This post is a work in process and if you have any links you’d like to share or would be good to add then please do let me know. The general consensus for the thread is to share any bargainous links, ideas and/or discount codes or information. No affiliate links (is that the right word?) And any referral links to the separate thread linked below. This is a warm, friendly, kind and cosy corner of mn filled with Christmas cookies and hot chocolate - let’s keep it that way!

If you have any referral links then please post on this thread https://www.mumsnet.com/talk/christmas/5212180-bargain-referrals-thread-7 and share around the joy/referral perks.

I've PMd you the link to the shop 😊

Thank you. DIL loves expensive candles but I can’t justify £50 for a candle just because it has nice packaging

Any suggestions for a small (£10?) gift for a 4 year old girl that I don’t know very well? I do know she likes colouring.

These Lego botanicals are 30% off

m&s currently has quite a big sale on, lots of things that might be useful like photo frames, mugs and candles are half price.

also if anyone hasn’t realised the new toniebox is out. The original one is currently on sale, so if you’re not bothered about all the features of the new one it could be a good time to buy, especially if you’re going second hand.

Osborne sticker books are gorgeous quality and go down well with that age group.

rodentgirl · 05/09/2025 10:01

Thanks everyone for super recs so far. I'm eyeing up Garden Trading sale, some really good reductions on classy looking home/kitchen/garden bits if you sort sale items by low price - with a code on site for an additional 10% off.

Merrow · 05/09/2025 10:05

There are lots of Tonies at tk maxx online right now - £9 each, which I thought was good (although I might be wrong as we don't have a Tonie box!)

SkinnyOatFlatWhiteForMePlease · 05/09/2025 10:32

Has anyone seen a discount for Adanola?

I’d go for a good quality colouring book like this Melissa and Doug one and add a new set of crayola pens.
The scratch art pads are another idea or the Melissa and Doug reusable sticker pads.

Yesss!!!! Christmas Bargain thread!!

I've just bought this 10" digital photo frame for my Mum for Christmas- it is showing as £50 on Amazon and then I ticked to add a voucher code to take it down to £30. It seems to have a decent number of good reviews on Amazon but obviously I can't comment yet as I literally just ordered it:

hugsandpugs · 04/09/2025 20:31

Yes this is the same as what’s happening with me 🫣

I put my £170 car breakdown through them successfully for several years. last year it got denied despite showing as a dropdown to claim. I disputed it and then escalated when they denied it again and they said I ‘hadn’t properly followed their tracking process’ when I did exactly what they said to and turned off all non-track settings etc 😩
I stopped using them and moved to Quidco which did pay out eventually for this years breakdown, so may be worth looking at them for cashback instead?

Also @Rorys I did manage to get this in the summer for about £7 so it’s worth adding it to a basket and seeing if it goes down again. It’s massive so will look good wrapped up

WhyDoesItAlways · 05/09/2025 12:02

Does anyone have any recommendations for an electric drum kit for a 9 year old beginner?

Also looking for disney character figurines that at 3cm tall. I can find lots of 4cm tall ones but none smaller. Ive seen the busy books but can't see how tall the figures are.

Comefromaway · 05/09/2025 12:13

Alesis nitro mesh is a popular starter kit. Mesh heads give a more realistic feel.

Of course Roland V drums are the gold standard (though I know a drummer who preferred ATV) but best to wait until they are older for those. Others to look at would include Millennium.

Thank you, I was looking at Alesis so good to see a recommendation for it.

"Labubu" advent calendar £19.99

Edited

Please don’t buy this if your recipient knows anything about Labubu. It is not official POPMART merchandise but if you still would like to get it then worth looking at temu/shein/aliexpress, as I’d imagine it would be a lot cheaper!

ChristmasMad1 · 03/09/2025 19:56

Does anyone know where I can get some cheap mugs/cups for my children for the Christmas Eve box?

Doesn't have to be a Christmas mug / cup but something cheap would be great as they always seems to get lost or broken 🙄

I usually get lovely Christmas mugs from Home Bargains. B&M have done some lovely ones this year too.

@Reastie filling up fast!

ChristmasMad1 · 05/09/2025 13:39

With Haul being 60% off is there any items anyone recommends?

IlovePond · 05/09/2025 13:46

My Benefit orders have arrived: I paid about £26.50 in total.

My first order- on my account - was a reduced blusher palette, (maybe why the 20% off didn’t kick in?) plus two samples and two freebies for £15+.

Of course, I would have just bought the £10 bag if it hadn’t been OOS, but I did need some blusher!

The £10 gift bag ordered by DH on his account when it reappeared, plus three freebies and two samples was about £11 and the 20% off worked. This was by far the best value of the two orders and I am very pleased with it.

Thanks so much to the people who flagged up this offer.

Cos1970 · 05/09/2025 13:47

Has anyone seen any nice Christmas pyjamas IRL? I’ve only see some in B&M and I didn’t really like any of them. I usually get a matching pair for my DS and I to wear.

Elpheba · 05/09/2025 14:04

Just done a haul order- hopefully I can resist doing too many!
I’ve ordered- 4x elastic shoelaces that you can put a clip on (Stacey Solomon’s sister shared them the other day).
2 x women’s memory foam slippers
2 x material swim hats (kids have to wear these for school so useful to have spares)
car organiser hooks (for iPads etc on long trips)
some kids stickers
a sketch book
4 pairs of socks
two fancy hair clip bows
3 baseball caps
All came to £15- little bits that add up quickly when you buy them at “normal” shops or when you can’t wait for delivery- so am pleased and no doubt I’ll place more orders when I see what other people have bought!
