hi, this is probably a weee bit early for some ppl, but im waiting til end of this month to ttc (the desperation, brooding over other peoples babies and feeling jealous of pregnant women , thinking of names and waiting 2 symptom spot kicks in)
so come along and join the journey to motherhood!

I'm very tentatively popping my head round the door! I might be on board towards the end of next month! Confused I've been waiting what feels like ages to TTC #2. It's a very long and boring story! Wink

I can't officially start TTC until the 24th Dec coz I need to wait for some medication to be out of my system (and also need to convince DH Hmm) & it all depends on cycles, I might be with you, I might not!

So for now I'll just wave & wish you all luck, hopefully I'll be back!

nannyl · 16/11/2010 21:03

waves back to bebe

and hello to all the others who have arrived on the bus Smile

Brasso4 · 17/11/2010 22:24

Hello all, can I jump on?

TTC number 2, this is my second real cycle - although the previous one was a monster 49 days, which is why I am coming straight for the September bus.

conkertree · 18/11/2010 09:27

Jojay and broody - you sound
Ike you are going through the exact same thought processes as us - sharing time between 3 etc. But I agree - I think we'd regret not trying.

I am the third in our family and I think I've always just assumed we'd have three cause of that but it's been a much bigger decision than I ever thought it would be.

Arabella -I'm with you on the Xmas drinks but I think my cycle might work out quite well in that regard.

Brasso - it must be very frustrating to have really long cycles. Are they always like that or was that a once off do you think?

ArabellaRose · 18/11/2010 13:22

Broody - this will be my second if all goes well. I have a 9 month old already.

Must say, I have some apprehension about having 2 babies at once. One child is so easy by comparison, its hard to imagine what it will be like.

broodywantcoilout · 18/11/2010 19:23

theres 17months between our 2, deciding to ttc ds was a very easy decision and a very exciting time 4 both of us (in more ways than 1, heehee). i wont lie to you, once ds was home it took months to feel 'normal' again. we didnt really have much of a routine when it was just dd-we certainly do now (tho if there are occasions where we're out and they dont get to bed on time etc thats not a problem)! but tho it was incredibly hard at 1st, seeing how close they both are-always playing together, looking out for each other etc we'e glad and wouldnt change anything for the world.
Yesterday we ended up (happily) looking after a friends 2 children for a little bit, its amazing how if anyone had said a couple of years ago 'can you look after this 1/2 aswell' as my own i would have run a mile, i know it wasnt for long, but i actually didnt really notice the difference going from 2-4 kids-surely thats a good thing?!
a few of you have mentioned christmas-its amazing how quickly it comes around! but what amazing christmas news we could all be getting!!!!
wow, ive just realised how much i've rabbited on, sorry Hmm

Came on to reply to arrabella about age gaps but you have said exactly what I was going to broody! Ours are 21 months apart and definitely a handful to start with but so so nice to see them play together now.

Wondered about a similar age gap this time, but there was no way. Aiming for ds2 to be around 27 months if it all goes to plan, and so hopefully will be a little easier this time.

I found the biggest change though was when ds1 started nursery in august - suddenly getting the 2.5 hours with ds2 alone made such a difference, and really made me want 3 agAin.

broodywantcoilout · 18/11/2010 21:22

yes! dd has started school, seeing how sweet ds is when she's not around is amazing, as he's not had a lot of time alone with me/us.
its amazing seeing how many other ppl have such similar experiences, yet while things r happening (especially the low times) u feel so alone and like you're the only one its happening 2!

The last couple of months we've tried to be as normal as possible and just see what happens but it will all go from next week in our quest for a Sept baby.

Hope it's a lucky month for us all.

Hi All
I've just left the August bus. TTC#1. Stopped using contraceptive last October but didn't start trying "properly" until March, so I don't know if this counts as attempt 13 or 9 - either figure is a bit depressing. UCL 32 days.
Fingers crossed this is our month!
Good luck to all.

broodywantcoilout · 21/11/2010 19:44

13 or 9 months must feel like forever. tho many ppl take up 2 2 years (not that you will of course, lets make december a gr8 month!). everyones different, just try 2 relax and dont let the fun leave the bedroom!

Hi to lemon and level. What are you doing for your date lemon? Want to vicariously enjoy other peoples ability to go out and have fun, given that nights out are very few and far between as we have a bit of a lack of babysitters here.

Level - sorry to hear it's taking longer than you hoped. Are you doing temperatures or anything?

conkertree · 21/11/2010 21:20

By the way broody, was your 3 year old an august baby, cause I remember a broody on the due in august 07 thread?

BabsH · 22/11/2010 07:04

conkertree - I've been using clear blue fertility monitor since April. It shows all the highs and peaks that it should and my cycle is pretty regular. Hopefully it's just been bad luck so far and nothing else.

Afternoon ladies - I'm ready to board the bus! I joined the ditherers (is that what it's called? I can't find it now!) thread a couple of weeks ago, but have now got over my dithering and have decided to go for it.
DH and I decided on saturday that the end of next year would be a good time, so fingers crossed for this month. We already have a DS, so TTC #2 now. I'll be ovulating around the end of next week, (not doing temps and charts yet, that all seems a bit scary and Confused so think I'll just play it by ear for a couple of months.
Best of luck to everyone for a fab Christmas pressie, in the form of a BFP!! Smile

Arabella36 · 22/11/2010 13:39

Have just been calculating that my next 2 ovulation dates are Dec 8th and Jan 5th. (So AF would be due either Dec 22nd or Jan 19th, to answer Broody's question.) I hadn't realized I could be potentially pregnant so soon in December so I'm wondering if I should aim for Jan 5th instead. Mainly because this would be better work-wise.

In which case that would mean I'd have to wait for a different bus, is that right? That's a pity as I've been enjoying following all your stories!

BabsH · 22/11/2010 15:06

Afternoon Arabella

I guess if you are sure that you will get BFP in January then you could wait for or start a January bus, but will it make such a lot of difference if you get pregnant a month early?

Hope that doesnt sound too argumentative? Isnt meant to :o
