Thread 2 - the one where I try to get organised

[Reastie]

Hope I'm not tempting fate with that thread title
This is intended as a friendly, kind, safe, warm and fuzzy place for people to share discounts, bargains and Christmas gift ideas both online and IRL. Please note the tone and intention of the thread and join with spirit as generous as DC helping themselves to the Christmas chocolate celebrations .

Here’s some useful information about how to save the thread or a specific post so you don’t need to have a message to check in for every thread so you have the thread saved:

To watch the thread - click on the little bell that has ‘watch’ under my first message. This adds the whole thread to your ‘watched threads’

You can also bookmark a specific post by clicking on the ‘bookmark’ under the specific post. This saves your exact place in a thread but doesn’t alert you to new replies.

If you have any referral links or codes, please share them on the referral thread https://www.mumsnet.com/talk/christmas/5577375-bargain-referrals-thread

A reminder that we don't use affiliated links on here please (I think that's the term, let me know if I got that wrong).

You are all wonderful and I’m now going back to my mince pie and stollen (never too early!).

Those personalised glasses cleaning cloths went down really well last Christmas, such a fun stocking filler!

You see this sort of thing in TKMaxx sometimes too.

Toy sale in Tesco today, some nice things including a 4 pack of Zuru mini babies for £20, which my 9 year old will love.

Official HP crochet book currently on sale. Or at world of books for even cheaper.

Harry Potter Lego sets are on sale too, and I’ve been eyeing one of these up, for a Crafty HP fan myself. 50% off currently though I’m sure I’ve seen it cheaper. But they have Hogwarts and the knight bus too
This one is even more budget friendly

lovely cat mug PAH if you sign up there’s normally some vouchers

or try the RSPCA or a cat charity, they normally have regular sales.

Went to the shop IRL on saturday, my friend bought that scarf which looks really nice.

Make sure to include door wedges in the back pack.... She'll have a wonderful time, but will sleep better!

That’s great news! Must be a stock image - sorry for freaking everyone out haha. It’s a really good idea to include with the flower bouquet

The V&A do beautiful bone china mugs - very ergonomically friendly!

Thank you. Have ordered this

The glasses cleaning cloths were a huge hit with grandparents here

Thanks I’m after the washimals. Unfortunately our Poundland closed down so will have to find another

Is the PP still looking for Minecraft gift cards? Morrisons has them, saw a 1720 minecoins, and a 3500 minecoins one, if that helps.

Morrisons do really nice Porcelain mugs. Different designs, highland cow, floral, bees, coastal scenes. Normally £4.50 but sometimes there are reductions, I got the heart one for £3.50

I’m looking to buy Bose QuietComfort Ultra 2nd Generation Headphones for my husband’s birthday and Christmas present together this year (his ones have been falling apart for 4 years now). If anybody has any discounts or referrals for this please could you send them my way 😊 thank youu

@Cuwins

Crayola Washimals Pets Figure Series 2 (styles vary) — Booghe

these are on 3 for 2 if useful

I bought some reconditioned ones direct from the Bose website , they are as good as brand new, and were so much cheaper!

thank you. I have never heard of that website, is it ok?

If anyone could spare an Argos code for an £80 spend a PM with it would be appreciated please and thank you. Our fish tank has sprung a leak and they have the best replacement tank, so not Christmassy at all but an unexpected spend!

lots of positive Trustpilot reviews

Look at repeatrepeat.co.uk - bone china and made in Stoke. I have two, bought after recs on here. The droplet style looks tiny, weighs only 240g but takes 400ml of liquid.

These are beautiful! She also has a connection to Cornwall, so this could be great! Off to have a browse. Also found a few things on Etsy 👏

Another one to look at. You guys are all wonderful.

Also some seconds on their outlet site

Lights4fun have 20% off currently. They sell lights, led candles, decorations, ornaments. They currently have Autumn/ Christmas stock. I just ordered a pre-lit Christmas tree to replace a real one outside that died over the summer. I've had things from them before and it's always been good service.

Many thanks everyone, what wonderful recommendations. I will have a look when I've finished work later and see what I can find. I meant to type elderly parents! Who have reached an age where they don't want presents and don't need anything, and are unfortunately too poorly now to have tickets/days out. But, I really think need new mugs!
