Hi there,

TTC #2, starting this month.
Anybody else out there thinking new year, new baby?

Currently OV, first attempts this month.

I would be jealous too. Just wait - your time will come - and then she will have a toddler and you will have THE most gorgeous little cozy bundle.

LPO · 30/03/2011 07:31

Yes, but at the moment I have the toddler and she has the bundle! Not that I am complaining whatsoever about having my toddler!! :)

BeeMyBaby · 30/03/2011 13:05

Does she have any other children yet?

LPO · 30/03/2011 15:02

No, this is her first.

Hello all,

Deep breath, first time on here waves. You all sound lovely, please can I join your gang?!

This is my first month TTC, am lurching between excitement that I'm finally taking the plunge, and pure and utter terror! Every twinge is analysed in detail for signs of PG. Honestly, I'm driving myself mad!

Dutchie Christmas babies sound perfect, let's keep fingers crossed!

BeeMyBaby · 31/03/2011 14:39

Hello Poulette, welcome! Hopefully you won't need to stick around here too too long, have you started your first two-week wait yet?

Poulette · 31/03/2011 19:11

Hi Bee! Thank you for making me welcome. And thank goodness for MN. It's so nice to know I'm not alone!

Yep, I'm on my very first two-week wait - who knew a month was so long? Tell me, does it always seem to drag like this?

BeeMyBaby · 02/04/2011 08:05

Yes I think it very much drags!

So... I felt a bit sick on Thursday and managed to convince DH to let me get a test, he was very pessimistic about it as I had felt sick a few times before and nothing came of it, so he only purchased the supercheap £4 for two tests from Asda - so got a hazy BFP on Thursday evening (the control line almost didn't show up so I wasn't sure if it worked), then got another BFP on Friday morning - but then DH was still saying he wasn't convinced as an acquaintances' gf had got a cheap test and had a BFP when it turned out with a more expensive test, the first result was false. So went to the shops myself yesterday, got the most expensive one - clearblue, and got a BFP this morning (3+ weeks). I'm now waiting for DH to wake up so I can show him :)

At least we will not have to SWI every single 2 days (trying to be no longer than 48 hours apart) as I had no idea when ovulation was - I can have a rest now as we have been using this method since Nov - I am tired!

Poulette · 02/04/2011 08:25

Congratulations Bee! Gorgeous news and so exciting! Bet your DH will be thrilled.

BeeMyBaby · 02/04/2011 22:54

Thank you, he's thrilled about the BFP, not so thrilled with losing his every 2 day SWI.

Anyone else with news this week or are most of you checking around next eek or possible Christmas babies?

goingmadtrying · 03/04/2011 00:11

Congrats bee here's wishing you a lovely pregnancy :)

BeeMyBaby · 03/04/2011 07:42

in my previous post it was obviously meant to say week for

LPO · 03/04/2011 14:58

Congratulations Bee not at all envious! Hmm
Hope to 'meet' you on a pregnancy thread soon! Sadly no news here.
Is your due date for a Christmas baby?

OP posts:
CODwidow · 03/04/2011 19:41

Hi we've been ttc since jan and this month i think it may have worked! Not due til 14/4 but yesterday started having some pinkish spotting which has happened a bit today too so hoping this is implantation but im having some cramping so i hope alls ok, has anyone else had anything similar?

BeeMyBaby · 04/04/2011 14:20

LPO I think my due date is about 1st December or late Nov as CB test said 3+weeks, I plan to attempt to hold it in till nearer the 9th as I'd awfully like a birthday baby (yes, I am a greedy person).

Ooo implantation bleeding :) didn't get that but I think I did have many fictitious cramps.

I think this month will be the threads month :)

Dutchie77 · 05/04/2011 18:13

Congrats BeeMyBaby! Sooo exciting. Hope you feel well and enjoy your pregnancy.

I am still waiting here. I had my ovulation on day 12, SWI on all the right days. I felt neasious last three days and now...nothing. In the meanwhile I got pretty depressed about everything. Feel like crying all day. It's not always easy, living in a foreign country and having no friends around.

I think nothing will happen this month. Fingers crossed for TTC #3

LPO · 05/04/2011 19:57

Dutchie where do you live? Isn't living abroad with kids one of the hardest things? People really don't get that. Completely on the same page as you!!

Don't think we got it this month. Here's hoping for next... Aren't we on about cycle 5 now?? URGH, and I thought it would be easy!!

OP posts:
Poulette · 05/04/2011 22:08

Bee still so excited for you - have you told anyone yet?

Codwidow - sounds like it could be good news for you too! Maybe this is a lucky thread.

Cracked and did a test today - AF not due til next week according to planner, but I reckon I have a shorter cycle...am yet to pin it down! Anyway, there was the faintest line, but across the window not vertically as in the control window. So, a potential, possible maybe? Will try again in a few days...

Dutchie77 · 06/04/2011 06:47

LPO well I don't have kids yet so that is even more easy then your sitiuation I guess. It's 9 months since I left Holland and moved to the UK. How long do you live in Belgium? The language must be hard for you!

and Poulette : same here. I have to wait another week pffff. Fingers crossed!!

mumtoo4 · 06/04/2011 12:59

congrats bee, hope you have a happy and healthy 9 months x
i'm on my 4th month of ttc , been having weird feeling down below just feel very heavy , had some cramping too on and off , i'm due af on 17th april xgood luck to everyone xx

BeeMyBaby · 06/04/2011 13:15

Poulette yes I told my mother as didn't want her to feel hurt like last time when I didn't tell her till 16 weeks. She inn turn has told my father and brother, but we aren't telling anyone outside the family until at least 12 weeks.

To be fair , I was entering my 6 month of trying (which I was freaking out about) as I started in Nov but joined this thread because I was super lonely trying on my own.

I really think its going to be a lucky month - spring has (almost) sprung.

TheWicketKeeperIsDown · 06/04/2011 16:55

Congrats Bee!

Well, I feel kind of like dipping my toe in the water again. I'm not doing any ovulation testing or temps at the mo, but I'd expect to be ovulating round about now and we're kind of SWoutI but kind of with, IYKWIM. not going to be upset if nothing happens this month and certainly not expecting it to, but dint think I'd be upset if it did, whereas couldnt bear the thought of it last month.

LPO · 08/04/2011 13:14

Dutchie we've been out here for over 3 years now. Yes, language barrier is areal struggle esp now we're looking at schools for DS.
Wicket We're all here to hold your hand along the TTC way. x

Dutchie77 · 09/04/2011 14:09

Decided to do a test today. I felt something coming, but you know, if you think you're pregnant, AF won't come in time because of wishful thinking and as a consequence your cycle will be way of track.

but OMG........ it says I'm really pregnant!! Big fat cross in the first result window..... that's not what I expected today! I am 4 days before AF so I want to wait at least a week to make sure. I can't believe it LOL Smile No signs of nausea, only a bit of pain in the boobies.

DP is staying calm and we continue this gorgeousday in the garden.

LPO · 09/04/2011 17:45

Wow! Congratulations. Will keep my fingers crossed for you :)
