All of our ornaments have a story which I love.

Some others would consider ugly but they’re meaningful to us.

My skiing avocado wins ugliest on our tree and was bought for me by my DD. Because I’m keto (eat a lot of avocado) and love skiing

@Snooks1971 I don't quite know how to put this but.....er....your flamingo... its knees bend the wrong way😂

@RescueMeFromThisSilliness the legs are fine - those joints in the middle aren't knees, they're ankles. Like the back legs of most four-legged mammals.

Yes I know all that, which is why I posted a picture of an actual flamingo to demonstrate what I was on about. The tree ornament has them the wrong way round.

Whilst we're on the subject (for anyone happening to read this who might randomly be interested in mammalian anatomy), the elephant has proper forward-facing knees on the hind legs.

When I went to the post office to send off the much deserved penicorn in a small parcel to the lovely @PegDope in Ireland, the man behind the counter said he needed to fill in a customs declaration form. He started tapping away on his computer filling in a variety of details and then he said:
