Posting on behalf of @reastie hope you don’t mind 🎄 🎅

Greetings and welcome one and all to a friendly and joyful corner of mn - the Christmas bargain thread. Here, we share Christmas present purchases, ideas, links and discount codes, with the aim to spread the Christmas magic and joy and reduce the financial stress.
It's a very busy thread, so see the tips below for helping everything run smoothly and avoiding repetitions of Cookiegate etc al. It's a lovely, friendly bunch and I'm so grateful to each and every one of you for building such a warm, fuzzy and generous spot on mn. I know I've save so much over the years and am so grateful to all of you for sharing.
Pull up a sleigh and relax with a mulled wine and mince pie, for Christmas has nearly arrived!
@ me if you need anything or you want to let me know anything - the thread moves so fast I can't always keep up so this really helps
A few pointers to make everyone’s life easier and the thread be as useful as possible:
It’s handy to put in bold the bargains so they’re easy to spot
No affiliate links
No need to place mark or post messages of hello or thanks at the start of a new thread - use the ‘watch thread’ button
Be nice or leave
If you have any voucher codes to share (or want to check for any) then have a look https://www.mumsnet.com/talk/christmas/5212144-sharing-voucher-codes
The current referral thread for sharing referral codes here . Please use this rather than this page to share referral links to make the sharing fair.
To make clicks links, you set it up like this only without any spaces apart from between the website and the word(s) you’re writing: www.bargainsahoyeveryonecomehere.co.uk
Thanks @RainbowZebraWarrior for the instructions below.
To make something bold, put this star * either side of the word you want to bold (with no spaces in between)
So starhellostar would look like this.
hello
Obviously use the * not the word star
Some of the below is copied and pasted from previous years, so do @ me if the links don't work
Stock informer is a handy site ^http://www.stockinformer.co.uk/default.aspx?fullsite=1^

Hey,

I did get your previous post & have indeed ordered 2! Like you, one reduced to £8, then further 15% off. The other is a Buddy the Elf sweatshirt I've bought bigger so he'll get 2 years out of it (we're going to the musical 👏) & he adores that film- that was £15, do not too bad.

I actually spent a pleasant 40 minutes with DS2 (18), who normally just grunts at me, choosing clothes he badly needs with birthday money he has. I need to force him to choose anything, but he was quite good natured tonight. It's all baggy, shapeless stuff for his lanky frame, but least he won't be naked/ rugby shorts in December.

XMAS15 only works on Xmas jumpers, but most things are 40% off, so bargainous. Tracked immediately with TCB too.

Huge thanks for the tip 🙏

Aww yay glad you managed to get some for him. I ordered the merry Christmas ya filthy animal one for DS at his request 😂 just hope he doesn’t get in trouble at school for it being ‘offensive’. Was actually surprised when it came back at how good quality it is and nice&soft! Should last him for next year easily too.

ELF is one of the best Xmas films, enjoy the musical! I’m not jealous at all 😅😝

Mine tracked straight away with TCB too

@Puffalicious would the gazelles be an 'in thing' for an 18year old female? Trying to get Auntie brownie points!!!!

On Handsome Dan, not sure what the reviews are saying. I had a delivery from them yesterday, which included a Shacket. The items and quality are excellent, I was really pleased as it's for my BIL and he's had a bad year losing his Dad so wanted a good present. The delivery however took a while (2 weeks).

The Gazelles are apparently what all the girls are wearing at DS1's uni- which he's told me on the phone after I've ordered for me 😀. He did follow it with 'But you can rock it, mum' 🤣. Bless him. He's v cool (like his father, not me!) so I imagine they'll be an excellent choice for cool auntie points.

I got loads of cool auntie points last year with bargainous Vans on here last year for DNiece.

Check out Simply Be for her size & colour- only place discounting them that I can see.

Thanks so much for the Handsome Dan info. There were a load of poor reviews online, so was a bit doubtful. That's really helpful. Thanks.

@bizzey

most memorable, for me

@HulahoopsBBQbeef from all the lucky Nespresso vertuo machine plus 80 capsules for £29

@hugsandpugs for the sockshop LOUNGE20 for 2 lounge wear for £20 & a further 10% with Socknews10

@PaddingtonTwinkles flowerandwhite.co.uk/winter-bliss-bundle.html 50 bars for for £19 (still live until ~midnight tonight)

What are the flower and white bars like? Is it all about them being gluten free? I hâte to let a bargain get past me……

pasinphoebe · 06/12/2024 17:23

has anybody ever bought from m&m online please? trainers for DS are reasonable on there but it’s an unknown for me 🤔

I order ALL the time. With 3 boys I've been a constant customer over the years. Buy the £2.99 return label as it's cheapest way. Great prices & customer service I've found too.

Ssfb3 · 06/12/2024 21:34

@TherebytheGraceofGodgoI at least one of us got it if that’s the case lol. I’ll keep the tab open on my phone so I can keep an eye on any stock coming in.

Please can I ask about Valentte? A poster suggested something from there earlier in thread and I’ve just been having a browse and like the look of some of the stuff. Has anyone had the reed diffusers and oils from there and can recommend? Are there any deals available or have I missed out on some? It’s bits for me so I can wait if they do regular sales etc. Thank you

This was me too.

I love their products. Was recommended on here 2 years back & I've consistently bought from them as everyone I've given them to as gifts loves them. I've bought more, including their beautifully packaged sets, this year. They're a kitchen top company, made in UK & organic. Prices are excellent. Smell gorgeous & their throw & burn time is excellent too.

They have around 10 offers everyday at the moment- different scents/ items.

Great to hear about the quality. DS2 chose the 'Jingle Balls' one 🙈.

Elf the Musical was £££ , but it's a special treat. We saw an amateur production a friend was in 2 years ago & he's not stopped talking about it since: so if you see a local one I'd recommend it.

That was me! I couldn't believe it when I found it last night. So bargainous.

I hope they fit for her.

For anyone else, site wide there's reductions and FSTVE gets a further 30% off everything.

A PP mentioned yesterday that it probably means they're in trouble - owned by Very- which is sad 😔

Ah thank you puffa. She’s just into a 6 so I think we should be fine! Browsing myself now for things I don’t know I need yet!

I'm having the same problem. I can't find gazelles. I think people are buying the vl courts as they are similar to gazelles

They have Lego poly bags 3 for £10.

Yes - they're fine Smile

@WhyDoesItAlways can you share what the codes for pooch and mutt were please?

Mince3141 · 06/12/2024 22:10

@supersun23 there's a series of books by Ben Aaronovitch about a magical policeman that's really good and meant to be surprisingly active. Like if harry potter was a police officer. Called Rivers of London.

IsMyDaughterHighRisk · 06/12/2024 22:12

Thanks. Found it. It’s just for separates rather than sets which is still a bit pricey for me. I need 2 sets and I’m out of budget now!
