Posting on behalf of @reastie hope you don’t mind 🎄 🎅

Greetings and welcome one and all to a friendly and joyful corner of mn - the Christmas bargain thread. Here, we share Christmas present purchases, ideas, links and discount codes, with the aim to spread the Christmas magic and joy and reduce the financial stress.
It's a very busy thread, so see the tips below for helping everything run smoothly and avoiding repetitions of Cookiegate etc al. It's a lovely, friendly bunch and I'm so grateful to each and every one of you for building such a warm, fuzzy and generous spot on mn. I know I've save so much over the years and am so grateful to all of you for sharing.
Pull up a sleigh and relax with a mulled wine and mince pie, for Christmas has nearly arrived!
@ me if you need anything or you want to let me know anything - the thread moves so fast I can't always keep up so this really helps
A few pointers to make everyone’s life easier and the thread be as useful as possible:
It’s handy to put in bold the bargains so they’re easy to spot
No affiliate links
No need to place mark or post messages of hello or thanks at the start of a new thread - use the ‘watch thread’ button
Be nice or leave
If you have any voucher codes to share (or want to check for any) then have a look https://www.mumsnet.com/talk/christmas/5212144-sharing-voucher-codes
The current referral thread for sharing referral codes here . Please use this rather than this page to share referral links to make the sharing fair.
To make clicks links, you set it up like this only without any spaces apart from between the website and the word(s) you’re writing: www.bargainsahoyeveryonecomehere.co.uk
Thanks @RainbowZebraWarrior for the instructions below.
To make something bold, put this star * either side of the word you want to bold (with no spaces in between)
So starhellostar would look like this.
hello
Obviously use the * not the word star
Some of the below is copied and pasted from previous years, so do @ me if the links don't work
Stock informer is a handy site ^http://www.stockinformer.co.uk/default.aspx?fullsite=1^

I think the jl glitch was that you got £20 off every item you put in the basket.
It was originally for £20 off £100 spent on ysl beauty but it majorly glitched.
My order was upheld, I paid £300 but it should have been double that. I think for me it worked out as getting the sale price before Xmas instead of in january

SugarIsHardtoAvoid · 06/12/2024 20:01

thank you for the Xmas cuddly help- Thanks very much MulticolourTriangles and all sorted now Wellwhoknewthat

Yes, that was it.

I think this is why JL never give me vouchers even when everyone else gets them. They hold a grudge! 😅

bizzey · 06/12/2024 20:08

Ahh yes ....so if something was £24..you were only charged £4 !

Was that 2020 ?

JustLookingThanks · 06/12/2024 20:08

I posted about the Degusta Advent calendar in the last thread and the link didn't seem to include the discount to make it £29:99 down from £44:99, it does work when you click on it, just doesn't show on the first page unless you scroll down. Lots of useful stuff for Christmas.

Degusta box - link to offer at bottom of page
The discount code you need is FBAC24
This is the link to the Contents

Haven’t been around much this year (horrible couple of months) but I wanted to warn people to check any Cuisinart purchases sooner rather than later, their customer service returning a gift that arrived damaged has been absolutely shocking! Still trying to get a refund from October 😣

Yes but I wasn't quite so savvy, I was buying gift sets so was more like £20 off £50 or something like that. It was 2021 or 2022 I think.
I was also the poster who mentioned the ea glitch this year but again I wasn't savvy and I did buy an item with the blockbuster/showstopper.
I name change a lot

Youreabadbanana · 06/12/2024 20:24

It was 2021, I still have the invoice email. I got a big lego set, a barbie car and some beauty/fragrance gift sets

Yeknom · 06/12/2024 20:27

Thanks! Just ordered 2 x Fae Farms from Argos :) hopefully won't get cancelled!

SweetPeaPods · 06/12/2024 20:27

Anyone used the website bric-a-brac?
They have Lego poly bags 3 for £10.

Alpolonia · 06/12/2024 20:28

Thanks for the Sock Shop info. I ordered two reduced advent calendars and actually got a 15% discount: keyworker15, it was just showing on the payment page. It was £50, with free delivery and a free pair of socks. The free socks and one of the calendars are a present to me!!

Youreabadbanana · 06/12/2024 20:33

Looking at my email invoice, I really wasn't savvy, I did purchase a ysl gift set for £102.40! Maybe that's why my order was upheld. I know lots had theirs cancelled

noodledoodler · 06/12/2024 20:34

The ELF offers keep changing so worth a check in, I got a full size eye palette £10 free with rewards plus a moisturiser with points I had, then free delivery on top .
My purchase was a lip oil which made 8 quid the lot, alright I think.

TherebytheGraceofGodgoI · 06/12/2024 20:40

@Ssfb3 the Silent night cuddle cushion is back in stock in Argos for home delivery only. Price has gone back up to £30 now

Peakyblindsiders · 06/12/2024 20:42

Please can I ask about Valentte? A poster suggested something from there earlier in thread and I’ve just been having a browse and like the look of some of the stuff. Has anyone had the reed diffusers and oils from there and can recommend? Are there any deals available or have I missed out on some? It’s bits for me so I can wait if they do regular sales etc. Thank you

Alpolonia · 06/12/2024 20:48

Thanks noodledoodler, I checked ELF and had the same rewards. I managed to buy this set which had been out of stock for a while. I’ve built up quite a selection of freebies from them.

Was looking forward to RL shopping tomorrow in Birmingham to see the Xmas markets etc… now with the weather warning I’m unsure I want to go!
Coach is saying the trip is still going ahead at the moment 🙈😬 Bit of a long journey from South Wales too!

has anybody ever bought from m&m online please? trainers for DS are reasonable on there but it’s an unknown for me 🤔

Yes, probably 18+ years ago!

hugsandpugs · 06/12/2024 20:59

For those ordering from ELF there is a free shipping voucher showing on mine (usable when you spend over £5) also 10% cash back on top cash back

Worth checking student beans too for additional discount. I get 20% off with gradBeans

TimPat · 06/12/2024 21:00

@pasinphoebe most of DS wardrobe is from m&m, less for DD but have had some absolute bargains for her too over the years (£16 for a down filled Adidas winter jacket a few years back!). I do the £9.99 annual express delivery and have never had a single problem with an order.

MaybeItsJustTimeToStop · 06/12/2024 21:02

@SweetPeaPods I've ordered from them a couple of times, they have the offer all year round, delivery has always been pretty quick.

Ssfb3 · 06/12/2024 21:10

@TherebytheGraceofGodgoI thank you for remembering! I’ve just checked and it’s still showing not available even for delivery for me. Still hopeful though as this shows stock is being added 🤞

TherebytheGraceofGodgoI · 06/12/2024 21:14

@Ssfb3 yep gone out of stock now, I had just ordered it, maybe I had the last one 🤷‍♀️

Have a look on boohoo man! I managed to get DS (13) who wears men’s sizes a Xmas jumper for 5.95! It was reduced from £25 to £7 then I used the code XMAS15 for an extra 15% off

Hey,

I did get your previous post & have indeed ordered 2! Like you, one reduced to £8, then further 15% off. The other is a Buddy the Elf sweatshirt I've bought bigger so he'll get 2 years out of it (we're going to the musical 👏) & he adores that film- that was £15, do not too bad.

I actually spent a pleasant 40 minutes with DS2 (18), who normally just grunts at me, choosing clothes he badly needs with birthday money he has. I need to force him to choose anything, but he was quite good natured tonight. It's all baggy, shapeless stuff for his lanky frame, but least he won't be naked/ rugby shorts in December.

XMAS15 only works on Xmas jumpers, but most things are 40% off, so bargainous. Tracked immediately with TCB too.

Huge thanks for the tip 🙏

flouncymcflouncerson · 06/12/2024 15:27

Thank you to whoever posted about simply be :) I got DD some trainers, they didn’t have the ones she wanted but got her a different pair which should be ok i think. Couldn’t find any children’s ones for DD12 sadly but will keep browsing online and something will show up I hope! She’s trying to be stylish and cool but I’d rather spend less on her since she’s got more growing to do!

That was me! I couldn't believe it when I found it last night. So bargainous.

I hope they fit for her.

For anyone else, site wide there's reductions and FSTVE gets a further 30% off everything.

A PP mentioned yesterday that it probably means they're in trouble - owned by Very- which is sad 😔
