Been trying to get a thread going to no avail 😄😄

I'm so happy - this is the most wonderful time of the year, between now and December!

I looked them out as I was not sure where they were.

I don’t normally talk about Christmas until December, but I enjoy Christmas. I have brought my 1st Christmas gift. A beanie from Turtle Doves, if you spend over £30.00 you get a free pair of gloves

I've been feeling down so I've not been adequately prepping.

So now I am going to get as many Halloween decs as I can on a budget and put them up 2 weeks before

DD will hopefully be a ghost

I'm going to put up halloween decor from 1st October. I hope to find a little black tree as I have already bought baubles. Might make it my task for today to find that.

We're planning on a spooky day out this weekend so I made a last minute trip to Aldi after my flu jab to see if they had any costumes for DS (18m) ended up buying 2 pairs of Halloween pjs for him (that he'll wear as Halloween outfits 😆) and some Halloween pjs for DD (5)... £3.99 a pair so definitely worth checking out of there's one nearby. Also picked DD up some Halloween hair clips from Tesco. Spooky season is almost here...

I used to make a Hallowe'en Tree ( cut twigs stuck into a tub of putty , painted black and put in a metal bucket with stones to weight it .
Then tiny crows./ravens and spiders .
I still have the metal bucket so my subconscious obviously still wants me to make the trees .
No Easter Trees now as the cats would have it .

I'm planning my Hallowe'en decorations they'll go up on the day , really pleased it's a Saturday this year . Need to check what's in the attic.

Devastated to discover John Lewis aren't doing the personal Quality Street pick & mix tin refills this year. Mine and my besties only Christmas tradition is ruined 😂

That's a shame, I only like a few of them

Plus I'm allergic to nuts so that's half the box gone already

I have my pumpkin wreath on the door and ready for Halloween 🎃 👻 🧙‍♀️ planning on doing toffee apples for the dc (and me) Usually just do choc ones so may need to practice them first. Does anyone have any ideas of what to put around them to stop the stickiness for trick or treaters? Plastic of some sort?

I would try greaseproof paper for your toffee apples - and mind your fillings!

Thanks for the idea. Its quite windy here today and I expect lots of fallen branches so I might get creative and do something like this.
