!!

lili I?m not sure about your symptoms either. I had extremely sore and sensitive boobs in the early weeks of my pg b4 mc, just a slight brush would feel like I?d rubbed sandpaper across them, and I would often hold them up when I bent over (and I?m not particularly well endowed). If you have ttc during your wft cycle I wouldn?t rule being pg out, but it also sounds like it could be one of many things.

mummya I am sorry to hear your having trouble with you dh. A time like this is extremely stressful and I don?t think counseling is ott at all. Whatever it takes to make it right. ((Big hug for you both))

YMMOTB, shipley! That?s close. Smile

backonceagain Is your normal ov date usually day 16? Mines as late as 23. Is it your first cycle after wtf? I think it can take a while to get back to normal. I understand the ache in your heart too. Going to see my friends new baby next week. I'm really pleased for her obviously and want to meet the little princess, but I know I?ll leave with a heavy heart.

Night everyone

Collie2 · 30/01/2011 22:13

backonceagain sorry just realised you have already said its your due dat tomorrow. can't believe i didn't read that properly. I am really sorry, i know it will be a sad day for you. Are you doing anything to remember or nice to get you through the day? I'll be thinking of you tomorrow.

Clearly my thoughts about your cycle are completely useless. xxxx

Emoo · 30/01/2011 22:29

Thanks for all your kind words, lovely ladies! .

BOA - sorry you're having a rough time at the moment. I have never had any luck with opks either (has been years since I tried though). Just look for the egg-nog and time it according to that.

Mouse - good call I think, not going to work tomorrow. Hope you get chance to get some tlc from somewhere.

Hadrian and MummyA - hope your poasing is successful in the next few days! MummyA - sorry things not going well with DH, and I hope the counselling helps to get you to a better place. Really - no symptoms, but was starting to wonder as temps were high and stable, and my LP is usually 12, sometimes 13.

MamaP Dachs - thanks for the invite to the other fred - will pop in at some point, but for now need to catch up with you lot, fold loads of washing and get to bed!

chloe good luck if/when you poas!

LOL Grin at Loola chart-stalker! I'll be watching yours this month again too!

loola2shus · 30/01/2011 22:32

BOA 'Of course I am thrilled, but a bit of me ACHES. I think it's my heart...' I know exactly what you mean,so perfectly put! hugs xx

velvet hello lovely, how are you doing?

mouse I have beem meaning to give you a hug too xx

knitter & chloe I get that too!

Well mummya with EMOOS news it seems that everything is on track with your everyone diffed by March predictions.... really hope you're right!!!

Forgot to temp this morning... and 2 days this cycle were disregarded due to fever, I hope it doesn't confuse FF! Really really want to be pg before due date, but know that it is very VERY unlikely Sad I have got 1born every min recorded (which I normally love) but just can't face watching this week for some reason Confused

MummyAbroad · 30/01/2011 23:33

oh I am so sorry you had your due date and your heart is aching. I found my grief was at its worst a few days before the DD, but subsided massively afterwards, almost as if I had officially reached the end of my grieving time. I really really hope it happens the same way for you and the cloud lifts and your heart stops aching so much.

about the OPK's I am afraid it wasnt me that said sometimes you dont ovulate so I cant really elaborate. I didnt get a positive this month either, despite doing 2 a day around ov time. I agree with Emoo eggnog is the way forward when the OPK's arent playing ball (she must know she is diffed!). Have you been ill/traveling/excersising lots/stressed? any of those would explain delayed ov.

Thanks everyone for all your support about DH, we've been talking loads and he is enthusiastic about seeing the counsellor again which is making me hopeful. If he didnt want to even try I think I would be really scared.

loola I downloaded a couple of episodes of 1born after seeing everyone talking about it so much on MN - now I am wondering WHY? Its making me feel like a masochist but of course I cant turn it off Confused

would love to catch up with more of you, but the thread is just too fast, so big MWAH instead to everyone xxxxx

Morning everyone, it's too early :(

Cep sorry you're having a tough time, I hope things have settled down a bit
Chloe my dh is a good judge of my boobs, hopefully yours is too and is a good symptom
Velvet your bil should at least go out for the evening to give you time. Or, should be paying a nominal amount of rent which will pay for a regular night away at a local hotel
Mummya I'm hoping the BFN changes to a BFP soon. I'm so sorry you're having such a difficult time, but sounds like you're doing the right thing (((hugs)))
Izzy my dh was sceptical about anything private, like a scan, but when I told him the cost he thought it was reasonable, think he had extreme view of what price would be. Shame you have to consider private at all rather than nhs
Zam I do similar problem dumping in a locked chest, sometimes works. My counsellor suggested half an hour a day to really think about it then stop, that works well too
Collie I was lucky enough to get a BFP on cycle 1 after WTF. I had erpc on 15th Oct and got BFP 24th Dec. I didn't/haven't had flutters but my boobs were instantly bigger that one of my work shirts was straining at the button!
Emoo that's wonderful news!!! Grin Grin lucky thread strikes again Grin
((( BOA ))) it's only natural to have mixed emotions, I've selfishly avoided anyone with a newborn up to the age of about 2 over the last few months. Extra (((()))) for due date today, I hope it goes as best it can

I'm just waiting for my scan date now, MW has put me forward without booking me in yet as I left it so late. Still taking a day at a time and bring positive but cautious :)

PinkIsACheeseAddict · 31/01/2011 07:28

Hello all - wow I go away for a couple of days and I forget how fast things move on here!

mummya I think counselling is a brilliant idea, and I'm impressed DH is up for it too. I think it's very common - at the clinic I've been going to they've got about 10000000 leaflets about it. With any luck, the two of you will come out of this even stronger than before all the MC crap happened.

BOA huge hugs honey, I second what mummya said - I felt like I was going insane with sadness before the due date but just a couple of days afterwards felt in a much better place, like all the deadlines I'd imposed on myself were over and I could just let things happen when they're read.

no ov by CD16 person (really sorry I can't remember who it was!) - I freaked out the first month I was temping because this happened to me - turns out I ov'ed on day 23 that month for some reason. I was v. glad I was temping though as saved me a fortune in pee sticks between CD28 and CD37!!!

big boobs lady I think lili or chloe? I had this the month I got the BFP - the acupuncturist told me it was because my liver Qi was trapped as it started the day after I ovulated, maybe it's just coincidence in my case as it started so soon but it sounds like a pee stick might be in order for you!!

emoo fabulous news nice lady! Grin

velvet - lots of noisy sex - two birds with one stone Grin

zam the locked box idea is brilliant. My mum bought me some little Guatemalan worry people - you tell them what you're worried about before you go to bed and then put them under your pillow and they deal with your worries while you're asleep, cool eh??

cep hope things are more chilled for you at the mo. Shock at using up your words quota! I think I do too but DH just tunes out - I can see his expression turn blank Smile Men are from Mars is a good book though - DH definitely needs his cave time every week where he just sits and stares at the fire (or some rubbish black and white war film on telly)

Someone asked about how long it too to get BFP after MC - I had my MC in June and I got a BFP in January - those stats are slightly skewed though as I was bleeding for 5 weeks with the MC so that took up a month, and I didn't really TTC properly the month after that, so 5 months of proper trying I guess.

First day back at work today after holiday Sad DOOOOOMMMMM!!!

Hope you all have a lovely day, waves to everyone, especially anyone I've indadvertedly missed out xx

IzzyWizzyletsgetbusy · 31/01/2011 07:34

((( BOA ))) big hugs for you, the due date is horrible, hope you got through it ok. It's marginally better out the other side x

pink and mamap best of luck with your appointments today x

owlbooty · 31/01/2011 09:49

xx

cep · 31/01/2011 09:55

morning everyone

boa I'm sorry about your dd on sat. i hope you're ok.

pink and orange hope you both had a fab time away and came back totally relaxed.
it is a bit more relaxed today - dh has gone to work. Grin

mememe moment.....again.... again.
Ok i think someone needs to throw something at me. Never mind hit me with a haddock, throw the whole fish counter at me.

My af seems to have now pretty much stopped. i don't know if this is my "day off" which i only starting getting again on my last af, but on that one the whole af was like it used to be. Anyway i am convincing my self that it's decidual bleeding. keeping taking tests - bfn ofcourse. The reason i'm managing to convince myself is because my last pg a had a "weird" period and it took a few days after that i got a bfp, and i keep believing it'll happen like that again.
Temp was still high on 29th when af started properly, but last two days have had disturbed sleep so inaccurate temp. (plus battery dying) yesterday was still high at 97.18 but todays was 96.93 after really disturbed morning.

Waves to everyone Mummya Collie Mouse Velvet knitter Loola Nix Owl Emoo Izzy Yrmotb Mamap Lili Lily Wellie Zam and anyone i've forgotten.

Collie2 · 31/01/2011 10:15

cep if i had a haddock to hand i'd be using it right now!! Smile Although its possible, it does sound unlikely that you are pg (sorry) Sad. I think try (i know easier saaid than done) to put it out of your mind for a couple of days. Why not allow yourself to test on Thursday (or weds if you can't wait that long Smile one last time)? I feel so righteous giving this advice.....i'm still peeing on my OPK sticks every day and i'm day 35 post mc!!! I think i need to take my own advice! Grin

cep · 31/01/2011 10:34

collie I know, i don't get iti'm pretty sure i'm not it's just that tiny little seed of doubt. I think i was just so hopeful to get pg straight away, that i just don't want to let it go yet. With the fact that af is strange this time is just fuelling the fire.

I just bought a cb ov test pack. i'll use those in the afternoon when poss oving, i just want to get a positive just once would be nice and the cheap ones aren't doing that.

nickstermum · 31/01/2011 10:44

(BOA) hope you are ok lovely xxxxx

Twins huh....? Same here coming up, close friend having her CS on my due date x

Collie2 · 31/01/2011 10:46

I know cep i understand the gut wrenching desire to be pg again soon. i am the same and was so frustrated that dh was away as i wanted to ttc even during my wtf. I just desperately feel i want to have a baby in 2011 now, 2012 feels like so long off i can't bare to think about that - thats gives me Feb and March to get a BFP. No doubt you'll be getting that haddock out on me when i've had by ov day!!

good luck with the ov test kit. xx

BrownB · 31/01/2011 11:09

BOA - my thoughts with you. My dd for the first pregnancy was back in April last year, and the Icelandic volcano blew it's top trapping us in Europe. I managed to forget about it all day, which was nice. Hope you have something nice and far less dramatic taking your thoughts out of yourself today.

Cep - for what it's worth, on my first BFP I started spotting on the day I expected my period. (I have a short cycle) It was a light bleed and didn't soak through the tampon, which is unusual. It stopped after the first tampon, and I tested. My first period after that mc was a couple of weeks after I stopped bleeding and wasn't particularly heavy (unusual for me). By the time I got my second BFP I had done all sorts of reading and was charting my temps etc, and I didn't have any of that implantation malarkey. The temping thing can be v frustrating. How long have you been charting your temp?

HongKongBaby · 31/01/2011 11:43

Hi all - sorry have not been around for a while. You have been busy as always!

mummya sorry to hear the strain that you and DH experiencing. It is very mature of you both to be seeking counselling I must say, I really hope it helps. Good luck with the poas.

Cep I have done that too (tested after or during af), so you are not alone, I understand! BTW I never had any luck with cheap opks but what did work for me in the end was to use the cheapies to start with then once start to see any kind of line switch to the Clearblue digis. Once EWCM showed up cheapie in afternoon, digi in evening. Managed to catch it that way without spending absolute fortune on OPKs.

Yay for Emoo!!

Chloe fingers x'd for your boobs being a symptom.

Hugs to BOA, I hope as others have said the passing of this date will bring you some peace.

Velvet hope you are feeling more positive now cycle is moving forwards? BTW, you were asking a while ago about trying something 'different'. This cycle when got bfp is first one of using pre-seed properly, might be worth a go? I do not have any problems that I know of with CM but thought why not, did not tell DH, he didn't even notice!

No news from me - feeling distinctly un-pregnant. Have a week to wait for scan, hoping that there will be something there, I think until I see it for myself I will not quite believe it.

Chloe55 · 31/01/2011 12:31

BOA - hug coming from my direction too Smile

Cep - does sound weird re your period. Try and hold out testing now until the end of the week if you can, by then it should def show up if your are pg (although I would have thought it would be showing +ve by now if you were Confused)

HKB - Good luck with your scan next week, I am sure everything will be fine Smile

Ok, so I tested, it was -ve, obviously Sad It has thrown me more than I expected. I have been beside myself most of the morning. I think it might be because I just expected to be pg before my dd and I am pretty sure that won't be happening now. I was due 3rd week of Feb but refuse to check the actual day and am pleased that I can't remember it and I won't be making any attempt to remind myself either but I know it is imminent. I have been getting period type pains for a few days now but am not actually due on for another week or so but it def feels like it's coming. I am so Sad. It also feels like I have put myself through feeling like absolute shit this month for no reason and that I know at some point I will have to endure that again Angry

I will, however, be taking this next month off the Clomid. I have my 30th and a Butlins trip planned for Feb and I refuse to feel like crap for either of those. God, what a shit morning Sad

cep · 31/01/2011 12:42

collie i'm not too worried about when it's born i just want to be pregnant before sept. that's my deadline (dh imposed) if not by sept then not trying anymore.

brown my first after mc was normal. Infact was like what i used to have pre ds. this one was earlier than expected and although quite heavy not as heavy as normal. Would just be easier if we came with a manual or had a screen which came up with error messages like a comp.

hk feels so stupid to be testing just after bleeding. Good luck with your scan, when is it??

KnitterNotTwitter · 31/01/2011 12:43

BOA huge hug

Loola & chloe perhaps the three of us should start womb twitchers anonymous and see if we can work out any sort of pattern to it....?

ooh and I seem to be a day ahead in the stats - only on day 21 now according to my magic spreadsheet.... AF due next Monday...

OP posts:
cep · 31/01/2011 12:51

chloe i'm sorry you're feeling so bad today. if you're not due till next week, this would be too early to test. Are they just as strong as af pains? could it be implantation pains? It's good that you've got things to look forward to coming up this month. I managed to convince dh that 30 was really a milestone age for a woman and therefore i should have really good birthday pressies. Grin

Today would have been my af date on my normal shortest cycle and thursday on a 28 day cycle. when i tested +ve last time it was about 4-5 days after my bleed. i will try and hold out till wed/thursday nd if -ve then just accept that i've had a weird one this month.

Chloe55 · 31/01/2011 13:02

Found these stats so highly unlikely that I am even though I tested early as think I ovulated CD12 and didn't have SWI after CD14 anyway as was too ill from the drugs so don't think I could be much under 10 DPO.

EP - Expected period
First figure - Chances of being pg with -ve test
Second figure - Chances of NOT being pg with -ve test
Third Figure - Woman who test +ve if they are

12 DPO EP 12.3%87.8% 51%
13 DPO EP 9.5% 90.5% 62%
14 DPO EP 8.0% 92.0% 68%
15 DPO EP 6.5% 93.5% 74%
16 DPO EP 5.3% 94.8% 79%
17 DPO EP 3.8% 96.3% 85%
18 DPO EP 2.5% 97.5% 90%
23 DPO EP 1% 99.0% 96%

Twitchers anonymous sounds like a geeky club Twitter Grin Would be very interesting to know though. So I am having daily twitches about a week pre AF due. Let's see if I remember that next month.

Cep - the AF type pains aren't as strong as period but pretty sure it would be impossible to be implantation as, like I said, last time I SWI was 10 days ago.

cep · 31/01/2011 13:24

chloe according to babyzone

"implantation discomfort and/or bleeding will usually occur five to 12 days after ovulation. The pain you are experiencing should never be severe; if it is, or if you experience fever, chills, or heavy vaginal bleeding, call your doctor right away."
fx it isn't af for you.

Dont' want to get your hopes up just to say there could be other reasons.

knitter aren't twitchers birdwatchers???

KnitterNotTwitter · 31/01/2011 13:26

cep good point.... right need a better verb any suggestions?

OP posts:
Chloe55 · 31/01/2011 13:27

LOL Cep, I'll show you my stats if you show me yours Grin I much prefer yours though Wink Well, who knows. I am ridiculously emotional but nothing new there at the moment!
