I think he'll carry on trying if that's what I want I just really don't want to explain to him as it might stresss him more.

IGH I do try to keep him in the dark aabout timings etc but he's very clued up on iit all and can probably tell by me being nice to him and wearing matching underwear.

Hippy I suspect he has done it when he's tired and already 'performed' for a day or 2 at what he thinks is the right time but hasn't got the energy to 'complete'
He doesn't tend to do 'quickies' iykwim so wears himself out. And this is usually at the ov but as I don't tell him when ov is as to not give him performance anxiety he doesn't know this. Oh it's all so complicated.

Has anyone tried or does anyone know anything about herbs in relation to fertility, please?

I'm thinking of black cohash, false unicorn horn, nettle leaves, primrose oil, red clover, red raspberry leaves, caste tree berry and wild yam. I'm assuing Caste Tree berry is Agnus Castus, is that right?

Italian, yes agnus castus is indeed the chasteberry (they used to give it to monks to reduce their libido ). Marilyhn Glenville does a posh AC tablet which also has some of the other herbs you mention in it (black cohash I think).
Phew, glad it's not just me and the smell Hippy - thought I might have been 'oversharing' there for a minute, though I know there's really no such thing .
So FF says I ovulated on Sunday, yipee! So 3 days post ov, very exciting

I think i am 3 or 4 days post ov but I will say 3 so we can be buddies.

I cannot stop thinking about the still birth on the grads thread. Gosh, it really has shocked me. Of course we all know it happens but to see someone posting - not long to go now etc and then see them come on and say the baby's heart has stopped beating just brings it home how bloody fragile the whole thing is. I have to confess it nearly scared me off trying.

How is everyone else? jolls??? BB??? GG??? You can all come back now we've stopped talking about the smell of sperm!

ps. am suprised that we are recommended to take a herb that reduces libido - blimey isn't TTC hard enough

I'm fine thanks hippy. on around 6-8 days post ov. getting cramps today so of course thinking it is implantation! (or early period maybe).

Might test tomorrow as I'm meant to be going out on boozy night. But I know (logically) that the test will be meaningless whether it's positive or negative.

40somemum sorry you're feeling rubbish. Are you waiting for a period to turn up after a mc? Sorry hadn't realised you had gone through this this week. I got my period on about day40 last month after a cp/early mc. so didn't have to wait too long. I think after my mc in Feb it was around 5 weeks too.

I didn't realise agnus castus repressed the libido. Blimey! I took it for the first time this month

BB I agree testing that early will tell you nothing - but I know that if you get the urge - you'll do it anyway! [hgrin]

Hello! I have to say the agnus didn't make my libido (already pretty low I'd say) drop any further. Maybe it's just something that has that effect on men? .
40some are you saying that you are geting faint positives that don't get darker? If so, would it be worth trying another brand? I can understand your reticience about scans etc that place you in limbo. PLease correct me if I've misunderstood x
Hippy I am 4 days post-ov today too . I have been havinbg some cramping, and also had a streak of pinkish blood in my CM, followed on next obsessive toilet trip by some brownish cm. Similar to implantation bleed with ds, but of course a week earlier So now thinking maybe it's linked to an ovulation bleed? Anyway, lots to obsess and torment myself with.
Looking forward to your testing BB . You never know, you may get the faintest of lines now if you are pregnant.
I like the 'sniff the tissue' test...ie, are you a die-hard romantic or a 'sniff the tissue' sort of gal?

no I don't think it affected my level of friskiness at all

what is the earliest implantation can occur? is there any chance you got your ovulation day wrong Diege?

Mine is confusing this month too. I had more ewcm (with blood in) a couple of days after FF said I ovulated. I have no bloody idea when I ov'ed now! will go from the latest possible day though which means I am having cramping on 6dpo. Not sure how that fits in though.

That does sound like implantation but agree it is a bit early. Perhaps you just have a very keen embryo. On the symtom spotting front - my boobs are at it again. Feeling very tender - I KNOW it is too early to mean anything, i think it's just the progesterone kicking in.

Power cut in the middle of the night. DS1 woke up to find himself in total darkness and was scared. Ended up with us all in the one bed - ahh nice idea, but not a good way to get a good nights sleep.

Just applied for DS1's place at senior school for next september but am hoping hoping hoping he will be going to the school in IOW instead!

FF does seem to get confused at times. I think you're right to go for the last possible date. Saves you testing way way too early.

Just been doing a bit of nosing around and for those of you who remember her - ILGH is due on 30/10. Hope she pops back to tell us her news.

Well, after extensive googling, it seems that an implantation bleed could take place at 3/4 days post ov, but is unlikely. Now, looking at ff the earliest I could have ovulated and conceived would be last saturday, so bleed 5 days post-ov which would just tip over into a more 'normal' implantation bleed. I was just struck over how similar it was to the bleed I had with ds (never had it with dds).
BB could your cm blood be early implantation do you think?
Hippy let's be positive about the boobs thing; yes it may be the prog kicking in, but then you'd expect the same feeling if pregnant too. Can you imagine if we were both pregnant this month? .

I am younger than you by a year but have stopped at times it is hard, but I have been in a slightly different situation with recurrent m/c's (over the last 2 years) so stopping to give my body and head a rest.

Igh have read loads about herbs, suppliments etc but am a bit scared of mucking up what I have (reg ov reg cycle) I am taking extra folic acid as this doesn't seem to have any side affects think I might start taking zinc as well.

Evening Spotty, you will def smell the sperm, no doubt about it. Get tissue sniffing! Good luck for vest time,oh and wouldn't bother with fertility supplements such as agnus castus if your cycle is regular. I've hard that it can actually delay ovulation in those cases.
