Cave thanks for that info I didn't know that Blush will be asking for one next time I'm at the GP's.

I hope it is ERTD then you can crack on with TTC next month I think have started spotting too and am so relieved. Didn't appreciate what it would be like to have long cycles so can empathise with why you are feeling down about it.

Keep us posted xx

gardenpixie · 19/08/2010 17:40

Ladies, SUCH a lot to catch up on!

Lanky I was doing a pres on all manner of skincare products and brands from the sublime to the cheapy ones. Very good excuse to go shopping for lovely treats though - managed to expense quite a few lancome and clinique goodies!

Love the suggestion that we go for a bulk discount with Cavey's vet - I'm definitely up for that! Count me in...

All those about to POAS good luck!

Still no news from me ... but about to have an RL glass of wine to revive me from my mammoth day of boring people by droning on about stuff attention grabbing, captivating presenting.

Looking forward to hearing about everyone's BFPs tomorrow xx

CaveMum · 19/08/2010 17:49

gardenpixie I hate to intrude on your downtime but would be interested to know about your findings. Not sure how in depth you go but I have REALLY oily skin and have real trouble getting products that help. I've tried Clinique and Clarins but neither did anything for me, I tried Collin for a while and it did help but it is SO expensive. I'm trying No7 at the mo but it doesn't seem to do much. Not sure if my current outbreak is related to my coming off the Pill as I have lots of spots on my neck, chest and shoulders.

Any ideas?! Sorry to pick your brains!

pinklady76 · 19/08/2010 17:51

Afternoon ladies! have had a hectic day at work. was in a different place from normal so was the new girl which is always awkward! have just walked the dogs and while they cool down thought i would pop in and catch up.
Wanted to say to womanly and zippys that there was no excuse for how you got treated by the nhs the other day. Big hugs for you both and a hard foot stamping for the nhs. and zippys hope you and Mr Zippys are having positive thoughts for Mr Z's swimmers. There is loads you can do as the other frolickers have said. sending you positive pink vibes Smile

cave Great news about the cramping! Never thought i would say that! and also about dh on board with the ttc. Bless him! Bet you are all smiley now! here have some pink baby dust and a cocktail on me! You both deserve it xx hug hug oh and i feel like a total donut but the reference to the vet has completely gone over my head so while i go sit in the corner with my dunce cap on could you explain please Blush

crazy I am also on my second cycle so am on board with the prime number theory! Lets hope it brings us all good luck!

Welcome truffkin Great news about the wedding and the ttc! fingers crossed for you.

cherry thats fab news that you are trying reflexology. I have had it done to me a couple of times but only for relaxation. I loved it but I could have my feet played with all day! Let me know how you get on Smile

josie Sorry to hear about the bfn Sad but you know it aint over till its over so fingers crossed if you decide to test again. Smile and flick and florin hope the nerves are not getting the better of you. good luck with the testing heres some pink baby dust for you both (sprinkle sprinkle)
Heres hoping for lots of bfp's

Well no news from me really other than im off to the movies tonight to watch Toy Story 3 so that should be good. I'm a big kid at heart so i should be in my element! oh and also cos i'll have bought chocolate so im sorted! cartoons and chocolate mmmm heaven!

Waves and Smile to everyone else.

Toriajayne · 19/08/2010 17:58

Flick and Lanky trying to hold off until Sat or Sun but still on for that weekend in general :) I ovulated on the 13th-14th going on the usual symptoms (EWCM, pain in my abdomen that I generally get at ovulation, libido going through the roof lol)

truffkin Pain Au Chocolat will do just fine, any left? :)

Josie fingers crossed for you lovely :)

CaveMum · 19/08/2010 18:07

Pinklady I was referring to when the vet comes in and PG's the mares to bring them back into season - perhaps we could all do with a jab to get our cycles sorted!

crazybutterflylady · 19/08/2010 18:27

cavey have you tried Aveda? I have reeeally oily skin too apart from two very dry patches on my cheeks and I find it works wonders. Other brands that work for me and I use (I rotate my products because i am an impulse buyer so my skin doesn't get used to em) are Liz Earle which I LOVE and Dermalogica which is great for our skin types, just has very boring packaging Grin

If you need specific product suggestions just email me. And thanks for the CBFM offer. I will most gladly take you up on it next month!

Back on topic anyway... I have a feeling we are going to have an influx of BFPs this month, I can feel it in my bones!!!

Hi everyone else... and good luck to those POAS xx

CaveMum · 19/08/2010 18:35

crazy I'll check those out, thanks.

I don't have the CBFM, I've lost track of who does actually!

Definitely with you on the rush of BFPS for this month too. I've got a feeling - or perhaps that IS trapped wind Wink

MrsWajs · 19/08/2010 18:48

Hi guys - I had the CBFM but lucky has it back, think she was possibly e-baying it to buy baby stuff!! :)

Tres excited about the testing tomorrow morning, I'll be here with bells on to see what's what!!x

crazybutterflylady · 19/08/2010 19:20

Sorry I meant Lanky's CBFM not cavey
I must stop signing in from my iPhone as I get all confused Blush

cherrycobbler · 19/08/2010 19:32

Ooh exciting re the POAS brigade!! Best of luck to all.
Will def let you how reflexology goes - have had it before and loved it but didn't help much with what I had it for (headaches). have also been booked in for quick chat with their fertility acupuncture woman so will update you on what she says too!
I am soooo tempted to have a peek on Amazon for the CBFM!! (not that I an turning my nose up at your very lucky one luckyseven but I get overly excited at spending money online. Prob because it feels like pretend money) Was going to hold off buying one till Nov but lanky you are tempting me to break my resolve! If MrL thinks it's only £35 then it wd be wrong to tell MrCherry it's any more expensive, right?!

Happy evenings all - have escaped work, bought a healthy take away (Leon salad mmmm) and planning rubbish tv and glass of wine as DH is out. Bliss!

cherrycobbler · 19/08/2010 19:38

Ps thanks for skincare tips crazy, I have shinetastic skin and fancy a change from my trusty dermalogica. Will try Aveda next - was bought some shampoo from them as a gift once and it did smell delicious. And let me know how ToyStory is pinklady I am desperate to see it but concerned by everyone saying it will make me cry!

Florin · 19/08/2010 20:35

cavey I have really oily skin to and can really recommend Liz Earle it's wonderful stuff and smells good and comes with pretty little muslins to wash your face (which always remind me of babies!) if u get spots they do a really good on the spot thing which is made of concentrated essential oils it's smells gorgeous and works well. Use the hot clense stuff every day. Got my test from tesco's bought it with club card vouchers! Getting nervous now as I know I will be disappointed but at least I am going away on sat so that will cheer me up after!
I have been tempted by a cbfm as I love gadgets, however excuse me if I am being thick but I have an extremely high sex drive so quite happy swi every day between day 10 to day 20 and even either side it's every other day so do I need one? As as surely I cover all bases!
Dh and I walked to the local shop as dh wanted some wine and the cat decided to join us for the stroll we got some funny looks from passers by as the three of us strolled past. Least my very beautiful boy (that's the cat not dh) looked very handsome in his new diamonte collar I treated him to yesterday.

CaveMum · 19/08/2010 21:09

Florin thanks for the tip. I will definitely look into both the Liz Earle and Aveda.

I love this thread, where else can you talk TTC, shoes and skincare?!

highheelsandequations · 19/08/2010 21:52

Evening all,

I miss chatting here in the daytime :(

Got my blood results back, 41.3 and the sister said "you've definitely ovulated so good luck". The last two cycles when they've given me the results (27 and 23) they've said "You've probably ovulated, keep a note of when your period comes, oh, if your period comes". Am I being stupidly obsessive to get excited because she didn't mention a period this time? I hate this waiting game. Just want it to be this time next week when I should know one way or the other. Well if prime cycles are lucky, this one should be for me as it's cycle 13 plus cycle 3 of the clomid, both primes! Trying to think positively yet not get my hopes up too much, it's very difficult.

Womanly and Zippy I too am shocked and appalled by you NHS treatment. I'd thought I'd seen some insensitive doctors in the past but nothing compared to what the two of you have had to put up with.

Lanky sorry the thyroid is giving you problems and afraid I have no suggestions for how to wrap power tools, luckily men don't usually seem to bother whether their pressies are wrapped nicely. You really shouldn't fuel my madness byt saying the symptoms look promising. I know it's what I want to hear but I really need a slap around the face, possibly with my copy of Taking charge of your fertility :o Multitool thing looks like the sort of thing boys love, think my DP has something similar. How can they like this stuff? Nowhere near as exciting as shoes!!! Talking of more the more important things in life, I'm getting a shoe room when we finally finish our bedroom, how cool is that! [lucky lucky girl emoticon]

Talking of shoes, they are gorgeous Kaloki. So glad you found some.

Florin, Flick and Josie good luck with the testing, hope for an avalanche of BFPs this month! Josie I'll let you off this time for your moment of weakness with the pee sticks because next week I'll be the same :) Sorry you've not got that BFP yet but don't give up hope.

garden if you're not lucky this time here's to lucky cycle 9 and the clomid. Although I think it definitely is sounding promising for this time.

Hi to Slow and congrats on the wedding and starting ttc, welcome to the madhouse :o

Tante random SWI sounds like much more fun than the timed stuff :) How were the results? I know exactly what you mean about getting nervous, I was terrified to look at mine but my kids did me proud this year :) Shoes do not need to be walked in, they are just for making the ends of your legs look pretty!

Flick I too have loads of pant snot just now and have been the same as you thinking it's ERTD arriving (although it's too early). Don't know if this is normal for this time of the month, but doesn't feel familiar. Apologies for the overshare! The tea and cake was indeed yummy, there's more left if the pant snot discussion hasn't ruined your appetite! I am sooo jealous of your international school. I get so fed up of repeating myself over and over. Sometimes consider just taping myself "sit down, books out, stop talking, stop talking, start work, stop talking ..." and playing it back to classes!

crazy the thought of you force feeding your DH muffins to keep his strength up for SWI made me giggle. Maybe I should consider that for next time. 2 is a very special prime so hope it's lucky for you.

Tomboy I love risotto, haven't made it for ages and reading your post made me want some. Glad the rest of the wine didn't go to waste. You can't leave an open bottle, it goes off :o

Cherry let me know how the reflexology goes. I'm thinking about acupuncture so would love to hear what you're told about that, but always curious to hear about alternatives as well.

Cave so pleased you're joining the rest of us in the madness proper! And hope your signs are promising for starting ERTD (that sounds bizarre). My skin is terrible but I've found cliniques turnaround once a week system (radiance peel???) has had a big effect on my skin and wouldn't be without it now. Also after trying just about every expensive brand have found using clearasil face wash has actually worked quite well, worried it would be too harsh but I buy the sensitive stuff. The freederm gel is quite good for clearing my spots quickly too.

Truffles welcome, hope you like it here

womanly hope this is your lucky prime cycle.

pink hope your movie and chocolate were fab, sounds like a great evening :)

Okay, think that's me caught up. Hi to everyone I haven't mentioned and sorry :)

Think I'm going to watch some rubbish tv and then get an early night, the 6.20am alarm is starting to get to me. Still tomorrow it's FRIDAY so think that's definitely cocktails all round!!!!

CaveMum · 19/08/2010 22:06

One last post from me before I go to bed but I just had to share...

DH has got the posting over here that we want so Afghanistan is off radar for at least another 2 years!!!!! Yay!!!!!

It does mean that when he moves (next February) he will be living 160 miles from home, so we better make darn sure I'm pregnant by then or I could be in for a lot of driving!

cherrycobbler · 19/08/2010 22:16

Oh cave that's brilliant news! Hooray!

highheels v good re ov'ing, let's hope double prime numbers work their magic for you. Complete Envy at your shoe room - wow wow wow!!!

Liz Earle and aveda are on my weekend shopping list! Will also look at clinique thingy and freederm.

Night frolickers - hooray for Friday tomorrow!

Florin · 19/08/2010 22:46

cavey that's great new must be a relief he is not going abroad for at least another 2 years, even if it means a bit of travelling to and fro worth it if he's safe.
After a bit of poking around I thing I found very early start of brown spotting so feeling very Sad anyway it's not all over yet but I think very high chance that fertd is on it's way so I am out of testing tomorrow seems silly to waste an exensive pregnancy test when nature should take it's course in the next couple of days. Good luck to everyone else testing.

JosieSmith1 · 19/08/2010 23:13

Florin we really are alike! I've been doing the same thing Grin

I posted on here earlier but I must have logged off before it registered.

Still no ERTD but gonna wait until sunday if I can to POAS as it could arrive fri/sat

Thanks for all the luck and positive vibes for me POASing :)
It was, as predicted, a BFN. I knew it would be as it is still too early for me if it was to be a BFP I think as although my UCL is 32-33 I know I ovulated later this month so the question is WHY DID I BLOODY DO IT?!!! Grin 'cos I am an obsessed, crazy, baby lady- thats why! However, it has got it out of my system now and I can happily wait until next Friday morning which will be the end of what I think is my luteal phase. That is if FERTD does not arrive before and I am feeling decidedly grumpy and a bit teary today which is usually a sure sign that FERTD is on it's merry way! Waffle over!

cave amazing news about your dh!!! What a relief- that must be a real weight off your mind. So thrilled for you Hon. All we need now is for that bloody FERTD to make an appearance and you will be one sorted lady. Fingers crossed that the cramps are working.

lanky I am beyond excited for your CBFM :) You are gonna love it!

florin good luck today chick with POAS. I laughed at the image of you and your cat and your dh strolling to the shops together! What a cute Kitty :) I think the only think that a CBFM will do for you is confirm when/if you ov and if you already know when that is and are covering all bases then I don't reckon you do?

garden When will you put us out of our misery and POAS? Like crazy I am convinced you are up the duff. You are officially late today and I know 'cos I did the list... Seriously though, no pressure. xxx

crazy hope SWI is going well Wink remember that this is your month!

Higheels Great news about your high result and that you have def ov'd! Fingers crossed for your double prime month :) The alarm is definitely getting to me too already. Bring on the weekend!

cherry I am insanely jealous about all parts of your evening. The Leon salad, the wine and the crap telly. Allthings which are hard to get in HK :( Boo.

Right- i'll be back later but just wanted to put you out of your misery. Excited to hear the results of the POAS ers!!!

Oh lastly on the skin care topic- this is amazing. It is quite expensive nut I used to have some wrinkles on my forehead and I am not lying, they have vanished since using this. So much so that when I was at home in the summer about 5 of my friends asked me what I had been using on my skin as it looked really smooth and fresh. One even said you used to have wrinkles and now you don't- gotta love your friends hey? I must have been a right old wrinkly cow before I left the UK then!

Love to all xxx

felicityFlick · 20/08/2010 04:26

Sorry for all the typos and lack of punctuation! I am in a real rush but just had to make time for MNetting!

crazybutterflylady · 20/08/2010 06:27

Morning flick :( gutted about your BFN but it's still early... see what happens :)

I might treat myself to some of that Estee Lauder stuff... my friend has raved about it too and I do have 2 wrinkles along my forehead so worth a shot!

highheels Shock a shoe room? Man I am jealous! And that's fab news that everything seems to be working

cavey wooohoooo, that's fab news about Mr C's posting, bet you're so relieved

Florin, the cat! awww if I could get my cat to do that I am not sure I would necessarily need a baby... saying that I told Mr Crazy this morning that if he didn't sort his selective hearing whilst sleeping out there may be no baby! How come I am the only one that hears the cats crying to be let out every morning? Grrrowl! If it's a sign of what's to come with a crying baby I am not sure I could manage to not kick him! Angry

And the hot cloth cleanser is my favourite Liz Earle product too, although the whole range is to die for.

Morning to everyone else and happy Friday!... just checked in before i have to get ready for work but will pop in later!

x

CaveMum · 20/08/2010 07:16

Morning everyone. Thanks again for all the kind messages re DH's posting. It is definitely a weight off our minds. It means we can concentrate on TTC and moving house. We've agreed that we need to move before a baby arrives (1) because it would be less hassle and (2) because we want to be able to secure a decent sized mortgage and I'm not sure how being on Maternity Pay will affect that.

Flick sorry for your BFN, as you say it probably was a bit soon to test so we'll keep our fingers crossed.

Good luck to everyone getting ready to POAS and those coming up to prime SWIing time!

On "Cramp Watch" (as I've now christened it), they are continuing and feel stronger this morning. I'm refusing to get my hopes up until I see the actual evidence but things look hopeful.

Happy Friday all!
