Silly crazy I was just about to come on and tell you all that Youth Code is on offer in Boots (down from £15 to £10)! I also bought the Roc Foaming wash and toner.

The only thing I swear by is my moisturiser which is Biore Shine Control

I've also started using Bare Minerals make up. The Mineral Veil is great if you want to control shine without feeling like you're caked in make up.

gardenpixie · 20/08/2010 14:26

Crazy the Genefique stuff is a more concentrated version of the active ingredienet in Youth Code so you did well! Later this year though, L'Oreal are bringing out a serum that is the same concentration as Genefique but costs half the price. The ingredients are exactly the same. So if you like the Genefique, you can grab some of the new Youth Code serum when it's out!

Hi Lanky sorry you are overly busy at work Sad Hope it isn't too stressful!

Josie sorry about your BFN but no ERTD means pg is definitely on the cards still! Grin

I am going to hold off with the POAS for as long as poss I think so def not doing it today. Partly because I'm dreading a BFN and partly because I was planning to spend the rest of the day on my sofa rather than walking to the shops to buy a HPT.

Is extreme laziness and generally slatterny behaviour a SIGN? Must check pregnology to investigate the significance of sofa addiction and a penchant for comfy clothes ...

Big waves to everyone xx

crazybutterflylady · 20/08/2010 14:47

cavey I use the Laura Mercier version of that make up and LOVE IT. It always works better on oily skin (for once we have an advantage!)

and garden that's exciting news, thank you! Ooh I feel like I have insider info :) just like when I found out Chanel owns bourjois and their products are just as good...! Wink

TEST! TEST! TEST! TEST!

(I'm not helping am I?!!)

felicityFlick · 20/08/2010 15:12

Love all the skin care chat! But OMG bombshell crazy Chanel own bourjois?! How did I not know this. I always spend more than I mean to in boots crazy- it is my favourite place! I miss it so much. My luteal phase is often 18 days which is very long but 'normal' is between 12 and 16.

garden You are lucky to be having a day at home on the sofa :) It's definitely a sign! Def hold out as log as you can until you test. I speak from experience.

Sorry about BFN Josie but it's not over yet and sorry about your FERTD florin. Enjoy your holidays hon xxx

Congrats on your job kkas I was wondering about you when I did the list.

Thinking about you too zippys- hope you're ok.

lanky don't work too hard chick- missing your posts already! This work malarky is not good for us- I want a job like gardens

cave I laughed at you looking like you had the pox- I bet you don't love!

TanteAC · 20/08/2010 16:37

Hey all!
Blimey, I have missed loads by not lolling on sofa with laptop on knee all day dipping in and out so regularly as I sort out my admin tasks!

Don't have time to say howdy to you all personally as am leaving in a couple of moments for DH's bday weekend ad ned to hide the cake in the car somewhere, but jus wanted to say hugs to all the ERTD victims and BFN and fallopian tubes still crossed for all those about to POAS! Grin

Just wanted to fill you in on the shitehawk fool that is my GP. Went yesterday for an appt, to ask for a referral (which is now my due) to a specialist. The man ACTUALLY used the words 'relax' to me. Angry

Have been trying for a year, haven't had the old ERTD in more than that, hormones up the left and am early thirties. Doing everything else right lifestyle-wise, and not obssessing about it either. (well, sort of Wink )

Was so hurt. But just walked out and asked for an appt with a different doc for next week as can't be arsed wasting time with this arsewipe man.

Anyways!! 'Tis the weekend so f**k it! Went to pick up DH's cake and found a lovely skirt, top and shoes that matched it perfectly, so I bought them Grin

Will clock in with all you lovely frolickers after the weekend, have a good one!

(sorry for the MY NEWS ONLY post! Blush is only time restrictions, I promise!)

CaveMum · 20/08/2010 16:40

Tante loving the fact that your outfit matches the cake {wink]

gardenpixie · 20/08/2010 19:20

Tante what an idiot your GP is. He actually said "relax"???? You did absolutely the right thing by asking to see another Dr - anyone who can be that shite is clearly not worth a second more of your time.

Excellent work on the shopping front though!

Happy Fridays everyone - is it cocktail o'clock yet ...? Grin

JosieSmith1 · 20/08/2010 19:33

Dagnamit! ERTD as arrived. Sad

Oh well, at least I know for definite finally. And I have another month of doing whatever I want to and DH and I have decided to really go for it next month

Toriajayne · 20/08/2010 20:42

Tante What a complete arse, well done on asking for another Dr. I'm shaking my head at all these healthcare professionals who seem to not care a bit about their patients!

Josie I'm sorry. Here's to next month though, someone said earlier that 2 is a lucky prime number so best of luck! Meantime, I'm sure there's booze around here somewhere...

Lanky I echo the others, don't work too hard! My work are mental atm as well as someone just packed up and left with one week's notice so those of us stupid enough to have done the training are in every hour the place is open, fun times when every fecker and their dog is toting cherub-like children around the damn city :( (sorry, that got a bit woe is me, had a mad five minutes earlier about an aquaintance who's upduffed that nearly had me in the back office in tears, need a break!)

kkas Congratulations on the new job!

I'm just in from anniversary dinner. OH picked Italian which was a lovely thought until I looked at the menu and realised how much I should be avoiding. Decided on four cheese ravioli, smoked salmon pasta, tiramisu and a latte to see if fate wants to be tempted and help me out Wink

TomboyWife · 20/08/2010 22:04

Evening ladies!

Tante so sorry to hear about your w*nker of a GP. The male ones especially seem to be lacking in the giving-a-crap skills sometimes. I hope the new doctor is better.

Josie and Florin sorry about ERTD. Sad

I should make risotto more often. It seems to be quite the conversation piece! Oh, and just to clarify, DH helped with the wine. I didn't drink 4/5 of the bottle by myself. (Well, not on that day anyway...)

No signs of ovulation yet, but this is more or less when I ov'ed last cycle, so the SWI will be commencing in earnest now.

MrsWajs · 20/08/2010 22:22

Aww thanks Kkas :) And well done on your new job - knew you'd get it!!

Crazy Had to laugh out loud at your Genefique purchase this afternoon, you are a woman after my own heart!!

Mornin all. I've een so busy with work I haven't been able to bob on all week.

So far I am on day 29.....dun dun duuuun. I think the FERTD is on its way though. Give it another day and I'll be bent over, cramping and moaning and cursing.

Hope everyone is well, not read back yet.

Morning Frolickers how is everyone? Hope you are all well?

So ERTD got me this morning Sad although am actually not feeling too down as it means my LP was 14 days this cycle which is great! Thanks everyone for the tips re vitB6, seems to have worked brilliantly. And ERTD arriving also means I start clomid on Monday ... which is sort of quite exciting!

Hope I've got the list right - please shout if not! Florin I wasn't sure if ERTD had actually pounced yet so I left you up at the top of this list just in case! Is that OK?

Big saturday waves to everyone Grin xx

TigerseyeMum · 21/08/2010 09:46

Actually, as it says in the list above I am day 32 Blush silly me...

I think I ov'd on day 15 so ERTD is prepared and waiting to leap out at me.

Does anyone have a Mini Cooper? Am thinking of buying one.

TigerseyeMum · 21/08/2010 09:49

Sorry about ERTD pixie but as you say, good about the Chlomid.

My referral to my endo gynae was never received by the hospital so I waited a month for nothing :( They said they they would fax it Thursday though so I hope I get an appointment quickly.

This has happened so often with GP and hospital letters, where do they get to????

gardenpixie · 21/08/2010 10:23

Tiger that's a bit rubbish - losing letters? Grrr. Fingers crossed they put you on the top of the pile when they receive the fax!

I do struggle with that type of thing though - if I lost letters / forgot to fix appts etc as regularly as GPs do, I'm fairly sure I wouldn't have a job!

Promising that you are on CD32 though - how exciting!

I am hoping that the combination of clomid and this being my 9th cycle will be lucky. I know 9 isn't a prime number, but its square route is ... can any mathmaticians tell me if that counts from the prime number / baby dust perspective?

Grin
highheelsandequations · 21/08/2010 10:56

Apologies in advance for the me me me post.

So BFCERTD (definitely deserves more than one epletive this month) is arriving. Started spotting this morning. At least the agonising cramps haven't started yet. So promptly burst into tears this morning and have now been crying on and off for the past 2 hours. Seems that even with the clomid, even when I do ovulated and we SWI on the right days (fairly certain we did) I can't get pregnant. I'm also now thinking I may have a short luteal phase as I ovulated somewhere between CD16-18 which would mean luteal phase of only 10-12 days. Did somebody mention vitamins can help with this? So I am now so fed up and just want to curl up in a ball and get pissed and cry. And scream and shou "why me" a lot. And watch films and programmes with babies in them so I can cry some more. DP has tried to be understanding and given me cuddles but he's a typical man really in that the only way he knows to comfort is with the "oh well, cheer up, it'll be alright". I really don't know how much longer I can keep going through this and am actually thinking about giving up. I know that it's not been that long and plenty of people get pregnant after longer than this but sometimes this feels like too much to go through month after month after month. Maybe I should jut resign myself to the fact that I am barren and have a useless body.

Sorry for the me post. Glad to hear cave's good news and sorry to those of you got by the BFCERTD. Will try and come back later in a more cheery mood.
:( :( :( :(

gardenpixie · 21/08/2010 11:04

Highheels I am so sorry about i)BFCBCSUFERTD (I added some more in there for you) and ii) that it's hitting you so badly this cycle.

I know there's not much that can make it any better ... did you say this was your 3rd cycle of clomid? Are you / DH having further tests before the next round?

Sending enormous hugs and big vats of wine xx

highheelsandequations · 21/08/2010 11:20

Thanks garden. Yes this was cycle 3. Don't think DP is having any more tests, his results were not perfect but good enough. I think I've to go for a HSG then I'm not sure if they're wanting to try another round of clomid or what. Really need to make sure I ask lots of questions if we get to see the consultant again, I think I was a little overwhelmed last time. I know it's not the end of the world and we've only tried the clomid for 3 months and there's plenty of stuff we can do still but I was so excited to get those magic pills and the doctors seemed to think that would be all we would need. Sorry you've been 'got' as well. Hope the clomid is lucky for you though. Think I might tuck into that wine now.
xx

gardenpixie · 21/08/2010 11:28

Highheels it is crazy isn't it that even with everything working perfectly, it can still take ages to fall pg. How do we survive as a race?

Is the HSG to test fallopian tubes? I had a hycosy before getting the prescription for clomid. FWWIW, my consultant recommended a hycosy rather than an HSG because you can still SWI as it is an ultrasound rather than x-rays.

And they do say that the month after the clomid is a lucky one ...!

I'll definitely join you in a glass or three of vino ... x

gardenpixie · 21/08/2010 11:43

Highheels sorry, me again ... I like a total dufus I forgot to reply to your question re LP and vitB6. My LP is usually 8 to 10 days but various lovely ladies on the thread recommended vitB6 which I took this cycle and it's gone up to 14 days. So it's definitely worth a try ... Now, back to that pinot ...

highheelsandequations · 21/08/2010 11:51

garden yes the HSG is to test my tubes are all clear, not sure why they didn't do one before the first round, maybe in case it wasn't necessary (or the NHS saving money?). Don't think I've a choice between the HSG and hycosy but might ask. I've heard about the cycle after clomid being lucky as well so might wait a couple of weeks before phoning the clinic so we can try this month too. Thanks for the B6 info, will add it to my tesco shop this week.

Ariesgirl · 21/08/2010 11:58

Hello everyone . Sorry for absence - I've been feeling a bit hopeless. I like what you've done with the ERTD acronym. Sorry to everyone else who has been having a hard time too, e.g. highheels.

Anyway, I can't keep up and I'm just a mardy cow anyway, but wanted to pop in and say hi and good luck.

TigerseyeMum · 21/08/2010 12:09

highheels don't give up. It can happen. It'll catch you when you don't expect it.

I know I should be FERTD any day now but I don't feel like I will. Which is either to do with coming off the pill or.....

I am taking ridiculous symptom-spotting to the extreme - this morning I managed to convince myself that my suddenly-ample bottom is a symptom of PG Hmm

I think it's more to do with food than bonking!

highheelsandequations · 21/08/2010 12:09

Hi Aries, sorry you're feeling so hopeless. Thanks for the sympathy. Feel free to wallow in a pit of self loathing with me, or to run away and hide in your duvet (I'd offer you mine to hide in but then you might think I'm weird)
