Hello frolickers! Not been on here for a few days but 6 pages and a couple of hours later I think I've caught up!
Not sure who is doing the list but could you please put me in the 'not counting' section? Ta.
First of all I hope Zippys and DP are feeling a bit better. And 'chin up' to high heels too. Group hug!
Hi slowshow, I am also going through the irrational infertility worry and am looking forward to treating myself to pregnacare next week! Grin
Will definately look into wellman conception for OH too (Boots here I come!) thanks for the tip Cavemum. Would it be wrong to decant them into a multivitamin jar and nonchalantly shove them towards OH on a morning?! Also congrats on Mr Cave's posting, so chuffed for you. And exciting to be house hunting too (make sure new house has a shoe room!).
Speaking of shoes Kaloki they are stunning!Envy
Tomboy my doc told me too many vitamins in general are bad for baby so just stick to pregnacare or similar so you know you're getting what you need.
Truffkin I do not envy you when your first period arrives after 8 years!!! It was about 6 for me and I'd forgotton just how horrendous it was.
Speaking of which, ERTD arrived yesterday (hence me sitting on sofa under duvet when it's glorious sunshine outside!). It's good news really as I can now start to keep track of my cycle. Doc says I should start to regulate over next few months so fingers crossed.
Cherry I'm also thinking of acupuncture. Could stand relexology though as I hate people touching my feet. Will be interesting to hear your verdict.
I hope Florin is enjoying her hols (very jealous) and hope Tante and DP are enjoying their weekend too. I have work tonight and tomorrow Sad but have tues and weds off so am planning a girlie day of haircut, facial, massage, shopping etc. My friend works on the Dior counter so will be going in for a make over and free samples...thank you very much! Soooo ready for some me time.
OH has been told there is definately a job in Scotland for him Grin it's just a case of when Confused so could be months yet...hate being in limbo! Still exciting though. Got stuck in a bit of a rut here so will do us good.
Back to the conversation of healthy sperm, no mobile phones in pocket and apparantly even long phone calls can do damage. I was also told that cannabis can make sperm swim backwards Hmm is that possible? Probably won't affect most of you but unfortunately OH is partial to the odd spliff. Before you ask, yes it does annoy the hell out of me. Managed to slip into conversation last night that his little fella's were so stoned they were doing the back stroke so hopefully he'll take note.
Anyway, this is a ridiculously long post so will stop waffling! Hello to all I've not mentioned, hope you are having a great weekend. Smile

Toriajayne · 21/08/2010 18:51

Sorry about the multi expletive FERTD highheels and garden that really sucks.

With a week still to go til AF is due I'm symptom spotting like a loon (I've had the most horrendous heartburn for the last two days, some nausea, being exhausted and other random stuff, all of which I'm sure are down to a virus that's going around) and after me telling my manager I felt rough and telling her my symptoms she has decided (without knowing that we're TTC) that I must be pregnant and has practially booked my materniy leave [hmmm] Not as good as Tigers bum though Grin

cherrycobbler · 21/08/2010 23:09

pixie and highheels f*cking rubbish re your ERTD - hope you are looking after yourselves.

kkas brill re the job!! That is fab, fab - and think you're right to be laid back about the TTC timing. Hurrah! Friend resigned from v stressy job and then fell pregnant immediately after - was not ideal timing re mat pay and new job but she was over the moon as had taken years to conceive first baby.
So, had reflexology - blissful session, no idea if it will do any good tho the practitioner specialises in fertility and pregnancy. Will also book in for acupuncture session in a couple of weeks too I think. Having stressy family time so even if it doesn't result in babies galore it's good to have some relaxation!

Very vexed as ov is early this month and we have failed to SWI in time due to combo of very late finishes at work and a couple of late nights out. Boo!! Feel bit calmer about it now but was irrationally down about it this morning Blush

Hello to everyone else and hope you had fab Saturdays!

Morning All,

Sorry that BFCSERTD arrived higheels, garden and josie. How crap Angry

Hi aries nice to see you :)

Back later

crazydayz · 22/08/2010 09:21

Lots of sympathy, chocolate cake and cocktails for those who have had a visit from ERTD and hope that next month is your month!
Tante your GP sounds like an arse who is stuck in the dark ages and very rude - glad you are ditching him.
Ovulation has occured here so the riduculous symptom spotting and wishing away of the days now begins with my fingers and toes crossed! At least hubby can have a rest Grin!

womanlytales · 22/08/2010 09:44

Happy Sunday ladies :)
lanky glad work is keeping you busy. I know this is contrary to everybody else saying don't be stressed -- but given where you are at (with me 2-3 days behind) I see the merit in having something to do to keep my fingers off pregnology & staring at pregnant women and wishing really hard....oh and did I forget the crazy checking if ERTD has arrived or not!!!!

Have dry skin thanks to PCOS so I have no advice on what to get -- I personally use anything with Rose in it and that makes me feel fab - Neals Yard stuff is current choice. Have also heard a LOT about Bare Minerals but yet to still get out there and buy something.
josie Sorry about the ERTD - though I see that you're taking it in stride and looking forward to the next cycle. Hope it is lucky for you.
kkas Congrats on your job :)
Zippys how are you doing? Sending you a big hug.
tante OMG what is it with these terrible doctors I am so glad you asked to see another doctor. I've been pondering about the non-communicative ways of my specialist and u know the worst thing is to attribute to something as silly as he being a man and wanting to 'control' what I am going through and hence the very filtered information that doesn't let me do one thing or another...makes me feel like a specimen rat! Hope your weekend is going well.
garden Sorry ERTD has come - BEST of luck with Clomid - I have my fingers crossed for you.
Tigerseye A missing letter ?$%&&£&£ I mean really what's up with that? Hope you get an appointment really quick because of this mess up.
highheels Am really sorry for ERTD showing up - big hug. TTC is so challenging and add clomid to that makes for one real tough journey - Hope you feel better and very best for your next cycle. Note - I had a hsg and my body protested at the invasive methods..so my tubes closed up. Sigh! NExt they had to put me out and take a look with a camera to confirm that the tubes are healthy and fine. Of course hindsight vision being 20-20 I do wonder now if I could have done more to relax myself...u know carried some aroma candles into that sterile, cold room...and let my body relax..in order to avoid the laproscopic procedure... So if you do go for a hsg, be sure to read something relaxing and be totally relaxed (not that you'll go through what I did - but just wanted to share my exp.)
lou - I laughed when I thought of DH's little fellas doing the back stroke -- LOL Hope your weekend is going well.
cherry Thanks for sharing your exp with reflexology... I have also heard of friends who quit their jobs and immediately conceived.. Also hear you on the timing big -- if that isn't a stress-creator... I still ponder gloomily about the one month this year - April when I did ovulate..and we did plan a long weekend holiday around ovulation day..but ended up fighting about not doing it....terrible, terrible. the stress of it all is too much..and my gp also told me to 'take a break'...if only that was as easy. I try and pick up things to do..new classes or books or something to help me focus on other stuff...and not constantly be thinking about cd / ertd / ov / and of course calculating my due date each month!!! lol
crazydayz best of luck for your 2ww and great that you know ovulation has happened.

gardenpixie · 22/08/2010 09:48

Morning ladies

Thanks all for lovely sympathy re ERTD. Hope everyone else who has been pounced on by it is OK?

I made full use of my un-knocked-up status by drinking enormous quantities of wine last night so am off to drink tea, sit on the sofa and try not to be sick on DH or either of the pets ...!

Thanks for doing the list Flick how are you this morning? Smile

Dayz I hope the SWI-ing did the trick for you this month!

Hope everyone else is less hungover than I am

xx

highheelsandequations · 22/08/2010 09:51

Morning all. Thanks for all your kind words. Still feeling crap but not quite as desperate as yesterday. Thanks for doing the list Flick, have changed myself to CD0 as I'm still just spotting so assuming BFSWCBFERTD will appear properly later today or tomorrow. At least it means I don't have to spend my Sunday writhing in agony and clutching a hot water bottle!

Dayz hope you survive the 2ww without going completely insane! Tante sorry about the w*nker GP, hope your next appointment is better.

Hi to everyone else, sorry if I've missed your news when I was buried under my duvet yesterday.

Waves at garden and Tiger, thanks for keeping me sane and making me smile yesterday morning :)

highheelsandequations · 22/08/2010 09:58

x posts...

Womanly thanks for the kind words and also the HSG info. That's really useful and good to know. I have a feeling I will end up having to go from work and then back to work after (depending on the timing) so will not be at my most relaxed but will do my best. How are you feeling? Are you completely crazy with the waiting yet? Are you planning on testing soon?

Garden sorry you're feeling [pukey face], I joined you in the wine last night but must have been reasonably responsible as I have managed to avoid the hangover, or my alcohol tolerance is increasing :) Think I must be the only woman who's alcohol intake has actually increased thanks to ttc :o Have an alka seltzer and a day of living tv on the couch.

TigerseyeMum · 22/08/2010 10:41

OK, so a fat arse is not a symptom of pregnancy :( Oh well, there's always next month....off out for the day with friends and dogs.

Hugs to all xxx

felicityFlick · 22/08/2010 11:23

Am back for a quick pop in, the weekend is much more manageable for catching up :)

I'm ok thanks garden I too had a little too much to drink last night. Not feeling terrible on the scale of my hangovers which are usually horrendous but I certainly can tell I was drinking last night! Yucky. It's the evening here now so we are just about to have a bbq with our neighbours and I'll try and skype my mum and dad too. Hope you are feeling ok and enjoying the day of 'rest'!

Glad you're not feeling too rubbish higheels and also glad you had a few glasses of wine too last night. I think I am trying to tempt fate by drinking in the 2ww like someone else said earlier on Hmm

Hope you're ok womanly- I think you're doing a grand job of not being too crazy and obsessing on pregnology.

Will pop in before bed, hope you're all having a nice day xx

kkas · 22/08/2010 12:42

thanks for all the kind words re new job :) especially from cherrycobbler i really hope what happened to your friend happens to me too! but i know how you feel about missing the timing. so frustrating!

hi aries good to hear from you. i know exactly how you are feeling re new people coming and going, but i'm glad that there are a few of us "oldies" still around :) hope you feel more like joining in soon but if not, that's ok too!

claireinthecommunity not sure if you're still lurking but if so, i do think about you and hope you are doing well :)

hi to everyone else. hope you're having a nice weekend :)

pinklady76 · 22/08/2010 12:56

Hi everyone!

Angry Angry for highheels florin Josie and garden sorry about the arrival of FERTD. Boo hiss.

cherry glad the reflexology went well Smile Sorry about the bad timing of the ov'ing and swi. At least there is an explanation so you aren't aimlessly wondering about the whys and hows.

Hope everyone is having a good weekend Smile

highheelsandequations · 22/08/2010 19:26

Oh for f*cks sake would this bloody period just start already!!!!!

CaveMum · 22/08/2010 19:35

Evening lovely ladies, just checking in.

I'm afraid to report that, despite promising signs, ERTD has not shown up. I'm now, naturally Hmm convincing myself that all kinds of things are wrong with me (damn you Google [shakes fist]!) so I've decided to make a Drs appointment just so I can talk things through. After that I think I will book myself an acupuncture or reflexology session, whatever the Chinese specialists think will help me more.

I'm one of those people that needs to feel like I'm doing something - if in doubt throw the kitchen sink at it!

Sorry for the me me me post (yet again), but all I can think of at the moment is this broken body of mine! Who knows, perhaps the threat of a Drs visit will invoke the Law of Sod and ERTD will turn up!

(((Hugs))) to all x.

Ariesgirl · 22/08/2010 19:44

Just to clarify, it's not to do with new people coming in. Please don't think that. I am nice honest I just ever think I'll get up the duff. Sigh. And I don't want to just be a moany sarcastic grump.

CaveMum · 22/08/2010 20:03

Aries! so nice to hear from you. I totally understand what you are saying, as I'm sure does everyone else. Please don't disappear into the ether altogether though (((hugs))).

gardenpixie · 22/08/2010 20:05

Oh Aries I am sorry you are feeling down. It is lovely to hear from you and totally understand if you need a break from everything. I know there's not much anyone can say to make the awfulness of TTC for ages any better so I'll just fix you a virtual drink and leave it at the bar for you when you're ready

My DH and I stopped using contraception over 2 and a half years ago (although we only started making a concerted effort with charting and timed SWI-ing etc 9 cycles ago now) and it can just get so achingly hopeless. But I am SURE it'll work out for all of us Smile

Highheels how are you doing? Sorry for impertinent question but I'm just thinking ... crampiness but no ERTD after ERTD is due ... is that usual for you or might there be something else going on? Of a much more exciting nature ...?

Cavey I think you're right to go to the Drs - it will, as you say, either tempt ERTD to arrive or at least give you the chance to see if there's anything they can do to help.

Tiger I am SURE a large bottom MUST be a sign of impending pregnancy even if not as definite a sign as a positive HPT!

Big waves to everyone else - sorry for short post, still nursing hangover Blush

LankyLegs · 22/08/2010 20:24

Happy Sunday evening Frolickers!

Sorry no time for a catch up but will try tomorrow! Can someone update me to Cycle #11 CD 3 (or CD4 if it's tomorrow) as ERTD arrived on Friday.

Sorry for all who FERTD arrived (Highheels) hope you have all wallowed in wine and choccy.

Will be back later!

womanlytales · 22/08/2010 21:19

Just a quick message for cave.. glad u are going to see ur doc, hope he will be able to provide some direction. big hug.
Lanky- sorry about ertd showing up, best of luck with this cycle.
Highheels- the not knowing is so tough.. baby dust to u.
Have been browsing other threads... am terribly envious of the august bus..where there's a flood of bfps....when will this envy go away? Night, night frolickers, best of luck to all those posing this week.

Florin · 22/08/2010 23:16
