Posting on behalf of @reastie hope you don’t mind 🎄 🎅

Greetings and welcome one and all to a friendly and joyful corner of mn - the Christmas bargain thread. Here, we share Christmas present purchases, ideas, links and discount codes, with the aim to spread the Christmas magic and joy and reduce the financial stress.
It's a very busy thread, so see the tips below for helping everything run smoothly and avoiding repetitions of Cookiegate etc al. It's a lovely, friendly bunch and I'm so grateful to each and every one of you for building such a warm, fuzzy and generous spot on mn. I know I've save so much over the years and am so grateful to all of you for sharing.
Pull up a sleigh and relax with a mulled wine and mince pie, for Christmas has nearly arrived!
@ me if you need anything or you want to let me know anything - the thread moves so fast I can't always keep up so this really helps
A few pointers to make everyone’s life easier and the thread be as useful as possible:
It’s handy to put in bold the bargains so they’re easy to spot
No affiliate links
No need to place mark or post messages of hello or thanks at the start of a new thread - use the ‘watch thread’ button
Be nice or leave
If you have any voucher codes to share (or want to check for any) then have a look https://www.mumsnet.com/talk/christmas/5212144-sharing-voucher-codes
The current referral thread for sharing referral codes here . Please use this rather than this page to share referral links to make the sharing fair.
To make clicks links, you set it up like this only without any spaces apart from between the website and the word(s) you’re writing: www.bargainsahoyeveryonecomehere.co.uk
Thanks @RainbowZebraWarrior for the instructions below.
To make something bold, put this star * either side of the word you want to bold (with no spaces in between)
So starhellostar would look like this.
hello
Obviously use the * not the word star
Some of the below is copied and pasted from previous years, so do @ me if the links don't work
Stock informer is a handy site ^http://www.stockinformer.co.uk/default.aspx?fullsite=1^

Hi, any deals around for little decorated xmas trees to be posted to elderly relatives?

Bloom & Wild do lovely letterbox christmas trees. If you are a new customer you can get £10 with a referral code. I have added mine to the referral board if you need one.

@hiredandsqueak Tesco have 25% off all clothing, I just got DS Christmas jumper for £7. Plenty of novelty men's jumpers and t shirts.

Just came in to post this - works on sale stuff too - I got a couple of bits for this little ones - socks / dress / zip up hoodie tops all between £3-£6 and then the 25% extra off that too.

For the people looking for Wednesday Adam’s stuff they had lots of tees and hoodies in ours (ages about 8-16 range but not all in all sizes) but obviously it’s store dependant.

juicyjellybaby · 06/12/2024 13:21

@fishfingersandchipsagain it is still working for me. Maybe it’s an account specific have you logged in and tried it

@Puffalicious I think this message from me was meant for you!

I thought so! Thank you.

Waffles21 · 06/12/2024 14:07

Hi @supersun23 I posted earlier about a 15% off deal at bloom and wild, code is 6d79x and includes the trees.

Onemoret1me · 06/12/2024 14:15

MerylSqueak · 06/12/2024 06:54

Amazing! Thank you so much. Will have a read through on the school run in a bit

Oh! Thanks for that.

Looks like it is one use per account, so I used my alternative account. I had grouped similar priced items into two orders to make best use of the B3G3.

Waffles21 · 06/12/2024 14:17

Argh, sorry @supersun23 it’s 25% not 15!

ChristmasBobbleHat · 06/12/2024 14:22

Kitsch (satin hair things very popular with teen girls) have a good 30% -50% off sale on with free shipping on everything. Great for satin scrunchies etc and they have the sweetest Christmas pillowcases. Also lots of Harry Potter / Hello Kitty type ones. Confusingly, the website sometimes shows prices in dollars but once you’ve put your postcode in (as if to check out) you can see price in pounds. I have a referral code on the other thread for £10 off for new customers.

My reply from Abel&Cole

I am sorry for the trouble with this. Can I just check where you found the code added onto your account? As it seems the one you were using was only limited to select accounts, we aren't able to add it back on for you due to this. I can add another code to use on your next 3 shops with us without the free prosecco though, just so you aren't totally missing out. I have gone ahead and added that code and that is all ready to go for you - apologies again for the confusion with this.

I wouldn't have ordered without the code/Prosecco so not entirely happy with this

Argh, how annoying @EvilHerbivore I don't mind so much about tne Prosecco but no way would I have ordered without the £10 off!
If its on my receipt surely they have to honour it?
Can you remember what the original code was as I can't!

mumtotwo11 · 06/12/2024 14:42

ytrewq123 · 06/12/2024 10:52

Thank you!

I went and they definitely had them - they were at the till point in the shop I was in xx

I think the code was FIZZ30. My delivery day is next Tuesday, so keen to know if they're honouring the deal as I'll cancel if not!

It’s just worked for me too! I’d been dithering over stocking up on Palm pals for birthday presents, saved me about £7 on the price I looked at yesterday! Thanks x

Zayflower · 06/12/2024 15:12

Can anyone recommend a charcoal drawing set for a new artist (adult). Thanks!

bizzey · 06/12/2024 15:16

My sockshop order came .
Very pleased with the delivery and code info .
Thank you @hugsandpugs .

Packaging was interesting...some of it was open and some were sealed .

I felt 2 of the opened ones.

I think more for milder weather lounging than winter though.

Are the bottoms...err...bit revealing for male recipients ????....

Really messed up on the pyjama shop this this year 😒....

I have got them from Studio in the past but have left it too late this year and now all my sizes are out of stock 😠....

Studio had packs of 2 for £10 -12 .
Brushed cotton or fleece.

Anyone know of a similar website ?

I'm still looking for a bargainous Christmas jumper for DS3. He's 12 almost 13, but he'd need age 15-16 or a small men's (he's slim.but 5ft 8). He has additional needs, so something fun would be great/ gamer related for bonus points.

I've been in bed (ruddy chest infection) so online, or RL shop suggestions that I could just pop in & out to over the next week, can't face my usual trawling.

Thanks

Have a look on boohoo man! I managed to get DS (13) who wears men’s sizes a Xmas jumper for 5.95! It was reduced from £25 to £7 then I used the code XMAS15 for an extra 15% off

I’ve got the snow pea ones from amazon. I am really reluctant to buy electronics that aren’t a known manufacturer, these were on this morning with (also does safety stuff!) Alice beer so I risked them. Seem good so far. They heat rather than have a fan

Brilliant, thank you.

flouncymcflouncerson · 06/12/2024 15:27

Thank you to whoever posted about simply be :) I got DD some trainers, they didn’t have the ones she wanted but got her a different pair which should be ok i think. Couldn’t find any children’s ones for DD12 sadly but will keep browsing online and something will show up I hope! She’s trying to be stylish and cool but I’d rather spend less on her since she’s got more growing to do!

hugsandpugs · 06/12/2024 15:28

@Puffalicious just caught up and realised you’ve been told already about the boohoo Xmas jumper deal I posted the other day so ignore my previous post 😂

Just got in from RL shopping and picking up my bargain £1 jeans from next - just hope they fit now 🙈

My A&C email confirmation shows this - so I assume the £10 has been taken off.

I wear the lounge pants and while they look thin they are definitely warm! ❤️

DS has got the men’s lounge pants and I didn’t notice that they were revealing?!

Thanks @BourbonsAreOverated . Speaking of Aldi, I forgot to say that the hair oil, hair perfume, the NUXE dupe body oils - ordinary and glittery, plus the WOW dupe were all in stock at my nearest Aldi yesterday.

@IlovePond what the WOW dupe at Aldi? I'd love to find a replacement for the outrageously priced WOW original!

@Leipling that's what mine looked like too, then I checked my bank account...so naughty of them.

EvilHerbivore · 06/12/2024 15:43

Can anyone better versed in this give me an idea of an email that says "I'm not happy, I would like £10 refunding and my Prosecco because I feel it's false advertising" for Abel&Cole

It's been a looooong day at work and my brian is fried
