Spotting is slightly heavier this morning and I've got mild cramps so don't think I need a lack of a line on a stick to know I'm not pregnant.
So on the bad side I'm not pregnant and I cried myself to sleep
On the good side I'm going on hols tomorrow so can drink lots without feeling guilty
Still feeling very sorry for myself though and to top it off someone at work is bringing there baby in today just what I need! I will be the grumpy woman in the corner concentrating on answering the phone. Will let myself be grumpy until this afternoon when friends arrive so we can start our holiday will def need a pornstar cocktail then to perk myself up!

Toriajayne · 20/08/2010 08:02

cave That's great news!

Flick and Josie my fingers are still crossed for you both!

crazybutterflylady · 20/08/2010 08:32

Aww Florin hug hug. Thing is, at least your holiday won't be full of morning sickness and nerves now. I know it sounds flippant but I think next month is a better bet anyway so you can enjoy your holiday properly and then get down to it :)

xx

JosieSmith1 · 20/08/2010 08:40

Morning everyone.

Still no sign of ERTD, if it doesn't arrive today I am officially late! I have no idea whether it's coming or not.

I'm very very tempted to POAS in the morning if it hasn't arived today so might buy a pack of 2 and try one in the morning then one sunday morning depending on results/arrival of ERTD.

JosieSmith1 · 20/08/2010 09:02

Thought you might all like some friday morning crazy symptom spotting!

Last night I could smell olbas oil in the bedroom, which we haven't had for months so obviously my nose is extra sensitive at the minute, also I could smell chinese food in the kitchen at work when no-one had it.

Also, someone at work noticed I have some colour on my arms, and being naturally the whitest person you've ever met, my skin must be becoming more pigmented and I must be starting to glow

Grin Grin Grin

crazybutterflylady · 20/08/2010 09:20

Well Josie you are definitely pregnant :)

Lets hope this is the start of those August BFPs!!

I am ovulating... I have just informed MrC that he is on duty tonight although I had told him today he could have a day off :)

gardenpixie · 20/08/2010 09:30

Morning Frolickers,

Cavey that is such good news about your DH. You must be really thrilled. Hurrah!

On the skincare front, I totally agree about Liz Earle - the little cloths are gorgeous. For really greasy skin, Roc's foaming cleanser is great because it gets rid of the grease and the retinol in it makes the skin busy producing nice things like elastin and collagen (according to the sciencey people who worked on this project with me)so it stops producing as much sebum.

L'Oreal's Youth Code serum is also fantastic as it does all the anti fine lines stuff etc and is quite mattifying under normal moisturiser or foundation.

Hope that helps!

Florin Sad about FERTD. I hope you are OK and can put your energy into enjoying your hols

Flick sorry about your BFN - let's hope it turns into a BFP soon!

I haven't POAS'd yet ... I am being a wuss and putting it off as I am pretty sure I am not pg. Feeling a bit crampy this morning so am expecting ERTD to show up soon. If it hasn't appeared today then I will POAS tomorrow (or later today if I can't stop obsessing)!

Highheels hurrah that everything is working! And enormous WOW about the shoe room ... might mention that to Mr Garden; I am sure it would be more productive to fill our spare room with my shoes than with things like guests etc.

Josie your super sensitive smelling powers sound very positive!

Big waves to everyone else! And will keep you posted re any POAS / ERTD action ...

xxx

crazybutterflylady · 20/08/2010 09:36

Morning garden. Totally admire your patience! I really think you are, so you have to put me out of my misery!! (selfish, moi?)

Nicking your advice to cavey... that's very interesting about the ROC stuff. I just bought the neutrogena pink grapefruit stuff (marketing man's dream...see an advert, buy it) but I will definitely try that one next time as I do produce excessive sebum :)

and I might try the Youth Code before the Estee Lauder since it's a lot cheaper!

Keep us informed! xx

JosieSmith1 · 20/08/2010 09:59

Hee hee, just trying to keep everyone amused with my symptom spotting Grin

Good luck Garden! If you POAS early I will probably not be far behind you as I have no willpower whatsoever Grin

Florin sorry about ERTD Sad.

I'm still waiting and have some cramping but nothing that's lasting so I'm Confused but desperate for ERTD not to appear! Had the same funny feelings yesterday and nothing then so will wait and see! yeah right

gardenpixie · 20/08/2010 10:06

Hello crazy my will power is weakening rapidly! I may well be rubbish and pop to the shops after watching eastenders on iplayer finishing some work...

I have been taking vitB6 though and wonder whether it might have extended my luteal phase? Not sure if it can extend it beyond 14days or does it just keep it the right length? Confused

Josie I am with you on the symptom spotting! This morning our dog was extra cuddly and got a little funny about DH snuggling up to me - he tried to nose him away from me. So DH is now convinced I am pg and that the hound has gone into protection mode! Then he started cracking bad jokes about lab(rador) tests etc etc

crazybutterflylady · 20/08/2010 10:13

I thought the luteal could only be 14 days, but on pregnology you can change the length of your 'usual' LP which makes me think it could be longer. It doesn;t matter anyway because YOU ARE PREGNANT :)
...sorry to tempt fate but I just have a feeling.

JosieSmith1 · 20/08/2010 10:15

Ha ha Garden Grin

I've just got some cramping so convinced ERTD is gonna arrive today Sad but there's hope yet. Can you get cramping if you're pg? Grin

CaveMum · 20/08/2010 10:17

garden thanks for the advice!
I've always assumed that you are better off using products all from the same line (cleanser, toner, moisturiser etc), but is this just a marketing ploy?

I really need to do something, my skin is awful at the moment - I look like I have Pox!

The one thing I do love, and always works, is a Chocolate Mousse Mask! I can't remember the brand but they are the ones yo can buy in individual sachets in Boots and the like. It is fabulous and smells so real! It's very tempting to lick if off your fingers!

crazybutterflylady · 20/08/2010 10:29

cavey when I get a breakout I use bio oil under my night moisturiser and it clears it up within 2 days. You might be worried about putting oil on your face when you have oily skin, but a woman once told me it's like the food for your skin, and the moisturiser is the water Grin

gardenpixie · 20/08/2010 10:30

Hi Cavey yes sadly the whole 'use everything from one brand' idea is a heavy bit of marketing ... Unless your skin responds well to a particular ingredient and you a find a brand that specialises in it (like ROC and retinol)

The other thing you could try if you need to give your skin a bit of a blitz is Vita-C one minute facial

www.jason-natural.com/products/vitamin_c_care.php

It's quite pricey but lasts for months. It has vitC and loads of antioxidants in it so it disolves nasties and makes your skin really soft and smooth (quite a challenge for my leathery old face)!

Truffkin · 20/08/2010 11:05

Ha, ha Josie you're cracking me up with your symptom spotting! My hubby is convinced he has super sperm that will be producing a BFP in lightning quick speed so he definitely has much to learn about the whole process.

Cavey great news about the posting, you'll be all systems go now!

I have very dry skin so can't really offer good advice on the products, although I use quite a few things from the Avene range and i noticed yesterday that they do stuff for oily skin as well.

Happy Friday people (it's so close, I can almost taste the weekend) I am eagerly awaiting the arrival of my bezzie today and have much wine drinking, gossiping and general giggling to do whilst I have her for 24 hours Grin

CaveMum · 20/08/2010 11:09

garden thanks very much! Sorry to be a pain picking your brains!
I've found an online stockist for the Vita-C 1 Minute Facial so have ordered it. Not too pricey - some of the stuff I was using from Collin was WAY more expensive!
I shall nip off to Boots in my lunchbreak re the ROC cleasner - I'm sure they stock it there!

gardenpixie · 20/08/2010 11:25

Hi Cavey don't apologise! You are not being a pain at all - I am glad that my nerdy investigation of the market can be of use! Smile x

JosieSmith1 · 20/08/2010 11:25

Snap Truffkin! Grin My DH says his family are super fertile! There's four of them, and now he has three nephews and 2 neices so maybe there's truth in that!

My friend at work just told me she's taking a year out to go travelling from November! Talk about a bombshell! So now I'm really emotional (another symptom Grin)! Hope I can tell her I'm pg before she leaves!

kkas · 20/08/2010 11:59

i'm back and just popping in to update the list! FERTD got me last week on first day of hols but didn't hit me too hard as i also got my job offer that day! i've resigned my current job now and am just working out my notice, which is technically 12 weeks, but i will probably leave sometime in october. may take it a bit easy on the TTC front but not give it up entirely, as it has taken this long and who knows what will happen. if i get pg during my notice or probationary period, oh well - i will still be Grin and i'm sure it will all work itself out.

anyway - i'll try to catch up throughout the course of the day, but just want to congratulate mrswajs as i see you have had a BFP!!!!! so happy for you :)

Oooh, congrats on the new job kkas! Hope you had a lovely holiday x

JosieSmith1 · 20/08/2010 13:19

I am a bad bad person!

I couldn't resist any longer! I PdOAS. BFN Sad. But still no sign of ERTD so Confused. I'm sorry to keep going on, just can't seem to think about anything else at the minute!

LankyLegs · 20/08/2010 13:37

Hello frolickers!

Ooh what a morning - I doubt there will be much posting from me from next week as I have to hit the ground running with this new project. Jee whizz they are in a tiz - not looking forward to it to say the least.

Just wanted to say happy POAS-ing to all. Sorry Flick and Josie about the BFN's - but you both know its too early! Esp you Flick!! Keep the faith though.

Loving the chat about all the skin care - glad I have been out of the loop this morning as I would have spent more money! My skin has been awful since I have been off the pill and my thyroid playing up.

Florin sorry about cramps and ERTD impending :( But enjoy your holiday - like you said it will be guilt free at least. Have a wonderful time!

kkas lovely to hear from you and congrats on the job! As you said it will work out with the whole pregnancy when it happens - you can't plan to the nth degree sometimes. Have a lovely holiday too!

Waves to highheels, Crazy, Garden, Truff , Cave , toria* and everyone else.

Humph

crazybutterflylady · 20/08/2010 13:53

Owwwwuh i was being so good, going into Boots with the sole intention of buying Youth Code. Stopped at Lancome... saw free gift offer. Told lady I wanted something like Youth Code (£10). Bought Genefique (£53).

DAMMIT.

THIS is why I am poor.

JosieSmith1 · 20/08/2010 13:59

I know Lanky I know! Blush, I had a huge moment of weakness Grin. It's over for now. Grin
