Hello all!

gardenpixie · 10/08/2010 17:01

Hi Tante I can say pretty confidently that the pg ladies and babies have definitely at least quadrupled since we have been TTC and they have a homing device for us.

Right, am off to brave the rain to take my hound out for a run

[wishes labradors only liked exercise in the sun emoticon]

TomboyWife · 10/08/2010 17:32

Evening ladies!

ERTD got me this morning. Sad It was quite painful as well. Cramps are usually just an annoyance that can be vanquished with one ibuprofen (and sometimes I don't even need that). Today the first ibuprofen didn't make a dent, and neither did the second. I thought I might have to leave work early. Fortunately things improved after lunch and I wasn't left trying to explain to my (mostly male) colleagues why I was going off sick.

Definite pg symptoms and an unusually painful AF. Could this month have been a near miss?

gardenpixie · 10/08/2010 17:42

Hi Tomboy sorry the FERTD got you Sad

Might have been a near miss - I'm not sure, I don't know enough about that kind of thing I'm afraid.

Are you feeling OK now? x

CaveMum · 10/08/2010 17:46

Evening all! Dear lord you lot can talk can't you! 279 posts already? We'll need a new thread in a week or two at this rate!

Welcome Josie, nice to have another horsey lass about - I work in racing, lots of scatty Thoroughbreds! Don't have a horse of my own (was looking into getting an ex-racer last year but then the ttc plans came along and it wouldn't have been fair on the horse) and actually work in an office these days, but my day consists of being paid to read the Racing Post every day and watching racing on tv every afternoon!

Tomboy sorry about ERTD getting you. Have some chocolate.

Still no news from my end - day 46 for me and no sign of ERTD as yet. Odd thing is, looking back at my geek charts over the last month or so, my temperatures look like they are doing exactly what they should do and I've been getting cramps athe "right" time. Is it possible that I could be cycling and ovulating as normal but not bleeding? Is that possible?!

Anyway, the cat is hassling em so I better go feed her. Will try to pop back later.

TanteAC · 10/08/2010 18:18

Aw tomboy sorry to hear that. I am now in pjs and woolly socks (it is August, right?), why don't you join me? I have chocolate.

womanlytales · 10/08/2010 18:18

Yes cavemum I have heard that it is possible to o without having ertd. Too many posts, will catch up later.

raspberrytipple · 10/08/2010 18:20

Thanks all, I am feeling a lot better today, PMT and disappointment do not make a tolerant or sympathetic mix!! I shall enjoy the next few weeks of drinking what I feel like, probably will end up drinking more than normal and feel crap I suspect..... i'm sure Im going to see a pattern emerge over the next few months!
Crazy - dont let horror stories of labour put you off! Im just going to go into denile - I am going to have a drug free labour, on a bed of roses and not make even a squeak!!!! Well, thats what I shall tell meself until I actually go into labour one day!

Steg - Ive been feeling exactly the same as you, its horrible and we must solider on as it wont help us in the long run but it helps me to know Im not the only one in the world that gets frustrated and upset with it all!

Garden - good point about needing someone else in the family to cause concern to take the heat off. Unfortunately for me, its alwasy underage or idiot members of my family having babies that takes the heat off me, ive always been the intelligent, good, career minded settled one in the family while the rest of them seem to breed like rabbits, yet I talk to my mum about trying for a baby and she said 'but what about your career!!!' raaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa Shes fine now though. Did make me feel a bit of a dick for telling her but shes fully come round to the idea and is now excited by it all but frowns every time I drink and keeps checking im taking folic acid! Confused. Families eh, wish I could sell mine, they are a pain in the arse.

TomboyWife · 10/08/2010 19:30

Thanks for the sympathy all. I'm about to have a big glass of Sauvignon Blanc. I don't care if it's sugar and poison, it's nummy nummy sugar and poison.

I'm annoyed at not being pg, and really annoyed at these damn cramps. I think I just took the last ibuprofen in the house, and so far it's not helping. Terrific. Angry

Florin · 10/08/2010 20:12

tomboy so know that feeling the disapointment is so huge not quite sure how many months I can deal with it. It takes me longer each month to get over it. I have such repect for you ladies who have been trying a lot longer than me.
I had the worse day ever at work boss away and some horrid Chav of a girl (who is the same level as me) tried to scream at me for apparently not doing any work I had done it all she had just taken it on herself to search my desk before I was in this morning and got the wrong end of the stick. Made me so mad oh well nothing a strong G and T won't fix. Hoping her mood improves tomorrow! Need to be pregnant this month so I can get the hell out of there.
Feel a little stuck in my job as can't leave as if i do would have to wait a while ttc as need to claim maternity leave even if it is only statoratory it all helps! There is definitely more pregnant people/babies around since ttc I look at then all and think why is it fair that they have babies and I don't. Right off to sort dinner got duck breast to tonight and my dh makes an amazi g red wine and recurrent sauce!

JosieSmith1 · 10/08/2010 20:18

I've noticed more pg people too! My Mum's best mate's daughter is pg, as is her son's girlfriend! Both at the same time, here's me getting funny looks off Mum as if to say 'when's it her turn to be a grandmother!'

It's early days for me though so just gotta stick it out, though I'm itching to POAS! Waaaaay too early!

TanteAC · 10/08/2010 20:48

They are everywhere, I'm telling you. Getting paranoid that if I look out the window, hoards of them all be standing in the street, walking towards me zombie-style Shock (cue eerie music)

Honestly, every text, email, FB update! A bit of a head-twister is that two of them are my lovely sis (preg after ttc for 3 days - 3 DAYYYYYYYS!) who has her 20 scan this week and my lovely SIL who had an unplanned despite using contraception (now you're just taking the piss!) who is leaving her gorgeous new baby girl with me this weekend.

Some conflicting emotions there, tbh! But mostly pleasure, I have to say. (on a good day)

At least it's an excuse to buy yummy baby things Wink silver lining and all.

CaveMum · 10/08/2010 21:05

I totally agree that there seems to be an invasion a big leap in the number of pregnant women lately. At the weekend DH and I were out shopping in town and I commented that everyone seemed to be pregnant. He told me not not be silly but we counted together and I'm not kidding but about a dozen pregnant women walked past us in the next minute! We actually got the giggles about it!

In the last 2 months 3 people I know (thankfully not close friends) have had babies and 2 others have announced they are pregnant. It's an epidemic I tells ya!

highheelsandequations · 10/08/2010 21:12

PMSL at images of hordes of pregnant women lurching down the street a la night of the living dead!

Tomboy hope you're enjoying that nummy sugary poison. I have a lovely glass of the red variety of sugary poison and it's very tasty!

raspberrytipple · 10/08/2010 21:18

It's the Christmas drunken bonking season ready to explode innit!! All those babies creAted on new years eve!

TanteAC · 10/08/2010 21:40

I know, and all the Easter holidays shaggers are all getting their 20 wk scan photos.
Dirty seasonal shagging bs! lol

Just played tennis in the pissing rain, instructor laughed at me whacking every ball into next week! Blush Ahhhhhhh felt good...
Might join you all in some sugary poison myself. White, that's not really drinking, is it?

Bellaby · 10/08/2010 21:48

Morning everyone - I've had a bash at the list but please shout if I've ballsed it up at all.

Hope you are all well.

Not much news from me. Absolutely no pg signs at all so I have obviously convinced myself that not having any signs is, in fact, a sign!

Happy Wednesdays all round xx

LankyLegs · 11/08/2010 08:54

Morning All,

Bloody hell the chat on here is fast! It's a full time job trying to keep up.

Not going to attempt too long a post but just wanted to say welcome back bella was it amazing? You lucky lucky thing ! Pleased you enjoyed it and great that ERTD arrived at last!

MrsWajs hope you are feeling better - and agree hold out a few days before you test again - must be so frustrating :( Really wanted it to be your month too!

Tomboy and Raspberry sorry about FERTD - here have a pint size glass of Vino and endless amounts of dairy milk....

Florin work girl sounds like a cow - hope you had a nice evening to get over it. Duck and red vine sauce...yum! I know what you mean about work - when we started TTC I thought - well I can relax a bit and not give much of a shite but that hasn't worked and what feels like 60 million cycles later there is still no baby! Agghh Angry

Womanly and Cave how are you doing? And zippys hope you are well too? Hope you are enjoying the rest of your break flick when are you heading back?

Kaloki good luck with finding tiddly tiny shoes - that must be very hard. Not long now though!

Waaaaay too many pregnant people EVERYWHERE even the sodding weather girl on ITV was pregnant. Yuck. That's all I have to say about the matter!

Hi to everyone else Grin

highheelsandequations · 11/08/2010 09:04

Morning everyone,

Just a quick post to inform you all that I'm dashing off to London today and won't be back till early Friday morning, so you won't have the board full of all my nonsense for a coupls of days! Wonder how many pregnant women I'll see on the train? (Prize for the most accurate guess!!) Will be thinking of you all as I sip my cocktails and buy innappropriate clothes I can't afford :) That reminds me, has anyone else had the thought when they've been shopping "maybe I shouldn't buy that because I won't be able to wear it when I'm pregnant and I might not fit into it after ..." or is that just another example of my obsession?

garden no signs is definitely a sign!

Have fun all and fingers crossed for some more BFPs by Friday.

JosieSmith1 · 11/08/2010 09:33

Morning everyone.

Highheels that's me too with the clothes! I've worked out what baggy clothes I can wear in the early months before I have to buy bigger ones! I have also worked out a schedule for when I go back to work and how I'm going to manage my horse! I literally have a timetable saved on my computer. I am the world's most organised person. And now I feel incredibly embarrassed!

One day closer to being able to POAS/PIAR/PIAJ! I don't 'feel' pregnant yet, Grin

MrsWajs · 11/08/2010 10:01

Morning girls!

And welcome back Bellaby was just looking at your name on the list the other day and wondered when you'd return!! Glad you had an amazing holiday and yay for FERTD returning -
obviously relaxing on holiday did the trick!

Garden the list is absolutely fine - glad you and crazy have been keeping on top of it as I can't keep up with who FERTD has got! I am gonna update it today just to get rid of that bloody gap!! It was my fault - cut someone ages ago and forgot to close it!!

I do the clothes thing as well, have been since before we even started talking about trying, hence the number of jersey, empire line dresses I own in flattering colours

And pregnant women everywhere, as I work in a jewellers it's especially horrendous at times as people are coming in for christening bangles, eternity bands, Willow Tree, for charms for their bracelets with baby carriages and baby feet on them, one woman the other day even asked me if I had kids before going off on a rant about how this would be her last while I struggled not to stare at the bump which was clearly moving and kicking away while she bitched about being pregnant Angry ran over...

Florin I've got one of them! She had a stand up row with me on he shop floor a couple of weeks ago after I asked her why she hadn't filled out an order correctly. She shouted me down until I went and got the order book and threw it at her (not literally though it was tempting) Shall we put them in a cage to fight it out?

Highheels I say 42. I have a four hour shift today and I'm pretty sure I'll see that many myself so it's a good number.

crazybutterflylady · 11/08/2010 12:04

Morning all (or afternoon just about!)

Had a rotten morning... got to the office at 7am for my spinning class at 7.30 - but felt so ill that I had to turn round and come home again :( I thought I was going to be sick and my tummy was aching. Lucky I have just had FERTD or obviously I would have thought it was a sign of pregnancy Grin

Slept until now and feel a lot better but achey all over.

Yes I see pregnant women everywhere too... and new babies... and I also am not buying any more clothes until I have had a baby
