Lanky fingers crossed for you - like someone said on this thread, it isn't over till FERTD appears...
Best of luck to others testing.
Kaloki I hope you get better soon..
Best of luck to others FERTD.

Am still feeling the blues..though mrswajs news really perked me up. Am all emotional... and yes FERTD symptoms continue..so it's just a question of when.

Have had a really really busy week..so taking the afternoon off.

MrsWajs · 13/08/2010 11:47

I think I'll have one virtual pornstar for good measure :)

And then I better stick to the cordial I guess!!

ooh just realised that MrsW started the thread, so the old wives tale has come true again Grin There may well be a rush to start the next one again!

Champers all round [clink] So so pleased for you.

crazybutterflylady · 13/08/2010 12:02

yes, it'll be like trying to catch the bouquet Grin

JosieSmith1 · 13/08/2010 12:08

cavemum the vet thinks it's arthritis. She is 21 so it's likely. She's not lame enough to do a full work-up at vets so we're not totally sure.

Choccy fingers all round in celebration for MrsW (it's all I have I'm afraid, have already eaten my choccy chip cookies)

LankyLegs · 13/08/2010 12:43

Ha ha! I bugsy the next thread!

womanly you are so very sweet - but I totally feel like FERTD is on the way - has been for days but since I was temping on and off I don't know when I actually ovulated. Hope you are ok - chin up it doesn't arrive for you too.

My (.)(.)'s are killing me today so she is defo around the corner! Grrr!

Crazy plan b was good - he had this amazing beatboxer who was out of this world - amazing what you can do with your mouth hey!

Josie don't know anything about horses I'm afraid but 21 does sound old in horse ages. Poor thing :(

On another note it's Friday!!

And did I tell you all we have an offer on our flat so house sale is a done deal! We are going to see it tomorrow again!

God with all this great stuff going on (house purchase, lots of fun things planned etc) I don't know why I am feeling like such a miserable cow these last few days - hard to shake off. Am blaming it on thyroid and FERTD. Can't wait to get it sorted next week - am going to beg the GP to double my dose - infact I might end up crying anyway judging on how I am feeling at the moment. The thing is that my GP as lovely as she is - is pregnant too - so I just know that i will end up crying when I see her!

F*ck me I sound like a headcase....

Someone hand me a cocktail... fast.

crazybutterflylady · 13/08/2010 12:51

That's great news about the flat lanky, how exciting!

Everyone is allowed to feel a bit down now and again, don't beat yourself up about it. And so what if you cry at the GP... she will have had worse things happen to her I am sure! She's human so she will have cried at some point too xx

I think there's a chance you could be PG... (.)(.) painful, grumpy, teary - you never know! x

LankyLegs · 13/08/2010 12:58

Thanks Crazy so lovely to hear a super cheery person like you to feel better about it!

I know - but they are also all PMT symptoms too - and trust me I know my body well now!

Right - off to a meeting and I will be back later to waste the afternoon away. Well I do have 1 more meeting at 4pm that I have to prep for. But other than that I feel a skive coming on!

JosieSmith1 · 13/08/2010 13:05

Lanky that is a fabulous piccy of (.)(.). Brilliant!

OneOf8 · 13/08/2010 13:10

Just stopping by to say a massive congrats to Mrs Wajs !!!

I had a negative the week before my positve, when I was 7 days late (based on a normal cycle which had been awol before) - proving that even early sensitive tests are not as effective as what early response and co like to advertise!!

Glad you enjoyed the holidays Flick but OMG going straight the the "office" when it is full of people that require your full attention!

Zippy, sorry your suffering still. Really hope they can find out what it is causing this - how long till the new dr?

Kaloki Not long till the wedding! Sorry your not having the best lead up to it tho. Did you sort some shoes/boots?

Hello to everyone else Smile

Ilovemarmite79 · 13/08/2010 14:11

Can I ask did any of you go and see your doctor about TTC? And how long after TTC to you go to doctors for advice? (I'm 31)
I'm going to the doctors on Tuesday about something else and wondered whether to mention it. I'm sort of hoping I'm not pregnant this month (which I think is unlikely anyway) as I want to have a smear test first. I have never had one and have had to have 6 lots of hypnotherapy to build me up to it. I'm going to wait for FERTD and then make the appointment - I hope.

gardenpixie · 13/08/2010 15:04

Lanky great news about the flat sale / house purchase - hurrah! Maybe just thing to bring on a nice BFP? I am still wetting myself about your (.)(.) pic! Absolute bugger about your GP being pregnant though. I would just be in hysterics after a few mins into the consultation...

Marmite I went to see my GP after 6 months of TTC as my cycles were very irregular. If you are really regular, they don't do much until after 12 months, if you have any other problems, they might start investigating things sooner.

I am hoping that MrsW's tummy bug brought her baby fairy luck as I am still suffering! Just woken up after 4hrs in bed and am not up to much more than MNing and drinking virtual fizz watching Jeremy Kyle intellectual documentaries on TV.

Hope everyone else is well xx

highheelsandequations · 13/08/2010 15:08

marmite I went to the doctors fairly soon (within 6 months) after starting ttc as I have PCOS and so knew it was likely we'd have problems. We were referred to the fertility clinic straight away (with usual 3 month waiting time) but that was because of my circumstances and I'd already had various tests after being referred to a gynaecologist. If you're going anyway I'd mention ttc as you should have some basics checked out e.g. rubella immunity, plus they could give you some advice.

highheelsandequations · 13/08/2010 15:09

PS: Great news about the flat lanky

crazybutterflylady · 13/08/2010 15:14

Aww garden didn't realise you were poorly... hug hug. If it works for you then i hope it works for me too :)

marmite good luck with the smear. I am sure you have heard it all before but the thought of them is so much worse than the reality. It's over in a matter of seconds and they are so important. Lecture over Blush

can't stop eating fruit pastilles :(

LankyLegs · 13/08/2010 15:31

marmite - are you that scared of smears that you had to have hypnotherapy? I can totally understand why you are anxious then. You poor thing.

I agree with the others - I went to see my GP after 8ish months of trying as I was getting really bad pains in my right pelvis areas - which resulted in me getting my day 21 bloods and a hormone profile, a scan and DH jizzing into a pot Grin. I found out that I have an underactive thyroid (that I am trying to get sorted) and that I have some cysts - but they may be normal and going back for another scan in Sept. So - the moral of the story is push for as many tests as you can - it can take months to even get a picture of your profile before then even attempt to refer you. Were were referred 4 weeks ago and not even a sniff of an appt yet. It can take upto 3 months apparently.

Garden arse that you are feeling crap - Hmm are you testing soon?!

highheels thanks for the congrats! What are you up to for the rest of the school holibobs then?

Crazy - stop eating fruit pastils... the thing is once you buy some you can't stop until you finish. That is my problem anyway!

I am childish like that - use to love spelling 'boobless' on the calculator at school to - does anyone remember that?

crazybutterflylady · 13/08/2010 15:37

yep - 55378008 Grin

God i feel rank after the sweeties. silly old me... :(

Ilovemarmite79 · 13/08/2010 15:38

It is not just smears it is the doctors in general. I have had to have hypnotherapy just to go to the doctors. I am sure it is irrational. Pregnancy could be prove very problematic. We have been together forever and I am 31 and the reason we're only trying now is because I think I may finally be able to cope with the doctor/hospital situation. I hope (like everyone) that it is straight forward.

crazybutterflylady · 13/08/2010 15:43

That must be so difficult marmite, well done for making an effort to overcome it - I really hope everything goes smoothly for you too.

highheelsandequations · 13/08/2010 15:43

Lanky I only have the weekend left and then back to the classroom. Was going to go for a wander around town today and appreciate not being at work on a week day but only got home from London at about 1am and have been sooo tired all day I've decided to sit in the garden instead! Have a busy weekend planned though, my friend's taking me to Edinburgh tomorrow night for the Club Noir night that's on as part of the fringe. We have an afternoon of girly getting ready planned and then going off to party. have a brand new fabulous outfit and my sparkly false eyelashes ready. My only concern is that I don't really want to drink too much as I've been googling (bad idea) and found some websites that say alcohol could prevent implantation, hmm, don't usually take too much notice of these things but worrying more this cycle, anyway going off subject. Don't know how I can get away with not drinking without lots of questions and still don't really want to start telling people about ttc. Sunday I have to make the most of my final day of freedom, hoping for some sunshine and thinking about maybe lunch somewhere nice or sunbathing and then dinner in the garden. Hope you get your referral soon, it's awful waiting, especially if the clinic's like ours and you don't hear anything until you get the appointment letter.

JosieSmith1 · 13/08/2010 15:46

I am ill too.

Have been blocked up (nose) all week and now I have a sore throat and headache and feel knackered! Feeling very sorry for myself run down

Boo!

crazybutterflylady · 13/08/2010 15:47

highheels tell them you're on antibiotics maybe, or just trying to have a bit of a detox?

sounds like you have a fab weekend ahead... can;t believe you go back to school so early! Are they inset days or something (do they still exist?! Confused)

x

highheelsandequations · 13/08/2010 15:50

My friend will not accept the detox line crazy, especially as this is my delayed birthday celebration, could maybe spin the medication line but I'm a rubbish liar. We have 2 inset days then the fun begins. Still at least this is a short term and the half term will be here before I know it!
