Posting on behalf of @reastie hope you don’t mind 🎄 🎅

Greetings and welcome one and all to a friendly and joyful corner of mn - the Christmas bargain thread. Here, we share Christmas present purchases, ideas, links and discount codes, with the aim to spread the Christmas magic and joy and reduce the financial stress.
It's a very busy thread, so see the tips below for helping everything run smoothly and avoiding repetitions of Cookiegate etc al. It's a lovely, friendly bunch and I'm so grateful to each and every one of you for building such a warm, fuzzy and generous spot on mn. I know I've save so much over the years and am so grateful to all of you for sharing.
Pull up a sleigh and relax with a mulled wine and mince pie, for Christmas has nearly arrived!
@ me if you need anything or you want to let me know anything - the thread moves so fast I can't always keep up so this really helps
A few pointers to make everyone’s life easier and the thread be as useful as possible:
It’s handy to put in bold the bargains so they’re easy to spot
No affiliate links
No need to place mark or post messages of hello or thanks at the start of a new thread - use the ‘watch thread’ button
Be nice or leave
If you have any voucher codes to share (or want to check for any) then have a look https://www.mumsnet.com/talk/christmas/5212144-sharing-voucher-codes
The current referral thread for sharing referral codes here . Please use this rather than this page to share referral links to make the sharing fair.
To make clicks links, you set it up like this only without any spaces apart from between the website and the word(s) you’re writing: www.bargainsahoyeveryonecomehere.co.uk
Thanks @RainbowZebraWarrior for the instructions below.
To make something bold, put this star * either side of the word you want to bold (with no spaces in between)
So starhellostar would look like this.
hello
Obviously use the * not the word star
Some of the below is copied and pasted from previous years, so do @ me if the links don't work
Stock informer is a handy site ^http://www.stockinformer.co.uk/default.aspx?fullsite=1^

I've been poorly and missed the sock shop offer. Could anyone please let me know what it was? 🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻

PlanBea · 06/12/2024 15:49

A few threads ago, someone mentioned stickers for personalising make your own yoto cards - does anyone remember this or did I dream it? Thanks!

I've been poorly and missed the sock shop offer. Could anyone please let me know what it was? 🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻

Sockshop has the sock advent calendars reduced to £29.99 for 25 pairs of bamboo socks, plus an extra 10% off with socknews10, it stacks with the lounge wear offer of 2 for £20 using lounge20. (It also lets you get 3 for £30!)

Can anyone better versed in this give me an idea of an email that says "I'm not happy, I would like £10 refunding and my Prosecco because I feel it's false advertising" for Abel&Cole

It's been a looooong day at work and my brian is fried

who is brian lovely? 😉have a wonderful restful weekend🌸

marshmallowbum · 06/12/2024 15:57

Thanks so much @PlanBea!!

handmademitlove · 06/12/2024 16:13

@EvilHerbivore this is exactly what chatgpt is useful for! Give it a go 🙂

Notlongnow1 · 06/12/2024 16:18

Next thread title - the one where our Brians are fried!

Was relieved to see that all appears to have been dispatched in my Claire's order. Fingers crossed it all actually arrives!

IlovePond · 06/12/2024 16:26

@EvilHerbivore - here’s what I would write - you would need to fill in the details:

*Re: Order number ….

I am writing with regard to the order I placed with you on… for the…using the voucher code…

As you are aware, the code promised the customer £10 off their order and a free bottle of Prosecco.

However, despite having confirmation at point of payment that the amount due was £…, (£…minus £10), I have since been charged £… I have also not received the bottle of Prosecco indicated in the offer.

Please can you refund the overpayment to my credit card and let me know when I can expect the free gift.

Alternately, please let me know how I can return the whole order to you to obtain a full refund.

I look forward to hearing from you.*

In my vast experience as a veteran complainer, it’s best to let a company know what they can do to make it right, as well as what they have done wrong.

Hope this helps @EvilHerbivore

WhyDoesItAlways · 06/12/2024 16:26

Thank you to the poster for the pooch and mutt discounts. I have put two orders in now, got an advent calendar, dental sticks and treats for £6.34 including delivery and then got Christmas turkey dinner, dental sticks and three packs of treats for £3.74 including delivery.

Total bargains and Ddog loves the treats so much I think he might have switched his favourite owner allegiance from DP to me! Will definitely be ordering his treats from here in the future.

There's still 25% off at the moment with code CYBER.

Threeboystwocatsandadog · 06/12/2024 16:29

If anyone had a spare Vodafone code for Grumm that they could PM me I would be very grateful. I have a new ddil this year!

Thanks

EvilHerbivore · 06/12/2024 16:30

@IlovePond that's amazing, thank you. I have sent it so let's see what they say!

EvilHerbivore · 06/12/2024 16:32

@beetr00 thank you! Shows just how much of a day it's been! I work in a complex homeless project and I think there's been something in the air today!

It is actually my birthday Sunday too so very much looking forward to the weekend (minus my Prosecco! 😂)

IlovePond · 06/12/2024 16:33

I am feeling quite smug this pm as I have wrapped all my presents. I am still looking for a couple of ideas for my two adult DS and have to do a Secret Santa for work, but apart from that, I am done!

Btw: my Boots order arrived completely unexpectedly this pm, so now I have a toothbrush to return tomorrow 🙀

IlovePond · 06/12/2024 16:34

You are most welcome @EvilHerbivore - good luck and let us know how you get on!

sansou · 06/12/2024 16:37

Tesco has Bollinger champagne for £43 a bottle and 25% off on 6+ bottles making it £32.25 a bottle. Someone has swept the shelf at my local branch. I consoled myself with a Zandra Rhodes tote bag for £10 and some mulled wine.

IDontKnowWhatYouMean · 06/12/2024 16:49

Re A&C - my reply from them said that they have refunded the £10 (it's not showing in pending transactions yet) and I would get the prosecco with the next order. They were not particularly apologetic, but they did reply quite promptly.

bizzey · 06/12/2024 17:00

@EvilHerbivore ...we are birthday twins 😂🍾🍾🎊🎊!
Hope you still have nice day even if it is without the 🍾🍾!

bizzey · 06/12/2024 17:03

I am just waiting on Deans hamper and then that should be all my deliveries and packages completed ...
Humm ...famous last words maybe 😂😂😂!

IlovePond · 06/12/2024 17:04

Happy Birthday @EvilHerbivore snd @bizzey 🎂

bizzey · 06/12/2024 17:06

Going to leave the lounge wear/pyjamas as they are .

No more extras ...no no no no ....

I have put some in the Amazon basket in case I change my mind !!😂😂

bizzey · 06/12/2024 17:13

Unless I missed it ...
Am I right in thinking there have been no major fantasticly bargainious IT glitches this year ??

MulticolourTriangles · 06/12/2024 17:20

@Passthecoffee I picked up Tilly’s Kitchen Takeover by Matilda Ramsey but was also tempted by a couple of books by Sam Stern which might suit your slightly older DC 😊

pasinphoebe · 06/12/2024 17:23

has anybody ever bought from m&m online please? trainers for DS are reasonable on there but it’s an unknown for me 🤔

Londonmummy66 · 06/12/2024 17:24

Thompson and Morgan have free delivery today and tomorrow - I have jumped on this as some of their RHS Kew seed packets are a) beautiful and b) only 89p. I bought the £2 garden book several threads ago for SIL and now I can add some seeds to it. She's a keen gardener and RHS member so hopefully she'll like them.

daffodilandtulip · 06/12/2024 17:31

I've wrapped about 75% over the weeks, I wrap each time I get the DC a comparable gift. Shopping is done though, just need to sort through it all.

But feeling very happy tonight that the wrapped ones are now under the tree!!!
