For those of us lucky enough to receive presents, did you get anything nice? We all rally around our kids as we should, but what about you.
I got 5 new books, 2 charms for my bracelet, a travel coffee mug, and a switch game I’ve been wanting for a while - yes I’m one of those 30 somethings who enjoys playing 😀what did you get?

Would love the context of the half used oil!

I would also like to know.

Yes me too. It was in a bag of “presents” from my mum which was chocolate, a notebook and the olive oil.

I suspect it was my punishment for not hosting this year but I had said I wasn’t doing presents for adults as I couldn’t afford it so I suppose I’m grateful for what I got!

Clefable · 25/12/2025 19:55

Three new pairs of PJs, some Care Bear lounging bottoms, fancy bubble bath, some chocs, a running vest and bottle, running socks, Moomin Stanley cup, new bra, some normal socks, scented candle, some earrings, and a top. Delighted with my haul!

Oh and £300!

From my dad and my ex partner (who still gets invited every year for Christmas diner) I received money.

So many lovely gifts from my pupils and school staff - and every one of them perfect for me and will be used.

Dh bought me a voucher for the med spa which I love going to and a Tiffany bracelet.

My niece had me in family secret Santa and got me a gorgeous leather weekend bag.

I haven't seen other family yet and the kids are with their dad but I know there is a Yankee candle and some hair perfume under the tree!

Feeling very lucky! And full....

mrsconradfisher · 25/12/2025 20:12

Me and DH don’t usually do gifts but I mentioned a few weeks ago that I would love an Apple Watch. I work in a school and can’t have my phone with me all the time. My Dad is very elderly and I thought it might be an idea if he needed to contact me during the day. Anyway DH surprised me with one this morning so I’m so happy. Got a lovely necklace with my boys initials on from DS1 and DS2.

CoralOP · 25/12/2025 20:13

Hope everyone had a nice day x

MarmaladeSandwich7 · 25/12/2025 20:14

Merry Christmas everyone! I did very well.
From DH - a zip through fleece & gorgeous cardi that I chose myself last month from Next, a heated neck & shoulder pad, memory foam travel pillow, electric toothbrush heads, Terrys chocolate orange & a set of hand creams with essential oils.
From DF & DM - £50
From DBro & DSil - £60 theatre voucher to share with DH
From an old friend - crystal bell
From DBil - a jumper that will have to be exchanged ( bless him, he never gets it right!). It’s called “ Hairy Fairisle” 😂 The size is actually ok but the fabric would irritate the hell out of me! Plus it’s a cowl neck which I can’t be doing with!
DD17 - our pressies are arriving on Saturday apparently although she hasn’t got us anything for quite a few years & will often make excuses eg the order didn’t go through or got lost etc. Hopefully it will be different this year.

AmusedMember · 25/12/2025 20:19

This was actually the first year my children (17, 19 and 20) actually realized maybe it's time to give this gift thing a go!
I got jelly cats, chocolate, socks, a hant painted card (my fav!) some collectables of my favorite things and the icing on the cake, a massive Lego set I've been after for some time!!
Normally, I get a mug and a box of chocs, which I'm happy with as I love to buy for my children! (I still have 2 smaller ones!)

ravenclaworslytherin · 25/12/2025 20:26

blankcanvas3 · 25/12/2025 20:43

DH got me some gorgeous boots that I saw a few weeks ago on Dakota Johnson so he’s really pulled it out of the bag to get them here. He also got me some new perfume, a couple of new framed prints for the house and he got a hamper of some bits and bobs you can only get in Ireland (where I grew up). DS got me a voucher for a spa day, DD1 and technically DD2 but DD1 chose it got me a jar of kim chi, 6 bottles of lucozade and a colouring book (I don’t want to ask). DP’s have paid for DH and I to go on a weekend away next month.

GreenGodiva · 25/12/2025 20:45

I got a £10 dressing gown I didn’t need. Apart from that nothing but i gave my mother a £60 dressing gown she needed. Other than that I got a pair of pjs. 2 pair of bed socks. That’s it. But. BUT. I made sure my sister who is a single mum got exactly what her kids wanted to buy her for Christmas. I make no apologies! Haunted ghost goat pillows? DONE! A plant she can’t kill? Done. Nice purse? Done! Cos her ex is a twat that won’t get her anything. So it all falls on their aunty. And I’m a great aunty.

Gliblet · 25/12/2025 20:46

Jewellery, perfume, books, a wood carving set from DH (which came with plasters 🤣 it's like they've met me...), chocolates, and a gorgeous embroidered scarf from DS13 who apparently spent so long agonising over which one to buy the stallholder at the Christmas market gave him a 'good son' discount when he finally chose (probably out of sheer relief that he was going to go away and stop asking to see every single design in every single colour 😆 )
