Ok ladies, here's the new thread, let's hope it's a lucky one!

OP posts:
CaveMum · 21/01/2011 07:31

Blimey, I turn my back for 5 minutes and a mass reunion happens!

Florin Nice to hear from you. I totally understand the need to have a break, it can get very intense on here. We put ourselves under an awful lot of pressure to be perfect - 100% healthy, conceive at the drop of a hat, etc - and the reality is that very few of us are!
Hope your operation goes well and that they can clear everything up.

Flick how are you???!!! Lovely to hear from you and hope all is well with you and MrF.

It'll probably not be able to check in and let you know how the appointment went till lunchtime but will certainly let y'all know what is said.

Whoop, whoop! It's only bluddy Friday!!!!

JosieSmith1 · 21/01/2011 08:59

Good luck Cavemum

Glad you got a laugh out of it Toria Grin, last night was more successful Blush Really pleased your DH came round with no persuasion, hope the appt was ok

Florin I hope the operation goes smoothly and you?re well on the way to recovery soon

Flick lovely to hear from you, hope all is well

I don?t seem to have any signs of oving Confused, though tbh I haven?t really been checking, it better bloody be happening behind the scenes or our shagthon will have been wasted. It is possible to have an anovulatory cycle isn?t it? I?ll be very Angry

Fingerscrossed1 · 21/01/2011 10:47

Josie I'm not sure about anovulatory cycles but I'd like to know the answer too.

I've had EWCM around the time I should be ovulating so I'm presuming I have been but actually how do you know for sure that you are? Confused

CaveMum · 21/01/2011 11:11

[whispers] Hello all! I'm just popping in very quickly while my colleague is off making herself a cup od tea!

Appointment went well, if frustrating:

My blood results and ultrasound have all come back completely normal. That's the good news.

Bad news is she doesn't know why I am not ovulating, and therefore not having any periods, so is referring me to the local hospital to see a gynaecologist to see if they can figure out thr problem.

Ho hum, more waiting it is then.

Florin · 21/01/2011 14:40

Hicavey at least you are being referred that is a positive thing. If you Want to speed things up I can highly recommend my gyny specialist at London bridge he speeds thing up scaring fast!

CaveMum · 21/01/2011 16:14

Thanks Florin, my GP said I should get a letter from them inviting me to make an appointment in the next 10 days, so I will wait until I have spoken to them to see how long I am likely to have to wait for an appointment first.

'Tis a very kind offer thought :)

weimy · 21/01/2011 16:21

Hi Cavemum good that things are moving forward :)

Toria good news about OH, now might be the time for a pet you could be on a roll Wink

florin good luck with the op :)

:)

TomboyWife · 21/01/2011 22:31

Evening ladies!

Welcome back Flick and Florin! Good luck with your op Florin, it sounds very promising if not a lot of fun on the day.

Cavey good luck with your referral! Sounds like generally good news, and hopefully they can get to the bottom of your problem now they know what it isn't.

Josie it's perfectly normal to have an occasional anovulatory cycle even if you're otherwise in tip-top shape and fertile. But hopefully your shagathon will be not-wasted and productive.

Not a lot of news here. My boobs started getting sore a couple of days ago and are solidly in medium-sore territory today. Today is CD11 I believe. I think I often ov early, but CD11 still seems way too soon for boob soreness to mean anything. Weird... Confused

JosieSmith1 · 22/01/2011 08:09

Cave good luck with the referral, hopes it's somethin they can quickly solve 4 u

Thanks Tomboy, I thought that was the case with anovulatory cycles, but will I still get ERTD or will I just keep going until I do ov? I really don't think I hav, get pretty much no signs Angry

Florin · 22/01/2011 12:09

Had my operation now sitting up in bed watching tv waiting for my lunch! All went well hospital is fab got a lovely room. Ovaries have been drilled my tubes were clear, he found I had the mildest form of endremetriosis however he has zapped that. Fingers crossed it will make a difference!

JosieSmith1 · 22/01/2011 15:04

Really glad it all went well Florin, hope you're not too uncomfortable at the moment and fingers crossed it'll do the trick

TomboyWife · 22/01/2011 15:11

Florin glad all went well!

Josie if you usually ovulate but have a one-off anovulatory cycle, chances are you'll get ERTD a few days late but otherwise as normal. It's frustrating, but it does happen occasionally. Sad

CaveMum · 22/01/2011 21:31

Glad your operation went well Florin, it all sounds very positive.

I have to admit that I had a bit of a breakdown last night and sobbed on DH for about half an hour. I know it is daft but I started to get worried that the fact that the tests have not been able to find anything wrong means that something serious must be the matter with me. I know it is not rational, and I am by nature a worrier and the fact that so many women's cycles go back to normal so quickly has me convinced that I am faulty Sad.
I really hope that my referral comes through quickly because I think I'll drive myself, and DH, insane before too long.

raspberrytipple · 23/01/2011 10:39

Morning ladies,

Sorry I haven't been around much but I'm another one who has needed a bit of a break plus my next study period with the OU is kicking off soon (up until October) and with the wedding this year I haven't had time to keep on top of everything.

Soooooo, I have decided, somewhat reluctantly not to think about this TTC malarky. I had convinced myself I should go to the doctors this month but in reality I know they will say that I should have left it a year before a visit so, we are just going to try to be healthy, not indulge in any POAS 2 days after ovulation and legs up in the air after sex etc etc, its all taking the shine off what should be an amazing year for us. If nothing has happened by the time we get to the wedding well it will have been a year so I am well within my rights to march off to the doctors. So having said all of the above, I am going to bid you all farewell and have my fingers tightly crossed that by the end of the year we are all PG with our much wanted baybees but I just can't cope with constantly stalking the threads then crying everytime someone posts about their BFP. I try to just come and see the frollickers but it inevitably ends up being a mass visit around the buses then onto the antenatal clubs and so on and I just can't do it anymore, I'm exhaused. :(

So, thank you all for all the support and the giggles over the past 8 months, I wish all of you the very best xxxxxx

Bye bye xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

p.s. I have left a mass batch of homemade virtual cocktails behind the bar for you to remember me by!!!!! Grin

weimy · 23/01/2011 11:25

(((((Raspberry)))))Bear

evilgiraffe · 23/01/2011 13:18

Aww, Raspberry :( You will come back and tell us when you get a BFP though, won't you?

My news - ERTD has turned up early this month, so today my stats are:

evilgiraffe TTC#1, Cycle 6, UCL 28, CD3

Ah well. If someone could adjust mine next time they update the list, I'd appreciate it!

highheelsandequations · 23/01/2011 15:57

sending hugs your way raspberry and wishing you a fabulous year planning for your wedding
xxxxxxxxxx

TigerseyeMum · 23/01/2011 20:04

Hello I have been avoiding this threa cos we have not made any inroads this month due to massive amounts of work :(

But i hope all is well in Follicle Land. Cavemum I hope it all gets figured out, would they use clomid on anovulation?

Waves to Raspberry too.

We will try harder next month, promise Wink

JosieSmith1 · 23/01/2011 20:29

Aw Raspberry I see where you're coming from. Hope everything goes really really well for you and do come visit us occassionally (hugs)

Cave sorry you were upset, bet it all just got on top of you. Hope you're feeling better now

Sorry ERTD arrived evilgiraffe

My temp soared this morning so don't know what to think. Just got to wait. DH asked me today if I wanted him to go get tested. He says he's getting really miserable every month and doesn't feel like a man Sad. Poor DH, he's annoyed that his brother and SiL have three kids and his sis and BiL have two kids and they seemed to get pg straight away. I had to point out that they might have been trying for years but not told us.

TomboyWife · 23/01/2011 21:38

Aw raspberry, we'll miss you round these parts! I hope you'll come back and let us know how everything goes for you, but I completely understand your wanting to take a step back.

hugs

cherrycobbler · 24/01/2011 09:42

really glad your op went well florin, fingers crossed for you xxx

rasberry will miss you! promise you will pop back to update every now and then - particularly about how the Big Day goes?! Your reasons for stepping back and just enjoying the amazing year to come all very understandable, hope it all goes v v well.

And lovely flick hope you had a fab christmas and new year and all going great in the flick household. Think of you often.

big hello to everyone else too (particularly zips, kkas and lanky if you still lurk) xxx

TomboyWife · 25/01/2011 08:41

Morning ladies,

Just a quick one to say ERTD arrived this morning. Something like 14 days early. This is the second time this has happened. WTF?? Angry

Florin · 25/01/2011 08:56

raspberry completely understand you taking a break. It really helped me and I feel so much more positive now and ready to give it my full attention! Come back when you are ready though and good luck with the wedding.
tomboy and giraffe sorry to hear about ertd

I am in much less pain although really tired and finding anything I do exhausting. Going to tell boss I need a couple more days off. Desperate to get started now on properly ttc. Dh is talking all the time about what it's going to be like when we finally have our baby which is so sweet.

LateToTheTTCParty · 25/01/2011 11:33
