This post is a work in process and if you have any links you’d like to share or would be good to add then please do let me know. The general consensus for the thread is to share any bargainous links, ideas and/or discount codes or information. No affiliate links (is that the right word?) And any referral links to the separate thread linked below. This is a warm, friendly, kind and cosy corner of mn filled with Christmas cookies and hot chocolate - let’s keep it that way!

If you have any referral links then please post on this thread https://www.mumsnet.com/talk/christmas/5212180-bargain-referrals-thread-7 and share around the joy/referral perks.

It's nearly time! November is tomorrow and Mariah Carey will be officially announcing the start of festivities Grin . Hope you're all well and just wanted to give you all a massive thank you so sharing these wonderful ideas and codes etc. It helps me SO MUCH. I know I don't post much on here (various things going on) but I appreciate this warm place of mn so much.

Does anyone know anywhere that does a discount on yeti tumblers? The one I am after is £20 everywhere, but wondered if they did a black Friday offer anywhere? Thanks

Ilovebabykangaroo · 09/11/2025 14:47

Does anyone have an Oodie discount code?

Fuckingfuckssake · 09/11/2025 14:49

My local Aldi had a dupe Dyson/Shark multi styler in when I was there on Friday, £49.99. I have a reconditioned Shark from eBay and rate it .

Does anyone think that considering Black Friday sales started a month before the actual day that there will be any real bargains to be had? Or are they all just available now and the day will be a non event? I don't know whether to buy things now, or to wait and see.

Does anyone know if Chelsea Peers does a Black Friday discount?

Really struggling with Degusta - emailed them about the missing advent calendar and got a fairly quick email back saying the usual ‘check around the property and ask the neighbours’

Since then I’ve been emailing and sent a Facebook message and no response at all.
There’s a number on the website but when I ring, it just says the number is not being used right now

Stuck for what to do next and a bit disappointed in their ‘customer service’…..

Have you tried contacting the courier? Mine was Evri. Said it had been delivered on 30th October but no sign of it and nothing on the Ring doorbell. Contacted both Degusta and Evri and it miraculously turned up on 2nd November. Don’t know if contacting the courier worked but worth a try. It was delivered before either of them responded to my message.

Have you got a M&S Sparx card? If so, check your offers as I currently have 25% off Chelsea Peers.

@oatmilkisntsobad i had one when kiddos were tiny as I constantly left cold cups of tea everywhere or ended up putting them in the microwave and forgetting about it. It was really amazing but because its hand wash only and obviously tea stays in it longer than usual, it was quite hard to keep it clean as it would be hotter at the bottom. It was a god send in the toddler years but not sure it’s better than a much cheaper travel mug for a non frazzled mum. DH now makes my morning cup in an insulated cup and leaves it on the bedside table as that’s the only one that goes cold as I’m still asleep when he leaves. Much more bargainous!

Teen niece requested jewellery. Any good website with discounts atm?

Bohomoon have a lot of pieces down to £10 as part of their black friday sale. - and their stuff is reasonable. Obviously not high end, but I got DD a bracelet from there which she wears everyday and it’s held up well
also Lisa Angel have a selection of pieces on 3 for £30 - which is also a good deal as most of them seem to be £20 a piece

gingerbreadmumm · 09/11/2025 16:03

Thanks for the Toni/Yoto advice al, and baby gift ideas x

hby9628 · 09/11/2025 16:11

@Nejakeep an eye on Abbott Lyon over Black Friday. They had a sale on recently & I managed to get my teen a gorgeous ring for about £18. It was recommended on this thread

Aaarghhh!! Need to buy a new freezer! Not very festive but necessary. Has anyone got any Argos codes they wouldn’t mind sending me please? I have BLC but it’s just 5% off gift vouchers which I’ll use but was hoping for more! Thank you!

We bought a new one (large!) in the summer.
Check Amazon if you use them. Same model was same price as Argos but saved quite a lot because Amazon delivery was free.

Calicone · 09/11/2025 16:16

@boobybum Thank you for this, unfortunately I have Nobody’s Child and Calvin Klein but will keep checking

Would anyone have a code for Smiggle please?

I get their emails and they often do offers but not codes - postage always puts me off. They do have some offers until tonight but you might already know that - will attach a photo from the email - no code needed

@Pluto356oh sh*t. That’s rubbish

IfyoushouldmeetaCrocodile · 09/11/2025 17:21

Does anyone know anything about gaming laptops, or better still has spotted a bargain? We don't have room for a tower system and he actually needs a new laptop for schoolwork so I thought I could combine the 2. We don't have a massive budget though and I'm wondering if the ones around the £600 mark are just a waste of money?

Is the Adidas outlet a different website? I've ordered from the normal Adidas store loads of times without issue, including returns!

I think it’s just a separate section on the main website. Thanks!

GiddyDog · 09/11/2025 17:30

Looking for recommendations for a scooter for a fairly tall 8 year old boy. Something decently sturdy but hopefully as bargainous as possible as it's from grandparents and I don't want to stretch their budget.

If you sign up with a new email address you'll get a 20% off code but colour Friday launches in one week

13goingon31 · 09/11/2025 17:41

Does anyone remember h&m black Friday and cyber Monday from last year? Online it says cyber Monday has better deals but I don't want things to be sold out by then and have the same amount off

I’d recommend buying from a skate park if they have a shop attached - really great service, small independent retailer plus they’re there to advise re-size etc. and it will be customised to his own personal style. Not the cheapest way of buying a scooter but IMO definitely the best way.
