I'm a bit tipsy and very tired, but it's been a good day.

Round 2 tomorrow with the roast dinner!

Enlighten me, as i’m new to the countdown… Rudolph day?

I’ve just put the TV on and the Vicar of Dibley Christmas special is playing. I shall be watching.

Rudolph Day is the 25th of every month up to November where you can do something relating to Christmas .
Could be :
Lists in the planner
Try something new foodwise that you might think "Oh that'll be nice over Christmas/Twixmas/the run up "
Sort through your stash of wrapping paper ( I have none)
Decide what you will do next year or won't do next year (mine is Christmas Cake . I won't be lulled into baking one as it never gets eaten )

I get a Free Pass on June 25th as it is DD Birthday

This Rudolph Day I can see a trip to Bluewater on my horizon ( DD wants to buy some work clothes )

I'll look out for the decoration episode .
There was a YouTube video of the Afternoon Tea that I watched , it did look nice

340 Morning (just). More moaning from me today - I somehow seem to be getting worse rather than better. Today I have a charming deep gruffly voice, like a man whose smoked 40 a day for 20 years 🙄

Fluffy I have limited annual leave left (have booked what I need for the year) but I am seriously considering a random, mid-week secret day off (secret so no one gives me anything to do)!

Nothing Christmas related happening here. Doing school run, speech & lang appointment for LO and going into town to buy birthday party supplies.
Thankfully swimming has been cancelled so I have time to do more house stuff - we have more trade stuff happening this week and need to shift furniture out of the way.

Sorry you are still feeling ill @NoCheesesForUsMeeces hope you feel better soon. The flu/cold this winter is a nightmare.

@NoWordForFluffy my stingy runny itchy eyes and blocked sinuses felt exactly like hayfever but yes would be wierd in January. I googled it and having a cold can affect your eyes. I also think some facial moisturiser or make up is not agreeing with me so I am in the process of eliminating possible offenders. I got lots of products for Christmas and from my OK beauty advent calendar so there are a lot of possibilities.

For Rudolph Day on Sunday I will be making some notes in my new fake filofax thingy that I got after your suggestion @70isaLimitNotaTarget . I bought another fake green garland for the fireplace and I quite like the breakfast flower arrangements on The Traitors so I might get some ideas sketched up copying that for this years fireplaces Christmas garlands.

@NoCheesesForUsMeeces having a secret day off is a very good idea. A friend of mine had 3 kids quite close in age and when they were young she was totally knackered so every few months she used to tell her DH that she was visiting a friend overnight but she really used to check in to the cheap hotel down the road, have a long bath and just lie in bed watching tv and reading.

Finally dry here and not murky, dank, mist. With a breeze. So we're playing washing catch up!

I'm in the office today. Exciting. 🙄 At least the train heating is on and I'm not travelling in a mobile fridge for a change!

Morning! I’ve just opened my next sale parcel full of Christmas bits for next year! Or this I should say. Very exciting

Productive morning already, load of washing done and on the maidens (too damp out so dehumidifier is on), kitchen cleaned up, bathroom wiped over and a run all done by 9am!

Ive been putting bits on ebay and gumtree, ill be adding more today. I hate dping this as its so time consuming but mainly sons toys hes outgrown and hes made up when I give him the money!

@NoWordForFluffy i am also playing washing catch up! I haven't got a drier, I have a dehumidifier which is good though. Mega windy out but too damp and wet to get washing dry outside.

Mostly Christmas jumpers for the kids, but also Christmas pants and socks flr the kids fkr their advent calendar. I got myself some Christmas pyjamas. And a ham ish Christmas cow candle and a Christmas hand towel.

It's been dry all day today, thankfully. So the washing should've done well. DH was in charge!

We have the Hamish hand towel. It's my favourite!

This weather…. Grey, dull, cold, rain. Where’s the crisp frost?! Is it coming back?

I’m started Pilates - I hope to resemble supermodel by Christmas. Only been to two classes so far but the teacher is wonderful and i’m definitely keeping it up

the weather is terrible! At least it’s nearly pay day.

It looks like MIL may well not see another Christmas, still waiting to hear proper prognosis and treatment. I’m hoping she’ll get one last Christmas and we can try and make it really special.

@FurForksSake Oh i’m so sorry. How awful. How is she doing, despite everything?

It’s all happening very quickly and everyone is getting their heads around it. I’m not really sure she’s got an awareness yet of how quick things might change. She’s in hospital for now but hopefully home this week or next.
