This post is a work in process and if you have any links you’d like to share or would be good to add then please do let me know. The general consensus for the thread is to share any bargainous links, ideas and/or discount codes or information. No affiliate links (is that the right word?) And any referral links to the separate thread linked below. This is a warm, friendly, kind and cosy corner of mn filled with Christmas cookies and hot chocolate - let’s keep it that way!

If you have any referral links then please post on this thread https://www.mumsnet.com/talk/christmas/5212180-bargain-referrals-thread-7 and share around the joy/referral perks.

It's nearly time! November is tomorrow and Mariah Carey will be officially announcing the start of festivities Grin . Hope you're all well and just wanted to give you all a massive thank you so sharing these wonderful ideas and codes etc. It helps me SO MUCH. I know I don't post much on here (various things going on) but I appreciate this warm place of mn so much.

@FilthyforFirth& @Ewockwe’ve had that light for a few years and DS liked it.

My hit present for football mad kids was a light up football (available on Amazon), those beanie hats with a light in the front of them and fairy lights to wrap around the goal. I came up with that for one of the Covid Xmases and the DC spent hours out in the garden in the dark playing. It completely destroyed the lawn and created a lot of washing but I was so pleased they had something to do.

I just went to their website and there was a banner at the top to download the app

Jellybum2019 · 01/11/2025 17:15

Little live pets waddling penguin down to £10, think these are usually reduced to the £14 mark I haven’t seen it this low before

Nutrition geeks have free delivery at the moment. GEEKY30 gives 30% off too.

Arregaithel · 01/11/2025 17:23

edited; apologies this is not heated

Bedsure for £19.51 double size only (150x200cm)

I think this has been pulled its not working for me?

It’s finished. The links still work for me but the prices have increased.

😢 That’s why I wrote early this morning that you might need to act quickly. 😢

I’ve noticed similar before, by reading here. Some great Boots offers (usually on £10 Tuesday) go out of stock quickly, reappear briefly when most of us are asleep and then disappear completely at that price.

Thanks all. First time to this thread and so far have bought candle lamps, EarPod cleaners, crab spoon holder and David Mitchell History book. All things I wouldn’t have thought of but I know will be appreciated and used.
I needed some new moisturiser and tried to find an offer on CLINIQUE. John Lewis have got 20% off and if you spend £60 or more a fab free gift. All products that I will use. So DH has now bought me that for Christmas🙌.
Those who are more savvy might know of better Black Friday deals but I was v happy with it.

David Mitchell history book?? I must of missed this one and have perfect person for can you share info please??

It's Unruly and it's still £6 on Amazon as it was when posted

OliverBabish · 01/11/2025 18:35

I’m listening to the Unruly audiobook atm - very funny in usual Mitchell style. Would be a good gift for anyone who enjoys his stuff

just checked my first email arrived less than a minute after subscribing and then the code arrived 2 minutes after confirming email.
this was my code not sure if unique
Deans2-DA5KUB

Thanks @Christmasmcchristmasface , unfortunatelythe the code didn't work so they must be unique. I don't really need to buy a ton of shortbread so not sure why I'm so bothered about not getting a 10% discount on stuff I don't need 😄

For silk pillowcases,we have some from Jasmine silk, They have 15% off for black Friday as well at the moment.
My daughter uses ones with cotton underside so it doesn't slip about like full silk ones do. Great quality and washes well.
They also sell on Amazon.

www.jasminesilk.com/products/silk-pillowcase-with-cotton-underside

Hi, do these cases zip closed can I ask? I bought a silk one off ASOS years ago but couldn't get away with it as it zipped and squished my pillow up making it more solid and uncomfy so I got rid of it.

nearlylovemyusername · 01/11/2025 19:33

Do you know if Fortnum&Mason ever do any discount codes? I have a specific request from a relative, but it's so £££

Comefromaway · 01/11/2025 19:39

I’ve never known a code & dh buys me a present from there every year (biscuits & teabags)

The one I linked to is just a fold in type closure rather than zipped 🙂

RaymondPeterfellow · 01/11/2025 20:14

Some Laithwaites Wine codes, could work out as good value for Christmas drinks as banks often have cashback on this website as well!

Thread 8 - the one with all the pillow talk
Comefromaway · 01/11/2025 20:18

Just to say both my dad & my brother have regular Laithwaites subscriptions & the wine is great.

Tweedled · 01/11/2025 20:47

Not Christmassy but Wintery😀
Fine bedding company have a lot of nightlark coverless duvets on offer at half price. Plus an extra 10% discount for signing up.
Some nice designs.

NancyCarey · 01/11/2025 20:49

Just to point out that the codes noted above for Laithwaites will probably stack with a referral code - I know the first time I ordered from them I used a referral and a deal like that and I got both.

so use a link to get £40 off £80 (get one from the referrals board), make sure you have 12 bottles in your basket then use the code above too.

you might also find you can get a good discount or cash back as noted above with your bank or Amex card. Stack up the offers!

Arregaithel · 01/11/2025 21:07

was added at end of thread 7, just in case it was missed 😊

this is a wonderful site full of British artisans, something a wee bit different

This is an excellent penguin who can walk on carpet. We have wars at home over him...

ZeroDucksLeft · 01/11/2025 21:16

I’m a few pages behind in case it’s already been posted but Tesco had a set of garden Mini Brands Create at £15 instead of £30 today which seemed like a good deal.

25% off at NOMO with code NOMO25. (Dairy, egg, gluten and nut free chocolate)

Their Christmas stock is on there now. I bought an advent calendar, selection boxes, Christmas tree slab and also their mini reindeers.

Delivery was free over £36

I've never known them to have any offer codes but sometimes offer free delivery. Not seen their free delivery offer yet this year.

NancyCarey · 01/11/2025 21:36

For anyone who loves the really cheesy Hallmark movies, a heads up that you can get a free month of hallmark plus at the moment with the code VMG2025.

You’ll need a VPN to watch outside the US but that’s easily done, and it means you get access to all of the new 2025 films which I don’t think you can get in the UK otherwise. I like to watch on my iPad while I’m doing the ironing, my nails etc 🤩

’Tis the season…
