Hi ladies,
May I join you?

TTC for one yr and trying to get referred for treatment so tbh could do with a large alcoholic drink and some chat!
Grin

highheelsandequations · 09/08/2010 11:14

MrsW poor you. Tuck yourself up and feel better soon.

highheelsandequations · 09/08/2010 11:16

Hi TanteAC, is it too early for a drink? If not I'll join you in a porn star cocktail!

gardenpixie · 09/08/2010 11:19

Hmmmmm, pornstar cocktail, lovely, I am sure that would make my presentation writing skills much sharper!

Welcome to the thread Tante Smile if you tell me your stats (number of cycles you've been TTC-ing, usual cycle length and current cycle day, I can add you to the list if you want?

TanteAC · 09/08/2010 11:37

Ah thank you - and highheels - never too early for a drink, am shaking the cocktail maker by each ear as I type. Also summer hols - why the heck not?

Erm, stats a bit hard to work out gardenpixie but I'll do my best as would love to be involved! Smile

TTC cycle 12 (Well, a yr!), can't do cycle length or day as they don't really exist (PCOS) and haven't been temp-taking enough to see a pattern or anything, sorry! Hopefully wil have more info to add in the future...

Ahhhhhh.

Tante shall we put your stats in as above? And we can fill in the rest when you know more. I am now pretending that my cup of tea is one of your freshly shaken cocktails

crazybutterflylady · 09/08/2010 11:47

Welcome TanteAC hope this thread is super lucky for you and your eggs :)!
I'll have a glass of fizz please, nearly lunchtime after all. Anyone care for some snacks? I have sea salt & balsamic vinegar popcorn... I am telling myself they are just like kettle chips only better for me Grin

MrsW hope you feel better soon sweetpea x

TanteAC · 09/08/2010 11:49

Thank you! Why didn't I come here months ago?! That one list has made me feel more sane than year's worth of GP appts...turns out am not pretending to be ttc after all! Grin
Here, gardenpixie have a sip, no-one's watching...may make presentation flow better...

Florin · 09/08/2010 11:49

mrswajs sorry to hear you are being poorly. Dh and I had a bug like that a few months ago, bit awkward sharing the bathroom but at least you can keep each other company. When u stop being I'll curl up on the sofa with a rubbish film and a duvet over the both of you.
tiger you sound like me when I had to study for my final exams at uni I had the tidiest flat ever. I kept having a sudden urge to clean the soap dispenser of the washing machine etc. I am so easily distracted.
My boss is away for 2 week from today so I will no doubt be on here a lot more!

TigerseyeMum · 09/08/2010 11:54

MrsW that sounds horrible, hope the bug buggers off soon.

Garden I did not see you at all, your head was down and you were working at your desk all morning.

Florin I have done 3 loads of washing and cleaned the kitchen so far Grin

But I did do a little studying so am having a break.

highheelsandequations · 09/08/2010 12:41

ooh, cocktails, popcorn and fizz. Was meant to be going to the gym but I'm sure a little indulgence won't hurt :o

TanteAC · 09/08/2010 12:50

I, too, was supposed to go and exercise, but seeing as haven't actually cleared up the breakfast dishes yet, think there is little chance as have been dragged into the blood diamond trial on BBC news and sipping cocktails here.

May rustle up some nibbles for all in lieu of lunch? Low fat,to ease conscience about mising the gym?

crazybutterflylady · 09/08/2010 13:07

Not to rub it in... but I did make the gym today only to stop me from falling asleep at my desk

Grin
highheelsandequations · 09/08/2010 13:11

now you've made me feel bad crazy, I'm normally very good but get lazy in the summer hols, trying to convince myself that it's good to give my body a break and not feel too guilty!

crazybutterflylady · 09/08/2010 13:16

I think that's fair enough highheels... really, it is SO boring in my office today that it was a case of going to stop myself falling asleep - I was up at 4am yesterday for MrCrazy's triathlon Shock Why he can't collect stamps as a hobby is anybody's guess... :)

highheelsandequations · 09/08/2010 13:20

4am ouch!

crazybutterflylady · 09/08/2010 13:22

Yup. On the upside I did get to see Jensen Button in very little clothing. I was a bit disappointed though; he is DEFINITELY smaller than me Blush

TanteAC · 09/08/2010 13:40

Have just been on the phone to dh and we have decided that should I ever actually have a baby, it would be a grave mistake for me to be a SAHM as I have achieved absolutely zero today! I think a new mum with triplets and sleep deprivaion would have a tidier house and better gym attendance than me...
By contrast, up at 5.30 during school time so sod it! Cocktails and pyjamas it is.
Bit sad about tiny Jenson news. Or are you very tall, crazybutterfly?

crazybutterflylady · 09/08/2010 13:44

Haha, I know what you meant tante, I get zero done at home, I convince myself that after Loose Women I will make a start and it never happens :)

No I am 5'7 - he is short and veh skinny Shock

scroll down the page here

TanteAC · 09/08/2010 13:50

Omg, he is very skinny! Wow that your OH did this a well! (and so glad someone else wastes their time reading about celebs on daily mail website Grin)
I may leave the laundry and sunbathe do some weeding instead. Can balance cocktail on wheelie bin

crazybutterflylady · 09/08/2010 14:00

Yeah he does a lot of them bless him. Not my idea of fun but he could be out doing worse :)
Enjoy your sunbathing gardening!
x

Florin · 09/08/2010 14:40

tanteAC welcome to the thread. I know it's such a relief finding this thread. Thing is in real life talking about ttc is such a taboo subject no one does so know one realises it takes most people quite a while to get pregnant. It's nice on here having a place to obsess chat about it with people who understand and know how it can seem perfectly reasonable to spend ages wondering if your left ear itches is a sign of pregnancy. Welcome to the madness and hope you get your bfp soon!

gardenpixie · 09/08/2010 15:10

Oooo crazy Jenson's sweaty crotch marks quite put me off my falafel salad. I think I need a pornstar cocktail to recover ...

TigerseyeMum · 09/08/2010 15:21

Is it just me or does anyone else frequently get the urge to stamp their feet and scream 'But I want to be PREGNAAAANNNNTT' ???? Confused

It's like trying to organise the one thing you have no control over - your body - and I am quite controlling, I am the kind of person that plans and researches everything. My search for the perfect rescue dog for our situation took a year (and she was perfect when we found her) but I cannot organise having a baby. It seems down to....luck? I dunno what it comes down to, but it's soooooooo frustrating Angry

I should be more patient. It's only been a month Grin though I have waited 37 years to get to this point I suppose.

I did do more studying and now am having a cuppa.

gardenpixie · 09/08/2010 15:26

Tiger I get that pretty much every day! It's so unfair. Everything else in my life I've been able to sort out exactly how I wanted it by hard work and a lot of skiving in front of the telly dedication. But this ONE thing that I want more than anything I can't plan into existence or write a timing plan or just put more effort in to get it.

VERY VERY VERY Angry

SO I seek comfort in the things I can control: wine, chocolate, pizza, a bit more wine ...!

I do think the universe needs to buck its ideas up and give all of us lovely ladies enormous BFPs soon!
