I've started a new thread!

OP posts:
Diege · 13/11/2010 09:08

Excellent news Gum Grin. It's looking very good - I knew those symptoms meant someting Smile
Italian great to hear from you - I love reading your posts.
Well not great news here. Have started bleeding this morning - first reaction to be honest was relief as last night had been to-ing and fro-ing between medical management for miscarriage or surgical (yes, I was that sure). My boobs lost their last vestige of soreness last night, and I knew it wasn't to be so I do feel ok (well, you know...). Just hope I can keep it togther for dd2's birthday party today.
Anyway, on a practical note does anyone know what I should expect? 6 wks today so assuming just like a heavy period? Very clotty at moment (sorry tmi!) - presume best to use pads not tampons? A bit Confused as only had the one mc before (mmc at 10wks) and that was managed with an erpc.
Hope everyone else is ok Smile. Also, not sure if you'll know but would I need anti-d at 6 weeks? (I'm rhesus neg). Thank-you x

randomimposter · 13/11/2010 10:03

Oh arse - hate these mixed posts. Where to start...?

diege my darling, am so sorry to read your post. Am assuming you're sure this is it. Ref Anti-D, am Rh- too, and from memory, you don't need anti-D if you MC naturally before 12 weeks (but you do if you have ERPC). Yes pads, not tampons. Impossible to say for sure, but at 6 weeks probably a heavy clotty period. Get some high strength ibuprofen ready maybe just in case. Feel for you - in some ways having something to focus you today probably a good thing (not to say you won't need your grieving time in the days/weeks to come). Massive squeeze for you today.

Gum what a lovely birthday present - you must be beside yourself. LOTS of positive vibes headed down under. xx

Tank sneaky BFP mentioned there or am I mis-reading you? If so congrats to you too - how pg are you?

wave to everyone - DS grumbling about something - must go xx

Diege · 13/11/2010 10:40

Thanks Jolls Smile. Useful advice - fine at present; no pain at all but have taken some pain killers as a precaution. Thinking ahead already which is probably a bit odd but helps in a way - assuming as it was so early we can start trying again without a wait? I'm sure I will come crashing down to earth soon, but other than feeling a bit tearful at the moment just feel numb really.

Still smiling about your bfp Gum - will you be going on your weekend now d'you think?

Italiangreyhound · 13/11/2010 12:11

Diege so sorry, I had a missed miscarriage and when it finally did all 'happen' it was a lot of blood and shocked me, my best guess for me was that I was only about a month or maybe two but I can't say exactly, it was one of those weird ones where I was not sure I was pregnant. Anyway, I bled a lot and people had said it was like an ordinary period and it was not. BUT having said that it may be different for you so I just wanted to warn you. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

Italiangreyhound · 13/11/2010 12:12

Gum great news, well done. Big hug to you. Grin

Italiangreyhound · 13/11/2010 12:13

Tank how goes it my dear, you have not run over a gnome or ruined a wall in days, are you going soft in your old age??? Wink

Italiangreyhound · 13/11/2010 12:14

Off to do a sponsored walk this weekend, feeling ill. If anyone is sending up any arrow prayers, please send one up for me that I don't collapse on my walk!

Sorry can't name check but all but jolls, hippy and the rest of you, you all know who you are! HUGS. Wink

hippychick66 · 13/11/2010 12:18

diege So sorry to hear this matey. I lost a bean at 7 weeks and unlike italian there was not a lot of blood. It was just like a heavy period. I did have cramps but nothing paracetamol couldn't cope with. Having said that they did say they could only see a small sac so the bean could have been more like 5 weeks - IYSWIM. I didn't find it as stressful as the later loss but then I had been expecting it (as have you). sending lots of love to you.

gum on the flip side. congrats to you. Early days I know so will only whisper it. But you had a good load of symptoms, so try to keep positive. Enjoy the choccie-day.

tank congrats to you too.

Hi to everyone else. Had a filling at dentist this morning so am feeling numb on one side of face. Waiting for it to come back so i can have a nice cuppa.

XXX

hippychick66 · 13/11/2010 12:23

italian just read back and thought - wow she has exotic food in her house!

Mwah mwah = air kisses Grin

TankGiirl · 13/11/2010 12:46

Diege I am so sorry. That is such shit news (Catches Diege off guard and gives her a sneaky hug whilst no one is looking {{{{ Diege }}}} )

I don't want Italian to think I have gone soft. I have not - just got better at manuoevering the tank in the snug carpark, that's all. Besides, I have to take it easy now that I am shhh... (y'know that p word).

Gum wonderful, wonderful news xx

muchlove · 13/11/2010 13:13

OH NO DIEGE.....I am so so sorry I really am .... its all so fu*king shit.... I know you felt the loss of symptoms and all but its so bloody sad... I was at the same stage as you now back in June... as has been said by Jolls and Hippy it will be like a heavy period and hopefully you will not have to have any medical interference though hard the natural route is the best route....my bleeding lasted about 4/5 days and then had spotting for about 4 days, no dont use tampons use towels (you will need heavy duty ones) and will prob have to change frequently ... I am so sorry again honey

xx

muchlove · 13/11/2010 13:17

GUM Great news for you ... early days I know but CONGRATS take it easy and sticky vibes to your bean xx

spottysox · 13/11/2010 13:21

Diege so sorry to hear your news, I've had a couple of early MC and they weren't physically too bad. Hope DDs party goes ok.

tank and Gum Congrats to you both, is there room on the worry bench for me?

IGH I like reading your posts, you seem a very sensible lady

Sorry there's lots of down feeling on here at the moment, I blame it on the weather.

Hugs to all that need one and hello to everyone else

Spotty

Diege · 13/11/2010 13:35

Thank you everyone. It really helps to know that some of you (most?) have been through the same. Bleeding getting a lot heavier now and just hoping a night time always ultra will see me through the Build a Bear party Hmm
Spotty are congrats in order then??? Grin

gumblossom · 13/11/2010 13:53

Oh Deige, I'm so sorry to hear that you are miscarrying.

Congratulations Tank, how far along?

Italiangreyhound · 13/11/2010 13:56

Tank fabulouso news (said in a soft whisper) if anyone deserves this my dear, you do. May it all be peaceful, uneventful and fruitful. Grin

Spotty Congratulations (is it also said in a soft voice?) AND what a lovely thing to say, I am sure my wider family do not view me as wise at all, more bossy, but luckily here people are looking for advice! Grin

Hippy poor you, hope your face will recover soon. I am lost without my tea, I virtually take it intravenously! Wink

Smiles and waves to you all, no I have not gone off on my walk yet, we were going to do some fun things on the way but DD has been ill, I am feeling rough and we think it is safer that we save ourselves for tomorrow's walk, off to stay at sis's house tonight as walk is near her house tomorrow. I can't believe DH thought I might like a walk today when I have a long walk tomorrow!!! Men! Still if you threw in the dog I might be tempted, I am such an animal lover these days!

Confused why that is /midlife crisis!

blessings and hugs, Grin

hippychick66 · 13/11/2010 16:16

spotty are you preggers too?

what has happened on this thread - well lots of shagging obviously!

Great news from those with BFP's. May the next 8 weeks fly by and your 12 week scans go well.

diege sorry you're having to do a party at this time Sad.

AlbaDeTamble · 13/11/2010 18:03

Gosh, mixed posts indeed, where to start...

Whispered congrats to Gum, hoping all is well and you have a sticky one there... Also I think amongst the crypticness to Tank and Spotty

Diege I'm so sorry, I was where you are at the end of March... A week earlier and despite knowing from loss of symptoms and no more line on an hpt it was still a numb sad feeling when the bleeding started. It was no more than a normal period for me, but every week that goes by makes a big difference. I hope it's not too painful for you. And yes, you can try again straight away. I did and fell pregnant. So far so good, so try to think positive if you can. You and Hippy can still be bump buddies, really soon Wink.

Congrats on your little girl ILGH! Looking forward to hearing similarly lovely news from Kiwi

Big waves to Jolls and Lia

TankGiirl · 13/11/2010 19:46

I'm 6 +3 courtesy of Muchlove advocating the emsp.

Spotty plenty of room on the worry bench - though I am eating copious amounts of chocolate so am taking up more than my fair share.

Diege if it's any consolation, I had a chemical last month, and someone or other said to me that it was a good sign for getting the system going, so fingers x for next month. How have you managed today, with the party and all?

Hippy any symptons?

40someMum · 13/11/2010 21:24

Gum wonderful news i am so pleased you were not wrong with all the symptom spotting - I always am and am only pg when i think i am really NOT!

Tank good news I am so delighted - i am thinking the bench sounds a little hard so may make a cushion pad in velvet to warm it for the winter months in the hope more of us progress that way!....

Diege so sorry x You are a real star carrying on when things are tough ! Hope the party went well

Things are looking up for me tonight with a general feeling of exhaustion and pain and spotting so finger crossed my body is doing this instead of doctors

Love to all x

muchlove · 13/11/2010 21:41

Soooo TANK I was of some help then with my emsp then eh Wink.....glad it worked for you whispering 'congrats to ya' and the same for you spotty ....

Hope you are ok DIEGE I am thinking of you and hope you are bearing up x

ITALIAN Good luck with your 'walk' 2moro hope the weather is good for you - you are a great 'agony aunt' round here....and a great morale booster too x

HEY HIPPY hope you ok girlie have just put in a request for us to the 'powers that be' a cupla BFPs please (the kind that stick around) .......

Right now I would sell my soul to the 'Devil' to play fairygodmother and grant all our wishes come 'TRUE' I really would....its been a tough time for us all one way or another and I think we deserve/need a bit of 'good fortune' in our lives now.....

love to all xx

BeattieBow · 13/11/2010 22:19

diege I'm so sorry. How shit. Sad Hope things do get moving for you quicklly and you are through the worst of it physically soon. Well done on doing a party too.

40somemum sorry you're going through this too, but also, hope things do happen naturally for you.

gumm woohoo! v excited for you.

tankgirl and spotty a second woohoo! Blimey alot of people on the bench - hope there's room for me and Hippy soon Smile.

Anyone else got a sneaky bfp they need to tell us about, or symptoms they need to share??

I'm 6dpo I think. Going ok. Still a way away from thinking about testing obsessively. Not holding my breath though this month - I'm not sure I dtd at the right time. I can't remember who asked, but yes I'm on the agnus castus now. I had a scan last week and it showed a thick womb lining and I ov'ed early this month, so perhaps it is working after all. Now just need that elusive bfp to come alon.

OP posts:
gumblossom · 13/11/2010 22:30

Nice to see a few bfp's here.

How are you feeling Deige and 40somemum?

Tank and spotty, are you having any symptoms?

I'm planning an early ultrasound by telling a fib. I'll tell my gp I have no idea of dates so he'll send me for a dating scan. I think I'll aim for about 8 weeks (all going well).

Just wanted to add that I used pre-seed this month. I don't know if it made the difference because I used it last month too? I also drank fresh grapefruit juice. But who knows.I'm guess it was just the right egg, but it's so early, it might not be. I have a good feeling, but don't want to be too optimistic.

Ladies I realize that this thread is not a pregnancy thread, so please tell me if I'm being insensitive by talking about it?

I don't think I can go to a preg thread til I've made it to 12 weeks.

hippychick66 · 14/11/2010 18:17

gum it's not insensitive at all. Many of us have shared our BFP's on this thread and felt reluctant to venture over to the other side. I completely understand you not wanting to go to the preg threads just yet.

Stick here for now honey. We'll hold your hand. Grin Keep positive.

diege Thinking of you matey. XXX

BB yes we will get on that bench together and keep a space for diege to join us asap.

Love to all.

xxx

tank I have even managed some SWITI this month. Did you do any before your BFP?

galwaygal · 14/11/2010 18:21

Diege - Sad

Gum, Tank, Spotty - Grin

Me - Confused
