Hi there,

TTC #2, starting this month.
Anybody else out there thinking new year, new baby?

Currently OV, first attempts this month.

He's better, now passed it on to me! We did however find a window for some SWI last night after OPK said go go go yesterday morning, so here's hoping!

And so the TWW begins...

I got into a right superstitious state yesterday, though - my cycle is pretty irregular but usually much longer, and so I was going to have to buy another OPK but of course yesterday's test meant I didn't need to. And then I got in this complete quandary of TTC superstition where I was thinking, "well, if I buy this then I bet I'll be flaming pregnant and then it'll be a waste of money, but if I don't buy it it'll be tempting fate and I won't be pregnant". Silly moo.

(I didn't buy it, BTW)

Hope your feeling better now Wicket

How's everybody getting on? Seems to have gone quiet on here lately..

I am new to this thread but also started TTC in January... with no results so far, unfortunately. Please may I join you? Am now 3 DPO on this cycle so very much hoping this month is the one. I know it's only been four months but I am not very good at being patient. It doesn't help that someone at work has just announced that she's 14 weeks pregnant and by chance I found out that she'd started TTC on literally the same day as me (obviously I didn't share that co-incidence with her Grin!) so feel a bit downcast by that. Still, maybe this will be the month...

TheWicketKeeperIsDown · 06/05/2011 22:30

Hi, LoveInAColdClimate and welcome!

Thanks LPO, feeling a bit better now but on 2nd course of antibiotics as the tonsillitis made a reappearance. Had a shite week at work and DD (age 2) has crap eczema and we've had to start doing long and involved dressings for it which are a complete nightmare, particularly when she's crying and jumping about. Sad And now she's got some viral thing and has a temp of 38.7. I need a break!

Feeling a bit weird, in the way that I have done both times I've been pregnant, but it's far too early to feel that - only 7-8 DPO. Can I hold out for another week and a half?!

LPO · 07/05/2011 11:10

Welcome Loveinacoldclimate

Sorry to hear Wicket about you being so ill and having such a bad week. Maybe a good thing you aren't 6 months pregnant and having to deal with all this?!

I'm just getting further and further away from actually thinking this could happen. This is our 6th cycle of TTC. Have said to DH that if this month fails I'm going to look at getting some OV sticks. Have been putting off as don't want to waste money on them.

You ladies are quiet just now! Hope everyone's ok. Anyone coming up to testing? I think (based on ovulation date this month that AF is due in Sunday, but hoping to hold out till a week today as that would be my longest cycle length, and after the last time, y'know...

LivingDeadGirl · 11/05/2011 20:30

CD 31, BFN this morning. Consoling myself with orange chicken and egg fried rice :-(

LPO · 12/05/2011 07:41

AF arrived Tuesday :(
Good luck to everyone else this month.

TheWicketKeeperIsDown · 12/05/2011 21:36

Aw, sorry LivingDeadGirl and LPO.

I have felt really sick the last 2 mornings and have intermittently sore boobies - not sure I'm going to be able to hold out till Wednesday to test...

TheWicketKeeperIsDown · 14/05/2011 14:05

Cracked. Poas. BFN. Completely and utterly miserable. And can't have a glass of vino until AF actually appears just in case.

TheWicketKeeperIsDown · 14/05/2011 22:41

AF here.

Sitting consoling myself with some cider and chocolate.
Sad

LPO · 15/05/2011 08:01

Sorry to read this Wicket sending you hugs!!

TheWicketKeeperIsDown · 21/05/2011 16:55

So, no good news from anyone this month, then?

LPO · 21/05/2011 18:39

Nope, doesn't look like it :(

I'm really confused as well this month. I decided to buy some fertility sticks to see it they help. But they don't seem to be linking with when the ovulation calendar says I'm ovulating. Maybe I've been timing it wrong all this time? Or maybe the fertility sticks don't work because they were the cheaper end of the market; Not so sure.

LPO · 27/05/2011 08:22

Wicket How are things going for you this month?

OP posts:
TheWicketKeeperIsDown · 28/05/2011 20:46

It's SWI week... tired! Grin

It's weird, my cycles have much shorted since my MC - it seems to come round really quickly. I should be happy, though - more chances to try! POAS lots (OPKs) and should probably ovulate tomorrow. Good luck this month, girls!

LPO · 29/05/2011 13:34

We had OV time last week, but has decided to SWI every other day without fail this month to see how that works. AF due a week on Monday I think. Although it seems to vary by a couple of days either side.

OV sticks still saying I'm not OV, think they are rubbish cheap ones that don't work, either that or I never OV?!

BeeMyBaby · 29/05/2011 16:46

LPO I definitely support the at least every 48 hours tactic!

LPO · 29/05/2011 17:58

bee How are things going?????

OP posts:
LPO · 30/05/2011 18:12

Am crying because have found out another relative is pregnant. Also, due AF at the weekend, boobs are saw, generally emotional. So bit :( here!!

OP posts:
TheWicketKeeperIsDown · 30/05/2011 23:12

Oh, LPO, hugs.

TheWicketKeeperIsDown · 31/05/2011 23:08

And waves to Bee*. How are you getting on?!

BeeMyBaby · 01/06/2011 15:25

Things seem to be going ok, 14 weeks now but no more symptoms and no bump so I guess its just waiting till about 17 weeks for doubt to subside, I always find that until you have the baby born, in front of you, it might all not be real, or may all go wrong.
I have to say, I have been lurking on here for a while watching you two, and I have never been so fascinated by other womens AF's or possible lack of. I have also noted that LPO's AF has moved from mid month to start of the month in the last 3 months. Now this is turning into cyber stalking.

LPO · 01/06/2011 15:35

Ha ha Bee I am getting scared now!! :) AF works on a 26 day cycle pretty regular, only a day either side normally.
Still a tad worried that the OV sticks have said I didn't OV this month, but hoping it's because I bought the cheaper ones and nothing more worrying.
Glad everything is going well bee, it's nice that you drop in to see us! :)
