Thread 2 - the one where I try to get organised

[Reastie]

Hope I'm not tempting fate with that thread title
This is intended as a friendly, kind, safe, warm and fuzzy place for people to share discounts, bargains and Christmas gift ideas both online and IRL. Please note the tone and intention of the thread and join with spirit as generous as DC helping themselves to the Christmas chocolate celebrations .

Here’s some useful information about how to save the thread or a specific post so you don’t need to have a message to check in for every thread so you have the thread saved:

To watch the thread - click on the little bell that has ‘watch’ under my first message. This adds the whole thread to your ‘watched threads’

You can also bookmark a specific post by clicking on the ‘bookmark’ under the specific post. This saves your exact place in a thread but doesn’t alert you to new replies.

A reminder that we don't use affiliated links on here please (I think that's the term, let me know if I got that wrong).

If there’s anything you think would be useful or good to include in this post then please do tag me and let me know here (or DM me).

You are all wonderful and I’m now going back to my mince pie and stollen (never too early!).

This is such a good idea, I'm doing it! I am having such a laugh making pics for each themed month. August is my favourite, sunbathing in bikinis!

@STom2 Oh I had a frozen obsessed 4 year old once. Enjoy it <3 the lego calendars are fantastic, we've had them yearly for a long time.

I won't lie. I do really enjoy having to listen to Let it Go on repeat while he does his dance routines for me. ❤️ I've two boys, and the older never had an interest in Frozen (despite my best efforts as I was a big fan pre-kids). So I'm very happy to lean fully into this phase. 😊

Thanks for this, I tried to order but even after selecting the £1.99 option when I click basket it says £7.50. Has anyone else had any luck?

I feel like there was a way of buying the jellycat flower toy from Bloom and wild but now I can’t find it on their website? If anyone can remember and could help me with this please I’d be very grateful because I’ve got a good code from there! DD would love it and that would be a good start to my Christmas shopping. Thanks

Showing at £6 for me 😭

@FabulousFreshias

this post from @Ceejadess on the first thread?

Bloom & Wild account holders - Check your inbox for the 50% off, account‑specific code they’ve sent out (today only)
It applies to selected gifts, including the Jellycat Thinking of You Bundle. The bundle contains the Amuseables Bouquet of Flowers (usually £42 on its own elsewhere) plus Shortbread House macadamia biscuits.
With the code, the whole bundle drops to £24.50!!
(For those that haven’t yet signed up, you get 50% off on your birthday every year too, I have £10 off referral code, PM me if interested)

Omg...I don't have kids. And I struggle with gifts. Are most boys (say between 14 and 18) into those sorts of Adidas bags? I feel like they could be, and they're a bargain!

On a lookout for Kobo e-reader for DD (BW or colour) if you have any pointers for savings (the certified refurbished are sold out before they're published to the website ...)

£5 in Asda, obviously not such a bargain though.

Thank you so much, that’s exactly what I was thinking of. Sadly it’s disappeared off the website now so I presume it’s out of stock – I will keep looking and hope it will come back in as my daughter would love this!

I ordered this and when I go to my order history it doesn’t let me find it, so I can’t even “see” the description of the bundle, just the title. I think it’s off the website now.

It's still showing here for £49 @FabulousFreshias

£3 in Poundland today. Obviously not quite as good and relies on in person shopping, but worth a try if there’s one near you @Raghnaid

www.yorkshiretrading.com/products?q=Pecksniffs&order=relevance

If you're interested in Pecksniffs you might also look directly at their website.

This takes you directly to the clearance section where many things are listed at 70% off. There's a lot less there than when I ordered but still a good selection.

The link was also posted on an earlier thread. Some things are in glass bottles and others in plastic ones. Postage is calculated by weight, so you might want to avoid the glass bottles, diffusers and candles if that's a factor for you.

Someone else posted that they had seen Pecksniffs at an outlet place at the same prices, but I can't remember where.

I am very pleased with the things I've tried so far.

If anyone’s got any Liverpool football fans there’s some great bargains on their official store!

Managed to get DS two pairs of shorts for £1 each! A pack of playing cards for £1. Football for £8. Charging cable and water bottle for £5 each. Some great stocking fillers for him 😊

These are the shorts! Can’t believe they’re only £1

A couple of steals in the Boots £10 Tuesday.

Hi @Raghnaid friendly reminder that referrals should be kept to the referrals thread. This keeps it fair for everyone.
Apologies @Raghnaid just realised this was @Ceejadess post you had quoted

My partner and son use a one blade, they both really rate them. Then I do Harry’s products as stocking fillers for my son.

@hugsandpugsthanku so much for sharing - just ordered some Liverpool bits for DS - what a bargain!

M&S sale!

is anyone after or has already seen the Peanuts collection Starbucks have launched today? I’ve got a massive Snoopy fan to buy for but can’t get in touch with my (not that) local store to see if they’ve got any of it! Wondering if it’s worth the trip or all been snatched by resellers first thing…

This has literally driven me (Pea)nuts this morning.

Called in to my nearest one in the hotel in my village last night. "Oh yes we have six of the Snoopy cold cups" Brilliant. See you at 7am when you open..

7am this morning.. "oh no sorry not till 18th. (Eh???) They have been delayed"

I ran across the road to the brand new Starbucks drive through. (Which also has a large sit in area) they shrugged and told me they weren't getting any at all.

My only other option is to get on a train later this morning and go to the city centre whereby I reckon it will either be a similar story or they will all be gone. Farcical

Good luck!

My 7 year old's friend got one of these pen making sets for a birthday and they both really enjoyed making them together and then using the pens. Ive added an image, it may take a little time to be approved.

I'd also recommend the baking kits for kids.

Things to do type gifts always seem welcome by kids and parents in thsi age range in my experience.

Or a black paged notebook and neon gel pens are "cool" too. 🙂

Both of these activities could possibly be bought in your budget if you watch for bargains! If I see any I'll post them.
