TTC #2, starting this month.
Anybody else out there thinking new year, new baby?

Currently OV, first attempts this month.

I am new here! would like to join in! New Year, new baby!! Started TTC in December, no luck as yet. Next ovulation should be 8th Feb roughly so fingers crossed!! Tried OPK but i've never had a positive result with these, but from researching online I see its quite common... maybe my timing is all wrong? Sometimes there was a feint line, other times no line. Apparently they both mean negative, but I think - why is it sometimes feint and sometime not there? there must be a reason?

I have one daughter who is 6, but am with a new partner now. He thinks theres something wrong with him - but I cannot reassure enough, that 2 attempts is nothing! He needs to chill out!

So, status update is . . . still no AF (it's now been since heavy spotting in mid December - what's that? 7 weeks?) but BFN when tested on Tuesday. Soooooooo confused as to WTF is going on with my cycle. Any ideas anyone? Last injection was mid July just before wedding. AF has been regular as clockwork since it started aged 11. Only difference is intensity of flow depending on whether on or off pill/injection.

Don't particularly feel PG (not that I'd know what it feels like) but can't rule it out either until something resembling AF arrives. Am I going mental???

LDG. You may want to consider doing some ovulation testing and basal bodytemp measuring at home. It may give you an idea of whether you are ovulating at all or not. If not you could go see your doctor?

Waiting for my period here, it should be there next week. My belly feels a bit weird. It feels a bit like period pains, but not so bad and not constant. I think I'm not pregnant, but who knows....

It's only attempt #1, so I won't be too disappointed.

AF = Aunt Flow, euphemism for period
TTC = trying to conceive
HPT = home pregnancy test
BFN = big fat negative
Etc

So AF due Wed or Thurs. I did a test on Sat and got a BFN. Feeling weird but not premenstrual as such - I generally get bloody awful PMT, and while I had the rage a wee bit last week, I'm certain that was sleep-deprivation (and extreme provocation by my mother, who was staying for 4 days). But nothing now, which is not what I'd expect normally. Trying not to read too much into it (and completely failing, of course!).

And the really annoying thing is that I have nights out with work people on Thurs and Fri, and if I don't drink it WILL be noticed. Bet sods law will mean that AF will take her sweet time and leave me to run the gauntlet of the secretly alcohol-free nights out before sneaking up and sniggering on me on Saturday. Pah.

I'm now on the 2WW, well, nearly. DH away from yesterday so snuck in a couple of SWI this weekend on the off chance the ov calculator is a couple of days out!! Loosing the plot? YES!

Girls - I just poas.... and there's a line! It's v faint - cetaiy not big and fat, and my husband was squinting at me sceptically, but it's def there! He is excited but is currently lying next to me trying to sleep - how the heck am I supposed to sleep now?!

What cycle day do you think you conceived on?
I'm thinking I'm in my 'fertile' period now so trying to fit in lots of SWI {grin} though DD was up ALL last night with teething/temperature so it's actually the last thing I feel like. Made me also think 'how will I cope with 2'????!!!

Still waiting here. I feel a lot of things, but it could go either way aaaah. Bit nauseous now and then, I can stand the smell of food. On the other hand my belly feels like AF pains, but very very faint.

blue22, I have a 33-34 day cycle. I was using an OPK, which was positive on both days 22 and 23. We SWI on day 21, and I'm certain that was it, as although we SWI a couple of times in the fertile window after that, the pressure of the time window caused, ahem, some performance issues (sorry, TMI). Actually, I think exactly the same happened when I conceived DD - I was so sure that the action that month was too early and was really despondent. Either DHs little swimmers hung around and specialise in distance events, or I had a short cycle each of those months, although the OPK this time would suggest not. Another girl, then, perhaps?! Arent girl-sperm better at the long-distance stuff?

hey ladies! Congrats on the BFPs I missed when I temporarily lost the plot thread.

I'm on something like CD 22 now - OH and I have been ill with flu but managed SWI on more or less the right sort of days. Last cycle was 25 days so I'm thinking I might crack open a test if no action by Monday, but it will be a bit early maybe.

I'm not telling OH though

hmmm, my DH has been ill for the last couple of days too and won't let me near him :(, as I don't have a regular cycle (6weeks-3 months) I was just going for trying at least every 2 days to make it semi fool-proof. I am an ickle bit gutted.

Beemybaby, do you use ovulation test because of your irregular cycle?

ATM I'm still waiting for AF. All the signs are there...but nothing happens

I'm not feeling at all confident tonight. Done a couple more tests (same brand) since Wednesday, and the line is not a jot denser. I've been really nauseous and retching the last couple of days (had hyperemesis with DD) but much less today. I put that down to having a lazy day, but just did another test (different brand) and the line is almost non-existant - JUST visible and no more.

I can't bear that all I can do is just wait. I keep trying to tell myself that it's still really early, that I'm still only 15 days post ovulation and it may just be that it's still really early but ok. But deep down I'm feeling dreadfully gloomy. I hate this, hate this, hate this.
