So near, yet so far! Holiday villa for those waiting TTC#1 having suffered mc

Hi all,

I need to take a holiday with some lovely peeps in the same position; I'm TTC#1 but had 2 mc's this year and now discovered my luteal phase is only 9 days (anything under 10 considered a defect) and probably the reason that I cannot retain a pregnancy.

If you have yet to be blessed with motherhood because mc has cruelly taken away your chance so far, then this is the place to retreat for some R & R whilst your body recovers.

Pull up a sun lounger, and lie back for some lighthearted banter and support whilst monitoring cycles or undergoing investigation and wash down the Vit B6, Agnus Castus, Progesterone and Clomid with a lovely vodka glass of sparkling spring water!!

nicks Car luxury would be parking it in the garage, carpet or no carpet! Unfortunately I think only Noddy's car would fit into the garage - it's a ridiculously tiny place that we couldn't even fit a car in when I only had a Corsa!

Lizhappyfeet · 20/10/2010 06:08

Hi all, can I stay and lurk even if I'm just waiting to try? Am waiting for first period after erpc, but just want to get started. It's the only thing on my mind at the moment, but I'm taking up knitting as a distraction :)

MamaPower · 20/10/2010 10:39

Morning all, how is everyone doing?

Hi Liz Sorry about your mc and of course you can lurk, join in whenever you like! Also, there is a mother thread to this, it moves at high speed but the gal's there are lovely, so if you want to swing by that one... click here

Bloody dh wasn't playing ball last night and I'm damn well sure I ov'd... let's hope there were some swimmers hanging around from Monday night [hblush]

owlshoes · 21/10/2010 21:34

Hello Liz yes, lurking is encouraged :)

As is distracting knitting Grin

Oh, and eating brie and pate, drinking wine etc..

nickstermum · 21/10/2010 22:44

De lurks just to reassure mamap that 2 days before should be fine:)

kat2504 · 21/10/2010 22:48

MamaP sounds like it was actually just one day before? In which case the Monday is perfect timing for Ov on Tuesday. 2 days is still in the window too. Is frustrating, I think I missed my best day too, despite swi four times in the previous week. Fingers crossed for us both!

Also drinking wine.

liz welcome and sorry to hear about your mc. Hope you are recovering well from the erpc and AF doesn't keep you waiting too long.

Wombat33 · 22/10/2010 00:09

Evening all! Did someone say brie and paté??? GrinGrin

Welcome Liz, sorry you have found yourself here.

I'm also keeping everything crossed for swimmer longevity. SWI on Sunday and then DH went away on business until tomorrow. Got a positive on the OPK on Tues and Weds...

MamaPower · 22/10/2010 12:26

well at least I know they won't be trying to reach the egg mid air [hgin] (I originally thought I'd be ov somewhere over the ocean on route to KL!!!).

paté and brie...bring it on, all washed down with a lovely vino!

OP posts:
owlshoes · 22/10/2010 12:34

Yes - at least you've been spared the airport lounge shag (probably illegal in KL anyway) Grin

Are you off this weekend then? have a lovely holiday :)

Lizhappyfeet · 22/10/2010 12:40

Thanks for the welcome, I've already been eating rare steak and drinking wine :)

MamaPower, as kat2504 says seems like good timing anyway. Dh already concerned about 'chore sex', told me not to tell him and just be ignorant to if I'm ov or not!

I hope everyone has a lovely weekend planned?

MamaPower · 22/10/2010 12:43

Thanks Owl yup london tom and fly out on Sat...can't wait! I would have actually risked being arrested too... so def a good thing [hwink] See y'all in 3 weeks, love and hugs xx

Can I join. I was pregnant but suffered a missed miscarriage. I had an ERPC done a week ago.

Still in the ranting stage, not really helped that one friend gave birth last week and 3 others are pregnant. Feel a bit jealous of them if I am honest and it does not seem fair.

Sorry for the wallow. Obviously I need a glass of wine and to watch the neighbours fireworks.

MamaPower · 22/10/2010 20:52

Hi lemon sorry you are here, pull up a sun bed and relax here with the rest of the gang [hsmile] it's very quiet and chilled here but the other thread (see link I posted earlier in thread on wed 20th) moves at lightening speed and also full of very supportive gals! I totally understand the jealousy feelings but it gets much easier as time goes by...but the longing will always cause pain until we all have a bean of our own... we'll get there [hsmile]. Off on hol's so see you in 3 weeks x

Hello lemon , your name looks familar...I wonder if I've seen you in one of the other threads. V.sorry you've had to come and join us on this one. Wine sounds like a fine plan for the evening!

Mamap is right, it will get better with time but it does have the nasty habit of coming back unexpectedly to bite you on the arse when you least expect it.

It does feel like everyone else in the world is up the duff though, doesn't it? Grrr.

DachshundsRule · 22/10/2010 21:46

soory to see tyhere are newbies. welcome all

see full story on other thread but having dog crisis so am sorry am not being more chatty today

DachshundsRule · 22/10/2010 21:50

lemon, lizhf owl's right, it seems to go away but then grabs you when you least expect it. everyone here is great though. make sure you have someone you can cry at around when it reaches those milestones (I would have been 20 weeks last week and could barely get through the evening - DH had loads of tears to deal with)

owl sorry you're feeling down and grrsome too

Lizhappyfeet · 23/10/2010 17:43

Hi Lemon, sorry you need to be here. Poor thing with other pregnancies around, my friend is due soon and I don't know yet how I'll manage to go see her

DachshundsRule you're right, erpc was a week ago and thought I was doing better, then seeing a baby this morning set me off. I hope your crisis is doing a bit better.

I'm taking up the wine and choc offer, thanks :)

Velvetcu · 24/10/2010 22:40

Hi everyone, sorry to see we have newbies but welcome anyway.

I haven't been on much coz my head is in a bit of a strange place and I don't really know how to say what's going on! It's my 30th on 22nd nov which is 3 weeks before due date of 15th dec so all I keep thinking is that I should be looking like I'm ready to pop at my party but instead I'm trying to lose 4lbs so I definately fit into my size 8 dress :(
It's also our 10th wedding anniversary on 18th nov so we have been getting more than the usual number of "isn't it time you had kids yet" comments. Like you just decide and then you are instantly upduffed.
I'm also thinking maybe I shouldn't ttc this month so that I'm not stressing about it at the party and my WTF cycles are really pissing me off!
I just want my baby!!!!!

Sorry for the mememe I just needed a rant! Hope you are all good.

owlshoes · 25/10/2010 12:01

Aw, velvet the due dates are utter shite :(

Mine was 22 Jan. Now that the SIL is up the duff I can look forward to a family Christmas centred entirely around her expanding girth and in all honesty, I cannot face it because it upsets me too much. So I shall join you in the ranting!

I wouldn't worry about the 4lb though, I reckon you should treat yourself to a new (size 10) dress and to hell with the diet.

Dachs Am sending lots of positive vibes to your little doggie, hope he's doing okay. Have you started on the magic drugs yet or are they still lurking in the fridge?

nickstermum · 25/10/2010 14:55

xxxx

lemonsherbet · 26/10/2010 18:46

Dachs I hope you dog is getting better.

Anyone got an exciting ideas for dinner? At the moment I think we will be having pasta left over suprise.

PinkFondantFancy · 27/10/2010 21:55

Hellllllooooooooooo all! Can I join you lovely ladies by the pool? I've been a bit of a whingy whinger of late so could do with a nice cocktail by the pool! velvet I agree with Owly - don't bother with the diet, get a shiny new size 10. Gutted for you with the dates :( That sucks.

lemon with you on the jealousy, it's very hard to suppress, even when I know that some of my friends didn't exactly have a smooth journey to get pg.

Velvetcu · 28/10/2010 10:59

Chill out day by the pool today methinks with lots of hunky waiters serving cocktails :)

skeletalnix · 28/10/2010 12:49

not brave enough to stick around in my cozzy!

owlgiblets · 28/10/2010 12:52

PFF whinging is good for the soul, as are cocktails. Here; I have made a bucket of mojito, stick your nose in that :)

lemon it's kind of ironic that the only thing that isn't a surprise in pasta surprise is the pasta.

Unless you made it with couscous instead.
