Oops!!! That was stupid :(

PrincessBoo · 02/01/2011 18:45

Yes please Sporkett

Now I've read it you can ask mumsnet to delete it :o

rocketleaf · 02/01/2011 18:53

Already have but suspect mn towers might be deserted right now. Which is exactly how it should be! Oh well

rocketleaf · 02/01/2011 21:57

Ah the all seeing eye of MN never sleeps! :o

starnosemole · 02/01/2011 22:13

now we'll never know

Evenin all- hope you're all well. We've spent day troll hunting -in the real not internet sense- in the lakes, fortunately we only saw the odd nose or ear so no one came to any harm.
I finished watching Prison Break last night- and although its so old as to be almost retro would like to invite Wentworth Millar to join our happy bunch of skiers (what? I have skis- they're beautiful, and that's what counts isn;t it? NOt actual ability..) I think he would look amazingly fetching in an all in one red suit-with easy access zip.
So who are the new potential BESH slaves for 2011? Charlie's got married, Dr Cox has left our screens, and now Daniel has hooked up with Ms Weis-and lets face it, no one's going to get a look in there anymore...we must have new meat, we must.

PrincessBoo · 03/01/2011 01:22

She just invited us to stay at hers but inadvertently outed herself at the same time :)

Truffkin · 03/01/2011 02:39

Yo BESH haglettes, have been missing in festive action and am glad to be back. Up late watching cricket and as the Aussies are playing long game tactics, have much time to catch up. Sorry for droid arrival all round, seems the moon woo shizz was responsible for much evilness this month.

So Christmas was lovely, hectic, drunken and social. Fave gifts were a) kindle from TGB, b) tickets to PDC world champs final tomorrow from my Mom and c) vouchers for Le Gavroche from BIL and SIL. NYE much fun with friends and their small child in Hyde Park's winter wonderland, then dinner, then excessive drunkeness / dancing / singing at our house. All rounded off by lovely chilled birthday times yesterday (2nd) with lie in, breakfast in bed gifts, dinner out and general being looked after by TGB.

I cannot imagine how I will go about re-establishing a routine or getting my brain into work mode, but have had a fab time so will put off crossing that bridge for another 30 hours or so. I've even managed to get to CD13 without really noticing, so am starting 2011 with zen like calm in TTC related things.

No resolutions yet, will be something about gym attendance, more baking and being better at staying in touch. Due to proximity of birthday, I always put them off by a week. Am planning detox and healthier diet from 10th Jan. Am hoping for another wicket before retiring to bed, let's see how long I have to wait!

InTheSunshine · 03/01/2011 09:01

Ah Truff I've missed you!! your Christmas / NY sounds great all round. But I have to ask youone thing - Cricket??? Really? I don't get it. MS & his Dad love it. I don't understand the attraction. Pliz to explain 3 good things about it?

Medee · 03/01/2011 10:15

Dr Brian Cox is on our tellies tonight, Mole, if he is a suitable substitute?

PrincessBoo · 03/01/2011 11:05

Hellooooo Truffs when's your birthday sweetness?

On the 10th Jan I ordered this dress to wear on NYE. It has just arrived. It looks very good. I am skint as skint can be. Agonising over whether to send it back or not...

rocketleaf · 03/01/2011 11:40

Happy birthday Truffs, your hols sounds lovely, Kindle seems to have been the gift of choice from the ESH men this year, clever boys!

moley may I offer up Rufus Sewell? He's going down well over in the Deli at the mo but we are generous enough to share Wink You can't have RDJ tho, he's MINE.

Ariesgirl · 03/01/2011 11:48

RUFUS SEWELL???? Oh yes please. Mine, mine all mine! Won't share.

Happy Birthday Truffers, you lucky girl. That sounds like a lovely time. Boo, can't open your link, love.

Am I alone in the universe in being ignorant about what a kindle is? Sounds to me like some kind of spinning implement, but that can't be right, surely?

PrincessBoo · 03/01/2011 11:51

You haven't commented on the dress Rocks does your silence mean you think it's hideous and mumsy and I should send it back? :o

PrincessBoo · 03/01/2011 11:52

dress

PrincessBoo · 03/01/2011 11:53

Soz Trufflekin I didn't read your post properly, Felicitations for your birthday yesterday xxxx

PrincessBoo · 03/01/2011 11:54

Kindle is like a book crossed with an ipod Rie.

rocketleaf · 03/01/2011 11:59

No I think it is lovely, boo I am not a big Boden fan but you seem to have the knack of finding the one thing they do each season which is lovely. However I am a miser at the moment so seeing as you bought it for a specific wearing occasion which has now passed I would probably be inclined to say send it back (and I suspect that is not the answer you are looking for :o)

Now now aries be nice and share, he has to go pretty far to cover 2 threads!

TB has just told me Pete Postlethwaite has died, this is very very sad news :( RIP Pete.

PrincessBoo · 03/01/2011 11:59

No but it is probably the right one :o

Ariesgirl · 03/01/2011 12:01

A great actor and by all accounts a very nice man. RIP Pete :(

OK, I'll share Rufus and I now feel stupid about the kindle.

rocketleaf · 03/01/2011 12:04

I quite like your alternative Kindle, a spinning machine that doubles as a fire lighter maybe?

Ariesgirl · 03/01/2011 12:18

What's a kirtle? Because I nearly called it that.

rocketleaf · 03/01/2011 12:27

old fashioned belt I believe. Could be wrong tho.

rocketleaf · 03/01/2011 12:28

I was wrong, its like a tunic. worn in medieval timez.

PrincessBoo · 03/01/2011 15:00

avec a wimple.
