I've started a new thread!

OP posts:
hippychick66 · 18/10/2010 12:26

Sassy has posted about MN on her blog -

sassy's page

I've posted a message but it has to be checked out before it will appear.

Hippy looks smug cos she's never added a link before!!! Grin

Diege · 18/10/2010 13:12

Hi Hippy Smile. DD3 was a lightweight and only managed 30 mins of x-factor. She woke up several times in the night, wailing because she could see my feet sticking out of the bed (my feet are always hot in bed, freezing at other times)/there was a shadow in the room/the cars were too noisey Biscuit. I did enjoy x-factor, though it does seem a lot longer a show than in the past Hmm. Oh and I think we might be egg buddies Grin. If my temps go up again tomorrow and weds I will consider that I ovulated yesterday Grin. Thanks for Sassy's link too x

hippychick66 · 18/10/2010 13:36

egg buddies is great diege. They can become embryo buddies and then baby buddies Grin. I'm not temping at the moment so don't know for defo when I ov'd but am going by the OPK, pains and experience Hmm

LOL at your feet sticking out of the bed making your DD wail. How old is she???

Diege · 18/10/2010 14:07

Egg-cellant! Grin Now, I am temping, but have run out of opks at the crucial time Angry. I still feel quite 'ovulatory' in that I'm having weird cramps and pulling sensations (which could of course be my one day old embryo implanting Wink)but if tomorrow's temps are up too I'm assuming ovulation has happened.
Dd3 is hard work. She's 4, 5 in Nov, has a wicked sense of humour but the tantrum stage has come to her late (age 4 onwards) and she delights in putting on public performances complete with ear piercing shrieks. Better than dd2's vomiting on demand in Morrisons's though Blush. Remind me why I want another? Confused.
I meant to say too how heartbreaking that thread about the stillborn baby was Sad. I was on the same thread (title) a few years back, and it's always so sad to see the pain that some people go through esp wth recurrent m/c. I am so very glad I just have my dds tantrums to deal with!

hippychick66 · 18/10/2010 16:28

diege I am so eggs-cited - I want us to be bump buddies sooooo much!!!Grin

Anyone else joining us????????

Diege · 18/10/2010 16:31

Egg-actly my sentiment!!! Grin I'm not holding out much hope for me though; it's the whole lack of egg whites that's concerning me, give or take the odd glob or two (sorry Blush)...I've tried the grapefruit juice this month but am predicting the pre-seed for next if nothing happens this month

hippychick66 · 18/10/2010 16:44

I have heard you should drink lots of water as well. Did you have egg whites when you conceived the others???

I don't want to sound like I'm showing off (showing off about my cervical mucus there's something I thought i'd NEVER do) but I had loads again this month. It's what made me think I was gonna have to make up with his lordship Grin.

Still i had loads last month and I think the month before so that means nothing really.

My cycles do seem to be getting much more text book now (27 days and oving about day 14) so much better than the one which lasted 20 days and i ov'd on day 8!!!

diege you are my egg-stra bezzie mate today! Sorry jolls - love you too. xx

Diege · 18/10/2010 16:49

Arghhh!! I can't think of any more egg jokes now Grin, egg-cept to say that I have serious mucous envy (SME)Grin Not to be confused with the other SME of course. Yes, I had copious amounts with the dds and ds, but I should say that I drink very little water, indeed very little fluid. Two cups of decaff tea and a decaf coffee a day, that's it Blush. Though I have added a cup of grapefruit juice with my vits. Not really enough though is it?

hippychick66 · 18/10/2010 16:58

egg-sactly diege - it is not enough. Get some water down your neck next month. (Hopefully you'll be all duff-ed up by then and wont need that advice Grin). x

Diege · 18/10/2010 18:04

Yes, you're right. The yoke's on me, I must drink more! Grin

40someMum · 18/10/2010 18:57

lol Italian referred to me as 840somemum!

hippychick66 · 18/10/2010 18:58

Oh I see. I get it now. She meant to put a * 0 I'm sure she doesn't think you're 840 really Grin

diege and I have stopped the egg jokes now - you can all come back, we need some egg-stra company - haha.

40someMum · 18/10/2010 19:04

Hippy I see - you were only yolking Confused

AlbaDeTamble · 18/10/2010 20:56

Something else to make you smile this evening Hippy, talking of bump buddies.... I've found a lovely doula through a chain of RL recommendations... And it turns out she's none other than Liahgen, just like you recommended to me from the start Smile.

hippychick66 · 19/10/2010 09:42

alba Wow, that's strange huh.

So many questions:-

  1. Are you going to go ahead with her then?
  2. Have you met her in RL?
  3. How did you work out it was her?

You've got me thinking actually, how are all our preggie ladies? lunatic, mslucy, doubleshot liaghen - I think they are the ones that were preggers but my addled brain could have made a mistake - sorry if I have.

I read your advise to the lady on the grads thread who had the stillborn and is approaching 40 - you told her to come and join us when she's ready. You also said that you found it hard to stay away from us - ahhh bless ya Smile

BB Are you ok?, you've been a wee bit quiet and I know you were stressed out. I did laugh at your envy at my DH's ability to do 'it' 2 days in a row. If you saw him you'd probably be even more surprised, he doesn't look like he has it in him! Grin

Have chosen my slanket and seeing as I now know how to add a link - here it is (watch the people change) - I like the purple one

galwaygal · 19/10/2010 10:05

Phew thank goodness I missed all the eggy jokes!

Hippy - I think I will take the camel coloured slanket for myself, if we all took different colours our snug would become very rainbow looking..

Well I am on day three of a three day diet, jumped on the scales this morning (was expecting nothing as in the 2ww I always put on weight with the water-retention,) but today, I found I had lost 8lb's!!!!! It is a special enzyme based diet given to people to lose weight rapidly prior to having surgery. Well I certainly hope I keep the weight off.

Alba - how great to have Lia as your doula..... thing is can she type updates on mn, on your progress during labour, while still encouraging you Grin?!

muchlove · 19/10/2010 10:07

Morning Girls

Just checking in - not much to report here.

Am in Big Pants stage - CD 3 and just chillin ......

DH has been ill the last couple of days so trying to avoid him (it seems there is a lot of virus's going around at the mo guess it's the time of year) praying I don't catch anything ....

Hope everybody is well......

GUM It seems we are round a bout the same time in our cycles ????

I think I'm gonna give it a big effort this month and then if nothing maybe start turning my head away from TTC I just sort of feel like I'm getting futher and further away from my goal and each month (and the 4 losses) is taking its toll on me..... I have been fairly lucky in my life where I have never suffered from PMT or heavy periods infact no probs at all .... but now I am like a raving lunatic in the days leading to AF ... all the symptom spotting and then the negative tests is getting to me. I didn't temp or test last month and it did give me a bit of freedom BUT then I got all angsty bcoz I was'nt sure how many DPO I was and when I could do a PG test. I usually test on DPO 10 or 11 as they have always been the best times at showing a line.

Anyway I don't feel down I just feel a bit lost and I guess a little bit jaded with it all and TIME is tick-tocking a -bloody - way .....grrrrhhhh..... I started in 2009ish and now it's nearly 2011 !!!! How the hell did that happen......?

I should be holding a 6 month old baby now ...or be about to give birth .... or be 4 mnths pregnant but instead I've got my period Sad.........

Then I think of the place that SASSY is in and scold myself for thinking this way ..... if you are checking in on us at all SASSY then I hope you are ok and getting thru the days x

Muchlove to all of you and may god bless us with a healthy egg/embryo/baby to love and cherish oncemore.......

xx

hippychick66 · 19/10/2010 10:21

muchlove (((((()))))) Big hugs cos you sound like you need 'em, honey.

I hear everything you've said. I also think things like - i should have a 6 week old baby or be over 20 weeks preg. It's hard not to think like thnat isn't it?

I also started thinking about a 3rd baby in 2009 and wonder where the time has gone. Shock

I totally understand how you feel. I also agree about sas - her situation does bring it into perspective, doesn't it?

Take care, lovie. X

Hi all
Have been lurking a bit, but not much to say. Am mentally/emotionally in a MUCH better place than in September. Pleased that my cycle SEEMS to have returned to normal after ERPC more quickly than last time. 25 day last month, which has become about average for me, and less pre-spotting which I guess is good. No TTC yet here.

After my farcically chaotic NHS trip re recurrent MC a fortnight ago, I have the serene (but ££!) experience of the private clinic coming up on Friday. Actually I just spoke to the nurse I know at the EPU (who was off sick when I was up there, hence the confusion) to clarify where my testing had got to, and feel much more reassured that things are moving in the right direction and she is managing my case for me. Some of my blood tests are back already and are fine, but some remain; once all back, an appt will be made for me, and we can crack on. (Apparently the policy has just changed, and partners NOT tested as a matter of course if there are existing children; suspect the cost is a factor).

Not sure what the woman at the private clinic will say (she is notoriously direct apparently)... she may well say bog off you old bag... :)

Anyway, must get on with cleaning whilst DS at nursery.

Hugs to all that need them; choc and wine to those able to indulge.

Have been loving the egg jokes; in my former life I was always the first to crack these approaching Easter, as we were a retail business and all those choc sales mattered!

x

AlbaDeTamble · 19/10/2010 12:25

Jolls good to hear from you, and very best of luck for Friday. Glad to hear you're feeling better.

Hippy

  1. yes
  2. yes
  3. couldn't possibly tell you - we're both keeping each others' identities to ourselves so I'm not giving any clues!

GG running commentary on labour [hshock]... amusing idea, but somehow I think not, that would be stretching TMI a bit far, even for this thread [hgrin]

Hope no-one minds me recommending this thread, but it really is such a lovely place to be.

Oh, and I just have to add this one because I think she looks best of the lot [henvy]
