Thread 2 - the one where I try to get organised

[Reastie]

Hope I'm not tempting fate with that thread title
This is intended as a friendly, kind, safe, warm and fuzzy place for people to share discounts, bargains and Christmas gift ideas both online and IRL. Please note the tone and intention of the thread and join with spirit as generous as DC helping themselves to the Christmas chocolate celebrations .

You are all wonderful and I’m now going back to my mince pie and stollen (never too early!).

If reconditioned for Bose is the same as it used to be for Black and Decker, it just means that the item didn't work when it came off the production line. It's then effectively repaired but still brand new - if that makes sense?

Ooh that's me! You can guess which supermarket isn't local to me can't you 😂
When on my travels I will go in search on these! Thank you so much!

@Moonnstarz also try argos and asda. They should stock them

Has anyone bought a craft type advent calendar? Any recommendations?

Thanks @Solmum1964. @tantraiI forgot to tag you in this. Highly recommend the reconditioned ones, they come in original packaging etc so you would never know!

Thanks. We only have Argos in Sainsbury's here and that is a digital download. I have checked Asda and Tesco but nothing yet! They have fortnight, Nintendo, Xbox etc...everything but Minecraft!

Thank you, guys!

That’s what I paid so I’m ignoring all the other posts about it 🤣

Oh these are lovely 😍

@NeededANameChangeAnyway - they have a poodle mug

Nipped into Home Bargains just there & picked up this Go Genuis game for £2.99. They only have English (I'm a teacher, so it called to me for the classroom) & Football, but reckon Football would be pretty popular. They are indeed £20 online as I've just checked.

Also picked up Exploding Kittens catchables for £1.49 each. They are £10 on Amazon.

Where did you see pecksniffs on there please?

Also saw various boardgames at good prices if they float anyone's boat. HBargains do online delivery now I believe

Lastly, this is a big box for £7.99- looks a substantial present. I remember my boys loved the one we had & it passed down to all 3.

Been away for a few days so just catching up, thanks to the poster for the marvel advent calendar from Asda, with my staff discount I got it for under £20, so teen will be happy.
Also thanks for the heads up about the half price gifts I got a couple of stocking fillers.

Has anyone heard of or bought from this company before?

Trust Pilot reviews are OK but not 5 star....

Solace Jewellery have a sale on they are hypoallergenic &nickel free. I got my niece some earring last year and they were lovely. They are offering 20% off if you sign up, not sure if that will stack with sale items.

I bought a gorgeous bone china one from here years ago for my grandma. When she died, i found it still in its box - she'd never actually opened and enjoyed it as thought it was too fancy 😕 i use it now and think of her everytime!

Has anyone had any issues with the buildabear? Amazon keep messing up my order, I ordered the dark brown bear, my asd DD only wants this one, they keep sending me light brown, driving me nuts now 😳

Does anyone have any codes for a Tonie Box 2 or know of any offers about to happen please? 👀

Try The Range

T K Maxx have some discounted Dr Marten's, you might have to trawl a bit to find them coz they don't come up in a search but various style boots and shoes.
(Sadly yet to find any in my size, grump)

Footasylum currently have quite a good sale. Managed to order a couple pairs of adidas for nearly half price! Definitely worth a look.

I ordered light brown and dark brown came - wasn’t the end of the world, we made it and it was great but ordered another as a gift this time dark brown as it was £5 cheaper and light brown came ! Has now caused problems because although the little Star who loved the dark brown one when she did it, she now wants the light brown one because she thinks it’s a girl one like her 😩

My suggestion is order the opposite of what you want !

@PumpkinSpicedTea I've ordered from Maqio a number of times with no issues.

2 Pack of Adidas cross body bags for £8 here, I've just ordered for stocking fillers

I ordered Wednesday Adams lego from there following a recommendation on previous thread. Ordered 11th, arrived today, 14th. Very happy with packaging which included bubble wrap.
