Grin Thank you so much everyone Grin Hopefully my bfp represents the turn of fortunes for the snug.
Of to bed now, and thank god I don't have to take my bleedin' temp anymore!!!

hippychick66 · 03/11/2010 22:47

Wow - this thread had dropped down to the bottom of my 'I am on' list - so i just casually scrolled down and went ShockShockShockShockShockShockShockShockShock (yes jolls control V.)

diege I am so happy for you. I thought it had to be a BFP but didn't want to be too confident about it just incase. You lucky girl Envy. Right, i am so gonna catch you up and get up-duffed this month then we will be only 4 weeks apart.

So pleased for you and DH, matey Grin

gumblossom · 03/11/2010 23:16

Deige!!!!CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!!I just knew it. I am soooo sooo happy for you! Try to relax and enjoy.

Oh - and any hints and tips....did you do anything remotely different this time? Are you taking anything (supplements?)Please do tell, I want so much to join you in a couple of weeks.I'm going to read back over the thread to find out how you did it! How long have you been ttc?

I never really got a blaringly positive OPK this time, but know I Oed because I've had the temp rise this morning. So, now I wait...

Please don't leave us too soon - I shall miss youSmile

Italiangreyhound · 04/11/2010 00:31

Diege WWWWWWWOOOOOOOWWWWW Grin fab news. Now, what is the secret and will you be holed up in your slanket for the next 9 months. You could be the first to give birth in a slanket!
Wink fab news.

Diege · 04/11/2010 09:28

Grin Oh yes, slanket is already surgically attached Italian Grin
Gum the only thing I did remotely different this last month was that I had started taking an extra does of folic acid (so an extra 400mg in addition to the 400mg in my posh Marilyn Glenville supplements. My opks ran out while I was still getting negs on them, so just carried on SWI until I got a temp rise. I also did one extra swi on the day I got the rise as I had EWM on that day. Then I stopped! Have been taking agnus castus for 4/5 mths (this is my 8 month of ttcing)and my LP did slowly lengthen out from 9 days to 12 for the last cycle. Who knows if that did the trick?
Still quietly worrying about why I didn't get a pos on a 10 iu test at 11 days post ov if my 'spotting' ay 3dop was indeed implantation, but got a quick bfp on a 25 iu at 17 days Confused. Anyway, what will be will be - obsessing about timing and lines won't change anything Grin
Is it ok if I stay on this thread for a while? (not sure what the etiquette is Blush)After my mmc I've not really liked to venture onto the pregnancy threads until I have a succesful scan. Hopefully by the time I leave/am kicked off, there will be a good few of us ready to make the transition!
I need a big effort from you now Hippy for this coming month!!! (and everyone else too, natch!!).

Diege · 04/11/2010 09:29

To clairify, I've never done more than every other day swi-ing!

hippychick66 · 04/11/2010 11:50

The spotting you had could have been when you ov'd. Bleeding at ovulation time is a sign you are super furtile.

Don't worry about not getting a pos at 11 days post ov. 1) You don't know exactly when you ov'd and 2) IT'S TOO EARLY!!!!!

Snuggle into your slanket, try to relax and YES, of course stay with us.

I will try very hard to join you, matey.

xxx

AlbaDeTamble · 04/11/2010 12:15

Diege huge congratulations, lovely news Grin. Fingers crossed for you that you avoid the HG this time...

As for etiquette about sticking around here, I'm definitely breaking it Blush

If you want a lovely pregnancy thread, try here. Jolls, TFLS and Hippy will I'm sure all agree it's a lovely place. Everyone's been through the mill with losses, so a huge amount of support, understanding and hand holding, and also lots of happy stuff too. Though it's a bit quiet there today...

Any baby news yet from ILGH and Kiwi? I'm thinking of you both, if you're popping in and reading here.

I'm now crossing my fingers for a run of positive news here!

Diege · 04/11/2010 13:56

Thanks Hippy! Yes, I think you might be right re: ov as the 'spotting' was also 'within' ewm. This would mean that I ovualted 1 or 2 days after the last SWI, but then I suppose that's possible too. Thank goodness I carried on when ff said I had just ovualted. I've been at the stage (this morning) when I thought I'd get a load more ebay cheapy tests and torment myself with lines, but then came to my sense sharpish. I mean, what could I do anyway at this stage?Right, enough obsessing!!!!
Alba I'll have a peek at then link, thanks Smile. I have been very worried about getting hg again, and even now am starting to feel a little quesey after eating and have the metallic taste back which may well harald the start of it. I fear I will have to go onto meds straight away if it happens again. I left it too long last time and in the end the lining of my osophegus (sp?) was starting to come away (lots of blood etc coming up - not fun).
Oh and yes Hippy also watching The Little House - shades of my MIL there, esp the voice Grin

galwaygal · 04/11/2010 16:31

Diege GrinGrinGrinGrin so happy for you, (typing this in work so can't do as many grins as everyone else Wink.

Will catch up later with everyone else if I get a chance. mmmwwahhh

spottysox · 04/11/2010 17:34

Well done Mr and Mrs Diege GrinGrin, hope the hg doesn't kick in, and you sail through the next 9 months yayyyyyyGrin

In the Spotty household I seem to have ov'd 5days earlier than normal so I think I've missed this month. FF hasn't yet given me a day yet but I've had two really high temps the last couple of days and ewcm last weekend. We did have a SWOI but maybe it was WI afterall but I don't have much hope Hmm
Dh was talking about gearing up for a shagfest this weekend but it's too late Sad
Oh well... Can I ask a very personal question as Diege cracked it with every other day SWI, can all your DHs manage every other day from AF to O. I don't think mine could hence missing the vital day.

So whose at the top of the list now for a BFP?

Gum you and me seem to be cycle buddiesSmile can we 2ww together Smile

Diege · 04/11/2010 18:45

Thanks GG Grin. Spotty no way can dh manage every other day from af to ov. Well, he'll say he can but I can sense serious flagging when it's the 3rd day (of every other day). So we tend to start when I get a pos opk then continue until temp raise. That's the 'ideal' but often life/tiredness etc gets in the way. This month we only swi twice at the 'right' time, so timing more important than sticking to every other day. Listen to me talking like an expert now Blush Grin Oh and poor dh suggested a SWOI today Shockthe cheek. When I declined he looked quite forlorn and said 'that's it now then isn't it' Grin.

hippychick66 · 04/11/2010 21:19

My DH was trying to work out if I would be ovulating or AFing at xmas so he would know if he was gonna get a christmas shag!!!!!

We don't do every other day from AF to ov either. We usually start when i get EW or if we don't get organised and start then, we defo start when i get a pos on OPK. We then do every other day(or sometimes every day) until after I think i've ov'd. We've been doing a one for luck one after I think I've Ov'd as well.

I'm glad spotty and gum are cycle buddies - it's nice to have that.

i had one of those but she went and got up-duffed Shock - cheek! BB Shall we be cycle buddies now? - i think we're close.

EWCM started today so should have started SWI but we are both too knackered. He is watching TV and I'm nattering to you. I'll do an OPK tommorrow just to keep on top of things. (Turn up the heating love... it's nearly vest time!)

Curlylox · 04/11/2010 22:05

Congratulations Diege woohoo a BFP at last.....let's hope this is the start of a hat trick Grin

BeattieBow · 05/11/2010 06:55

diege huge congratulations!! Really pleased for you . Grin Grin

There's hope for us all.

spotty my dh struggles like yours. We often only manage once in the fertile window, but trying more thismonth - have appealed to his mean side - we are paying for tests etc but spending that money will be a waste if we don't swi.

Anyway am on cd10 now. Does that make us buddies hippy ? I'm not near ov yet though which generally is around day 19 for me. Another appointment at clinic today for follicle testing. Slightly concerned about degree of exposure that will be required on my part Smile

Too hard to type on Ipad

OP posts:
hippychick66 · 05/11/2010 10:14

BB good luck for today. Please do tell us what is involved with follicle testing when you get back.

I am on day 8 - so about 5 days away from ovulation. So am maybe about 4 days ahead of you IYSWIM. So that makes us close enough I'd say. Lets hope we can follow in diege's footsteps.

diege I hope you are ok and not feeling too sick yet.

Love to all.

Diege · 05/11/2010 12:51

You look after hippy for me BB! though I don't think I'll be far away!
THe sickness hit last night Smile Sad and nauseous this morning too. Then I did something really stupid and took my temp which recorded a slight dip (from 36.86 to 36.75) Confused Coverline 35.44 si still well above. Why I did it I do not know, but now of course I wish I hadn't...I'm aware that a significant drop can indicate impending mc, but not sure what 'significant' is. Should I carry on temping, or leave well alone?? Confused. Jez, if I get to 40 weeks without a heart attcack it will be a miracle!
Hippy get the heating on love, that EWM is looking good!

hippychick66 · 05/11/2010 13:15

diege What will be will be and panicking about a SMALL temp drop will not change a thing. I KNOW it's so easy for me to say that from my un-duffed position and I know that WHEN I get my BFP this month you'll be reminding me of all this Grin. But for now, lovey please try to relax and STOP temping. Right that's her told.....

I intend to begin SWI today (day 8) and will keep going every day or every other until about day 16. In other words... wish me luck girls - I'm going in Shock.

Ps. BB Hope the follicle checking is going ok.

pps. To anyone who might be reading this but not posting, who is a bit sassy - hello there, Mrs.

BeattieBow · 05/11/2010 13:38

STOP taking your temps now Diege - throw that thermometer away!!!!

I am going to get a BFP too this month HIppy I've decided.

Follicle testing was a non starter actually. I went in, had a scan (internal) which was very informative - I am either about to ovulate, or I have a cyst, but either way my womb lining is good (woohoo!). But then the sonographer decided that I should have come in on day 2 of the cycle and then would be scanned pretty much every other day , so in fact I need to come back next month to start again. I have told dh that I need to get up-duffed this month, both to save the money, and also to save the palaver that every other day scanning will cause. i can't imagine what I would tell my work about all of this!!. Anyway, scan was interesting, and I was glad to see womb lining ok. Will now have to swi just in case I'm ovulating early.

Who is next for testing? Spotty and Gum?

OP posts:
hippychick66 · 05/11/2010 13:42

Yay BB forget the cyst thing - they always say that just in-case. Hopefully you are soon going to ovulate and so am I. Tell your DH that he has to go for it over the next few days.

We've been in-sync before cos your little one was due 21/8 and mine was due 30/8. Let's hope we can do it again but with sticky ones! Grin

diege stop getting jealous of us being in sync - you're up-duffed you wally! Grin

ps. jolls Not long 'til your darling Wagner!

tel1 · 05/11/2010 13:50

Hi guy's, can I join in?

41, ttc#3 for over a year, MC in Jan. Previously had to have my tubes cleared for 1st one, but fell straight after op, and then fell for DS easily, and for the one I lost... but nothing since.
had the day 3 and day 21 blood tests and GP didn't say anything was up. Had a scan, which said ovaries ok, but lining a bit thin. Been taking agnus castus and bromelain, which I think has made me feel less like a bundle of hormones (my body loves to mimic being preg). Been using ovulation sticks, and then doing the deed accordingly, but from the sounds of the above we should be trying right at the start of the cycle. I'm currently on day 4.
feeling down about the whole thing, surrounded by babies and preg women.
got my 1st NHS gyno appointment on Monday, to see what they can do for me....
please say that I'm not asking for the impossible of wanting another baby.....

Diege · 05/11/2010 13:58

Thanks girls, the voice(s) of reason as always Grin. Tbh, if it's not to be, I'd far rather know in the next week or so than have the anxiety of a mmc at 10 weeks like before. I am seeing the sickness and even sorer (sp?) boobs as a posiitve thing though.
Welcome tel1 Smile You will find lots of support and laughs along the way here!
