Come along, we haven't got all day. Pop off your blazers and straw boaters for a mo and listen up. As Head Girl, I think you ought to know that my dear chum Darrell Rivers tells me that we're really letting the side down with our lack of baybee-winning. To that end, instead of prep and lacrosse, we'll be TTC. I know some of us are losing hope that we'll ever win the Motherhood Cup for our house, but chins up and think of England! We don't won't to end up like the bitter, childless, dried-up old spinsters running this place, do w... oh, hello Matron! Yes, yes, we're going now...

Super! We've been given the attic dorm - bagsy the bed by the window, what! We won't be disturbed when we're enjoying midnight feasts, unbridled lesbianism, pillow fights and sneaking in fellows from the nearby boy's school for some ghastly dreadfulness.

So let's pop some Joyce Grenfell on the gramophone and crack open the tuck boxes! Mater's made me a huge ginger cake and oooh, I see someone's brought pontefract cakes! Yummo! Humbugs, sherbet, elderflower fizz, eccles cakes, a whole slab of choccy - what a simply smashing haul! Hmmm, this ginger beer smells suspiciously gin-like...

Oh yes

I'm just going to issue a one time apology for errant/missing apostephres, mispellings, missing words etc. etc. Ok?

I blame the drugs. Grin

Scorpette · 02/09/2010 15:53

I'm just upset that the person who reported me said publicly she was doing so, so it's clear that that's why my post has been deleted. If she had just reported it and no-one knew why, I wouldn't care so much. I don't think I made a personal attack and don't want people letting their imaginations run wild as to how mean I must've been to get it reported. I'm worried that MNHQ will have me down as a troublemaker/bitch type and you lot know I'm soooo not that. I never got into any trouble at school so I don't cope well with being seen as 'bad'. I do know logically that it's no biggy.

Yeah, it's all your fault, y'caaaaaah! Wink Awwww, I can't be angry with you for long... maybe some extra-steamy gropage might make me feel better

Agree with Aries, Scorps, please try not to let this get to you, it's the last thing you need. The nastiness out there is why I never leave here. Didn't someone cleverly lower a protective dome over the Palace just recently? Let's employ that again .

RunLyraRun · 02/09/2010 15:57

Scorps, whilst you are very, very important to us, I doubt that you are to MNHQ :o

Lizzylou · 02/09/2010 15:59

Umm, Scorpette, I reported your post and said I was on the thread. Not because I thought you were a bitch, far from it. But it was an insulting remark. Wish I'd just bloody well left it now, sorry.
I am on a longrunning thread and I was shocked when I realised that others on MN lurked. It seems like you're amongst friends, I know.

Sorry if I have in anyway upset you, I honestly didn't mean to.

Oh and I rarely venture out of my safe thread either, think I'll slink back now Smile

Sorry to intrude

Ariesgirl · 02/09/2010 16:03

Hi Lizzy I think it's nice of you to post. Isn't it funny how we all have our little MN homes. The trouble is, some people's MN home is in AIBU Grin.

I think we should let this blow over and get on with more important stuff such as making babies.

RunLyraRun · 02/09/2010 16:04

Thanks those who said I could switch FC. Sindy, would be great if you could ask your friend. Will try to contact gynae about it, or my GP if I can't get hold of her. I think Cass is right, funding from your PCT can be transferred to anywhere in the NHS - like my dad having his treatment 250 miles away from home.

I feel such a div because I work in the NHS but don't understand how it works...but then it is a very big place, and the rules seem to change all the time.

Scorpette · 02/09/2010 16:11

Cinco, thanks so much for your reassuring words and nommy goodies

So sorry to hear that AC is proving so hard. Have you thought of trying out my Needles Lady (did you work out who she is from my hints? I told her someone nearby was interested and she says I can pass on her website here)? She's just had a cluster of IVF winners who've been getting lots of treatments off her. I cannot recommend her highly enough. She lets you chat and cry and moan and all sorts, as well as top quality needling and advice. Is like the best Aunt you could ever ask for. Told me today she had 5 years of secondary infertility to win her now-adult son, so she truly understands the pain of the BESH.

Lyra, fanks also. Let us live in our BESHy world dome, where naked Mitchells* ride unicorns to bring us gin and home-baked treats and we get pregnant just by looking at him...

*The vampyre out of Being Human, not Phil and Grant off 'enders!

Hi hagelettis.

I am Shock at the giant big kick off. Sorry if I have encouraged any bad feeling towards my lovely BESHies.

Scorps dear, pliz to not take it to heart.

Tartyflutte you can try with your one size fits all apology for apostrophes etc, will not stop the pedants here (of which I am a junior member) picking you up on it..Oh no..Grin

BarbiesBeaver · 02/09/2010 16:14

Pette anyone reading and poking around on here a little bit will see within seconds that you are a) Caring b) Clever c) funny d) loyal) and perverted.

Would you like to stroke my beard? Would you like me to lift up my beard and you can tickle my Adam's apple? Would you like to shelter from the noon day sun underneath the shade from my beard? Naaaaah worries mate. Sorry I think I'm getting hysterical. Please slap me briskly.

Ariesgirl · 02/09/2010 16:15

"naked Mitchells"

One singular naked Mitchell the vampire would be divine, though last time I saw him he had just eaten a Tubeful of people, shagged a female vampire and was lounging on a bed covered in gore.

Scorpette · 02/09/2010 16:17

LizzyLou, I am genuinely touched that you came here to say that to me. I shouldn't have told her to p-off, etc., I was just irate because we genuinely didn't go over there to gang up on people and I thought her finding out who we were and linking to us was a worse 'crime'. And I was irate because I've been very low recently and felt really sick at the thought of 'strangers' reading the personal things I'd written. Of course, I know that anyone can come and read our stuff, but we don't want a mean-spirited link to here telling people to check us out! It's lovely to have a nice safe thread to belong to, glad you have one too :)

Lyra, I know MNHQ don't care about who I am, I was just being 'waaaaah'! Which, of course, I never am Blush

lizzylou i always thought you were trying to poor oil on troubled waters, well thats how it came across to me. thanks for coming to apologies to scorps tho. I had to hold back on that thread really, anything I would have said would have just looked like more pack behaviour (what a horrible concept, that we cant express an opinion as an independent thought!)

scorps please don't worry how other people see you, its a storm in a tea cup, there are only a couple of people who will even remember this and i don't think you should mind about their opinion. We all love you very much and appreciate that you tried to come to our defense.

Agree with aries let's focus on the baybee winning, i'm off for my needles now. All you gels behave while on gone now, no pillow fights or midnight feasts (well not til i'm back anyway)

Lizzylou · 02/09/2010 16:20

Phew, glad you're OK Scorpette.

I have reported my post and asked for it to be deleted, for some reason I seem to have a moment of Head Girl madness! I never was Head Girl, obviously the power would have gone to my head Wink

And now I will leave you ladies in peace Smile

cincotart · 02/09/2010 16:20

ooh salts shall I just bend over now for my cane punishment Grin

Thanks scorps yes I did look her up and think I may go if this IUI doesn't work. She sounds really lovely and even if doesn't win a baby may halp me CTFO. How do you feel after todays session?

Only prob is severe lack of funds at the moment, I'm in catch 22 with a bit of lack of motivation to actually start baking for a living rather than just practising and coming up with ace ideas Grin. Think I'm a bit shy to approach people about it and realise I have to get over this or will have to go and stack some shelves instead {confused].

Scorpette · 02/09/2010 16:27

Aw, you're lovely, Lizzy. You can pop by and share our tuckboxes any time :) Feel guilty you've deleted your own post but my mind is totally at ease now. I never thought you were being bitchy or Head Girl-ish at all, just being para cos I'm so down at the mo. Is actually good to know that there's people like you about who won't let people get away with crap (I must learn to not resort to swearing whenever I venture out of here again!).

OP posts:
Scorpette · 02/09/2010 16:42

Cinco, I feel great after my needling - I always do. Not just physically but mentally, as we have a good chat about stuff and she helps put things in prospective. I felt subtle changes in my body after my very first session and it's helped with all sorts off issues, not just reproductive ones. And my mental-level period pains are now tolerable, thanks to needling (bit worried on that score as I'm not seeing her for a fortnight now1 and the droid - if it happens2 - will come before then).

Ooooh, I meant to mention: chatted with Needles about not getting the AC referral. She was really shocked that my GP had produced this long questionnaire3 of things that me and TYF had to pass, as she says she's never heard of such a thing before. She says I should write an article and send it off to the local or even national press, alerting wimminz to how draconian the regulations are getting. And she's going to tell St Zita, glory be her name, so the ZW clinic know that PCTs are clamping down everywhere, thanks to the ConDems Angry

Thanks for all the reassurances, everyone. I'm sorry I'm being a bit pathetic and needy/trying. I wasn't such a whiny wimp before I got into the TTC biz4... in penance, I shall hit myself in the head with both a frozen monkfish AND a frozen tray of flapjacks as soon as I post this!

1 She's getting verr booked up, so don't leave it too long.
2 It will Sad
3 Sadly, it didn't ask me if I like gin or if I know what R2D2 refers to Wink
4 I was.

PS Cinco, my last job involved fancy-shmancy baking and all sorts of stuff in that area. I don't want to come across as a stalker but we live in the same city and we have transferable skills, so if you ever want a chat...

(And Orchid, am not forgetting your lovely offer of a meet-up :) )

PPS I am skint too. Every last penny I have goes on Needling. I know it's helping me, though, so I find a way.

SORRY I'M CLUSTERFUCKING THE THREAD TO DEATH!

OP posts:
cincotart · 02/09/2010 17:04

Aaaw Scorps thank you, I don't think it's stalkerish at all.....I'm getting the distant rumblings of one of those fancy BESHmeets! I understand it is written in folklore that they guarantee diffedness for at least one attendee, so why the hell not, what's the worst that could happen Grin

Mr T is treating me to dinner out in a bit ( yes I know I was moaning about him earlier and in reality he's just goregous) so will needle him about the needles and see if he agrees as at mo he's the one bringing in the cash (which is really weird as up until recently I've been completely independent...god I sound like a 1950's housewife Shock)

Scorpette · 02/09/2010 17:31

Tartypants, you need to reframe it for Mr T (I pity tha fool who doesn't pay for your acupuncture Grin): 1) Acupuncture has been proven to help women conceive and many tests have shown that women undergoing AC/IVF and having needling to support it win their babies more often and quicker than those not having the needling. 2: It's really good for your overall health, so also good for making your body super-ready for to make that baybee. 3: It will make you happy, ergo, that's also helpful and a happy missus should maketh a happy man. Feel free to point out that needling has helped several BESHes here to win and is helping several more get nearer and nearer their win too.

Or you could just scream 'GIMME THE FUCKING CASH!' like a banshee until he capitulates.

Now I am imagining you as married to THE Mr T. Does he wear a lot of gold jewellery and refuse to fly? Wink

Cass, you asked how dad was - he is OK at the moment, thank you for asking, despite having clostridium difficile Shock. He and mum are going to Spain on Saturday, staying with friends for a week, which will be the first time they've been away in over a year :). Touch wood it will go OK.

How are you pet? How is the puking today?

saltyair · 02/09/2010 19:51

Come here, tarty

Can I 2Woofl report, or is it getting dull?

moomaker · 02/09/2010 20:01

saltz please feel free to practice your list of excuses for avoiding the cross country running trials.

Scorpette · 02/09/2010 20:05

Lyra, am v pleased to hear that PapaLyra is doing better. So happy he and MamaLyra are going to go for a lovely holiday - a change of scenery, having top times with old pals, relaxing and soaking up some sun, away from bloody hospitals and Docs, will do him a world of good :) Also touch wood it all goes smoothly
