alien06 · 14/08/2010 11:29

PS Congrats Mrs W sooo happy for you :0)

TigerseyeMum · 14/08/2010 13:46

Hi all, have a good weekend....

It seems a long time between ovulation and the ERTD, it seems longer than I remember it! My skin has gone madly teenage though so I guess the ERTD can't be far away!

Hope all are well....Tis freezing here. I reckon a hot bath is in order.

gardenpixie · 14/08/2010 14:27

Hello Frolickers hope you are all well.

Not much news from me. I had some cramps and spotting this morning and, like an idiot, my mind went straight to mythical implantation spotting but then realised it was more likely to be an impending FERTD and cramps from the tummy bug. When will I learn?

Alien glad Dubai is treating you well - can you send us some sun please?

Tigerseye hope you warmed up!

Big waves to everyone else. I'm off to console myself with virtual fizz as sadly the real stuff is making me barf at the moment. Curse the bug!

Happy Saturdays all round xx

TanteAC · 14/08/2010 15:38

Hey all!
WOW I don't clock in for a day and a half and someone goes and gets up the duff! Congrats mrswajs!
And good luck to all the others a-waiting...

I am at the mo looking after my week old niece, and have been playing 'mummy' all day. Sh is EDIBLE! Just the tonic after a few shitty days, emotions wise. It's going to be all worth it if I get one of these at the end...(plus will know how to do all the poo nappies, etc! Grin)

Hope you are all having a lovely weekend...xox

alien06 · 14/08/2010 15:43

hey gardenpixie
yep I heard that the weather isnt that good back in England, only 45 degrees here today ;)

Last day tomoz then back to the hubby wooooooo ( am away with mum, nan, uncles and aunties!) can't wait to see him and crack on with BD!!

x

TanteAC · 14/08/2010 15:48

9 week old, sorry! lol

gardenpixie · 14/08/2010 17:12

Alien that weather sounds amazing! Just the thing for making babies!

Tante your niece sounds gorgeous. My three nieces are all teenagers now so less persuasive as to the joys of parenthood Grin. And as for my husband's FIVE nephews, only our dog can keep them order by circling them constantly and nudging them back into the middle of the heard if they try to break free...

TigerseyeMum · 14/08/2010 19:44

I decided today that if I can't have a baby I'm getting another dog Grin

And a bigger house with a big garden.

Well, there's got to be some compensation.

crazybutterflylady · 14/08/2010 19:59

Ooh that's a good plan tigerseye I'd love a dog!!
When we move out of London I am allowed one :)

I have been SWIing all week even though it's a bit early. I keep seeing babies and pregnant women and I just want it now, impatient I know but we have been waiting to TTC for so long that I didn't really consider it taking very long. So month 2 will do just fine thank you :)

Hope you're all having a good weekend. I'm still reading the emma cannon book and finding it really interesting. Would definitely recommend it x

TigerseyeMum · 14/08/2010 20:59

Oh, the world and its wife is pregnant right now. Every which way you look.

The rain has stopped and I have warmed up :)

I am having a secret tipple. Well, the OH is away at a party so why not? Grin

JosieSmith1 · 15/08/2010 09:20

Morning everyone

I was in asda yesterday and have confirmd that yes, everyone but us have babies. Literally everyone!

I can POAS next weekend so hoping this week goes by quickly. Been having some cramping but I seem to have this bug too so figure it's most likely just that. Will jst have to wait and see I suppose.

I live in a terraced house and when my neighbours granddaughter was ill I could hear her screaming all night, definitely want a bigger house, can't imagine having a baby in this one keeping the neighbours awake! We're looking at swapping houses with Mam next year though and although hers is terraced it's much bigger and the neighbours are deaf! If we can't swap she'll be downsizing anyway so it's looking likely that we'll be moving in either way.

I have told DH that there will be no SWI next month if we're not lucky this month as it's my best mates wedding next July and I can be a pregnant Maid of honour, but not literally about to pop!

Hello Frolickers, I wasn't sure if there was a list yesterday so I've tried to work from Friday's list - please shout if I've messed anything up!

How are you all?

No news from me, but fairly sure ERTD is just around the corner Sad

But I still have a very odd (for me) aversion to booze, tea, coffee and chocolate so am not giving up hope until it actually gets me!

Hope you are all having a lovely Sunday xx

cherrycobbler · 15/08/2010 11:45

Ooh garden sounds promising! mrsw has it sunk in yet? Have you tested again?!

Nothing exciting in the cherry household - only tend to ov around day 20 so just enjoying some pre season friendlies :) bit hungover from friends 30th so hoping for fairly chilled Sunday. Hope you all have good ones!

Kaloki · 15/08/2010 14:37

ERTD showed up for me on Friday - and I'm thrilled. It was on time, accompanied by all the usual symptoms and heavy. Maybe this means the infection is clearing up? And maybe it was the infection reducing our chances?

Though, now it's regular again it means the next one coincides with the wedding Hmm

JosieSmith1 · 15/08/2010 17:39

Me and my best mate hav decided I'm pregnant because I feel sick and I'm very hungry. Grin

gardenpixie · 15/08/2010 18:09

Kaloki that's great news that your cycles are regular again and I'm sure the infection certainly wouldn't have been helping. Presumably anything that alters the normal, ahem, chemistry in one's lady bits isn't great news for encouraging swimmers to get to the right place.

Josie that sounds like a definite pg to me!

Big waves to everyone else

x

pinklady76 · 15/08/2010 19:06

Hi to everyone! wow this thread moves super fast.

just wanted to say a huge baby dust congrats to mrs wajs am so excited for you! has the news sunk in yet?

Hellooo and waves and porn star cocktails to all the newbies love the name marmite! brill!

My news is that there is lots of swiing in the pink household at the mo! making sure it stays as fun as poss Grin will wait and see if there are any good results from it!

Went in mothercare yesterday for a look with dp, actually it was his suggestion! wow! lots of cute babies and tired but happy mums in there! made me all emotional and excited for when my turn hopefully comes around.

waves to everyone and hope you all have had a lovely weekend.

Florin · 15/08/2010 19:16

Pink so jealous of your dh actually suggesting you go into mothercare I only get to walk past the window (as slowly as possible!) If we somewhere and there is baby stuff there he does have a look and is intersted (like car seats last weekend) but wouldn't let me in a shop to purposly look at baby things
Kaloki Glad ERTD turned up for you hope everything is sorting itself out now
Josie all sounds promising, when are you testing? I am planning to test on Friday although given up on being hopeful but we will see what happens on Friday! Wont buy a test until Thursday so I am not tempted to test earlier
Hello everybody hope everyone has had a fab weekend. I have had rather to much alcohol this weekend so will try and stay away from it until testing day now!

Toriajayne · 15/08/2010 19:19

Pink Also very jealous, like Florin my DH will only discuss baby suff if it's performance carseats or off-road buggies

Bellaby · 15/08/2010 20:55

Hello All

MrsWajs - that is brilliant news. I'm so thrilled for you

I'm being really rubbish at the moment - work is keeping me busy with lots of client events in the evening. Unfortunately I'm out 4 nights this coming week with clients so my liver is going to take a real hammering Shock. Will try and take sneaky looks in here on my iphone during the day.

Just back from a weekend in Holland visiting a very close friend of mine & her husband to be which was a lot of fun but tiring.

All you newbies are making it hard to keep up with this group but it's great to have new faces here. I like all the alcohol consumption going on in here as well - Ladies after my own heart Grin

Felicity I hope that you enjoyed the wedding and had a good flight back and weren't too tired going straight into work - that's serious commitment but I like it Grin. I'm looking forward to hearing your symptom watch begin

Lanky - that's very exciting about your house!

Garden -sorry if I missed this but what did your GP say after 6 months when you went to him with irregular ERTD? I was planning to see the consultant in a months time but now that ERTD has arrived I'm not sure whether to still do that or wait another month and see if I become more regular again. My worry about waiting any longer would be that by then I will have been TTC for 9/10 months which seems like a long time to be clueless about when to SWI.

high heels - I hope that you had a great time in Edinburgh and managed to avoid drinking too much

Florin - fingers crossed for your testing on Friday.

Big Wave to everyone else - sorry I've not mentioned everyone.

Can someone remind me what the best time in a cycle to usually SWI just in case I do by some miracle have a normal cycle for once?

Lots of love

xxx

gardenpixie · 15/08/2010 21:10

Hi Belaby my GP was ok, she ordered CD3 and CD21 day tests but the problem was that I didn't know when CD21 was so that made it a bit hard. Also, the NHS tests only measure FSH, LH, progesterone and oestrogen so I went private and saw a consultant - private blood tests measure a million and one other things which was really helpful. It showed that I had insulin resistance (which the NHS only investigate after a few more months of TTC - in my area anyway) so adjusting my diet really helped settle my cycle down.

It also meant I got my tubes and ovaries scanned within a week of seeing the consultant which was an enormous weight off my mind.

The GP did get Mr Garden's swimmers tested which was great as it showed he needed to clean up his act a bit so he has cut down on booze and fags and now the aspiring little Gardens are much happier!

Personally I'd say it is still worth keeping your consultant's appt as, if they need to do further tests, it can take a while.

Great that ERTD is getting more regular though! Let's hope you will have to cancel your consultant's appt because of a nice BFP!

Grin
Bellaby · 15/08/2010 22:19

Thanks garden that is really helpful

CaveMum · 16/08/2010 07:34

Morning everyone, just stopping by to say hello. We had a good trip down to my parents, but ended up coming back early (Sat night instead of Sunday morning) as the bad weather messed up our plans.

Hope everyone is well and enjoying their SWI Wink or trying not to obsess over their 2WW! No news from me, Day 52 and still no ERTD Sad.

Happy Monday all, if indeed such a thing is possible!

Florin · 16/08/2010 08:05

Morning all!
Hope everyone had a good weekend.
Final few days of 2ww for me to be honest just want to know either way now but so used to the disappointment that is all I am expecting.
Going to book a doctors appointment for when I come back from hols as I have a really mild twinge which is always on my left side had it for a couple of months now so figure I should just get it checked plus a good excuse to discuss ttc with doctor.
