For those of us lucky enough to receive presents, did you get anything nice? We all rally around our kids as we should, but what about you.
I got 5 new books, 2 charms for my bracelet, a travel coffee mug, and a switch game I’ve been wanting for a while - yes I’m one of those 30 somethings who enjoys playing 😀what did you get?

OP posts:
FrankTurnersCat · 25/12/2025 20:49

My lovely step dad cleaned up and refilled (as well as left some of the old tools in) my mum's old blue metal tool box. Ex DH and i divorced this year and he took all the tools and useful things with him. Mum died nearly 4 years ago so the tool box is extra special, plus I now have my own screwdriver set, electric drill & hammer!
My step sis got me a quiver - i am severely sight impaired and use a white stick. I jokingly said once I wanted a holster or similar so I could go "hands free" when needed. Now I feel like daredevil!

NessShaness · 25/12/2025 20:49

I’ve been truly spoiled this year.

Space NK advent calendar
Dry Robe
Kindle
Chocolates
Good coffee
A lovely plum coloured hoody
NEOM set with smellies, candles, bubble bath, body lotion and hand cream
Coat
Cash

All from DH, DC, and my parents/step parent.

I don’t usually get such lovely gifts from DH so I’m feeling very lucky and grateful x

Bippidee · 25/12/2025 21:22

I had to but my own gifts and have the cash transferred I did not want to open them from under the tree though.

Lauz841 · 25/12/2025 21:23

My husband was taken into hospital 6 weeks ago following a massive stroke. Therefore I was fairly present-less this year, but did receive a huge box of chocolates from my teen son, bought with his own money, which meant more to me than anything else would have.

MyRoseRaven · 25/12/2025 21:23

A rain jacket and a book I already have. I appreciate the sentiment and effort that went into choosing the gifts so I am not complaining.

ChrisMartinsKisskam · 25/12/2025 21:28

Bedroomdilemmas113 · 25/12/2025 21:36

A really fabulous emerald and diamond cocktail ring, some fancy perfumes, a huge and fabulous bouquet of flowers, a couple of beauty treatments. I am very grateful!

CoodleMoodle · 25/12/2025 21:39

Two books based on TV shows I love (one from DH and one from DD11)
PS5 game (from DS7)
New dressing gown (from the bird!)
Chocolate

I am owed a 2026 wall calendar as DH couldn't get the one I asked for (he did try), but that's fine. Very happy this year!

FountainofTruth · 25/12/2025 21:39
