What did you get for Christmas?

For those of us lucky enough to receive presents, did you get anything nice? We all rally around our kids as we should, but what about you.
I got 5 new books, 2 charms for my bracelet, a travel coffee mug, and a switch game I’ve been wanting for a while - yes I’m one of those 30 somethings who enjoys playing 😀what did you get?

Two new jumpers a lovely handbag some new perfume a spa voucher race pins running top pillow and blanket new pjs moisturiser face wash make up. Spoiled really

However we treated ourselves to tickets to see David Harewood & Toby Jones in Othello in November, and a an overnight trip to Glasgow to see Jamiroquai in early December. We had a great time at both

Nothing. Single parent and my family have stopped doing presents for adults. I bought myself some Baileys and had a Baileys hot chocolate though.

Leather gloves, a new mixing bowl and a brooch from husband. All perfect. Flowers and chocs from best friend. New chopping board and a candle making set from in laws and lots of beauty bits and new PJs from my parents.

A good haul… though I’m shocked at not a single book.

The best present ever: my first grandchild born in the early hours - nothing else (I choose not to do Xmas) but this was just lovely, as was spending time with my son, his partner and their baby this afternoon.

My kids gifted me a "proper" dressing gown (by which I mean oversized, heavy and thick terry towelling - cosy, but not sweaty like those fleecy ones) and a beautiful Rituals gift set, which smells divine.

DH gifted me a lovey cream jumper from Sweaty Betty.

I got some lovely presents including short Uggs , slippers , radley purse , radley card case , L’Occitane shower gels , shower steamers , a jumper , a couple of CDs , pasta bowls and my grand cat got me a new Jo Malone reed diffuser .

I bought myself a candle, a Christmas light up snow globe and a ceramic dish I’d been converting for ages (it’s only me and DD on Christmas morning so I buy a couple of things to open with her in the morning, she’s only 8 so can’t shop for me by herself).

I’m very happy, even the duplicate jigsaw as we laughed about it.

Coffee machine and coffee, a heavy hoodie, homemade peppermint creams, box of truffles. Very happy with that.

I just got token gifts chocolate and wine from colleagues (kind) and family (couldn’t be arsed). My husband is buying me a spa day which I will appreciate! I am going to buy myself some nice things I wish I had gotten! I’m not hard to buy for, I have a lot of hobbies. Next year I’ll send the same energy back!

From DH: sleep headband, new rucksack, bird lego, goldfinch necklace

From DS1: water flosser (recommended on here months ago, I got excited, told him about them, I never got round to getting one for myself, he was inspired and bought one for himself and recently asked if I’d like one the same as he could guarantee it works, but didn’t want to get it as a surprise in case I was offended at implied poor oral hygiene) and a bar of Lindt chocolate (dark chocolate caramel hint of sea salt)

From DS2: keyring with hedgehog and guinea pig charm. Apparently the guinea pig officially brings good luck so I will never lose my keys again (I have lost them numerous times over the years) and a bar of Lindt chocolate (dark with sea salt)

I was excited to give them my presents, but they have surpassed themselves in what they’ve chosen for me.

I got a fabulous stash this year. Main gifts from DH is a whippy ice cream and slushie maker and a diamond pendant and matching earings in white gold and sapphire and diamond earrings in yellow gold to match a necklace and ring I already have. Stocking gifts included a long sleeved top with a cat tangled in fairy lights, a cat jigsaw puzzle, a cookery book, a metal water bottle, memory foam seat pad for when I sit for hours watching the cricket, a little flask, a new washbag, a heated back pad as my old one had broke, Malteasers, QS creams, black gloves, Aussie leave in hair conditioner, black hoodie, an enormous box of flakes and treats ice cream sauces and cones. Ice cream mix and a beautiful huge arrangement of fresh flowers from my DD which I had 2 weeks ago when I saw her. I'm feeling very lucky and happy.

I feel very lucky and am super grateful

Spa voucher, chocolates, body creams, mini baileys and mini liqueurs, craft kits, a calendar and a thing which says it massages your neck and shoulders - not taken it out of the box yet so I don’t know how (whether?) it works but I’m hoping it’s helpful.

Dyson airwrap, a framed picture of me and the kids, a spa day and night in a hotel with both kids staying with grandparents 🎉 from DH, he did amazing!

I also got lovely pjs, neom candle and bubble bath, a couple of vouchers and a new dressing gown from family members.

I’m sorry about the olive oil, it’s a very random present to receive and all the more so if the person who gave it to you is suffering with declining mental health. Id be very sad as to what receiving it could mean in real terms and I didn’t want to laugh about it.

The food was all perfect except the bread sauce - too runny.

A KitchenAid and accessories, an Apple Pencil pro (I enjoy digital art), a cookbook, a gift card to an art store, 2 beautiful handcrafted mugs from a local ceramic artist, a bird feeder with a camera and a bag of bird seed. It was overwhelmingly a fab day :)
