I've started a new thread!

OP posts:
TankGiirl · 08/11/2010 13:24

Am thinking that Lunaticfringe will be concerned to find herself a grad, considering she's only about 16 weeks preggers...

I think Diege has some company on that bench Grin

Jolls I once went to a party in Seven Dials - does that help Blush

hippychick66 · 08/11/2010 14:06

jolls sorry the bitch has arrived (((-))). You don't take long to get up-duffed so i'm sure you'll be there again soon (with a sticky one this time).

tankgirl I think lunaticfringe is a grad in the respect that she is well and truelly up the duff and after her 12 week scan.

diege How are you doing,Mrs?

gum bless you, lovie. How great that you did all that research for us. Yes it is encouraging - now go and do some house work Grin.

Tel1 You can't move to slanket stage until after you've ov'd. So get back in your vest top!!! You sound like me. I got preg in Dec 09 and lost it in Feb 10. I also have quite short cycles - which also gives me more tries per year Smile.

As for me. CD11 today. I think i ov'd last night but will do one more today as per lia's instructions Grin. So looks like a short cycle again for me. Still less time until i find out if I'm preggers or get another go at it.

tank Interesting that you used the snug credit card and mentioned cushions..... Hmm

louisesh · 08/11/2010 14:12

Hi all I d like to join you if thats ok via a lovely invitation from JOLLS.

Im 39, 40 on 1st Dec.Had 3 MCS over the last 2 years [1MMC in Oct 08,1MC in Sept 09 and a CP in Dec 09] then to top it all our gorgeous daughter Georgie [Georgina] was stillborn at 41 weeks, 2 days on 10 Oct , weighing 7 lb,12 oz.

My pregnancy absolutely fine monitored and cared for very well by the medical staff.Scanned 2 weekly up to 13 weeks.on twice weekly pregnanyl. On aspirin as prescribed by gyn consultant. We had . had a load of blood tests earlier in the year , been seen at the recurrent MC clinic and all our results were nad.Georgie went for a pm we are just awaiting a consultants appt re all our results.

Georgie was totally fine up to 41 weeks, heard her lovely strong HB, had 2 sweeps and 18 hrs later no HB?????Why???

We accept we may never find the reasons why our Georgie died.

Got my period now , which i guess, in a way is good as it means my body is physically recovering. We are ttc asap....been having sex in the last week all that has been fine .My Dh is desperate to try again [we have no children] and says hes learnt a lot from Georgie and having Georgie has made him even more desperate to go on to have a child.I ve started counselling [had it before after the MCs]. we have attended a local support group.I have looked at the SANDS website may contact them at some point.

Just looking for some hand holding AGAIN as we embark upon this road AGAIN1!!! Feel like our life is 4 steps foreward and 20 steps behind.I m no further foreward than i was 2 years ago.

louisesh · 08/11/2010 14:14

"behind" i mean backwards!!!!

hippychick66 · 08/11/2010 14:22

louise Hi and welcome. I read about your sad loss on the grads thread (I like to keep a check just in-case I ever get back there again). Words cannot say how sorry I am. I don't know you but I must admit I was really upset when i read your news - it just seemed so bloody unfair. I hope you get some answers eventually.

Anyway, moving on to you joining us here. Yes I think we'll let you join even though you are incredibly young Envy.

We are a nice bunch on here, as jolls has probably said. I'm sure you'll soon work out what we're all on about. Just so you know - a slanket is a blanket with sleeves and we are slightly obsessed about them on here.

When you get your next BFP there is also a great thread in pregnancy about being preg after a stillbirth. Our matey lunaticfringe is on there and it seems to be a great supporting thread. Still until then you can hang out here, chuck! Smile

Diege · 08/11/2010 15:04

Hello! Welcome Louise - as Hippy says I'm sure you'll like your time here (I was 39 and a bit when I joined..) I was also aware of stillbirth of your darling Geogie Sad and an in awe of your strength over the last few weeks. We can offer lots of hand-holding here, plus links to slankets and the odd Friday night snug bistro when I remember (and anyone remembers to place an order Wink)
Hippy sounds like your work is almost done for this month - wow that seems to have happened quickly! I'm ok thanks - a little nausea this morning, so hopefully the sickness will follow the normal 6 week start (as I had with dd2) and not the sledge hammer of vomitting from 4 wks to 16 with the others!
Tel I was also confused about your slanket ref when swi - no wearing alloowed until AFTER the deed has been done!! That's unless you wear one during it?? Shock
Right, back to work e-mails..

tel1 · 08/11/2010 15:37

sorry, vest and shorts back on.....

Hello Louise - welcome - I'm new too.... so very sorry when I read your story... I can't imagine what it must be like... fingers crossed as you start trying again!!

been to the gyno, and as usual you wait for this appointment just to be told you need to go on a waiting list. 'Something' was on the scan, either a scar, some retained products, or the endrometrisis (?) back again.... now on waiting list for laproscopy and the other one which begins with 'h' - my spelling isn't great...
still SWI in the vain hope something happens

hippychick66 · 08/11/2010 16:03

Yes diege my work is almost done. It was all rather quick this month.(If you know what i mean).

Thank god I started SWI on day 9. The last couple of months I've got pos on OPK's on day 11 and day 12 but this month it's moved forward 2 days Shock.

I wonder how Sassy is doing these days??? I hope she's still reading and knows your news diege.

Sorry to hear about the laproscapy tel1 I've had a few cos of my endometriosis. Blimey the things we women go through!

Diege · 08/11/2010 16:25

That sounds tough Tel - are you given any indication of waiting time? Good luck with SWI - don't envy you the vest and pants combo in this weather Shock
Hippy I know exactly what you mean about quick Wink The best way I think, then you have time for programmes Blush I wouldn't worry too much about changing ov times (if indeed you are). Mine varied (last 4 mths) from cd 12, to cd 8, then cd 15, and this mth cd 16/17. That's why I think opks and temping helped a bit, although I'd run out of the former this month as started testing cd 8..
I'm plucking up the courage to ring gps to find out the score with midwife etc.. To be honest, my mw is very passive aggressive and makes quite personal comments about family size etc...for some reason I am nervous about her knowing about no.5. She was quite hurtful about numbers 3 and 4!.I should get a grip I know - I keep her in a job ffs!! Grin

Italiangreyhound · 08/11/2010 16:27

Tank welcome. Yes, those were my gnomes but no worries, I?ll forgive you and I've got more! Guns, not a fan but then again take a look at this wow

Tel welcome. Good luck on the waiting list, waiting is a bummer.

louisesh welcome, so sorry to hear your sad news.

Hi to all the old regulars, and by old I mean ?familiar- NOT ?not-young?!

Well, went to doc today to say that I had not has a period for over 3 months. I said 'I've done three pregnancy tests and they were not positive so I'm not pregnant." To which he replied something like 'Ah, good.' To which I replied, 'No, not good, we?ve been trying to get pregnant for years!' He explained he was used to talking to teenagers who reported lack of period and were pleased not to be pregnant! How funny that the news of a pregnancy/lack of pregnancy can be greeted with such delight by some or sadness by others. Apparently after 40 it is not considered unusual/notable not to have a period. Doc pointed out that after all our treatment there was nothing usual about me so that was flattering in a weird kind of way! Anyway, I was feeling sick and dizzy today so it was all a bit odd. Doc has scheduled in a blood test and I will be scanned internally. I always feel a bit odd about a first internal scan after they found a tiny embryo on one scan, years ago (which I was not expecting to see). I must admit as it has been about 10 months since I last saw my insides so I am almost (sadly) looking forward to it.

Love to all.

tel1 · 08/11/2010 17:06

well its thermal vest and shorts, and probably socks as well...

they gave no indication of waiting list times... though my scan and this appointment came through a lot quicker under this council (tun wells) than it did via Bromley 5 years ago...

kinda hope that if the has to be a problem it is endrometriosis, and not damaged uterus lining, as once I had the tubes cleared last time, I fell preg straight away (although I was 35 then)-

italiangrey - hope your dates come through quickly... have you tried angus castus. It helped my light AF get longer and heavier and has calmed my hormonal swings down

louisesh · 08/11/2010 18:41

Thanks, i will fit in nicely as too have a slanket!!! My mum bought me one a few days after having Georgie as my DH is a tight wad and whinges about the heating being on all the times and at times i was very cold!!!

Thanks HIPPY long time since i ve been called young!!!!

DIEGE is it congrats? xx

Thanks ITALIANGREYHOUND and TEL1 for your welcomes XX

lia66 · 08/11/2010 19:00

Hi all,

louise welcome, I'm sorry you have had to come back to these threads, I've followed your story and sadly there are lots of times when noone finds out what went wrong. I think of you and little Georgie and I think you are incredible brave. x

Yes I am/was Liahgen, just shortened it a bit. Preggers at 21wks with baby girl. I'll attempt to update, (apologies in advance if I get it wrong)

I suffered with endemetriosis for years, fortunately for me my 1st pg seemed to get rid of it, (16 yrs ago)

Congrats on your girlie lia Grin 21 weeks - ohh I'm soo Envy. Can't remember being more than 11 Sad.

Well the troops are in place and I feel very much like I am/have ovulated. I will probably do one more in a couple of days just incase I'm wrong about oving. (gotta do what the doula says!) That's lia by the way.

I read news of ILGH on her anti natal thread and have been waiting to let her come on and tell you all herself - but she is obviously too busy - can't think what she's doing. Anyway, all went well and she has her baby girl. If you want to be nosey have a look on the due in 10/10 anti natal thread.

louise you have a slanket in RL - you really will fit in here. I'm buying one for my DS2 who is 7 and just loves to be wrapped in a blanket.

Big wave to jolls and diege.

gum nearly time for you to get up, lovey!

galwaygal · 08/11/2010 20:08

Sorry for not keeping up here recently, I will be staying AWOL for a bit longer as I am trying the "not obsessing" route, but I am about 4dpo and confused as my body feels like it is more 10dpo (impossible), but my boobs are huge and my nausea palpable, my temp higher than normal, therefore either my progesterone must be extra high this month or I am getting ill! Hope it is the former.

Sorry to be all me me, but will come back in due course to update myself. Galway exits the snug leaving a crate of beer, a few bottles of white, and some sparkling water.

louisesh · 08/11/2010 20:59

LIA yeh congrats XXX

Yes, its totally shit what happened.Sometimes i feel like the last 10 months has been a dream and i ve never been pg.I feel so odd as no pg to show but no baby to show either its really, really horrible.Back and forth, back and forth but still 2 years on back to the beginning.

Back to ttc as soon as this periods finished hopefully in 3-4 days.

TankGiirl · 08/11/2010 21:54

Louise - what a totally crap time you've had. All you can do is keep going. You are being very brave. Keep strong.

(throws Louise one of GG's beers) Alcohol is very under-rated I feel.

Have you considered the EMSp? (Egg Meets Sperm Plan)?

GG fingers and toes crossed for you.

Hippy glad you have the troops in place - but you might as well throw in one for luck..

Italian hope the test go ok - how's the dieting and the general beautification process towards being a fabulous pg 45 year old next Summer xx

BeattieBow · 08/11/2010 22:05

Hi all. also on the cusp of ov (according to CBFM either yesterday, today or tomorrow). Failing to do the deed so far today. aaargh. hate the pressure. anyway, watching Spooks now.

I'm really sorry about Georgie Louise, and sorry you're here. I can't imagine what you're going through.

Jolls sorry about rtd.

gum gg fingers crossed for you this month (and me too of course).

Hello Tankgiirl hope you are ok. Are you swi/trying? did the EMSp work for you?

OP posts:
louisesh · 08/11/2010 22:07

Not heard of the EMSP...How does this work? Thanks very much i d love a beer!!! , just had a large glass of red!!! xx

louisesh · 08/11/2010 22:13

Duh!!! Oh yes i do know that plan just looked it up and vaguely regonise it from 2 years ago!!! Will go back and re-read it.

40someMum · 08/11/2010 22:51

welcome louise and so sorry about Georgie.

Just realised i am due to be scanned on thurs at a hospital 40 minutes away at 10am . My neighbour is having her 20 week scan at the same hospital at 9.40

should i change appointment or just brave it?

( my scan is not good news)

Diege · 09/11/2010 09:48

Morning Smile. I think I would keep my appointment 40some. It might be that she (your neighbour) may have gone in for the scan anyway by the time you arrive, but if not, might it not be obvious you're there for a pregnancy related scan anyway? (if that would be the issue). I know in our hospital there are one or 2 pregnant women, but also elderly people, children etc waiting to be scanned for a variety of problems. Hoping you're ok x
Louise, yes, tentative congrats in order for me, but very early days (5 weeks)so not getting too excited just yet. Still, pleased to at least have a bfp of course!
Hope everyone is well - must get on and do some work!

spottysox · 09/11/2010 10:25

40some Would you get a new scanning appointment soonish or would you have more waiting, I'd probably phone and see if they have any spaces, if not keep the original appointment. The waiting is the worst bit I think Sad Hugs

Louisesh Sorry to hear of your loss, lots of hands to hold here.

Gum did you mention a mountain of symptoms, what are they(nosey) I've got none, not enough swi was done will be very very suprised if this is my month. So hope it is yours Smile

Lia66 congrats, a little girlGrin is that 3 of each now?

BB hope spooks got you in the mood. So So know what you mean about pressure.

Tank keep that tank a rockin' SMEP sounds good in theory but way too much work for my old bloke, can your mutant roo manage it??

Hippy good to hear your troops are ready to advance.

louisesh · 09/11/2010 10:40

Thanks Spottysox and 40somemum.FX for you Diege another milestone passed.[bfp]

At the moment it all seems too much for me AGAIN.My DH is very positive, thank god, as i m not.On one hand at times seems totally achievable on the other hand all i can see are hurdles and lots of them.Keep trying to keep in mind ; 1 step at a time but am so pi**ed off to be in this position agin that we have to go through all this again.Just waiting for my MW , last visit, before she discharges me.My dh on AL today so think we ll go for a walk after shes been.Need to see her to find out my plan for next time.Saying next time like it will definately happen, but hope is all we ve got at the moment.

Hope everyone s well and has a good day XXX
