hi, this is probably a weee bit early for some ppl, but im waiting til end of this month to ttc (the desperation, brooding over other peoples babies and feeling jealous of pregnant women , thinking of names and waiting 2 symptom spot kicks in)
so come along and join the journey to motherhood!

Hi all,

didnt make it to work, couldnt get onto the estate road, nevermind anywhere else!!! Which is a good thing as there is more snowing coming thick and fast, so my clearing the path might have been a bit of a waste of time!!! Humph!!!

Satsuma would gladly send you some snow, my dogs are already too short and might disappear entirely soon!!!

Any chance you can be the designated driver Edward? I always drive so when i have to keep off the booze for any other reason there is no suspicion, but I doubt that you could pull that off for a whole weekend, but if you were going home the day after then you might be able to say that you need to stay sober to drive the next day?

onadietcokebreak · 29/11/2010 17:11

Can I join in please? I think I have missed the August bus. Even though I have had lots of symptoms I have a BFN today.

TTC #2 No idea when AF due. Only just had mirena out. Previously think cycle was 28days.

conkertree · 29/11/2010 19:44

OnadietcokeBreak - have you actually got your af though? If not is there still the chance it's just too early to test?

Think dh is getting cabin fever. Hope there is not too much more snow tonight so we can all get out and about tomorrow.

onadietcokebreak · 29/11/2010 20:14

No AF yet. Maybe still to early but Im losing hope.

Maybe I havent even ovulated this month. Dont understand how mirena works.

My DS was a September baby and my best friend has just had a girl so clothes wise I could be sorted if I have an autumn/winter baby!

onadietcokebreak · 29/11/2010 20:26

So what are all you ladies doing to prepare yourselves.

I have started folic acid, multi vitamins, given up Social Smoking and dont really drink much alochol anyway.

Hope you are all safe in the snow and not too cold. Had some blizzards locally but hopefully will be able to travel to Uni tomorrow.

BabsH · 29/11/2010 20:48

Hi OnadietcokeBreak,

Doing nothing much more than usual apart from taking pre pregnancy vits and having more sex - DH is on a bit of a schedule, which he isnt complaining too much about at the moment!!!

So over this snow now, hopefully can get out and to work tomorrow....

onadietcokebreak · 29/11/2010 20:57

Hi BabsH

Im already over this snow too and we have only had a dusting in relation to most of the UK. Ice is what is worrying me more.

DP cant he doesnt need pressure so trying my best not to impose anything but I am slowly making changes to family diet to include more healthier options.

broodyjemz · 29/11/2010 22:06

hiya
love the idea of getting someone who knows 2 pour your (none) alcoholic drinks!!

dietcoke when did u have ur mirena out and how did it go? had myn removed from my right fallopian tube via laparoscopy last thurs, had 2 days with some spotting, stopped 4 2 days now bleeding a bit more-my periods due any day but its not the same as it would usually b so i have no idea if its 2 do with hysteroscopy/laparoscopy/ mirena removal or just a period! did u have any unusual bleeding after?

started taking pre-pregnancy/pregnancy vitamins today :-) its the folic acid and iron (was anaemic in 1st 2 pregnancies-im a vegetarian-my kids do eat meat) think will need most.

we had some snow here a few days ago but nothing major, think we'll prb avoid 2nits downfall 2. surrounded by hills which do get covered tho-looks pretty! glad i no longer have to travel far 2 work mind, esp when it freezes! my car wouldnt start this morning (battery)-will have 2 find someone 2 jump start it 2moro!

everyone driving in the snow and ice, take care!!

edwardcullensotherfairy · 29/11/2010 22:19

Thanks for the tips everyone! DH mentioned something similar to yours conkertree - he suggested putting alcohol free wine in a cheap wine bottle (cheap so I'm not wasting loads of money throwing it away, and no-on e else wants to try it!). Either that or the down-the-sink option will be best. As we're staying with family for the weekend I won't be driving anywhere, so can't pull that one Confused
I did think of accepting one glass, then circulatin loads so I've got the same glass all night and no-one notices! Or antibiotics, but if someone asks me which ones or why, I'm so transparent they'll know I've made it up!

My preparations have been to stop drinking and social smoking so far. Will be getting folic acid this week (I meant to tonight but my pregnancy-brain still hasn't gone away from 3 years ago!). I'm going to continue with WW for a while so I can stay healthy, then take it easy after my (hopeful Smile) BFP. Unfortunately ca't stop going immediately as I go with my mum Confused

Sorry to hear of your BFN onadietcokebreak, here's hoping it is just too early to test. No AF appearance yet is a good sign Smile

onadietcokebreak · 29/11/2010 22:30

TMI alert.

Coil was removed 16/11 after massive pains in left side near where I envisage ovaries to be. Doctor did preg test - negative and examined coil. Said it was still in situ ok. Removed anyway as planning on TTC. She said any sex previous 7 days could lead to pregnancy. Tiny amount of bleeding afterwards- a little bit of clots.

After from that no bleeding.
Last week extreme tiredness, sore boobs, slighty bloody nose (v.v rare), nausea and heightened sense of smell. Hence why I have been testing!

edward Im thinking of starting Slimmingworld at home again. More of a healthy eating plan.

broody I remember you from other mirena threads. Glad its finally removed.

MrsSatsuma · 30/11/2010 16:41

Right, am getting impatient now. Roll on January... at least even if I get BFN it will feel like I'm actually doing something! Have started on pregnancy vitamins which is one thing I suppose...

Finally got snow! But only about an inch and has half gone now :( fingers crossed for next week...

Sorry for posting drivel, am bored and trying to put off marking shedloads of homework! Shock

Wow, looks like a few of u should know by christmas!! How exciting!!! Am i the only 1 feeling a little 2 consumed by all the baby thoughts? Argh! Roll on end dec! (and end of bleed so at least trying will feel like im doing something). Still no snow here. Bt the hills looking v.pretty!

Wombat33 · 30/11/2010 17:41

Hello all - can I mark my place? AF not due til Friday but absolutely no pg syptoms to report and POAS this morning and it was BFN so I'm expecting her to arrive on time. I'll see you at the end of the week!

broodycoilsout · 30/11/2010 18:41

Ah no, we can still hold out sum hope til fri tho :-) best of luck

conkertree · 30/11/2010 19:35

Ooh we'll be moving up from a mini bus to a proper single decker soon.

Mrs satsuma - totally agree it's frustrating not being able to ttc straight away, but I guess there is no harm in doing a bit of training.

Ds1s skin has finally made a bit of a break through today so we actually got a full nights sleep last night which was amaaaazing.

Loads of snow still here but looks like it will be ok to get out of the village tomorrow so I guess life will be back to normal.

Jojay · 01/12/2010 12:32

Hello all - I was on this thread near the beginning but haven't been back for a few days.

Anyway, I'm pleased to announce, in the nicest possible way, that i shall be leaving you - I've had a BFP this morning!!!!

I'm so chuffed but a bit nervous as my last pg ended in miscarriage.

By my calculations I've be due in August - a summer baby will be lovely as my two others were both autumn / winter so that'll be nice.

Best of luck to you all in your endeavours to conceive xx

Arabella36 · 01/12/2010 13:03
