I've started a new thread!

OP posts:
Diege · 25/10/2010 21:13

Your ds must have the slanket gene Hippy Grin
ILGH best of luck and look forward to hearing your news Smile
Off to bed now - have a stinking cold and feeling generally unimpressed with the whole ttc lark. Will be better in a day or two I'm sure

galwaygal · 25/10/2010 21:40

ILGH - oh how exciting with it all being so soon, look forward to hearing how it all goes.

Lunatic - good to hear it is all going well for you, do keep us posted.

Well as so many hear are in the horrible 2ww, I am pleased to be on cd2 and relaxing with baggy pants and a bottle of wine!

I have just been away on a retreat weekend with a whole load of church folks, it was great. But there was a three month old cute cute baby there, and a heavily preggo lady. The weird thing was I was continually thinking, oh thank goodness I have not got the sleepless nights to contend with and dribbly baby to mind for the weekend, and then: phew what a relief to be able to go to bed and actually sleep, unlike the poor preggo woman with heartburn and all the rest of it....... got me thinking, do I really really want another pregnancy and baby??????? Rhetorical question to which I am not sure I know the answer Confused

PS love the new names we were given!

Italiangreyhound · 25/10/2010 22:53

Galwaygirl the retreat sounds nice, I used to go on those a long time ago, what type of church is it?

ILoveGregoryHouse All the best. Grin

Hippy are you buying your DS a slanket or would that be too weird! Confused

Just FYI I have found this story following on from some discussion on the assisted conception thread.

www.timesonline.co.uk/tol/news/article1049620.ece

and this site

www.miscarriageclinic.co.uk/index.html

It is fascinating. I can?t recommend any of it because I don?t know, just sharing it as it may be of interest, or look on the thread for more info at here

Anyone am I mad - I have got raging eggs whites but no period, is that possible?

Feeling weird because I went to see a friend with a dog and a 6-week-old baby and guess what, I was more interested in the dog! Am I losing the plot!

gumblossom · 26/10/2010 00:56

ILGH, lovely to hear from you. So exciting- soon you'll have your little girl in your arms.

Nothing to report here. My girls are having the day off so we can shop for their dad's birthday present (actual birthday tomorrow). So I'm looking forward to having a bit of help with my T.T (terrible toddler).

So, must have strong cup of tea and prepare for hours of shopping.

I think I'd prefer to go to a yoga class, but these things must be done.[hgrin]

hippychick66 · 26/10/2010 11:55

GG & italian - pull yourselves together, Look in to my eyes and repeat - you do want a baby, you do want a baby! There is a lot of general apathy around here with people saying they're not sure they can continue with TTC - I WILL NOT be the only loony on here!! (actually i think I've said that I might stop previously but we wont count that Grin)

diege buck up matey, AF not even due yet.

gum enjoy the shopping and just keep murmering "Ommmmm" to yourself, you'll believe you're at Yoga.

italian I think it is only a matter of time before you come on here and announce that you have indeed bought a puppy! Egg whites tend to mean 2 things - either you are about to ovulate or you are about to have a period (EW is the first thing to come away). So you may be about to ovulate (get shagging) or you may be about to find your missing periods - Yay. keep us informed.

ILGH WOW, how fast do other people's pergnancies go? I wish you all the vesry best with the labour - am actually Envy that you will soon be giving birth - WTF am I on about???

Am i buying DS a slanket?? Well I can imagine one of those blankets with his tatty little head (he has lots of hair) sticking out of the top - ahhh. He does love to be cosy (for example: in the winter he likes to get into his PJ's as soon as he gets home from school Smile).

spottysox · 26/10/2010 13:46

Hello, mad half term here. Trying to get stuff ready to ebay and send to charity shop so that we have some room at christmas, but every toy I put in the box gets taken out and played with (probably for the first time in months) as it their bestest toy so cannot go. Hmm I could do it when they are not about but DH still remembers when his evil mother gave away his toys when he was young. What do I do??

Diege only once have I felt PG before BFP, that was with DC1. It's really not over 'till AF is late.

Hippy buy a double slanket then you can both snuggle up together. When is testing time, it must be soon??

gum enjoy the shops

gg hope you get your answer soon.

40some hope you're doing ok.

Dh hasn't mentioned skipping this month again so I'm keeping quiet and hoping he wasn't serious. A while yet though so.....

hippychick66 · 26/10/2010 17:08

spotty can you just be very vague about when ovulation time is ? like say you've already ov'd and then accept his advances? What do you think? too sneaky???

I totally get what you say about the toys that are going to the charity shop - they become so fabulous don't they?

Testing for me will be this week-end. Boobs feeling big and calling me - but I AM NOT LISTENING!!!Grin

Doctors later to get results of 3rd thyroid test. She is sooo thorough.

Love to all.

jolls ((()))) Haven't heard from you for a while.

Diege · 26/10/2010 17:33

Hello! Harm term chaos here too, not helped by the rain that hasn't stopped all day. Have reluctantly baked halloween cookies with dds for party on Thurs that we've been invited to (always causes tempers to raise Blush as they fight over the licking of the spoons etc.. Away in Cardiff with work tomorrow and Thurs, so just counting the hrs Wink
Hippy I meant to say that yes, they are indeed my boobs you're feeling, and a test at the weekend is totally warranted Grin
Spotty I agree that saying that ov has just passed is a good strategy Grin. YOu could even produce a opk run under the tap so no line at all, complete with resigned expression...but then get all frisky and say he's not just a spunk monkey (in the words of The Peep Show). Was that too rude? BlushGum* hope the shoping wasn't too arduous - I think I'd prefer yoga too and I'm a shopaholic by nature.
Still grumpy about the so called implantation bleed Hmm. I mean I never asked for a 'sign', wasn;t using opks and wasn't going to test early either. Anyway, just hoping LP can eek out another few days!

Italiangreyhound · 26/10/2010 20:10

No news but egg whites all over the place and still want to get a pet!

If I take a break chaps you can always email me, I'm my name here, my imaginary age 39 plus at yahoo dot co dot uk

Love to all

40someMum · 26/10/2010 21:32

aaargh! I am reading all the posts and empathising with you all honestly...

Just in some hideous limbo

feel free to message me if curiosity gets to you Grin sadly not much smiling going on here!

Italiangreyhound · 26/10/2010 22:47

40somemum sorry if it is tough at the moment. What's going on for you? Hope it will be better soon.

Spotty get him to make a game of getting rid of stuff and imagine the fun some lovely kid will have playing with his old toys and the fun your ds will have with his new toys after Christmas.

I always feel sad as I had hoped for another so feel that maybe that toy could have been for another little Greyhound baby but there you go.

Not given up hope yet!

Rowing thinking of you, sweetie. By the way, I stroked a cat yesterday and liked it! Sounds like some weird confession! Maybe a pet cat could be the answer, no baby, no dog, just a moggie!

Hippy Good luck this month.

Jolly how goes it.

ILGH Good luck.

Alba, jolly, muchlove, diege, Galwaygirl and Gum - thinking of you all. Grin

Love to all.

Chocolate boobs to all Biscuit Biscuit as we say on the assisted conception thread.

Italiangreyhound · 26/10/2010 22:49

Lunaticfringe give my regards to Sassy

gumblossom · 27/10/2010 02:26

Morning all. Shopping trip was actually very quick and easy.Everything fell into place and DH loved all his presents this morning.

My LO is hassling me to go out in the car, so I will drive him down to the beach (should walk, but sprained ankle still sore) and he can run off some energy while I watch!

My house is looking so cluttered and messy despite my best efforts. Just seem to get side tracked all the time. My LO is not very good at independent play - and when he does he usually makes a big mess.

Can't for Hippy and Deige to test. And what is going on 40somemum?

Despite my ambivalence Hippy, and my never-ending exhaustion, I still want one last little one -and I believe it is possible, it just gets a bit wearing month after negative month. Most of us have proven fertility in the past, I think our age might make the journey more difficult, but NOT impossible...

So Italian, what's up with the egg whites? I hope you are getting some SWI, just in case???[hsmile]

Beattiebow · 27/10/2010 09:55

hello all. I'm out this month and feeling rather pissed off by the whole thing. felt down for the last couple of days, but resigned now.

on the plus side my period is back to normal, so heavy and cramps. (I can't help being a p0lly-anna about this Wink)

Oh and my blood tests were ok too - fmh and lh ok, and strangely, even though I hadn't thought I had ov'ed at the time, my progesterone levels were ok too. So I am wondering whether I am ovulating earlier than I think I am? what do you think?

I wonder whether I need to actually speak to a fertility specialist who can make sense of these things for me. I am going to give the progesterone a miss next month though, it just delays the inevitable ime.

fingers crossed for Hippy and Diege! c'mon you need to test now to make me feel better.

40somemum can you tell us what is happening?

gum glad the party went well - I went to a 50th at the weekend too. it was good. But I paid the price on Sunday (up at 6 with ds2 and rather worse for wear)
spotty good luck this month! I am in the same boat. Dh has said again he will really try this month. He has said he wants to know when ov is and concentrate his efforts then, but I'm not sure that is the right approach.

Italian maybe get some swi in just in case?

hello to everyone else!

randomimposter · 27/10/2010 10:42

Hi all.
Sorry have been a bit down as the halloween emoticons remind me I've been on here a year with no prize... apart from getting to know all you lot of course [hgrin].

Day 12 in the Jollster house, and think I might have oved on day 10, and there had been no SWI in time.... grr. BB, sorry you're out, I think early ov a definite possibilty, how long are your cycles? Good news on all the positive results; the Ag0ra was ok... she is uber professional and matter of fact; am booked in for some blood tests next week and then the scan and ovarian reserves blood on my next day 2. And then review the situation.... she said as I'm getting pregnant so easily there is no need to consider AC at the mo. I also chased the EPU at RSCH, my tests are still 2 weeks plus from being back.

Anyway should go and distract DS from CBeebies. To be fair, we've hardly had any TV time of late, lots of days out enjoying the super weather, so maybe today as it's frankly quite shite we can have a TV/home day.... besides DS has worn a hole in the toe on his welly on his scooter braking foot... GrinHmmConfused. The other foot hardly worn... do you think I could buy a left foot only....?

hippychick66 · 27/10/2010 10:42

OMG - italian said to spotty -

Spotty get him to make a game of getting rid of stuff and imagine the fun some lovely kid will have playing with his old .....

Up until this point I genuinly thought she was talking about how to get spotty's hubbie to give her some of his sperm Shock Sorry, i know I always bring the whole tone down but I was quite shocked and then I suddenly went - ahhhh I see, we're talking about a child and his toys!!!!

Feeling crap here, stinking cold, huge spot on forehead - I just need AF to arrive to make the hat-trick!!!

Based on the last couple of cycles she's not due for a few days yet though so nothing to report at the moment.

hippychick66 · 27/10/2010 10:46

jolls sorry x posts.

Yes, I know what you mean. I think I joined around this time last year and I found the halloween emotion-whatsists a bit upsetting too. It's shite isn't it!

LOL at your little one wearing out one boot.

Big hugs to you ((()))) Enjoy your day in. I'm off to see Despicable Me soon (in 3D - wow how times have changed).

BB I've ov'd as early as day 8 before and think it could be a possibility for you. Do you use OPK's every month???

Beattiebow · 27/10/2010 13:09

I've been using a cbfm for a few months, and consistently get peaks on that. They tie in with all of the other signs - ewcm, horniness, leering over strange men etc. the temp rise on ff typically shows a few days later though. Have just looked back at the cycle I had the progesterone test on, and it said i had ewcm on days 16=17, day 17 was the peak on the cbfm, but temp rise happened on day 21, making ov day 20. I had the progesterone test on day 19 (which said I had already ov'ed), so perhaps I do ov on day 17, but the temp rise takes a few days to come through - I think that somewhere TCOYF says this might be a possibility. Do you think it sounds right?

(sorry a bit of an essay about my temps etc. It's all about ME ME ME!).

And to continue on the theme, I now have been wondering if it is the progesterone that is responsible for my period being ok, (and therefore my womb lining being thick) and if this is the case, maybe I should continue. I hate it though!

Sorry you're feeling crap jollster, we're having a cbeebies day too, although I've managed to make a game out of tidying bedrooms today, which is a bonus. Kids out in the mudbath garden now.

diege any news? I can't believe you've not re-tested!

OP posts:
lia66 · 27/10/2010 13:14

Hi ladies,

Just popping on to check up on you all.

Fingers crossed for hippy diege it's not over till the red lady sings. Come on, British spirit and all that, (or something)

We are heading up north today to see my niece and her family, will see my dad too who I haven't seen all year, so that'll be nice.

Ds2 (7) and dd2 (5)at hip hop rehearsals at the moment, they have competitions on Sunday so am a bit excitied about that, it's first comp for both of them, nopt expecting them to win anything but looking forward to watching and no doubt I will cry. [hgrin]

Hi to everyone else, jolls it'll happen chick, themonth I fell eventually was the month I got a shit result on my fsh ans just thought, Oh bollox to it.

galwaygal · 27/10/2010 16:58

BB - I think that you are getting delayed temp rises, I think you should go with the EWCM time day 16/7 for last month for you, I get my opk positives on the day or day after (yes after!) I ov. Not sure why. So it does look like you are ov-ing slightly earlier than you thought. As for the "normal"! af, it could just have been heavier because it was delayed by the progesterone? I personally don't like taking the progesterone, and if your levels were normal, then there is not really a reason to take it is there???? Do you know what the number was, or did they just say that you had ov'd according to progesterone level?

Lia - hi, and enjoy your children dancing comp.

jolls - I think you need to find another child of the same age, who has the opposite braking foot, to buy a pair of wellies between them Grin

well going to go now to go swimming. I am working on the excercise to counteract, my failure at dieting properly Confused

Beattiebow · 27/10/2010 19:13

I will phone the drs tomorrow gg and find out what the actual results were.

Can I ask what AMH is? Should/would I have had that test too?

OP posts:
hippychick66 · 27/10/2010 22:44

BB I don't know exactly what AMH is, but it is a better way of seeing how the land lies than FSH - I think Confused. GG will know. Grin

I agree that you could well be taking a while for the temp shift to show up and could be oving earlier than you think - so you are just gonna have to start SWI a bit earlier - sorry!!!

GG - LOL @ the shared wellies. [hsmile]

No AF here yet. Boobs feel odd but have also had a couple of cramps that have made me go - ohh bugger is that AF?

Still too early to say what's going on, will I crack and test before Sunday???? [hhmm]

Italiangreyhound · 27/10/2010 22:58

Hippy shocked!!! Shock

Italiangreyhound · 27/10/2010 23:00

Hippy I mean your comments about toys!!!!

40someMum · 27/10/2010 23:02
