I've started a new thread!

OP posts:
40someMum · 21/10/2010 23:30

galway no such luck just not dark and no symptoms
same old same old

Italiangreyhound · 21/10/2010 23:55

Hippy No, you are not the bike, I could have said boat or car, anything you pay a deposit for!
Diege thanks for the info. I have been to the Marilyn Glenville clinic and bough t and taken some posh (read expensive!) tables.

Diege/Anyone!!!! Does agnus castus lower libido, because mine does feel lowered and I have been taking it ....but then again with no period there is no real ?green-light? time to do it!
Sorry I can?t join in your shagging/tissue/sperm jokes but my libido is so lowered I am not even sure I can spell it! (see post above!).

I had circuit training at Rosemary Conley, we had three groups, about 10 activities for each and we ran from one group to another doing all the activities for a minute! For the first time in my life I am enjoying exercise. Took a friend's dog for a walk tonight and my legs felt like lead but I still managed to run for short bursts of time!

I had a doctor?s appointment and talked about my bloating. I am drinking Pukka tea like mad, it is so yummy, the best is with fennel it is called Detox and comes in a blue box, the box looks like a tampax box the individual sachets look like panty liners! But the tea is fab.

My results came back from the tests and no problems at all with immunology etc! So hooray.

Love to Gum, BB, GG, Diege* 40somemum and all.

galwaygal · 22/10/2010 11:05

Italian and 40some - sorry to hear you are both in a missing af time. I know you are each knowing where you are, but each time I read it, I keep thinking of my mum and my sister who never got positive tests when pregnant with one of theirs, they both just missed af and eventually (sis at 4 months with scan, and mum at 3 months with visual exam of cervix) had their pregnancies confirmed despite negative tests continually. I am not saying this is the case with either of you, just that it came to mind when reading what each of you has written. I hope both of you get your af soon to stop having the stress of waiting. Thinking of you.

Meanwhile, I am absolutely sure of my af turning up in a few days time, yippy, I am not pregnant for another month, I think finally my hyper-fertility is over. I just hope that that means that I am passed recurrent miscarriages, I know that sounds like wierd logic but hey, if I can't be weird here, where can I be Grin!!!!

Diege · 22/10/2010 16:19

Hi GG, agree, the snug is a haven for weirdos Wink Sounding that things might be getting back on track - I was actually reading something about hyperfertility on another thread - a mixed blessing as you say.
Italian, no my libido didn't reduce, and from my googling it doesn't seem to be an issue at all with AC.Starting to obsess, against my better judgement, about the possibility of being pregnant Blush. I am determined not to test that early this month, so help me to be strong!
Right, it's bistro night again in the snug so I need your orders ladies.
I'm having: vegetable curry with rice and a garlic naan. Maybe a creme brulee for pudding just to mix it up. Anyone else have an order?

galwaygal · 22/10/2010 20:32

Diege - please can I join in the with veggie curry, sounds fab. But can I have lemon cheesecake for pud? Or if that is too tough then just lemon sorbet with do the job. Thanks.

And Diege - don't test too early.....

Italian - the circuit training sounds good, I wish there was a rosemary conolly group near me, I would be tempted to join.

With me PMT is raging nicely, so a glass of red to go with the curry I hope will help.

Diege · 22/10/2010 23:26

Lemon cheesecake's fine GG - I'll share it with you Smile
Right, kitchen's closed so see you all tomorrow x

gumblossom · 23/10/2010 01:10

Morning ladies. I've been very busy, getting everything organized for DH's 50th party (tonight). It's a simple affair - we're going to a neighboring seaside town to stay in a large house with 14 others - sleeping over so no one will have to drive. I should be glad that I'll be able to have a drink(seeing as I'm not preggers). I won't be drinking much anyway as I still have to get up early with Charlie.

So this week I've been making curries and chocolate cakes.

Italian, I've not heard of vitex lowering libido. If you haven't had AF for a while, it is probably likely that the hormonal fluctuations will cause the lack of libido. Have you considered taking Red Clover? It will help with estrogen imbalance, which may be causing your lack of ovulation. I took red clover tablets before I got pregnant with Charlie - it helped with libido. Also, my acupuncturist is always asking how the libido is - then she tweaks me to help if I need it.

Deige, are you having some symptoms? How long do you think you'll hold out for testing?

I'd better run - still much to do. Willbe back tomorrow or Monday and tell you all about the party! I'll have a champagne and toast my MN buddies![hgrin]

Diege · 23/10/2010 12:33

Hello Smile. Party for dh sound great Gum. I'm sure it will be a roaring success and go on long into the small hours. Enjoy the champagne Envy
Well, I'll throw caution to the wind and admit that I do seem to have quite a few symptoms that I recognise from my pregnancies (successful and not). First the (albeit early) spotting, then the very tingly sore boobs. Today metallic taste in mouth and very fatigued after doing anything that involves exertion. Also lots of creamy/thick EWM that I don't usually have post=ov. I know I'm setting myself up for a fall, but am not going to test anytime soon as I know if I do get a faint line I'll enter the 'is it getting darker' limbo. I am away with a friend in London next weekend so if af doesn't show by then (due Thurs/Fri) I'll test on the Monday.
Hope everyone is ok. It's just me, ds and dd3 today as dh away with the older dds. Have done the playbarn and shops, so settling in for an afternoon of tv (pouring down here) . Will pop back later x Smile

Beattiebow · 23/10/2010 16:19

ooh diege sounds very promising.

I know how you feel about not testing. I am around 8-10dpo and really want to test. Have overrode ff to put me at 8dpo. I am quite worried that I had a few drinks last night and am going out again tonight (also to a 50th birthday gum). oh well. don't have willpower to not drink on the very small chance I am pg.

When is the earliest that we can start testing? I am going to obsessively test this month I have decided - i normally wait until around 15dpo.

Jolls how did your appointment go? I am going to make one to see her I think, although you have scared me a bit!

hippy are you tempted to test? I might go for it tomorrow (9-11dpo).

galway glad you are back to normal. HOpefully next month will be a good one for you.

Italian Rosemary Conley sounds fab. Maybe I'll investigate to see if theres a class near me. I've fallen off the weightwatchers wagon big time.

spotty hope you have managed to get through to your dh. fwiw my dh has alot of the same issues, making it a very stressful time all round.

muchlove · 23/10/2010 16:42

Afternoon all

DIEGE ooooh that all sounds promising .... well done on the 'not testing' early you are very strong....really hope it's the start of a healthy BFP for you ....god knows we need some good results round these parts....

ITALIAN I took Red Clover last year when I first started trying but I took it in the tea form as this was suppose to be the most beneficial way to take it... just google red clover tea and there should be plenty to choose from... the best way is to pour the boiling water over the leaves then leave for 4hours or overnight (in a canister) then drink throughout the day ....mine came with a mint flavour so was really delicious.... I havent taken any other herbs as I don't want to interfere with my cycle as it seems to work (for now) okayish......

Hope everybody else is doing ok xx

40Somemum sorry you suffered a chemical they are crap take a coupla days off and be kind to yourself x

Moi ..... well I have been extremely busy the past week and this weekend so its keeping my mind occupied but I am only on day 7 of cycle so not much to think about right now though I seem to have EWs already so maybe gonna be an early ovulation for me this month just hope DH is up for the challenge (he getting stage fright latelyConfused !!! Fucking great that's all I need......

xx

Grin at Alba's posts. I did actually ave a peek at that thread and was reminded of how it is in those heady days pre and post birth
muchlove I know what you mean about dh and stage fright (my dh that is Grin). I have started to totally bluff where I am up to in my cycle, but I'm sure he has started to suss things out. Has mentioned 'egg whites' and asked about my temps, but I am safe for now as he thinks EWM is something that happens after ov Confused
BB I am also about 7/8 days post ov so couldvery easily go upstaurs now and pee on one of my vast supply of ultra-sensitive e-bay cheapies. But then I think I'd rather af than another chemical, so any bfp at this stage would just freak me out anyway. I have decided I will test on the 1st Nov when I will be about 3 days late, and no earlier!
Right, off to get ready for x-factor and to drool over my Simon. I don't think he would get stage fright Grin

LunaticFringe Hi, good to hear sassy is OK. Are you friends in real life? I've just been reading her blog. Please send her our love if you do know her in rl.

Michael Macintyre is talking about a snuggie, which sounds like a slanket!!

muchlove can you remember the 'brand' name for the red clover. Rowing were there some problems with red clover? Did it make your period disappear or longer??? My period has totally utterly gone missing. I did a test today and again BFN. So I'm now convinced!

Beattiebow I am sorry you have fallen off the wagon. I must confess I have fallen off the wagon and I am now being dragged behind the wagon eating buns! All I can say is that it is so easy to fall down on this. I think the fewer things you have around the house the better. Too many temptations will push us all off the wagon! Good luck.

Diege good luck for testing, all the best.

Gum enjoy the party and I will look into red clover. Any side effects? Dr Gum do you recommend the red clover tablets or the tea?

Galwaygal I bet most gyms would have a standard keep fit class, similar to Rosemary Conley.

Love to all Grin

Diege · 24/10/2010 10:49

Morning Smile. Good to hear from you Lunaticfringe, plus to hear that Sassy hasn't forgotten us! Am presuming that you know each other in 'rl' or on fb?
Italian I am another 'off the wagoner' Blush. I have everything in the house for healthy slimming world recipes, but give in to the biscuit tin far too often. You're absolutely rght, the trick is not to have the rubbish in the house in the first place, but if I don't have a bar of choc in the fridge I feel quite unsettled Blush
Well, I am now sure I am not pregnant Sad. I haven't tested but boobs no longer (as) sore and temps dipped a little this morning. Well above coverline, but I seem to have lost my optimism and am sure af is on its way. Maybe I should test to confirm so that I can wallow properly? Confused
Hope everyone is well - so cold here!

Italiangreyhound · 24/10/2010 12:38

Diege so sorry. It is a bit crap isn't it. Sad

muchlove · 24/10/2010 14:54

Hey Italian ..... The company is called Organic Nutrition and the website is the the above name then .co.uk and the product is Organic Red Clover & Peppermint now from what I have heard it's an oestrogen linked product that women use in the menopause so it must boost oestrogen ???? I used it for about 3months then fell preggo (I have read that the tea is better and more beneficial) but then again I really liked the taste so it was a win win situation for me.
DIEGE aah don't be down yet you are still early doors but I do understand that intuitive gut feeling you get at certain days past ......it's really weird how we can read our bodys now but during our prime fertile years we didn't have a clue !! I never use to even test until about 6/7 weeks stage......now I can feel OV recognise the EWCM turn into a bitch just before AF ..........

Diege · 24/10/2010 17:37

Thanks guys Smile. I know, it is early days (7 days post-ov) but you're right muchlove about the pesky 'intuitive' feeling about just not being pregnant. Yesterday, my intuition told me yes, but now I'm just counting the days down till af - maybe precipitated by drop in temps (though only from 36.77 to 36.71 (coverline 36.44) so hardly massive. Have also tested in my nothing to lose mind frame and clear bfn, no hint of a line. Not sure what the spotting was a few days ago, but not implantation bleed I'm guessing if bfn today!
I think next month I'm either doing no charting/temping/testing, or going full out obsessive and testing daily from 6 days post-ov to avoid hav9ng any false hopes to dash...
Sorry for 'me' post - just helps to get it all out!

hippychick66 · 24/10/2010 18:31

diege a test at 7 days post ov will tell you NOTHING, NOTHING I tell you. The poor little one wouldn't even have had a chance to start producing HGH yet.

I know what you mean about thinking you know you are or you know you are not. But it is very early to be giving up on this cycle.

Anyway, I am like 99% sure that i am gonna get preg this month and I need you as a bump buddy so pull your bloody socks up and stop panicing Mrs!!!!! [hgrin]

Actually, i am hopeful about this cycle but only cos my boobs are calling to me but I have been fooled by these darn things before so am sticking my fingers in my ears and ignoring them. I am anywhere between 7 - 9 days post ov - so wont test for a while yet.

Sorry not to name check but i have had a busy week-end and today i have a sore throat and a banging head so just can't think straight. Lots of love to all of you whoever you are..... I can't remember your names but I think it's something like - jilly, Corkgirl, frenchbulldog, Nolove, 20somemum, stripeytights, chewinggum, battybonce, loopyhaircut, and my bezzie mate geide

xxx

Diege · 24/10/2010 21:38

geide here Hmm Grin. FWIW Hippy I think of you as Hipster and have had to correct before pressing the post button several times (think there's some confusion in my mind with Jollster; I also get muchlove and 40some confused with each other Confused).
I know, I know 7 days post-ov is a rubbish time to start obsessing. I'm like an alcoholic at a free bar though - now I've sarted testing that's it, they'll be no stopping me and will test every morning till af Blush. I was so strong yesterday and now I'm a raging poas addict Blush
Your boobs sound/feel hopeful anyway - I will look out for any weird grabby sensations WinkIt would be so good to be bump buddies Grin
Right, night all - half term tomorrow (juggling working from home alongside taking all 3 dds and dd2's friend to cinema tomorrow Hmm.

gumblossom · 25/10/2010 00:34

Deige, it really is early days. Hang in there, you can't know for sure til AF shows. I know what you mean about intuition, but it isn't infallible.

I hope you and Hippy can be bump buddies, and I'll tag along next month, ok?

Well, DH's 50th was a great success, but we both felt knackered yesterday! And I didn't even stay up very late or drink much! I think my exhaustion was due to the big lead up beforehand, and all the organizing and running around. Glad it's done, but we still have the "family" lunch to do on Saturday.Luckily I only have to turn up to the resturant, and eat nice food!

I suppose I should be getting psyched up about the SWI time that's nearly here. I'm feeling a bit blase, but that will change once the opk starts looking positive...

Diege · 25/10/2010 09:26

Morning Smile Sounds a great party Gum, and the forthcoming meal sounds good too. Do you get a chance to actually eat anything with your 5 (it is 5 isn't it?) or is it a case of making sure they eat/don't kill each other/crawl under the table while your food goes cold, as it is with me? Grin
You're right, it is early days but I'm sure this month isn't to be. I've been thrown off too by the spotting and ff's certainty that I ovulated when I did. I must get some more opks as they ran out this month at the crucial time.
Half-term hell joy here. Hope everyone's well!

hippychick66 · 25/10/2010 19:41

OMG - my 7 year old has just seen an advert for Snuggies and has asked if he can have one for Xmas. He knows nothing of the whole 'slanket thing'. Weird huh. xx

ILoveGregoryHouse · 25/10/2010 19:49

Hi. Thought I'd pop in to say hello. Am 39+2 and just waiting for dd to make an appearance. Everything ready and she has a bigger wardrobe than me already.

Wishing you all well. Hope to have news soon.
