I've started a new thread!

OP posts:
Diege · 01/10/2010 16:58

Good question Sassy, though the list from the book I published do have linked endnotes with research studies to support. I think a lot of the nutritional advice comes from complementray medicine, therefore might not be part of 'mainstream' thinking (other than folic acid).
I think it's time we opened the snug Friday night bistro...I'll take your orders when you're ready! I'm having veggi chilli (for real) but would really like deep fried potato skins followed by salt and pepper chicken and chips, and a creme brulee for pudd Grin.

galwaygal · 01/10/2010 17:34

hmmm. Deige, can you whip me up a curry-chips and a huge dollop of chocolate mousse. Oh and I will chuck out the rosé that I have been drinking here and instead get our hunky waiter to pour a bucksfizz for me please.

I am having a really down day, and hit the wine early tonight, for no reason other than to blot out my power of thinking. Might regret it later, but hey, maybe not! I need a me night of wallowing.

Diege · 01/10/2010 18:10

You wallow away GG - that's what the snug's for! Hope you're ok - is it anything we can help you with or just general bleughhness? x
Have called the hunky waiter back for your order - is he the one in the rude apron with nothing else underneath?

Diege · 01/10/2010 22:31

OK Snugglers, kitchen's closed, you had you chance!
Night all Smile

randomimposter · 02/10/2010 07:10

Morning all
sorry diege I was watching Strictly (which I don't usually do as a Cowell devotee Grin) and wibbling away on the the MC board. I was gulpingsipping my OysterBay though...

hope all well with everyone... what have I missed?

I DO need to think about going back on the old folic acid I guess and maybe should look for higher dose this time. On Monday I MUST make initial phone calls about getting some recurrent MC tests arranged; going to explore NHS and private in tandem... no time to waste huh... BB haven't thought about going back to E yet, but will at some point.

Anyway DS suggesting in no uncertain terms that time to go downstairs so must dash, will catch up properly later. Big mwah to all x

Diege · 02/10/2010 09:23

I'll let you off Jollster though I don't think we'll get that waiter again Wink
Sounds a sensible plan you have there, keeping your options open while maximising your chances by doing the public/pivate route (very 'third way' Wink).
My af is still not here - another temp drop, and bfns all round - menstrual migraine also having a peek, just need the period!!! I am thinking this 'delay' may be agnus castus - ok so I get a luteaul phase so far of coming up to 13 days. However, the last 2 days have been very low temps signifying prog drop, so is that part of the LP worth having? I think what I mean is, does having an extra couple of days tagged on because of the agnus actually mean anything postive if those 2 days have very low temps?? Confused
Oh and good morning Blush. I'll get the croissants on!

Beattiebow · 02/10/2010 15:32

jollster I am thinking of having an appointment at the Agora when I get my blood tests back from the doctors. Am I right in thinking that you have been there too?

I am not quite sure what they'll do for me tbh, but maybe worth an initial consultation.

diege I had the same thoughts about the progesterone - is it really worth extending the LP (and eating into the next month) if you're not pg? dunno I'm afraid. On E's advice I'm taking agnus castus this month, although have managed to take the wrong dose so far.

OP posts:
Diege · 02/10/2010 17:21

Hi Beattie Smile. Can I ask what your does of agnus castus is? I'm taking the Holland & Barrat ones, 2 twice a day (will have to check strength). Af has just arrived so my LP has gone from an averaging 9 days to 12 days this month which I can only think is down to the agnus.

Beattiebow · 02/10/2010 18:53

I'm taking the same ones Diege - but I didn't read the instructions until yesterday, so was just taking 1 a day for the first 3 days. I don't ovulate until around day 19-21 though so lots of time to build up!

Sorry about rtd Diege. (can't bring myself to use af!).

hippychick66 · 02/10/2010 19:13

hi all. i am just being nosey - why/how was sassys message deleted?

hippychick66 · 02/10/2010 19:20

wrong time to pop into the snug i guess - you're probably all watching x factor.

my 10 year old just stubbed his toe and was so annoyed he punched the back of the sofa - hitting his hand on the wooden bit inside the padding. This caused him so much pain that he suddenly declared he was gonna be sick and had a total panic attack in the loo.

He's alright now but his hand is hurting like mad (worse than the toe). He is sooo his mothers son!

galwaygal · 02/10/2010 19:32

hippy - yep I was surprised to see sassy's posts deleted on mass. I think that a poster can request all their posts be deleted. I hope that Sassy comes back soon to reassure us she is not dropping of the edge of the planet or staying in France! Also sorry to hear your son's hurt his hand, but it is kinda funny too.

I am still feeling low, but think I am digging out of my af-slump.

diege - Sad to see you back on cd1, but you did think it was coming, so hope you are ok about it?

Jolls - have you decided where you will go privately for your investigations?

Sassy - where are you?????

Beattiebow · 02/10/2010 19:45

oh dear I didn't see that. I presume she has been outed/stalked in rl. Hope you are ok Sassy and can come back incognito at some stage.

Yes, watching x factor while looking for a puppy on the interweb. (figure if i get a puppy I'll get pg too maybe).

Hi all,
I'm afraid that SassySusan is definitely a troll - one that we've banned at least four times in the past under different incarnations for posting to mislead and cause trouble.

It's very unfortunate that he/she's now posted in this topic as people are clearly extremely emotionally vulnerable here. It is, I suppose, technically possible that her current story is true - i.e that in at least four previous incarnations she lied about her personal details but in this case was telling the truth, but it's extremely unlikely and given folks' vulnerability we thought it best to ban her as soon as we found out his/her identitly.

peterpansmum please do [email protected] with any further information clarification as obviously we are very concerned about this person and the damage he/she has caused in the past.

Beattiebow · 02/10/2010 19:48

oh yes Jolls I just saw that too. Blimey.

OP posts:
galwaygal · 02/10/2010 20:51

Sassy - have just found out why you are not here, if you get to read this, then I am so so sorry for the way you were treated on the other thread. I hope that you can come back to us soon?

hippychick66 · 02/10/2010 21:17

I can't believe that she is a troll. Or that she was lying to us. What the fuck is going on???

No-one could fake the pain she was going through re: Catherine or pretend to be TTC in such a detailed way.

Blimey sas I will miss you if you don't come back. It must be a mistake. Shock

galwaygal · 02/10/2010 21:33

As said, it is possible that her bereavement story is true (although I hope not) - we can't be sure - we are just sure that she's been banned four times by us for causing trouble over the last year or so. Each time she has come back with a new persona and started inflammatory threads. We only noticed this yesterday when her blog attacking another Mumsnetter meant that several people reported her posts and we took a look at her posting history.

Sorry missed that you had already posted the previous

Diege · 02/10/2010 22:22

I can't believe Sassy is a troll either Sad I've just finished reading the mentioned thread and there are posters who have met up with Sassy in real life etc etc, plus as Hippy says no-one could write so eloquently about bereavement both on here and on her blog who was fabricating it all. I think often abut Catherine and will be posting on the blog to show my support.

randomimposter · 02/10/2010 22:53

I had a brief text chat with SasSus earlier. Not sure I understand any of what's happened. I am a bit confuddled by it all.

Hope all ok with everyone else. Off to bed for much needed zzzzzz xx

hippychick66 · 02/10/2010 23:03

jolls how did you have a text chat with her? Do you know her mob number?

Someone on the other thread posted a link to Caterine's obituary.

I'm so worried about her. No matter what she may or may not have done on MN before. Her needs for MN now are very real.

I keep thinking that not only was she grieving but she'd just had a disappointment with AF arriving 4 days late. She needs us and the snug. Sad

galwaygal · 02/10/2010 23:06

Hippy - the lastest blog has her mobile phone number. I think that a major mistake has been made, I simply can't believe that Sassy is anything but genuine.

Diege · 02/10/2010 23:07

Hippy Sassy posted her mobile number on her blog, so this may be how Jolls got it?
I agree, whatever may have happened in the past, Sassy is a snugster and will always be welcome. I can't beleive she may never be back Sad

Diege · 02/10/2010 23:07

x-post GG!
