Ok ladies, here's the new thread, let's hope it's a lucky one!

OP posts:
TomboyWife · 13/12/2010 18:36

Evening ladies!

Ooh garden that does sound promising! (Adds "congratulate someone on feeling sick" to the list of things I never thought I'd do.)

Good luck with this cycle slow!

ERTD is mostly gone here, but I don't think I'm going to be doing too much in the way of trying to time our homework this month. We're getting on a flight to America next week, and long haul flights always trigger ERTD the next day. Even when I'm on Cerazette and don't bleed for months and months at a time. I'm just treating this cycle as a little interlude before the next one. (Cue the annoying music you hear in lifts.)

gardenpixie · 13/12/2010 22:08

Hi tomboy hope you're OK with your longhaul and manage to have S for fun as well as / rather than duty.

Am feeling a bit glum as my self deluded nausea and alcohol intolerance vanished in the face of a lovely curry and a bottle of cava Xmas Blush

Oh well!

Here's hoping I'm pukey tomorrow morning( Tomboy I might have to put that on my list of things I never thought I'd say!) xx

ToriaPumpkinHead · 14/12/2010 10:44

Morning droiks, sorry for my once again unexplained absence, OH's grandmother died over the weekend so things have been a bit mad here. Things have now settled down as it looks like the funeral is not going to be until January as his aunt's being difficult. Just what everyone needs.

Garden hope you feel rough as a badger's arse this morning! Mum has now gone so I have my house back to myself and got all of Sunday to chill out before things went mad. Simply Red were epic, Macy Gray was the support and I like her as well so pretty good night :D He stood at the front of the stage towards the end and said "I realise this is a bit late, but I've noticed that security are stopping people taking photos, well, I don't really care, so take as many as you want!" Xmas Grin Highlight was deifnitely the two late-teen/early-twenties lads beside us though, who stood up and sang If You Don't Know Me By Now to each other!

Tomboy Hope longhaul isn't too horrific.

Truff Festive red hair sounds awesome Xmas Grin I was pillar box red for about five years and loved it.

Tiger Fingers crossed you caught your ovulation in time, as someone (Garden?) said, you're more likely to conceive the day before than on the day. And I agree wholeheartedly with the not knowing being worse than waiting. If it was guaranteed but just took a while I would cope so much better!

Slow Best of luck with this cycle!

Right, I'm off out to reflex to space out, drink mulled wine and ignore the world for a little while. Have a good Tuesday everyone!

Hi all, just a quick post with the list. No nausea for me this morning Xmas Sad but I did have a lovely lie in so maybe I missed it Xmas Grin !

Hope you're all well xxxx

TigerseyeMum · 14/12/2010 11:30

Morning all. I am not really with it, sorry, still have the flu here and am off work again :(

Garden I have also been sicky the last 2 days and am trying not to convince myself it is the egg attaching itself the the womb sickyness Hmm

But I hope your sickiness was something important. I think mine is just flu.

We might all be snowed in at Christmas looking at the forecasts so maybe there wll be a baby boom come January Grin

Karstan · 14/12/2010 13:34

Good day all

Been suffering with a cold since last week which now feels like it's moving to my chest, but better to be sick now than during the holidays. Still managed to get a bit of swi the last few days Grin, although not sure whether prodding has upset my cycle as no ovulation signs yet.

Just booked holiday to tenerife for some winter sun in Feb staying in a lovely little place up in the mountains so something new to count down to. I find I'm in a much better headspace if I have somethin other than ertd to count down to.

Glad others are keeping positive and seeing that if ertd arrives it's time for a very merry (hic) Christmas and if it doesn't that's a great Christmas present too.

Fingerscrossed1 · 14/12/2010 15:14

Hi everyone - wondered whether I was too late to join in?

This is 2nd month of ttc for the first time. Have been reading through threads recently and feel it's time to join in Smile

Wave to gardenpixie for directing me to this thread Smile

ToriaPumpkinHead · 14/12/2010 15:19

Not at all Fingerscrossed! Come in and join the madness, people seem to have been taking the advice to heart and leaving our lovely pub to get shagging recently but when we're here we're a lovely bunch Xmas Smile

OP posts:
Fingerscrossed1 · 14/12/2010 15:32

Ha! Everyone seems to be so lovely on here and I just love the acronyms...swi especially!

gardenpixie · 14/12/2010 16:18

Hi everyone

Karstan lovely to see you - hope you are feeling better. Well done on the SWIing even when under the weather - i reckon that's got to earn you some baby points for effort! very Xmas Envy about your Feb break; what a good idea, it's great to have something other than TTC to focus on

Tiger boooo that you are poorly. But let's hope all the (albeit enforced) rest is helping your tiger cub implant. I suspect my queasiness may have been a bug too but until and unless ERTD strikes, I'm just going to tell myself it's pg related!

Hi Toria how are you doing?

Welcome Fingerscrossed really glad you joined us Xmas Smile everyone here is lovely and just what you need when you're in the middle of TTCing. I hope it's a really lucky thread for you and look forward to getting to know you

Ergh, back to work for me. If only I was as proficient at getting pg as I was am at churning out drivel on powerpoint writing really insightful presentations...! xxx

Fingerscrossed1 · 14/12/2010 17:09

Thank you gardenpixie Smile

I'm finding it so difficult to concentrate on work at the moment, all I can think about is prams and moses baskets and I'm not even pregnant!

Truffkin · 14/12/2010 17:38

Welcome FingersCrossed and hope this thread proves lucky for you.

Garden am sure it was the lie in that fooled your sickness, we should pass that on as an alternative to ginger biscuits Grin

Tiger sorry you are still feeling under the weather, here's a vodka spiked lempsip to help perk you up!

Karstan lovely that you have a holiday to look forward to, I'm really keen to get away and have been thinking February would be good. When I mentioned this to DH he said 'but what if you are pg, you won't be able to drink!' what does that say about me I wonder!

Third high temp this morning so Saturday was definitely OV day for me. This means ERTD due Boxing Day and at least I am going to be stupidly busy with work and sorting things out for Christmas so that will hopefully keep the mentalling down for the next 2 weeks (who am I kidding?)

It's my work Christmas party tonight and am hoping for a pretty awesome show. Last year we had Jools Holland in one room and Peter Andre in the other, so something for everything! There have been rumours that Westlife are playing tonight and although I'm not a huge fan, it will be a good story to tell people. Plus the food and drink is all free, so I have cleared my calendar until 10am tomorrow morning Wink

Tomorrow is hump day, one day closer to Christmas!

Truffkin · 14/12/2010 17:41

P.S as I won't be on in the morning, just wanted to say good luck for tomorrow Womanly hope everything goes well.

TigerseyeMum · 14/12/2010 19:41

Waves to fingerscrossed

CaveMum · 14/12/2010 20:21

Evening all. Just checking in on y'all!

fingerscrossed welcome! It's always nice to have a newbie!

Hope everyone is well. karstan & tiger, I too am suffering with seasonal lurgi so my sympathies to you.

TomboyWife · 14/12/2010 20:42

Evening ladies!

Welcome fingerscrossed! A more lovely group of ladies you will never hope to meet.

Boo to all the lurgies out there in TTC-Land! Boo boo boo! Xmas Angry

We had a major work deadline today, so now that's over I have time to worry about other stuff. Like, oh, buying Christmas presents, posting Christmas cards, hoping Heathrow's not snowed in for our Christmas flights. If the weather screws us over I really will be cross as we got stuck in the Eurostar Christmas snow last year. Bah humbug. Xmas Angry

gardenpixie · 14/12/2010 23:28

Hi all, I've just finished work Xmas Sad ergh; it's been a while since I was up working this late!

I hope you are all having lovely evenings - here's some Tio Pepe for anyone who's still up. And if you're not up, you can have yours with breakfast.

Just wanted to say good luck to womanly I hope it goes well tomorrow. I'll be thinking of you and keeping my fingers tightly crossed xxxx

womanlytales · 15/12/2010 07:27

I will certainly have it with my porridge, thanks garden - - Am in a low place this week and unfortunately the appt is not making me feel any better... oh well, chin up.

A warm welcome to fingers - :)

Tomboy I hear you on the weather - woke up the radio saying we're in for a month long freeze - Xmas Shock- Are you travelling for the holidays?

Lanky if you are lurking - I wanted to wish you the very best for your appt today.

Thank you Truff and Garden for your support - puts on brave smile...

CaveMum · 15/12/2010 08:23

Hope all goes well today for both womanly and lanky.

Stay warm and lurgi free everyone!

Hi all

Womanly I'm sorry you have been feeling down. I hope you get some good news and clarity from your appt today so you know what's what

Lanky hope your appt goes well too and that you are enjoying settling into your new home

Fingerscrossed if you want to included on our list, do you want to tell us your details: which cycle of TTC you're on, your Usual Cycle Length and which day of your cycle you're on? Then we can put you on.

Plenty of us don't have our stats up there as some people find it less stressful not to count days (personally it's a godsend for me because it means I don't have to keep checking my diary obsessively every day!) so if you'd rather be on the 'not counting days' list then that's cool too Xmas Smile

Toria I hope your OH is feeling OK after his grandmother passing away. Very sad for him. Love your tales from Simply Red! Especially 'if you don't know me by now' - brilliant!

Waves to everyone else and sorry for such a short post - just have to take the hound out but will be back later to catch up properly

Oh, and before I go, I have a message to everyone from MissFlick she disabled her account to prevent lurking but she sends her love to everyone and special good luck to womanly and lanky ; she'll be back with us after New Years when she and Mr Flick get back into TTCing

xxxxx Xmas Grin

JosieSmith1 · 15/12/2010 13:02

Morning everyone, will catch up soon I promise, it's difficult with work being busy but promise I will try

Good luck to Lanky and Womanly

DH passed his driving test yesterday so that is fab, takes some of the pressure off me and he's loving being able to go out on his own (proved it by doing horsey for me this morning so I got a lie in, well, till 7am anyway). I'm still miserable about not being pg though, don't know why I'm so bothered this time round but every time I see babies or children I wonder why it hasn't worked for us yet Xmas Hmm Anyway, enough moaning, I haven't gone through half of what some people have had to go through so I must stop complaining!

Karstan · 15/12/2010 15:38

Congrats to your OH on passing his test. I'm still trying to persuade my OH to learn but he's scared reluctant. It'd make my life easier.

On the other hand, I'm not sure I'd be able to relinquish being in the driving seat. Still be useful so he could drive himself about.

Fingerscrossed1 · 15/12/2010 16:36

Just been reading through some of the last pages of the thread...when I should be working...to see what's been happening.

It's an emotional journey this ttc but have had more than a few chuckles to myself reading some comments...esp yours gardenpixie on the last page Grin

Gobolino · 15/12/2010 17:10

Hi everyone,
Would it be OK if I joined you? We started TTC our first last month, so I'm still learning the MN ropes. And I know nothing so need all the advice I can get!
Here are my stats, would someone be kind enough to add me next time you update?
Gobolino, TTC#1, Cycle 2, UCL 28-33
Am on CD19 today, just ovulated today (I think!)
Good luck to everyone. Smile

CaveMum · 15/12/2010 19:29

fingerscrossed you'll soon realise we are all totally nuts, but lovely!

Welcome to Gobolino, someone will add you to the list shortly Grin

Congrats to your DH Josie. Have you heard any news from the new yard you were trying to get horsey into?
