Morning ladies!

Can you believe I now have to spend the rest of the day presenting my deck on skincare? (I felt the thrust of it should be about the toning effect of drinking vintage champagne on the epidermis but I was outvoted). So I won't be able to post again until this evening Sad

Wierdly absolutely no sign of ERTD. None. Spotting totally stopped, no cramps, no nothing. I don't think I am pg though as I have no other signs or symptoms (despite overanalysing every last twinge).

Technically I'll be late as of tomorrow so will hold off with any POAS until first thing as soon as wake up tomorrow Saturday.

Big waves to everyone and sorry for rubbish short post. Clients have arrived apparently. Best go ...

Have lovely Thursdays xx

LankyLegs · 19/08/2010 10:07

Hello my lovelies

Guess what.... it's only bloody Thursday.... which mean only 2 days til the weekend!!

Hello lovely cherry! Super excited you have booked in for reflexology - infact after reading your post you have inspired me to get back to the wellness centre near me and get some acupuncture booked in. Let us know how it goes chica.

Tante ha - love your comment... there are taxi shoes... then there are shoes that require to be lifted by 3 hot Greek gods type of shoes? Can't believe you were starring at your shoes so much that your student noticed... actually who am I kidding. I remember this one episode when I was single. It was a Friday night - had no plans and it was me and Bridget Jones on the dvd with a bottle of red wine with me in Pj's and my BRAND new shoes singing... 'all by myself.... don't wanna be all by myself annnnnnymooooore!'. And now MrLanky is here I have to curb my shoe habit big time as wardrobes are bulging. Ahh the single days....

Cave and Garden I don't how you do it but well done in getting those tablets down your bloke! I find it hard work too. I need to get mine on more swimmer friendly ones methinks. He is soo stubborn though it can be hard to get him to take normal ones... aggh. We do have a really balanced diet though and are both into eating well so we do gets lots of vits through veg and fruit etc - but its things like zinc etc that worry me!

Garden how did the presentation go? On skincare products what do you do?

Cave great news that DH is totally up for it now... it just takes them a while doesn't it. Any news on his posting? Also - am feeling your pain with this whole long cycle thing. Will be watching eagerly to see whether AC works for you.

Kaloki SHOES - bloody gorgeous! Well done on finding a pair! Can;t wait to see the whole outfit together - you must post a picture on your profile ok?!

Toria when do you ovulate? Keeping fingers crossed for you.

Shock I forget there are a few teachers on this Fred now!! You must be appalled with my crappy grammar etc. Apologies Blush

Josie - keeping a close eye on you today! Hope FERTD stays away and there is a WHOOP WHOOP due soon!

Hello to Truffkin lovely bunch of laydee's on here! Hope you get your period soon so you can jump on the wagon! Any questions just ask!

Crazy am with you hun - hope this is your cycle! I hope that I get my FERTD so that I can get onto cycle 11 which is also a prime no?!

Flick I am in ore at your organisation - truly I wish I read up more about TTC before we started like you did! Seriously am totally impressed that you have had Mr Flick on fertilaid since March! Genius woman... genius I tell you!! Glad you are keeping jet-lag at bay too. I am a management consultant and generally tend to work on projects in the business change area - helping organisations that are going through change manage their transition better! In fact am just starting a new on as of Monday so mumsnetting in the day will be pretty much non-existent as of next week :(

Hello's to Highheels Tomboy and everyone else!

Womanly and zippy's hope you are feeling a bit better today - thinking of you both.

Right - better crack on! Have good days all!

Truffkin · 19/08/2010 10:13

Thank You (and enjoy your presentation Pixie, sounds like great fun!)

Can I please be added to the list for not counting days please? For now I'm not able to and need to find out a bit more about how once AF makes an appearance.

JosieSmith1 · 19/08/2010 11:40

Thanks Lanky. My work colleagues probably think I'm nuts cos I keep running off to check ERTD hasn't arrived yet! Though now that I think about it I never counted cycle days when I was on the pill but ERTD always fell on fri/sat so mayb I've been a bit pre-emptive. Last cycle was exactly 28 days though. I might put off testing till sun if it hasn't arrived by then who am I kidding

CaveMum · 19/08/2010 13:28

Afternoon all.

Welcome to the mad house Truffkin

Womanly I haven't been to my GP yet, I figure she'll just say I've only been off the pill for 3 months and need to give it more time.

On the progesterone front, we used to do that for the mares we were trying to get in foal! If they scanned empty 14 days after being covered she'd be given an injection to bring them back into season.
Perhaps I should pop down the vets rather than to the doctor - we scanned the mares to see when they were about to ovulate, sent them to the stallion and then scanned them again 14 days later to see if they were in foal. How much easier would life be if we could do that?!

Pinklady, next time the vets in, give me a shout!

Lanky no news on DH's posting yet, should be any day now. To be fair he's always been on board the baby bus. I'm just happy that he wants to get cracking as soon as my body falls into line!

felicityFlick · 19/08/2010 13:31

Good luck with presentation crazychick and OMG about the spotting stopping. I am desperately trying not to get my hopes up for you but how good does this sound....?? I am not going to test until next friday, the 27th and CD39. I think FERTD should be arriving on Sunday and it is always there to greet me first think in the morning when I awake so if it is not there on Sunday I may freak and do a test before my designated day but at the minute I am determined to wait Hmm

lanks I am only so organised as I had to take an enforced ttc wait. Well kind of enforced... I came off my pill in November and began ttc with no idea of anything. Had first ERTD on 21st Dec and then on 23rd Dec my good friend got engaged and asked me to be a bridesmaid at her wedding. Great I hear you say... however, the wedding is in New Zealand in Feb 2011. Cue much soul searching about what we should do... decided to carry on ttc until feb as that was the last point that I could have a baby reasonably old enough to fly to NZ and attend a wedding with but cycles were very wonky with no ERTD between December and Feb so that was that plan out of the window. Decided to stop trying until June as had to take into account how many months pregnant you could be to fly etc and whilst I waited for June to arrive I busied myself with 'being prepared' hence the agnus castus, temping and fertil aid to name but a few of my obsessions! That's why I was so impatient and had to buy myself a CBFM for my first month of trying- control freak geek or what?! I'll miss your mumsnetting in the day :(

Glad you're over it womanly :) That's the sign of a true Frolicker! Bring on the prime number theory!

crazybutterflylady · 19/08/2010 14:27

Well I have had a very broody day today... first someone's kids came into work (3 and 1, and very cute!), then our friend who is due in October sent me links to all the stuff they've bought, then had to buy baby clothes in M&S, now my friend and I are playing choose a buggy.

maaaaaaaan I just want a baby.

Florin · 19/08/2010 14:37

Maybe we could all get together and arrange a bulk discount with cavey's vet? Going to get my pregnancy test tonight then test tomorrow don't hold out much hope though as no symptoms! Although I am in a prime number cycle!

JosieSmith1 · 19/08/2010 14:39

Aw crazy, sorry.

I never used to beothered but now whenever anyone mentions being pg or having a baby I get insanely jealous. It's not a good feeling.

Hope you feel better soon.

crazybutterflylady · 19/08/2010 14:44

Florin you never know. I am convinced garden is preggers and she has no symptoms either. who knows, you could be due date twins!!!

I'm ok Josie, just an impatient mare (geddit Wink ). I am enjoying the SWI anyway, although this morning one of our cats tried to get in on the action and rather killed the moment. Blush

LankyLegs · 19/08/2010 14:47

Loving the prime no's theory - its cycle 11 for me next! Bring it on!

So Flick would you rec the CBFM? Am thinking about treating myself to one - what do you think? Is it cumbersome to use? I see why you are soo clued up! I came off the pill in October so was not far ahead of you. Really thought I would be preggers by now though :( hey ho. I just had a taste of new project with a 3 hour impromptu session with the programme lead - eek - not looking forward to it!

Cave and Crazy line me up for the vet too!

Florin keep us posted on the testing chica!

I am already getting withdrawal symptoms on not being able to lurk and post in the day! Booooooo

On another note I think I have started spotting so FERTD may be on the way which btw I am pleased about as this cycle has been waaaay too long and want to get on with the SWI-ing again!

crazybutterflylady · 19/08/2010 14:52

lanky the CBFM are 1/3 off at Amazon.

Not that I have been looking or anything Blush

LankyLegs · 19/08/2010 15:01

Oh really Crazy?!

Are you going to buy one.... am going to take a look now before my next meeting!

CaveMum · 19/08/2010 15:17

There is a lucky CBFM doing the rounds on here. I can't remember who it actually belongs to but it has helped several ladies get their BFP.

There are some for sale on EBay too.

felicityFlick · 19/08/2010 15:20

lanky and crazy I well and truly recommend the CBFM. Really easy to use and small and portable so you can take with you really easily if you are staying overnight anywhere. I was a bit worried about using one as I am not technological at all but even I found it simple to use. The best thing about it for me was that it reassured me that I was ovulating and of course we were able to make sure we SWI'd on all the 'right' days.

florin It looks like I am joining you tomorrow... I have just caved in and bought a test after all of my bravado and saying I will wait I just don't think I can! The way I rationalised it to myself was by saying 'Well, if I POAS tomorrow that will get it out of my system and then I can wait to test again until my original date of next Friday' Crazy or what?!

felicityFlick · 19/08/2010 15:20

The lucky CBFM belongs to luckyseven :)

JosieSmith1 · 19/08/2010 15:27

Ha ha Flick that sounds like my sort of logic! It feels like the need to POAS builds up and up until you're desperate, then when you do you're at ease a bit until you're due to POAS properly. Hence my ealry testing on tuesday night Grin

JosieSmith1 · 19/08/2010 15:40

Ok, in the apparent absence of ERTD so far (usually here by this time of day) shall I

a) frantically POAS
b) Wait until sunday as when I was on the pill, ERDT always arrived fri/sat

Argh! Slowly going mad! Grin

stegasaurus · 19/08/2010 15:47

Womanlytales Sorry your consultant was so crap. It is definitely possible to induce bleeding with progesterone. I was prescribed it as I hadn't had a period in months when I saw the dr so couldn't start clomid unless I used it to induce a bleed so I would have a day 2 to start on.

Kaloki Wow, those are fantastic shoes.

I wasn't tested for rubella immunity (forgotten now who asked about this) until my second cycle of clomid. The dr wrote out a form for it with the forms for hormone level blood tests. Am also surprised no one thought about it earlier as my GP knew I had bee TTC for over a year and had done bloods himself. How many women aren't immune if we are all immunised? I had the jab when I was about 14 and also was talked into having MMR a few years ago as I lived in an area highly populated with students who apparently are high risk for measles and mumps as they weren't immunised when they little.

felicityFlick · 19/08/2010 15:51

I know I said I had gone to bed but am back!

I did go to bed and saw my bottle of Agnus Castus so thought I'd pop back to tell you what it actually says cave 'Vitex (which is another name of AC) works gently. Best results obtained with continous, long -term use.' The dosage reads 'Take one capsule two or three times daily for eight to twelve weeks and thereafter take one capsule daily.' and this is for 400mg tablets.

Hope that helps.

josie I would say wait but then I'd be a hypocrite Grin

BYEEEEEE xxx

crazybutterflylady · 19/08/2010 16:06

lanky I'm not going to buy one yet, it would be a teeny bit impatient of me. I think I might say that it I'm not pg by our wedding anniversary (25/10) then I'll buy one. I think Mr Crazy would be a bit cross if I didn't give us more of a chance but I would love one NOW.

I guess most of those on eBay are lucky too otherwise they wouldn't be for sale :)

crazybutterflylady · 19/08/2010 16:11

...oh and good luck for testing in the morning flick!!! Am keeping everything crossed for a huge BFP Grin can't wait to check in first thing!

You too Josie, let us know!

Steg it was me who asked about rubella. I told the nurse at the time that I'd had the jab and she said that didn't guarantee immunity. I'm a bit worried now. I think if FERTD comes this month I'll book in for one.

The more I think about it though... can it be that big a deal if not everyone is told about it. I mean everyone knows about folic acid etc... how come the rubella thing is not common knowledge? Confused

LankyLegs · 19/08/2010 16:32

WAH! Flick good luck testing tomorrow chica. Am sooooo very excited for you! Keep us posted pleeeeease! And Josie too!

Ladies - I caved and just purchased one.... Hey am into month 11 of trying so surely it's ok right? MrLanky is going to kill me but I am going to lie and tell him it was £35 Shock come on... we all have to do these things. Still have a few new items of clothing shoved under the bed which I need to bring out slowly!

Waves to steg

Crazy did you have a rubella jab at school - you know the one that takes an indent from your arm and leaves you with a horrible mark. I agree - I would wait to get one too - give yourselves a few months yet! If I get my BFP next month then you can borrow mine if you like!

Am I right in saying if you have had that then you are immune? Or should we ask just incase?

CaveMum · 19/08/2010 16:37

Lanky I was tested for rubella immunity years ago (when getting some boosters). Just because you've had the jab it doesnt mean you are automatically immune.

Thanks for the update on Agnes Flick Wink and good luck with the testing.

I'm trying not to get my hopes up but I have been getting cramps off and on all day (at first I thought it could be trapped wind Blush) so I am hopeful that ERTD could be around the corner.
